100% width slideshows

HI!  I am a photographer, trying to show my gallery in 100% width.  Obviously, this being my work, it is important to show the whole image.
When doing 100% it seems to be cutting off my images with fill frame proportionately.  I know I can make it fit frame proportionately, but that then creates empty space on larger browsers. Is there any way to do it so that it will not have blank space on the sides in a larger browser? Maybe creating the images a different size in Photoshop?  If so, how would I determine what size?
THANKS!!

Sorry that should say I am using a 100% width Slideshow.

  • 100% Width Slideshow Not Displaying Images Correctly In Phone Version...

    Hi all... Again.
    2nd issue encountered tonight since working on the mobile version of my current project. Having copied, pasted and resized the 100% width slideshow from the homepage of my Desktop version to my Phone version and after having applied different resolution images and published successfully, I made some edits to a different page (the main "About" page, nothing to do with the Homepage) and published only to find that the images in the slideshow are now not displaying correctly...
    After the first (of eight) image, it seems to skip the next one entirely and apply the text for the 2nd image to the 3rd image, the text for the 3rd image to the 4th image and so on... Additional to that, it seems to also randomly use the Desktop resolution images for four of the images... WHY?!
    I made NO changes to the slideshow since the last publish so WHY has it changed?
    I've tried re-applying the correct images and re-uploading; no change. I've tried doing a full-upload; no change. I've tried closing down Muse and trying again; no change. My only option left really is to either update to the October 27th edition of Muse (which I was deliberately holding off on, until I completed this project, which aside from the mobile version is done!), or to revert back to the previous version of Muse in the hopes either of these will resolve the issue. Only problem with that is I've started using the text sync features and the new contact form features (such as ReCaptcha, which is a pain in and of itself if you want to use two forms on one page!! Heaven forbid!)... So I'd really rather not have to revert back but I also don't really want to risk screwing anything up further with the latest update, as has happened on more than one occasion for me when in the middle - or near the end - of projects!
    Is anyone else encountering this? Anyone able to replicate it? Anyone know how to fix it? I'm really reluctant to continue on with the Phone version of this project until I know I won't keep encountering this sort of thing...
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

  • 100% width slideshow issue

    i've created a full-width slideshow inside of a composition that is also 100% of the page width.  when the browser window is re-sized, the page develops a wide margin next to the images.
    if you go to http://blipdapp.com/ and click on the "about" link at the bottom, then resize the browser window and select one of the other tabs (connect, create or share), you'll see the problem.
    the only way to correct the issue seems to be refreshing the browser.  does anyone know of a way to fix this?

    Hi, please see the below thread link for a workaround.
    Re: slideshow within composition widget - 100%width image causes bug
    Also, please vote on the idea to add 100% width support to the composition widget so that the Adobe Muse team will hopefully fix this soon.

  • 100% width slideshow

    I have inserted images that are bigger than the height of the slideshow i have on my home page.  fro example one image is 1500 pixels tall where the slideshow container is about 300 pixels.  when I set the sldieshow to 100% width it locks the image to the bottom of the picture and I cannot adjust the position of the picture in the slideshow.  the only way is to take it off 100% width.  is this a bug or there a way that I can achieve what I am looking to do.

    Hi
    What you have encountered is default behavior of the slideshow widget,which when set to 100% width. I am afraid at this stage, you cannot edit /resize the image. Hence to do the same you will need to take the 100% width option off from the widget.

  • Adding multiple 100% width slideshows to the top of a page and using triggers to select.  Is it possible???

    Hi!
    I am looking to create a changeable slideshow at the top of a webpage. I want to be able to select different slideshows to view at the top of the page and use triggers/buttons to select the relevant slideshow. This is for a catering site, so I would like that if the user clicks 'canapes' button the slideshow images at the top of the page will show canapes and the caption will show text about them, if they select the 'cocktails' button then a new slideshow will appear showing images of cocktails together with a relevant caption.
    I thought this might be possible by placing slideshows within a lightbox or composition widget but seem to be banging my head against the wall! Can someone help?
    Is it possible?
    If yes, is there a youtube video to show how its done?
    Any help much appreciated.
    Martin

    Is it possible? Yes... I wouldn't do it because having all those images sitting on the one (first) page will slow the page loading times down and just piss people off but thats your main answeer.
    The compositions widgets allow you to build more complex ideas and is what I'd use to make this sort of thing in Muse...
    p.s. if you just want something fast then have a look at what some people have already made to get ideas;

  • How do I make my webpage 100% width on any desktop resolution?

    Hi,
    I designed a website mockup on Photoshop with the dimensions of W: 1280 x H: 2464 but when placing the JPG file on the empty homepage
    to see how it would look and fit, it wasn't taking up the whole screen and instead was centre and there was white background left and right.
    I'm viewing this on my desktop thats 1920x1080.
    I'm new to Muse so I'm not sure what is the best dimension settings to choose for a website that would work great on almost any desktop.
    An exmple of the style of website I want to create is the Nestea website
    For the header and footer of my website I have a huge image instead of a solid colour.
    I know the images have to be really large so they don't get stretched out and loose quality but
    if someone could tell me the dimensions and settings to put when creating a new website so that
    I could re-mockup the website with the same dimensions and that if I placed the JPG file to see how it
    would look, that it would fit edge to edge and not loose any quality.
    Thanks

  • 100% width and 100% height slideshow in Muse

    Hi, In Muse is it possible have a  slideshow that maintains full 100% width image but increases the slideshow height as the browser width is increased? In other words, I would like the slide show image to be say 1000px x 500px but if the viewer pulls the browser width t 1500px the slideshow image would still show the full image by becoming taller. At the moment I can do the 100% width but the slideshow stays the same height and therefore crops the image. .

  • 100% width thumbnail container in lightbox slideshow?

    Is there a way to make the thumbnail container 100% width in a lightbox slideshow?
    Basically I want a strip of 4-5 photos to span 100% of the width of the screen, then the user can click on an individual photo to bring up the larger version.
    I have it set up working the way I want except I can't make the thumbnail container 100% width.

    You can try this option :

  • Slideshow within composition widget - 100%width image causes bug

    Hi community,
    I asked once before for a solution.
    Tried to solve it by myself, but everything I tried didn't change the problem and no one posted something similar.
    I placed a combination of a composition and a slideshow widget at my site because I want to have
    - triggers on which you can klick
    - 100% width images
    - the background images of the middle part of the site should change together with the slideshow image
    So I placed in every target of the composition widget a slideshow with only one image (set to 100% width) and the other elements.
    When I start the preview in the browser (Safari+Firefox), the images of the slideshow are set to 100% indeed, but the most times during the slideshow they are shifted to the right (always to the position where the other content starts),
    or - if I have a very small browser window - they are shifted to the left.
    In that moment I change the size of browser window a bit, they switch back to their 100%width look.
    Can anyone help me?
    Add some screenshotsr better understanding
    If I set the images not to 100%width it works well.
    Thanks
    nadine

    Did you find an answer to this?  If so, it would be great to see what you found.
    If not, I've come up with a workaround although it's not the best designed solution, but it works.
    First an explanation.  Although I didn't spend enough time researching Adobe Muse generated JavaScript for all the details, I found that the slideshow seems to correctly dynamically set its pixel width to a width that spans the browser window, however the css left property is not always dynamically adjusting properly and therefore shifts the image off of the screen. This appears to be something buggy or unintentional with the Adobe Muse generated code.
    So to solve this, the workaround is to keep triggering the window resize event so that the left property updates through the Adobe Muse generated script.  It would be better of course to trigger this only when the slideshow changes.  Or would even be better if the Adobe Muse team fixes the bug as well as makes it easier to create 100% width compositions so that the slideshow workaround is not even needed.
    In the meantime, here's how to implement the fix:
    1) In Adobe Muse, go to the page that your slideshow exists on
    2) Object > Insert HTML...
    3) Paste the below JavaScript
    <script>
    function triggerResize() {
    //trigger resize event
    if (document.createEvent) { // W3C
        var ev = document.createEvent('Event');
        ev.initEvent('resize', true, true);
        window.dispatchEvent(ev);
    } else { // IE
        document.fireEvent('onresize');
    //call the trigger evey 100 milliseconds
    setInterval(function () {triggerResize();}, 100);
    </script>

  • How can I set 100% width my slideshow on mobile version

    Hello!
    It's been a while I needed to ask this question here but a huge problem of authentication from ADOBE forum took months to be solved by them.
    Anyway, I have a website made with muse (desktop). I tried to decline it in tablet and photo version as it said ti be easy from abode muse team video.
    But the sideshow photo don't behave in the mobile version as expected.
    http://demis.nu/phone/modeles.html
    the worse is the landscape orientation. The photos are just to big for the screen.
    I tried 100% width, and cancelled it, I tried to resize the size of the photo to fit the both sides of the page...anyway, anything I tried wasn't satisfying.
    I know the solution is to make it responsive but I couldn't be able to find the way to do it in Muse.
    I tried the demo of muse in the early hours (2011) and years after it's obvious the adobe muse team have understood responsive design rules everything and I'm sure they implemented it but can't find it.
    Can someone give me a help please because the phone version is online and is horrible.
    thank you so much.

    No one could help me please?

  • 100% width composition slideshow shifted to the left upon browser preview.

    I previously asked this question to no avail, here is the link to my other question which also includes a link to another user experiencing this issue.
    Full-Width slideshow appears fine in editing stage but browser preview shifts the slideshow to the left?
    Whenever I browser preview my site it looks like this until I resize the window as small as even 1px then it snaps back to full width and works fine, tested on 2 versions of Firefox and Chrome and the same problem occurs.

    Hi,
    Have you published your site?  If Yes, Can you please share the URL of your website.

  • How to set an object to 100% width now that Muse no longer has the button?

    I'm trying to set a slideshow to 100% width like the tutorials constantly talk about, but that is no longer possible in the latest version of Muse. The button is gone. So how do you do it? And why did Adobe remove the 100% width button? They seemed proud of it when it was released as a new feature.

    Hi,
    The 100% width option is available for the slideshow widget. But to use it in your slideshow, make sure you have selected the "Hero Image" of the slideshow and then click on the button of the 100% width option.

  • 100% width on Safari for iOS

    I have designed a site that involves 100% width objects and a slideshow (basic).  When I use it on iOS devices the width doesn't fill the screen and all the elements are somewhat left justified, leaving a white margin to the right.  It looks perfect - just as I made it - on my Mac.   Does anyone else have this issue, and is there a workaround?
    Thanks!

  • 100% width slide show misaligns content placed over it

    I have been able to replicate this a few times and was wondering if anyone had any insight or the same issue:
    1. Add 100% width slide show (full page) to page from widget menu.
    2. Once established, add 100% width rectangle at top ( this is where logo and horizontal menu will go)
    3. Add logo and menu over 100% width rectangle.
    4. Change opacity of rectangle to 64%
    5. Publish to BC
    Upon publish, the rectangle gets pushed up about 40px and the logo and menu and pushed down about 20px. It seems something gets inserted? Very frustrating. I have tried putting the slide show in a separate layer as well. No luck.
    on PC, windows 7 ultimate.

    Sure: Home
    This is a basic page:
    Full page/width slide show - you can see that I only deleted the captions and arrows - no other changes to slideshow.
    Full page slide show with a rectangle (no border, opacity 77%. height: 102px)
    Tagline over the rectangle.
    Logo Rectangle with "Logo" text over that.
    You can see the transparent rectangle gets pushed up, the other elements remain in place.
    I can replicate this over and over and just did this example on a Windows machine again - different computer.
