If my compilation steps are wrong Please let me know the compilation steps for 10g form

Hi DurgaSrinivas_886836 ,
You should post your query on Oracle E Business Suite forums, not here.
You are trying to compile Forms 10g with f60gen, and using all the settings of Forms 6. That is obviously wrong.
You need to use the correct commands for 10g, frmcmp from the bin folder of DevSuite10g home. Trying random combinations will not get you anywhere. Read the documentation for 10g.
Better post on EBS forum. There may be other issues like no support for 10g in EBS 11.5.xx.xx that you are using.

  • Urgent: Form Compilation Error using frmcmp.sh on OAS 10.1.2, pls help..

    Hi All,
    I am upgrading from OAS 9.0.4 to 10.1.2 where Forms 10g application is deployed.
    When I try to recompile with frmcmp.sh :
    frmcmp.sh userid=system/oracle123@odb module_type=FORM module=menu1.fmb
    I get errors :
    Compiling Procedure GET_PATH...
    Compilation error on procedure GET_PATH:
    PL/SQL ERROR 201 at line 4, column 32
    Identifier 'APPS_MENU1_DET' must be declared
    PL/SQL ERROR 0 at line 4, column 3
    SQL Statement ignored
    Compilation error have occured.
    Form not created
    What cause this error ?
    FYI, on the above compilation I connect to different database/schema, not the one
    which is used by the Form, is this the reason of th error ?
    During compilation, Do I have to connect to the database/schema I used when develop the form ?
    DO I have to create all tables in the schema first before compilation ?
    Tnank you for your hwlp,
    xtanto
    PS. When I compile the same Form with F90genm.sh on OAS 9.0.4, NO ERROR.

    From my experience it's a really bad idea to install OCS into a AS IM. When it comes to upgrades and patches you'll pull your hair out!
    Why not install OCS first and then install the BI into the OCS AS server... I have not checked the certification matrix but that might be a better solution to look into.

  • Forms compilation Errors under Linux

    Hello,
    I have a main form called Tbdoctrk.fmb.
    This forms compiles and runs perfectly through Oracle 9i iDS.
    When transfering the fmb file under Linux, and attempting to recompile using the f90genm.sh utility, I get the following compilation errors:
    FRM-18108: Failed to load the following objects.
    FRM-30436: Parent window not specified for canvas.View Canvas H_TOOLBAR
    FRM-30041: Position of item places it off of canvas.
    Item: BUTTON_HELP
    Block: VARIABLE
    Form: TBDOCTRK
    FRM: Unable to adjust form for output.
    ====
    I noticed that most of the object that failed to load (1 data block object, 1 canvas and a number of property classes and visual attributes) are contained in a file called TOOLBAR.fmb.
    The TOOLBAR.fmb file compiles without errors under Linux/WIndows + is located in the same folder as the Tbdoctrk.fmb file.
    1) How can I resolve this issue ?
    PT
    PS: I tried renaming the fmb files to upper/lower case without success.

    Hello,
    My main form called Tbdoctrk.fmb in turn calls a form called Pre_bord.fmb in a Program Unit.
    Most but not all Class and Value Attributes are included in a file called toolbar.fmb. I did not find any specific reference to the toolbar.fmb file.
    However, at compile time, I find that those objects are not loaded.
    1) In what part of the main form Tbdoctrk.fmb should I find any such reference to the toolbar.fmb file ?
    2) How should I create those symbolic links under Linux ?

  • Form compilation Error in Oracle R12

    Dear All
    i am Facing a Problem during compilation of forms (10g) over oracle EBS R12. My Operating System is 'Linux'.
    Following is the command for compilation:
    [oracle@dell US]$ frmcmp_batch module=FORM_NAME.FMB userid=apps/apps
    output_file=/u01/oracle/PROD/apps/apps_st/appl/per/12.0.0/forms/US/FORM_NAME.FMX module_type=form
    batch=yes compile_all=special
    When i run this command it error out following:
    bash : frm_batch : command not found
    Please guide me about the solution of this problem
    Regard
    Ahmed.

    Hi Ahmed,
    Thanks for not being vague about your OS.
    It seems like you are trying to run a command for the apps user with the oracle user.
    Try switching to the apps user, then source the environment as this is clearly an environment issue.

  • Forms compiler error 103 - help please

    I am trying to compile form procedure with legal PL/SQL block this type
    PROCEDURE xy IS
    CURSOR c_row1_mi IS
    SELECT x| |y AS row1, ziehung_id, zs
    FROM (SELECT x, ziehung_id, zs
    FROM table1
    WHERE tm_lo_z_lotto = 'MI'
    ORDER BY zs desc),
    table2
    WHERE ziehung_id = tm_lo_s6_ziehung_id
    AND ROWNUM <= 6
    ORDER BY zs;
    BEGIN
    FOR cr IN c_row1_mi LOOP
    END LOOP;
    END;
    There is no problem with running the procedure via SQL Plus. But it is not possible to compile this procedure as a form procedure (version 6.0.8.13.0).
    The error message is: Error 103 on row ... found symbol "ORDER" ...
    for first (ORDER BY zs desc) clause. Without this "order by" clause the complilation is sucsseful.
    Any comment is welcome.

    The PL/SQL engine in Forms is based on the 8.0.6 RSFs. The ability to use a SELECT statement in the FROM clause of a query was added in 8.1.6 or later. Therefore you can't use that feature in Forms.
    It works in Oracle9i Forms, though, since that's based on the 9i RSFs.
    Your only workaround is to move the query to a stored procedure in the database, or change the query.

    Muthu,
    Please always give your Forms, Java and Client OS version. This information is almost always needed!
    What is your Forms, Java and Client OS versions?
    While compile the form, the browser is blank...It sounds like you are trying to run your form from the Forms Builder. If this is true, you must configure your Forms installation to enable this.
    What configuration steps have you completed? Take a look at How to Configure Forms Builder to run forms locally to make sure you have completed all the necessary steps.
    Hope this helps,

  • Forms Compilation Error

    Hello All,
    I'm a experienced developer but new to Forms. I am a remote worker using a Window XP box currently running Forms Builder Version 9.0.4.0.19.
    Our production system is Unix Solaris with with Forms Builder 6.08.17.01. When I try to update a 6.x form on my XP system i get the following error:
    ERROR 201 at line 6, column 1
    IDENTIFIER ‘CALL’ MUST BE DECLARED
    This is what is being called: call('pmp31pma');
    I have put the pmp31pma form/rpt on my local machine in hopes of getting it to compile - no luck.
    My goal is to be able to work in forms on my XP box and then upload/compile on the unix box for production. Can this be done? Do I need to install a older Forms Builder 6.xx on my XP system. Does my FORMS90_PATH need to be modified on my XP system?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

    Thanks Jan,
    I will un-install my Forms Builder 9.0.4.0.19 and attemp to install Forms Builder 6i Release 2 downloaded fromthe Oracle website.

    Do they recompile post upgrade?
    With database versions prior to 11.2.0.2, you needed to disable Fast Validation in the database when performing Applications upgrades or maintenance operations.
    ie set
    disablefast_validate=TRUE
    in the pfile before you start the upgrade.

  • Oracle Forms - Compilation error due to attached libraries

    Hi,
    I am builing forms using Oracle Forms 10g and almost everytime I recompile the form, I have to delete some attached libraries and add them again. This happens a lot of times and I don't know why. These attached libraires have not been changed.
    Can anyone help me with this issue please? It's very anoying :(
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Amado
    Edited by: 973539 on 27/Nov/2012 20:09

    That should be correct. If you attached the libraries without a path, modified your FORMS_PATH to include the path that the libraries are sitting in, then the form should pick them up.
    I would:
    1. Verify that FORMS_PATH has the correct path. Make sure the '\' are pointing in the right direction and that the path is separated from the other paths by a semicolon.
    2. Make sure you changed the correct FORMS_PATH. You might have multiple ORACLE_HOMEs so you need to make sure the ORACLE_HOME you are using is the one that has FORMS_PATH set up in it.
    3. After FORMS_PATH is correct you shouldn't have to reattach the libraries, but try it again without including the path.
    I read CraigBs reply below and it made me think of something else you might want to look at:
    4. Check all the directories that are listed in your FORMS_PATH and see if there are older versions of the libraries in one of the paths that shouldn't be there and remove the unneccessary ones. For example, if your FORMS_PATH is set to "C:\Work\11g;C:\Oracle11g\Middleware\as_1\forms;C:\Oracle11g\Middleware\asinst_1\FormsComponent\forms;" then there are three directories that forms looks through everytime it runs. In this case, you would check all three directories and see if there were older libraries in there that needed to be removed because they are overwriting the one that you want to be picked up.

    Form not created
    I think some standard library are missing in Linux environment. But I do not know the name of them and neither I can find. Please suggest the what need to be done to resolve the problem. The reason I am compiling the form in Linux is that I can run the form in windows because of corrupted installation of OC4j.
    Thanking you all much in advance.

    Deepank-
    When generating forms from Designer, Designer attaches libraries - like ofgmes.pll, ofgnavl.pll, etc. You will need to copy these libraries to the same directory where your forms reside on your Linux box. To find out what libraries ate attached to your form, open it on your windows PC after generating it from Designer and you will see the attached libraries. Also, watch out for the case-sensitivity of Linux. If you have the Designer libraries on your linux box and you still get errors, try changing the case of the names of the libraries.
    Hope this helps,

  • 10g Migration Problem: error shown when trying to call a report from form

    Dear Friends,
    I am working on migrating developer 2000 forms to 10g forms. I am using migration tool for this. Everything is going fine except calling report from a form.
    Say, in the original form I had the following:
    RUN_PRODUCT(REPORTS,’ C:\test1.rdf’,SYNCHRONOUS,RUNTIME,FILESYSTEM,pi_id,NULL);
    After migration its has become:
    rp2rro.rp2rro_run_product(REPORTS, ’ C:\test1.rdf’,SYNCHRONOUS,RUNTIME,FILESYSTEM,pi_id,NULL);
    Then, I have kept the report ‘test1.rdf’ in the ‘OraHomeAS\reports\samples\demo\’ location and changed the above code into:
    rp2rro.rp2rro_run_product(REPORTS,'test1.rdf',SYNCHRONOUS,RUNTIME,FILESYSTEM,pi_id,NULL);
    Now the form runs fine on application server but it can’t call the report. While attempting to call the report, it shows the following error:
    ORA-06508
    FRM-40735
    Please note that the report ‘test1.rdf’ individually runs fine on the application server and at the time of migration I provided all the information (e.g. report server name) correctly. If I am missing any package, please tell which package I am missing and where should I paste it.
    Please help me because I am very close to the deadline!
    Rgds,
    Luther

    Hi,
    The conversion to use the rp2rrp call needs a library to resolve the call which I think is called rp2rro.pll.
    It seems that this library is not being found at run time, which is what the ora-06508 error often means.
    I guess that you have compiled the form and must therefore have the pll to compile, so it is the forms_path setting in the app server run time that might not be set.
    Look at the environment file (default.env is the original name for this, if you haven't created a custom one) for the entry FORMS_PATH. Is the location of your library specified in the path ?? If not put the directory in, then stop and restart the app server.
