1099 Two forms per page

We are looking for a PDF template solution where we can print two 1099 forms per page. I can see there is an Enhancement Request BUG 7604141 but we need a fix sooner than that may become available.

Our organization is having this issue with the new Adobe forms that were released. The 1099 smartforms print 2 forms per page but the 1099 adobe forms are only printing 1 form per the OSS note that was just released - Note: 1949022. Is there somewhere in config that we can select to print 2 per page?
We are using IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC which will print just 1 form per page ( we also had to make some adjustments because the top gets cut off...)

The 1099 Interest adobe form prints 2 per page with IDWTCERT_US_1099INT - this is curious too because the smartform prints 3 forms per page

1042 form will not print two forms per page

Hello gurus,
We are testing printing 1042 forms using the Generic Withholding Tax Reporting transaction S_P00_07000134 in 4.7.
If I have 5 different vendors to report on for example, the program will output three sheets with vendor 1 on the top of the first sheet, vendor 3 on the top of the second sheet and vendor 5 on the top of the third sheet. The bottom (or second 1042 on the sheet) is printing the form but not the withholding data. It therefore seems that it's skipping every other record. However, the log lists the 5 vendor payments. That's where I noticed the pattern of every other record.
I appreciate your thoughts on what the cause might be!

For Macintosh the AdobeViewer Plugins does not function and Hasn't since Acrobat 8. Adobe has no intention of fixing it, I received a nasty reply: what feature do you want removed in order fix the problem. Its not worth it and we have no intention of ever fixing it. However its shipped and installed on the Mac version
The only PDF Plugin that works is PDFBrowser Plugin by Schubert of Germany, and it appears he has discontined updating although Thankfully It works in OSX.8 with most mdern Updates. You can Only fill out forms by opening Chrome, iCab , and OperaNext only Safari doesn't work and any product using the Gecko Rendering engine (Mozilla Products , FireFox and SeaMonkey Form Fields don't work or crash the browser. (depending upon version of the pdfBrowser Plugin).

1099 Form - Misc doesn't print 2 forms per page.

The 2007A PLD form that we have prints only 1 form per page. The 1099 forms that we have for MISC have 2 'forms' per page. I have tried scaling the size of the repetitive area so 2 vendors print per page, but I am unsuccessful. How does PLD know how many vendors (1099's) to print per page?

Adobe 9 standard printing two sheets per page but set for one - win7 pro

I have a copy of Adobe 9 Standard on a Windows 7 64 bit OS. Printing from this product results in a "booklet" style output with two pages per sheet. All options are set for one page for sheet both in Adobe products and in the printer prefs. Has anyone seen this before or have any clue as to where I should look for what I am missing?

Are you using the Adobe PDF printer or PDF Maker. The settings for these two methods are set in different places and that may be the issue.

Working on existing document; two forms of page numbers (starts as i,ii,iii and moves to 2,3,4)

I inherited a facing-pages document with two master pages. They are supposed to have page numbers in them (1,2,3,4 etc) but the first few pages of the document are i,ii,iii etc. and I can't figure out how to change them. Can anyone help?

That's pretty standard formatting for a document divided into sections withthe first section containing front matter and the "real" page 1 appearing further into the file. What's the first page number after the i, ii,iii ... series?
Number style is changed by slecting the first page of a section (it will have a small triangle above it) in the Pages panel and going to the Numbering And Section Options where you will find a drop-down for number style. It's a bad idea to have multiple pages with the same logical page number using the same number style, and ID will complain.

Printing document as a "book" with two images per page

I am a new user and am struggling to take a 100 page text document with imbedded photos and print it like a "book." What I'd like to do is print using 2 images to a page (the same image) and duplexing, so that I essentially print two "books" that are duplexed (I will then cut the document in half) and then bind. I have not been able to figure out how to print 2 page 1's, then two page two's, etc., as a single print job. Can anyone help me?

Not sure if I fully understand what you are trying to achieve, but this may help.
When you are in the book layout page over to the left you will see thumb nail images of your book layout. Starting with the cover and then inside cover and pages etc etc. Below this to the left are a row of icons, choose the plus "+" then scroll down to the bottom where you get a choice of "Duplicate page." Hope that helps?

Printing 1099-Misc forms - 1 up forms?

We are using RFIDYYWT to print 1099-MISCu2019s but do not want to use the SAP standard "2 up" 1099 form.
We need to print one 1099 vendor per page instead of the SAP standard of 2 different vendors on each page, because we use a fold and seal form, and print a second copy for the recipient. I have scanned and loaded a new bitmap overlay with SE78 and have created a new SMARTFORM for our 1099, basically a copy of the original IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC SMARTFORM, and have created a second output group (US2) for the US_1099 process type to reference the new form.
All of this was pretty basic work, although getting the scanned overlay image the right size is tricky.
My current issue is we are dropping every other 1099, e.g. the program thinks it is still sending 2 vendors per page to the form.     I need to find how to set the output to one 1099 per page. (If I can't I will redo as a 2 page form as a fall back, but that is an awful solution.)
Does anyone know how to control the 1099 output to indicate 1 vendor instead of 2 per output form?

Printing two vendors per page is controlled by somewhat convoluted logic within the IDWTCERT_US_1099MISC Smartform MAIN window logic.   Look for references to the "append_time" counter and the SUBPAGENO counter.   These are used to control paging every other record. I've got it working but have some remaining cleanup to get it completely right.

Only use htmldb_item once per page?

Not sure how to word this correctly.
Am I correct in assuming that I can only use the htmldb_item once per page? I know it can be used multiple times within the tabular report, but if I used it again on the same page in a different region, how would it be distinguishable from a previous iteration?
Say I have two regions on a page, both with manually created tabular reports using the htmldb_item syntax. It's not apparent to me (if there is a way), on how using the htmldb_application syntax to distinguish between region 1 and region 2. They both would wind up with g_f01, etc. variables, but I don't see any other characteristics to differentiate between them, like maybe passing a region (or any other) name to the htmldb_item construct so the the arrays could be distinguished more?
This is all new to me, I've been out of loop for the last 8 years doing manual data cleanup from an old database that was basically a spreadsheet (a real mess!), so forgive me again if I'm missing anything obvious or just way off base.

You are correct that you want to avoid populating values in the same global arrays g_f0n more than once by creating tabular forms in two regions. It would be hard to distinguish from which region values in a particular array came. You can, however use g_f01..g_f10 for one region and then g_f11..g_f20 for another region.
This assumes you're doing manual process of these arrays, because the processes used by the wizard can only deal with one tabular form per page.

Print 1099 MISC form

We applied the 2008 1009 oss note. Now I'm trying to test print in T03. Once I execute the program, I went to SPA script to print the form on a plain sheet. I could to print preview.But, I'm unable create spool. I did choose the Print form option and my printer is local printer. I'm able print other forms to this printer.
Can some one advise...

Two forms on same page..save state of one form while submitting other.

I have 2 form on same page....
first is form on table....
nd another is tabular form.....
now if I make an entry in both table ,,,,and after entering data in tabular form if click on submit button of tabular for the data of tabular form get submitted,,but the data I have been enter in first form get erased.....
now my question is how can I save state of my first form even after clicking on submit button...........
pls,help.

in your scenario you can write manual process for one form in your both forms, using this way you can achieve you functionality.
do the above and for that manual process keep the button name as your second form button means, for two forms saving with only one button.
i am not sure in this, but you can try something.

How to submit two forms once in one jsp page?

My jsp page includes two forms: one form's action is a File Upload servlet, which process file uploading; another is a general servlet to collect user inputs, such as user name, age, etc.
Because the file upload servlet is a legacy component, and it was used in many applications. we could not meger it into our business components.
the system requires the file upload and information collection are submitted once. so we have to submit two forms in one 'Submit' action, at the same time, the information collection servlet need get the information from file upload servlet, such as the uploaded file's url.
I have tried two methods, but all failed
1. Upload form has no a 'Submit' button, when user click the 'submit' button of the information collection form, we use a javascript to submit upload form first, then submit information collection form. Failed at: the second submit dose wait for upload finishing, then the second submit interrupt the upload
2. the javascript only submit upload form, and set HTML body's onUnload event to another javascript that submit information collection form. this time, the file upload sucess, and information collection form sucess at most time. But fail when user click the 'refresh' or 'back' or any navigator buttons of the browser. these action will trigger the page 'unload' event too, but the submit if invalid!
Please tell me how to.

chain the both requests!
- build one mutlitpart request and send it to a servlet that can handle that multipart request (think of using oreilly MultiPartParser).
- check the input (all requiered fields and files there)
- if yes store the user fields and create a socket connection from your servlet to the legacy file upload servlet and post the file this way.
- like this you have full control over the users input and can make sure the file and the fields are just save if all requiered elements are availble.

PDF presentation printing in handout form, 4-6 slides per page.

I have a 40 page PDF that was created in PPT. I need to print it in handout form, 4-6 per page. How do I do that?

It is easier to go back to the PPT and create handouts from there by printing to the Adobe PDF printer. You can print the current PDF to a new PDF with the selection of multi-up in the printer properties.

Two forms that update differrent tables on the same page?

I tried to add two forms that update different tables on to one page.
Problem is when I do that the forms gives me an error saying the field does not exist. It's like it is trying to update one table with the other tables fields.
As an example Say I have one forms that is for people table and another one that is the Jobs table.
When I go to update the people table, it sends the data for the jobs fields too I get an error like the field job description does not exist.
I have two different forms for these and everything.
I would hope it is possible to have two forms that update different tables on the same page.

I was trying the exact same thing, but i managed to work round it by setting the steps to hide one region, so the user would enter the form see one region submit the region then direct back to the same page with the different region visible and the original hidden.
I don't know if this would be acceptable for you...

Struts : Validating two forms in a single page , on a single submit

In my JSP page, i have two forms, with modifiable feilds. I'm using submit button of the 2nd form to submit both forms (ie. <form action="someAction2.do" onsubmit="return firstForm.submit();"> )
Two forms have different actions which is specified in structs-config.xml. Validation(server-side) is done using validation.xml file.On success/failure, both these actions are mapped to the same (input) JSP page.
Problem is that, validation errors in second form only is displayed. This is because, as soon as 1st form returns validation errors, the second form gets submitted. How can i specify that 2nd form should be submitted only if the 1st form doesnot return any validation errors. I know its possible using javascript at client side, but i want this validation on server-side.
Can any one please help me out. Thanks

Off hand I dont know the answer to your question. But since no one answered your question, here are my 2 cents worth:
I suggest all your JSP pages have one and only one form tag. Re write your JSP page. Make sure all your variables your submitting have unique names. (no duplicate names). As far as I know, having multiple forms on a JSP page is not normallly done and makes it difficult to alter by another programmer after you leave the company.
