10.5.7 Pages Issues

I am trying to export a word from Pages as a MS Word document, which seems to work, but when i or anyone tries to open the new file it is corrupted and cannot be opened. I have to do this regularly and have never had an issue before i updated today. Ideas? Also, in Pages when i type now the typing is very slow, its fine in safari etc. Pages is like the only program the update seems to have damaged for me.

Make sure when you use File > Export... Word Document, you don't +hide the extension+. For example, instead of saving it as Test, save it as Test.doc
Hope that helps. I know that is a common issue I have when saving, I forget to add the ".doc" extension b/c I know it will open on my Mac either way. But on Windows, that's not the same case. It requires you to have the ".doc" extension.
Sorry if that wasn't the right solution, it's all I can think of right now.

How do you fix redirecting page issue?

Every time I click any links like coolermaster.com links at Google search engine box, it redirects me to random website. So, how do you prevent this redirecting page issue? It pisses me off! Empty page issue in Oracle Reports!

Hi All,
I am facing an empty page issue between header and cover trailer when Main section is empty.
In a report there are two forms Form-1 (Portrait size) , Form-2 (Landscape size)...
Based on run time parameter we optionally print form-1 , form-2 or both.
ie if run time parameter is 1 then only form 1
if it is 2 then only form - 2
if it is 3 then both
As Form-1 is portrait size and Form-2 is Landscape size,
At present in Report Layout, Form-1 is designed in Cover page Header Section
and Form-2 is designed in Main section of report.
So When the report is run with PRINT_PATTERN='2', Main section will be empty.
An empty page issue appears in report for form-2.
Is there anyway to avoid EMPTY PAGE issue between header and trailer page,
based on runtime parameter value if Main section is empty.

The issue I posted is not about the rdf or in concurrent program. The problem I've encountered is in the tally printer itself. So what I did was to adjust the paper size settings in the printer.

10.5.7 Pages Issue

Ok, so this is really a Pages issue but i am posting here because i think it is caused by the update. I am trying to export a word from Pages as a MS Word document, which seems to work, but when i or anyone tries to open the new file it is corrupted and cannot be opened. Never install more than one update at a time especially those requiring a reboot.
Always use the manual combo update.
Always run DU and repair permissions and HD before and after the update.
Never update or upgrade a computer that is not working perfectly. Any problems should be addressed before updating, unless the problem is specifically addressed by the update. Otherwise, the update will usually make the problem worse, not better.

Issue with ovi support page. issue with bought app...

i ve got some problems with ovi store. some apps which were bought while ago (they are showed in my content bookmark in phone ovi store), but when i try to redonload them it tells me that i must buy them again! i ve got all confirmation emails with numbers of my apps.
strangeness lies in the fact that all the apps which i try to redownload are newer versions than i had. but i repeat ALL this apps are showed in my content, and they were bought by me.

Custom Master Page Issue in Intranet

Hi All,
I hope someone can assist with this, we implemented this particular SharePoint 2007 portal approximately 5 years ago. An outside consultant created this custom master page, for some reason out of nowhere we are experiencing this bizarre issue with
the master page and checking in and out documents. I have attached an image showing the error message being displayed below(couldn't attach until my account was verified but it states 'Error invalid viewstate, port 52208, user agent Mozilla/4.0..., viewstate,
referrer, path). I came across one source on the web that stated something about the search box code and it causing issues out of nowhere on the master page. So in my dev environment I made the change and removed the following code from the master
page below.

By any chance, do you still have access to the solution package in which the master page was contained? Normally, you would see another .ascx user control overriding the delegate search control in there. I'm almost positive that this custom control is
what causing this issue.

Report Builder - Last page issue and Report Footer issue

I am using ColdFusion 9 Report Builder, am new to this product and encountering 2 issues.
Issue 1 - I have a field that I would like to print on the last page of my report. How can I determine the last page? I initially tried using a calculated field set to the 'highest' calc.Page_Number. Then I could compare the current page to the last page in the 'Print When' property. But calc.Page_Number can not be used in a definition of a calculated field.
Issue 2 - Depending on the amount of report detail, sometimes my report footer prints alone, without a page header and page footer. The report includes this page in the total number of pages. For example, if it is a 2 page report, the page header on page 1 will display Page 1 of 2. Then the only data on Page 2 is the Report Footer. No page header or page footer prints.
Any assistance on these issues would be most appreciated. To date, using the Report Builder has not been easy.

To issue 1: The report contains a report band called report footer. thsi is always at the last page. The report footer band initially is collapsed, so you have to expand it by dragging the last band divider.
To issue 2: I guess this is a page break calculating error when detail data reaches really near the page footer area.
Try some experiments with different setting of the following properties/issues:
- in elements, e.g. calculating fields in the bands between report detail and page footer: In Properties / Print Control / Printing Options: Activate the option "Remove line when blank". This will remove the whole report band area if this field is blank. May save some empty space.
- try to remove unused empty space between detail rows.
- try to resize and reposition all detail fields so that they snap to the grid.

Code page issue - Unix file(s) content display in a report output

I am trying to retrieve file from Unix server and display in my report output.
I have written code as below:
OPEN DATASET filename FOR INPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.
DO.
READ DATASET filename INTO i_tab-line.
ENDDO.
CLOSE DATASET.
1. Now i am able to display files of type .txt in report output but with line numbers above each line.
How can i avaoid it! I want to display as it looks in AL11 view.
2. If i am displaying files of type .PDF it is giving dump with below message:
A character set conversion is not possible.
At the conversion of text from code page '4110' to '4102' is not possible.
- a character was found that cannot be displayed in one of the two code pages;
- or it was detected that this conversion is not supported.
How can i display the .PDF (or) all types of files in my report as it is viewable in AL11.
Can anybody solve this this.
I have tried UTF-8 & NON-UNICODE options with ENCODE also they are also giving same dump.
Can anybody resolve these issues!

SharePoint Reporting Services Integration - System Settings Page Issue

Hi All,
A client of mine has setup Reporting Services (SQL Server 2012 SP1) integration on a SharePoint 2010 environment and this has been working fine for a while now. This includes viewing SSRS reports and also creating PowerView reports from the SharePoint interface.
The only issue that we have is when we browse to the SQL Reporting Services service application via SharePoint Central Administration and select 'System Settings' we receive an error and can't configure any of the settings located on this page.
Looking at the ULS logs I can see the following error is raised:
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Microsoft.ReportingServices.SharePoint.SharedService.UI.ReportingServicesSystemSettings.InitStrings() at Microsoft.ReportingServices.SharePoint.SharedService.UI.ReportingServicesSystemSettings.OnInit(EventArgs

I removed the existing service application and uninstalled the SharePoint Services (using Install-SPRSService). I then reconfigured the RS services and created a new service application but the error is still raised. All other pages under the service application
can be loaded. We also tried setting the reporting services diagnostic logs to verbose but couldn't see any further information.
Has anybody seen this before? I'm thinking that perhaps some of the configuration settings for this page actually carry a null value when it should be configured with something. Does anybody know where these settings are saved?

Just thought I'd provide an update, we ended up resolving this, problem was related to an incorrect ID one one of the fields in ReportingServicesSystemSettings.aspx.
Updating this to the correct ID resolved the issue. Weird thing was that the file was incorrect on more than one server, only had to obviously update it on the CA server though. After this the System Settings page opened without any problems.

Master page issue

Has the problem of objects in the master pages falling out of the document after exporting to pdf been addressed in CS6?

Both threads mention CS6, but I can personally vow this also happens with CS4 -- only last month, an intern ran afoul of it and all I needed was a single glance to spot the issue.
I have a habit of *never* straddling objects across master pages; it could be I learned not to as much as a decade ago. I'm pretty sure every now and then it was mentioned as a harmful bug in this forum.

Custom page issue in smartforms

hi all,
As per requirement custom page with 11 inch X 12 inch page size.In windows in default page setting is "letter" so when i am taking print out ,system is considering that letter format and it is not printing all the data as per form developde .
if i maintained in window page setting as A3 size paper then all data is printing but in next page is skipping up 1/4 page and 2nd page is printing from there only.
Requireemnt is system should not consider the windows default setting and it should consider the paeg size what defined in SAP.The users in client orgabnisation are not allowed to change any windows settings.
Kindly guide me how we can solve the issue by doing development in SAP.

Hi Venkat,
I don't think there's such option available in smartforms unless you change the frontend (windows) settings.
You must change your printer default settings in windows to match smartform size.

Custom Master Page issue with Document Set Libraries

Details: Publishing site using SharePoint 2013. The SharePoint is on my company's servers.
Have a custom Master page that has a navigation banner (built with HTML/CSS/javascript). The site has it applied successfully to the "Site Master Page" but when I also apply it to the "System Master Page", the libraries that have
Document Set type content do not show the files within. We'd like to be successful in applying to the "System Master Page" as that allows the banner to show when an actual library is accessed. Any suggestions, please?

Custom master page issue only some pages not all (spwebpart manager)

Hi i am using html custom master page in sharepoint 2013, In my search page (home) working properly without any issue,
But in my Result.aspx page showing below error.
A WebPartZone can only exist on a page which contains a SPWebPartManager. The SPWebPartManager must be placed before any WebPartZones on the page.

Custom master page issue in subsites

Greetings!
I've run into an oddity with a custom master page on my SharePoint 2013 Enterprise server. I copied the html for the seattle master page, renamed it so it wouldn't change the seattle master, made an addition to it to add a reference to a custom css
file, then threw it back up on the site so SP would make a new .master file with it. I created a new web app and site collection, put the custom css file in the Style Library and added the custom master page to the Master Pages.
So, all that being done, I changed the look of the top level site to use the new master page and it looks great and seems to be working as expected. We've got a number of subsites planned for underneath this top level site, I'm thinking no problem, just
put the custom master file in the master pages and we'll be good. So I create a subsite, put the custom master page in the subsite's Master Pages, change the look. The master page and custom css apply and it looks good, but, then the problem starts.
When I go into a document library and change a view or add a view or delete a view I get back an odd response page from SP. In the url I see this: https://topsite/subsite/_vti_bin/owssvr.dll?CS=65001
and in the body of the message: 69|pageRedirect|owssvr|https://topsite/subsite/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx|
When I go back into the subsite, whatever change I was attempting when I get these results worked fine.
So, why does my custom master page work fine on the top level, but not on the subsites? If I switch the subsite back to the Seattle.master, the oddity goes away, so that tells me it's something to do with my custom master page and/or custom css. I did
some searching for owssvr.dll?CS=65001 and didn't see anything that helped. I checked IIS and the web.config file and don't have ASP.net tracing on that I could find.
All that the custom css is doing is increasing the size allowable for the site icon (.ms-siteicon-img) to allow for a larger icon (180px square) and it pushes the side Nav Box down a bit to make room for the larger icon and changes the font size for the
side Nave Box (#sideNavBox). Since it works on the top site, I'm not suspecting the css, but, it's not making sense to me why the custom master page wouldn't work in subsites either.
I ran into this issue earlier, it was showing up when deleting folders from the document library. I thought I'd made a boo-boo somewhere in creating the custom master page, or how I'd added it, or something (kind of a learn as I go situation here), so I
deleted the entire web app and recreated it, hoping for a clean start and a good master page and everything would be good. Guess I'm still missing something.
I swear that the ONLY change I made to the seattle html file for my custom page was to add this line just below the corev15.css line: 
So, that's my sad story. Any suggestions, other than to punt on the custom master page?

Print Preview of particular page issue in SAP script

Hi all,
Kindly help me to resolve the following issue in SAPscript.
I have a particular business requirement to preview a particular page in 'n' pages of a SAPscript. After executing the sapscript calling program, the print window appears, in which i can choose particular page in the <b>Page Selection</b> Field.
The problem is that the preview shows some other page rather than the appropriate page. Please help me to resolve the issue.

You need to call NEW-PAGE command in the sapscript when the user select a page in page selection.
Try this:
create the following text element in the sapscript in any window, preferibly MAIN window
/E PBREAK
/: NEW-PAGE &user_selected_page&
In the Print program: OPEN_FORM returns a parameter called RESULT.
case result-tdpageslct.
when '2'.
user_selected_page = <second page name in the sapscript>
when '3'.
user_selected_page = <third page name in the sapscript>
when others.
clear user_selected_page.
endcase.
if not user_selected_page is initial.
call function WRITE_FORM and call above created text element
endif.
If the pages you are trying to display does not have main window, make sure next page in the page definition is not the same page in the sapscript.

Restrict Access to Page Issue...

Hi this is my first time on Adobe forums, im regard myself as
new to web design, im making my first proper website, for portfolio
purposes. www.imaginationwebdesign.co.uk/port2 is the website..
I am using Dreamweaver CS3 coding with HTML / PHP / MySQL
My Issue:
I have implemented Restrict Access to Page dependant upon
User / Pass / Access Level.
Access Levels are 1 and 3 and are stored on my MySQL
Database.
3 = Full Admin Rights
1 = Minimal Admin Rights.
Now, Whilst the Restrict access works, when Access Level 1
attempts to display page only for Access Level 3, It's not
redirecting to the "AccessDenied.php" page... instead a blank white
page is being displayed and unless i press Back, it just stays
blank and doesnt redirect.
I have used the Server Behaviour Panel so the code is

As I said in my original reply, the problem was almost
certainly caused
by an error that you couldn't see because the display of
errors is
turned off for security reasons. The Restrict Access to Page
server
behavior uses session_start(), which must come before there
is any
output to the browser. "Output" includes new lines or
whitespace outside
PHP tags. There is almost certainly an extra line at the end
of
con1.php, which would prevent the session from starting. In
turn, that
would generate an error, resulting in your blank page.
The problem is closely related to the "headers already sent"
error
message that confuses most PHP beginners. Read about it here:

By the way, it sounds as though you are testing everything on
a remote
server, rather than testing locally before deploying to a
remote server.
That's a very bad idea, particularly if the display of errors
is turned
off. You should test files in a safe, local environment with
error
reporting turned to the highest level, and eliminate all
errors before
deploying to a live server. If you're testing locally, make
sure that
error_reporting in php.ini is set to E_ALL, and that
display_errors is on.
