Hi,
I just activated payroll area from BCT, and don't see any update rules for 0PY_C02, does BCT provide any update rules? I saw many posts said 0PY_C02 was updated by datasource 0HR_PY_1? if so, why BCT didn't deliver the content?
Should I just go ahead to create update rules for 0PY_C02 from infosource 0HR_PY_1? Is there any thing that I need to be aware of?
Also, what do we need to consider when putting configuration on "assignment of payroll data to BW month"?

I looked at the metadata, there is no update rule nor any ODS (DSO), InfoSource, data Source before info cube 0PY_C02.
I installed BI content many times using before, before and after for the cube, didn't see any update rules nor transformation.
Also try to installed update rules and transformation, but can't find it.
I am surprised that some of you have no problem to install this particular update rule / transformation.
Please help if anyone has experience on turn on the 0PY_C02?
I want to find out if SAP deliver the update rule? if so, why I can't turn on mine? which verison of BI are you in? any special procedure / transaction I should do in order to see it?

Business Area in 0PY_C02 cube

Dear Support,
I have designed number reports on cube 0PY_C02 , it is working fine last 2 years.
There is new reqirement of business Area in cube . My query is how to add business area in cube because this live cube on production.
1. 0BUS_AREA is coming in PSA & assigned up to info Source . Should i add one charcetristic in cube & change update rule.
or
2. 0ORGUNIT__0BUS_AREA is navigational attribute , but it is unchecked ( off) .Should i use is .
Because after addition of business area , i should not have any impact on previous query . & business area should be display for old also.

Hi Anand,
You can check with business if they are OK with the business are of 0ORGUNIT (which is navigational) or they want the one which is being populated as part of transaction.
If they are ok with the business area which is populated as navigational then you need to enable it at info object level and the also in the info cube level.
if its used in MP then make sure its also enabled and identified in the MP as well.
You need to collect the info cube and its transformations n DTP (if these get deactivated while performing this activity) in to New TR and transport it to production.
In this case there is no need for you to change the existing design and queries.
simply if business area is required in the queries you can add this and repair the queries.
second case :
If you are going to add Business area as a new info object to the IC dimensions then you need to change the Transformation, DTP and MP if any.
for this you need to drop the data and reload the data which i dont think business with suggest.
As per me check with business and take necessary action.

0py_c02 do not have the update rules or transformations in business content

Dear All,
I ma installing the Business content 0py_c02 cube with before data floe option , i found the infosource and transfer rules between Data source and info source but i can not found the Update rules betweeen the infosource and target.
Even if u consider the data source replicated in RSDS update mode, but ther is no transformations. how we can resolve this issue , if any body faced the same issue please update the same.
For creating mannully also there are routines in that update rules( checked same in IDES version) , i can do it same, but why the SAP not delivered the same, or i am going wrong in some where pls.
Any update please , Not received any replies pls.
Please any updates pls on this, The issue is open and waiting for responce from Experts.please can anybody update me.

Hello,
For the cube 0PY_C02 and infosouce 0HR_PY_1, there is no longer
delivered 3.x transfer rules or update rules for this cube.
Therefore if you want to use transfer rules and updates rules,
you have to manually create them (the characteristics and key figures
should have a 1:1 mapping) in your system.
To create, please follow the steps below:
RSA1 > InfoProvider > Choose: 0PY_C02 > click with right button :
"context menu" and choose Adittional Functions > create update rules.
There is same issue on SDN network for reference

Update rules infocube 0py_c02 not found BI 7.0

Hello Forum,
By activating the infocube standard payroll (0PY_C02), I found the problem that the rules for updating the infocube not exist and neither are activated in the BI content version 7.0. I have written a note to Sap, and I say it is not a mistake that the rules in version 7.0 will have to manually create. But of course, I have a doubt. There are features and ratios that are calculated using ABAP and routines are not fed directly from the data source, therefore not as cargo and where can I get the code. Someone has an idea?

My mistake, I hadn't selected my system to view the metadata. I also deleted the original source system client and will re-start the replication and migration with the new client

0PY_C02 issue

kindly suggest me for these prob,......
1)we are using 0py_c02 cube for payroll , and we are loading from 0HR_PT_1,
when we load the data to this , the technical light in monitor will not turn to green .
even though the job is finished in R/3 side.
2) Can any one suggest me what all setting we need to do in R/3 side in SBIW .
(assign ment of payroll dat in BIW), while loading we are not givinf any selection.

Point number 1. -> Check the Monitor Settins in BW side.
SPRO -> SAP NetWeaver -> Business Intelligence -> Automated Processes -> Set Traffic Light Color.
If no Data is available -> They should turn Green
For warnings -> Yellow light should be selected.

Check the output in the transaction LISTCUBE it will give you better picture of the data coming in the multicube.
Check whether the char in the rows of the report is coming from one of the cube only and the key figure which you are looking is coming from different cube.
Also check for the selections on the report if the selection variable is on a char having identification from only of the cube.
this can cause the filtering of data from one of the cube and you will get all the value as # for that particular field.
Take DESG characterstic into the cube 0PY_C02 also.in the update rule(of cube) for this Infoobject take Master data lookup concept.
Make the Identification mapping for the IO DESG of Multiprovider iwth the chacterstic DESG of both cubes .
Then activate the Master data 0Emlyoee_ATTR.
Reupload the data into 0PY_C02.

0PY_C02 infocube not activating

Dear all,
when i try to activate infocube 0PY_c02 it showing "could
not be activated", be4 i was installed from business content that
time it has active status, i was added extra time char's like 0FISCPER3,
0FISCVARNT, 0FISCYEAR, then i activated it showing "could not be
activated", again i installed from business content and activated
it showing same, could you please suggest me how to do

firsr time wn i installed infocube 0PY_C02 is active status, after ading those time Char's 0FISCPER3,0FISCVARNT, 0FISCYEAR, it has shown error as i discussed in first question,
after deleted thoese time chars form infocube 0PY_C02 and activated and again i have installed form Business content, till it is showing same

Need information on 'Repeat Delta' process

Deleted failed request from InfoCube 0PY_C02
Checked Data Mart Status from ODS ZPY_O50 for failed load.
When attempting to push the data from the ODS to InfoCube get error message:
     Last delta update is not yet completed
     Therefore, no new delta update is possible.
     You can start the request again
     if the last delta request is red or green in the monitor (QM activity).
To get load to start, opened process chain and selected Repeat from context menu. This enabled the job to start without the above mentioned error.
Questions to answer:
1. BW is expecting less than 8019027 records to be uploaded to the InfoCube, currently looking in the monitor I see that 44204420 records have been processed. Does this mean that the repeat process is loading all data to InfoCube from ODS?
2. When doing a repeat last delta, does the system repeat only the last successful delta?
3. When doing a repeat last delta, does the system read the entire contents of the ODS then update the InfoCube with the correct records, or just read the last request loaded to the ODS?

Normally the repeat should pull only the failed delta, but for some reason I experienced that too having the repeat was pulling more record that the earlier delta. I would say the delta pointer is not working properly.
Normally, before deleting the failed request, you need to turn the request to red, but that is too late now to do.
You need to reint delta, but you need to make sure that you don't miss the last delta.
Steps:
1. Delete the failed request from the cube.
2. Delete the successful request from the ods
3. Delete initialization from ods to the cube
4. Do init without data transfer from ODS to the cube
5. Reconstruct the last deleted request in the ODS
6. Do Delta from ods to the cube.
Now you have reinitialized and got the last delta which is in the ods.

Data not display in one of the field of Multiprovider

I am using two cubes 0PY_C02 and ZIC_DESG and create Multiprovider ZMPAYDESG.
The Characteristics of ZMPAYDESG are 0EMPLOYEE,0PERSON,ZHRDESG,0COUNTRY_ID,0WAGETYPE.
Time Characteristics of ZMPAYDESG is 0CALMONTH.
Key Figure of ZMPAYDESG is 0Amount.
I checked Identification.
Now my problem is the values in Deminsion are there for Desg. But when I run the query vlues for desg show #.
Does anyone have the idea what might be the reason?

2) Drop down the idea of multi cube and enhance 0EMPLOYEE_ATTR AND load the data in 0EMPLOYEE. and add zdesg in 0py_c02 and activate both ic and update rules?

Issue on HR reporting

For HR you need special authorizations to the extraction user:
Payroll (PY):
For example, DataSource 0HR_PY_1, 0HR_PY_PP_1
P_PCLX (is part of P_BAS_ALL)

Characteristics without information in Queries of HR and PY

Hi All,
Two questions:
1. I have two infocubes activated, Headcount and Personnel Actions (0PA_C01) and Employee-Specific Payroll Data (0PY_C02). I had made extraction for these two cubes and they all are green, no error showed. Both of these share the following characteristics:
Gender - 0GENDER
Nationality - 0NATION
Personnel Area - 0PERS_AREA
Personnel Subarea - 0PERS_SAREA
Employee Group - 0EMPLGROUP
Employee Subgroup - 0EMPLSGROUP
Master Cost Center - 0MAST_CCTR
In the first cube (Head count and personnel action) I have a query Number of personnel actions 0PA_C01_Q002, in this query when I want to make a drilldown with the characteristics that I mention above, I cant see the information of those characteristics. I can only see the total information of the main characteristic (Hiring and Number of Actions).
I dont have that problem with a query of the second infocube I mentioned. I can make a drilldown of those characteristics and they will show me information.
When I go to option Maintain Master Data in every Infoobject, Im seeing that they have information (Master Data).
What can be the problem with the query 0PA_C01_Q002? Why is not showing information in those characteristics?
2. In the Query Quarterly Comparison of Wage Types Previous Year/CurrentYear 0PY_C06_Q008, from the Infocube Employee-Specific Payroll Data (0PY_C02), I can see all the information except for the characteristics of Gender and Nationality. These two characteristics dont show information, and their infoobjects do.
What is wrong with it? All the extraction for this cube are perfect (green)

Almost all the characterstics of both of the cubes gets the dat by looking into either 0EMPLOYEE or 0PERSON.
Gender -GENDER---> from 0PERSON
Nationality - 0NATION---> from 0PERSON
Personnel Area - 0PERS_AREA---> from 0EMPLOYEE
Personnel Subarea - 0PERS_SAREA---> from 0EMPLOYEE
Employee Group - 0EMPLGROUP---> from 0EMPLOYEE
Employee Subgroup - 0EMPLSGROUP---> from 0EMPLOYEE
Master Cost Center - 0MAST_CCTR---> from 0EMPLOYEE
So we have to make sure that all the data available in R/3 for person and Employee is uploaded , before we upload the data to Cube.
So Do full upload for Both 0PERSON_ATTR and 0EMPLOYEE_ATTR and then activate the Master data and then reupload the data to cubes.Then automatically both of your problms get solution.

I did not understand the Budget values in payroll area. Do your client stores Budgeted pyaroll data in R/3 ? If so, in which table.
Generally we use 0PY_C02 cube for payroll reports.
