1.1.4 didnt fix the sms issue ... i still get errror invalid number . please resnd useing a valid 10 digital number or valid short code.

Make sure you are only using the 10 digit mobile number and not including a 1 in front....like you would typically do when dialing long distance. If that is not the problem you're having.....then I'm clueless as to why you are getting an error.

Lumia 1020 SMS Issue.

Been having issues for a few months now and haven't been able to find any solutions online. I'm having an issue where I can not send messages to certain numbers and I am just receiving the "Can't send" message as if I had no signal. What's even more confusing is that I have no issue receiving messages from these numbers, I am just incapable of replying. Currently this is only affecting a few contacts, but obviously this is an extremely annoying issue. If you have any advice or tips to solve this issue I would greatly appreciate it. Oh and I've just carried out all possible updates and still the problem persists.

We appreciate your effort in posting your concern on the forum. By the way, are you still experiencing the SMS issue? If yes, have you tried using another SIM card if it makes any difference? Make sure to use the original Micro SIM and not the modified one. You may also try checking this Nokia Lumia 1020 - Troubleshooter for a possible resolution. Any update is very much appreciated.

IPhone 4 SMS issues...not 1 way text

I recently bought an iPhone 4 from verizon. I noticed a SMS issues...getting text from other cell phones with no problem but not from 1 way texts(I.e. Banks, Internet). Tried to open my mobile banking/alerts on my credit cards ( 4 total). When the companies text me the verification code I never received text. Talked with verizon but they didn't find any issues. Their text test came immediately through. They had me send text to my self via (www.txt drop.com) but never got those texts....help What the heck is going on...

If it is not reaching your iPhone has to be an issue with either Verizon or the person sending it.

SMS Issue

Hi,I' recently switched from Black berry to Iphone 5 now facing issue in SMS sending getting error message" Not delivered" it's happening with few specific numbers on the other hand numbers starting with the same series i am able to send SMS Plz Help!

Two things to try:
1- Reset your phone by pressing and holding the power button for about 15 seconds until you see BlackBerry on the screen. Don't release the button until you see that, ignoring anything else that appears before that, and
2- Turn off your phone, remove the SIM card, replace it a few seconds later and power on your phone.
Try those suggestions and post back with your results.

SMS issue on OS 10.2.1.537

everything working find after the update to 10.2.1.537 expect the SMS.
have no problem sending or getting sms/mms but nothing's visible within the "text messages" folder. new sms also not notified and asterick and sound (despite setting the sound on for incoming sms).
the sms is only visible within the blackberry hub.
i've rebooted 3 times.. even power off and took out the battery for abt 5-10mins. still no sms showing up in the "text messages" folder.
what's the issue. how can i solve this problem ? plz help

BB 8900 SMS issue.

Hi chaps - I have a strange issue happening with our blackberry's here at work.
We have recently adopted a new format for phone numbers - all numbers are now stored as +44 (0) 111111. The Blackberry's picked this up and started working absolutely fine except for one area - sending SMS messages.
When going to a contact though the contact list, then selecting to send them an SMS message, this works absolutely perfectly without any issues at all, however when going through the SMS/MMS section (which you would normally associate as the way to send SMS) then composing the SMS & adding contacts, it fails to send, giving a 'Network out of order' error.
The network itself is fine, and this is a problem affecting 20+ 8900 users, so it has to be down to the way the device is handling the numbers itself (although it is slightly confusing that it would work through the contacts section).
I have adjusted the country code within the smart dialing section to +44, which allows phone calls to connect as normal, however it seems that trying to send an SMS through the SMS section may not ignore the leading zero (0) as it should, hence the failures.
So, after that rather contrived, and probably somewhat confusing explaination of the problem does anyone have any ideas as to where to look for a solution? I have almost given up

Email & SMS issues : E71

Hi,
Problem started recently, it was working fine for about 1 week.
I could not open and email or sms. Not sure whether is it any software i installed, but have since remove most of it.
The other issues that's bothering me is when ever i reset my HP, there will be a program installing, but will report "unable to complete installation, to complete installation, go to application manager....."
How can i check what is the application that it is trying to installed and fail????

That is a common setting for some email accounts hosted in AOL or Yahoo, and some others. You need to change that setting to send you a text alert in your hosting account.

E65 SMS ISSUE

When i recieve SMS, i try to reply using REPLY option. My sms does not went out from mobile, it gives error.
Settings for text message are given below:-
Msg.centre in use: SIM MSG CENTRE
Character encoding: Reduced support
Recieve report: Yes
Messae validity: Maximum time
Message sent as: text
Preferred conn: GSM/UMTS
Reply via same centre: NO (i have tried set this optiont o YES but still it does not work)
Does 00 or + before international country code plays important role while replying to sms?
I appreciate help on this issue.

SMS issues Blackberry Z30

I've been having issues with SMS conversations taking a few seconds to load, and responses won't send immediately. In some cases I have to make 4 or 5 attempts, or even reset the device before I can send SMS.
No issues with phone calss, BBM, or email messages.

I just updated my Z30 but sending SMS is not an issues.
It sends them straight away.

IPhone 4S SMS issues

I am having issues with SMS messages coming from Ukraine.
One text will be ok, but if one is sent soon after the first, it comes across in Japanese language.
They checked and it is not on their end. When I had the IPhone 3, I did not have this problem.

2 SMS Issues with Blackberry Curve 8530

Hi, I've had 2 issues with my SMS functions on my BB curve 8530 which is recently purchased.
1) I don't receive any form of notification when I receive SMSes, regardless of whether my BB is in Vibrate or Normal mode. The LED light does not flash either. I know (from other forums) that this is a common problem, but I have yet to find a valid solution for this. This problem occured around 1 month after using the BB.
2) Initially when using SMSes it comes in a chat format (e.g. history of the conversation will appear below as you type a reply) but now it only appears when I am viewing a received message. When I try to send a outgoing message, I am only able to see the history of messages I have typed, and not the ones received. How do I rectify this issue?

Hello, i'm not sure about a solution for number 1, but i am experiencing the same problem for number 2. Before i changed my theme from the classsic one, everything was going okay with my texts but since i have changed it i can no longer view my messages as a conversation. I can still see my messages but i have to go all the way through the message menu ( sms inbox/outbox ect) I recommend that you open a message from your inbox, hit the blackberry key, scroll down to options, then general, then where it says theme controlled change it to combined. I tried that and it didnt work for me, but it might for you as it did to my friend. Good luck!

9300i sms issues

Good day all.
I just got a hold of a 9300i and noticed 3 things about it that I'm not sure if it's a setting issue or a software issue.
1. When I receive sms's, I"m only shown the number it is from and not the sender's name (eventhough the sender is in my phone directory).
2. When I type, and after I get to the end of the sentence and hit full stop, and when I start the next sentence, it starts with a small caps. In my old O2, after every full stop, it starts with capitals (similar to the mobile phone sms style).
3. No vibration mode?????

Thanks for your help. I guess I'll just have to type all my stuff without using full stops. Don't understand why they have this for sms's (in phone mode), and can't just do the same for the "flipped" mode.
As for the names showing up in the sms's, I mucked around and found out the issue. I had all my contacts in my SIM card. I then tried putting all my contacts from the SIM to the phone... and that worked. BUT I didn't know a quick way of doing this, so I had to download the numbers (from another phone) to my computer, then to download the numbers to the 9300i. I shouldn't have gotten this phone as I'm probably too dumb to use it.. sigh..

SMS Issues (N97)

Suddenly for no apparent reason I've stopped receiving SMS messages while the phone is running. If I turn it off and then back on the messages appear.
I also don't seem to be receiving reports from messages sent either, although I know they're going through as people have replied to me.
I've checked all my settings and nothing has changed, reports are still turned on, etc. I've not made any changes to the phone, no updates or anything, so does anyone have any ideas? People have been trying to contact me and it's becoming an issue.

SMS issues anyone?

SMS could be better. Some things I've noticed:
1. Can't add a number from contacts to a text message.
2. Can't save a number from a text to contacts.
3. Can't text more than one contact at a time.
As a keen text messager I was wondering if anyone has any solutions.

5530 sms issue

hi all,
i just bough this 5530 last week. not so familiar with touch screen phone but overall so far so good. i had a issue on this sms messaging, when i was viewing the message (new message / sms text) i accidently highlighted some text and save it to 'clip board' but i can't locate it where is the clip board located. can anyone tell me how to locate this folder / location? cox i want to delete what i had highlighted and save. pls help...many thanks in advance.

thanks alot for yr reply (psycho mania). from yr reply saying to retrieve text from the clipboard is to paste it into another message or note. how to do that? would you mind giving me the step? or i can find this on the manual guide?
i'm not really understand, since copy to 'clipboard' but cannot be view or accessed it then how to use this so called 'function' and after i switch off the phone the contents i had save to 'clipboard' are been erased so what is the purpose of this function? cannot view or accessed or can't even pull back the contents for another message too. is this a bug?
