0xc0000005 - Program will not start
I am getting this message when I try to create a pdf from a Word or Publisher document nor when I try to create a pdf by choosing Adobe as a printer.
The pdf creation installs midway and that's that.
I tried to get an answer via a "chat" but they told me to post this on a forum.
Really? This has to be a known problem. How about an easy fix?

What version of Acrobat? Is AcroTray running in the background?

After update the program will not run. No matter which method I choose. I.E. Run as administrator. Double click.
I tried starting multiple windows but when each one get to a few 2000 mbs showing in Taskmaster they re-treat and close down??

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

bought a second hand laptop running Windows xp. When I go to download firefox, the installation goes seemingly smooth, but the program will not open. There are no firefox processes showing in task manager when I do this. I just downloaded chrome instead, but it sucks and I want firefox but my computer rejects it. I just purchase my first IMac with lion and I was trying to install a math program I bought 6 years ago. When I went to boot it off the disk while following the program instructions a window popped up with a note pad format with symbols and codes but the program would not download or open. How do I get this program to work? It is a mac compatible program by the way.
Your Mac probably does not know with which application to open the file and is opening a file with a text editor that really needs to be opened by the application itself. Try starting the application first, then use the File > open command to open the file.
As varjak paw comments, there isn't a "winmac" so that's not telling us anything.
Note that it is possible that software purchased 6 years ago may no longer run on your computer. Once we know what it is we can help more. -
a few days ago i noticed the fire fox would not start up after i let computer go into sleep. i have ver. 22.0 i upgraded to ver.23.0 and same thing. so i uninstalled it and went back to ver 16.0 now today i see a ad in the lower right of the screen that says show add. i right clicked and bigfins came up in the box. is this a virus? running avg now to see. but

Installed Photoshop Elements 10 Program will not start when click on Icon cannot find exe file
I had a trial version which uninstalled I have purchase copy of Photoshop Elements 10 and installed on my computer which is running windows 7 the set up stated it had finished the setup. When you click on the Icon a message comes up saying it cannot find Photoshop Elements 10.0 exe
Go To the below locations and run the exe files manually and check if you ae able to launch the applications.
C:\\Prog Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10 and run PhotoshopElementseditor.exe
C:\\Prog Files\Adobe\Elements10 Organizer/PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe
In case you are still not able to find the exe files on the above locations, re-install PSE 10 again as it might not have been installed. -
I downloaded and installed Elements 11 but the program will not start - any suggestions?
I believe the install is correct and complete - running Win 7 - 4 gigs of memory -

We have heard this issue on some customers machine after 17.1 update.
The only solution for this was to uninstall Ai and reinstall. If you install directly 2014 release then issue won't be there.

Firefox will not start after an update.
I have to manually uninstall Firefox and manually install the update every time.
I asked a similar question before. The response was to start in safe mode. BUT the program will not start. It acts as if there is a software switch set to "don't run this program under any circumstance." The switch is either in the registry or among the program files, because these both get cleared on a manual uninstall. The update procedure is not clearing the registry or the program files.
Does the update process uninstall the previous version and then install the update version?

I often cannot find the update manually on the Firefox site.
I am on the Beta release channel. The current release is 33.0 beta 4. However, the most recent on the site is beta 3. Where is 33.0 beta 4?
OS is Windows XP latest release.Thanks kenton. But now pop-up says beta 5.
The ''real issue'' is what is going on. On one machine the update process works, but on my other machine it does not.
The machines are identical IBM T60s with Windows XP.
This is a real mystery, as well as being annoying.

Just downloaded new Lightroom CC (2015) (i.e. Lightroom 6), and it will not start
OK just downloaded Lightroom CC (2015) (aka Lightroom 6), Windows 7 laptop, and the program will not start. I have Photoshop CC, Lightroom 5.x, etc, and all run a-okay, no need for admin start, etc.
Side note - as is typical for Adobe installations on my systems, program installs do not place an icon on my desktop, requiring I go to the Adobe folder off Programs to find the EXE file, and "send to" desktop as a shortcut.
That issue aside, I located the Lightroom EXE file in the "Lightroom" folder (note it is not labeled Lightroom CC or Lightroom 6), and tried to start by double clicking - no response. Then tried right clicking, run as admin, no response. Uninstalled, reinstalled, tried same startup procedures, no response. Rebooting does nothing to help either.
Note Lightroom 5.7.1 starts up as normal.
Help.....? I leave tomorrow on a photo trip and would like to use the new LR version.thanks for your reply. i'm not quiting the adobe cloud, i'm signing off then back in entering my email and my password.... tried to reboot, reinstall, sign off from the app and from the web also ... and did not fix the problem. this is very frustrating because i have no splash screen, no error message. There's some log files somewhere ?
anyways the 5.7.1 is working fine, and i can work. thanks god, the CC thingy did not removed the old one and i can work and deliver the pictures tomorrow -

After interrupting an installation of a program downloaded from the internet on my mac in a reboot cycle will not start, I've already done the disk check and it's ok and I reinstalled the OS 10.8 Lion
In this case, I think that there's something damaged that can't be fixed just reinstalling OS X.
If you don't want to lose files, you will have to create a second partition in the hard drive and install OS X there, so you will be able to recover everything you need. Then, you will have to erase the first partition and reinstall OS X. Follow these steps:
1. Hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting to start into OS X Recovery, and open Disk Utility.
2. You can follow the steps of this site to create a second partition > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU3.html
3. After creating the second partition, close Disk Utility and install OS X on the second partition.
4. When the installation finishes, open Finder and, in the sidebar, you will see the other partition. Open it and recover the files you need.
5. After doing that, repeat the step 1.
6. Select “Macintosh HD” in the sidebar, go to Erase tab and erase the disk.
7. Close Disk Utility and install OS X on the first partition.

This might work with a previously failed installation - but there are other guides in the forum to get this position -thanks also to the many threads on the this - which pointed me in the right direction
Previously I'd had issues with Error 1935, (on Shared Technologies), Blue screens due to clbudf.sys from Cyberlink Instant burn which blue screened (thread abort exception) this install as also iTunes. (I haven't installed this now...
My scenario. Win 7 (clean) -> Win 8 -> Win 8.1
After setting up the setting up the system.
I ensured the following : (although begrudingly) so I could do a system restore if needed.
-I disabled Anitvirus & Firewall
-enabled Volume Shadow Copy Service
I then ensured I had downloaded Adobe Application Manager 8.0 (read this may help) - I installed - but I did not run it as I believe it updates to Adobe CC Manager( from previous attempts)
i also downloaded and installed the 32 bit versions of :
C++2008 redistributable (32 bit)
C++2008 SP1 redistributable (32 bit)
I installed Premiere Elements (64 bit) - note I had previously installed Sony Vegas 10 Platinum, which downloaded and installed NET 3.5/Net 2.0 adding to windows features, which many have helped - not sure.
I installed Photoshop Elements (32 bit)
I started both apps and updated them to 12.1.
Happy ... finally - hope this helps others - or at least helps adobe improve their installer, diagnose the issue for others.
