10gr2 64 Link failed

dear all,
i downloaded oracle database 10gr2 from this link:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/oracle10g/htdocs/10201linx8664soft.html
in order to install it in my hp AMD64 opteroN
Previously, i view that my certify matrix is ok
my OS is: Red Hat Enterprise ES 5 (64)
but when i want to install the oracle through ./runInstaller this show me a message that
this platform must to be 32 bits or that software that i want to install is for 32 bits architecture.
This link is bad?
Where i get 10gr2 64 BITS for RHEL 5 AS ?
thabks a lot

Installation 64bit Oracle on RH is tricky because you should install 32 and 64 bit packages. I have version 4.6 (CentOS) with these packages:
binutils-2.15.92.0.2-24 (x86_64)
compat-db-4.1.25-9 (i386)
compat-db-4.1.25-9 (x86_64)

libstdc++-3.4.6-9 (x86_64)
libstdc++-3.4.6-9 (i386)
libstdc++-devel-3.4.6-9 (x86_64)
make-3.80-6.EL4 (x86_64)
pdksh-5.2.14-30.6 (x86_64)

  • Native iOS app with MAF logon components: Linking fails

    Hi all,
I try to compile a SDK 3.0 project with MAF logon components.
I followed this tutorial and finally got a running iOS app with the dependencies for the SDK: Getting started with SMP3 Native OData iOS apps
Now I would like to add MAF logon component usage. The Sybase guide describes this under Developing with MAF Logon.  I copied the basic initialization steps from there to my project.
However, although I have all the required headers, the linker fails trying to find the implementation for MAFLogonUIViewManager.h
I guess I did not add a dependency properly. In which of the files/bundles added should this component be?
    Best, Martin

    Hi,
I am having a similar issue. I am following the same instructions. At the point where I create the LogonHandler, the file MAFLogonManagerNG.h is not found by Xcode. This file does not seem to be present in the SDK either. When I comment it out, the MAFLogonUIViewManager is not recognized.
Have you been able to resolve your issue?

  • Linker fails with exit code 1

    Hello,
I have ported a CodeWarrior project to XCode and the debug build works successfully using zero-link. However my release build, which does not use zero-link fails with:
Command /usr/bin/g++-4.0 failed with exit code 1
I'm using XCode 2.2 with Mac OS X.4.5
I've done some searching on the formus but I can't seem to find anything about exit code 1. Anyone got any ideas?
Not sure if its helpfull (I'm new to XCode) but I do also get a warning:
prebinding disabled because dependent library: /System/Library/Frameworks/SystemConfiguration.framework/Versions/A/SystemConfi guration can't be searched.
I did find some notes on prebinding: http://developer.apple.com/releasenotes/DeveloperTools/Prebinding.html
and unless I'm very much on the wrong path it seems that I should be able to continue my build without it so I'm not sure this is related.
I hope I've supplied enough info. Any help appreciated.
    Thanks
    Sean

This is the line that describes exactly what is wrong:
    ld: duplicate symbol _main in /Users/cal/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Test2-dddrxmdmqydygiejxapflqfrsz qr/Build/Intermediates/Test2.build/Debug/Test2.build/Objects-normal/x86_64/File . o and /Users/cal/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Test2-dddrxmdmqydygiejxapflqfrsz qr/Build/Intermediates/Test2.build/Debug/Test2.build/Objects-normal/x86_64/Calc u lator.o for architecture x86_64
You have main defined in both 'File' and 'Calculator'.

  • Ad link fails

    Hi
When I click on a link returned by Google that is at the top of the search found list it fails.
This is a link designated as ''Ad'' and has a slight pink or salmon colored background. If I copy and past the link that failed into the search area of the Navigation tool bar it works.
The failure message is from Fire Fox and states "Unable to Connect" and "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.name.com."

  • Handling the triggers if the DB link fails

    Hi all,
I created a DB Link named stream2.us.oracle.com from scott schema of stream1.us.oracle.com database to scott schema of stream2.us.oracle.com database. Now i created the trigger on dept table using the created DB link at scott of stream1.us.oracle.com (The intention of trigger is whenever any insert, delete or update operations are done at the source the changes have to be applied at the destination). It is working fine, but now if at the source i have done some DML then if the DB Link fails, then how can i do that DML at the destination..
Please give the solution for me, it is very serious and urgent issue to me.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mahi

    Mahi,
The problem with using triggers is that it tightly couple s the 2 databases together. If your target database goes down for whatever reason there is no simple way of propagating the change, so you have a choice 1. either force a failure in your source database, by raising an exception, or potentially lose the data.
It is a far better architecture to use streams which loosely couples the 2 databases together so that when your target database returns it will be updated with the changes that it has missed. This is given to you for free in the database why wouldn't you use it. You cannot use the same architectural principles in a distributed database as you use in a standalone database, becuase it makes it operationally impossible. My advice is therefore to persuade your company to change their outdated policy on only using triggers.
    apologies - rant over. ;0)

  • Link Fail Alarm - SFP Ports

    Hello,
I have been trying to configure the Link Fail Alarm on SFP ports for a Cisco CGS2520 (Cisco CGS-2520-16S-8PC).
    SFP: GLC-FE-100FX-RGD (10-2360-02).
I can create a new Alarm Profile and attach it to the Ports that I want to monitor. The update Profile can then be saved to the startup-config and the configuration can be viewed as being correct.
If I then pull a fibre cable the Alarm is generated as expected.
However when I reboot the Switch the Alarm Profile is still within the configuration but it is no longer attached to the ports (i.e. the Alarm Profile configuration is shown on the startup-config however the running-config does not contain the alarm profile on the SFP port). Therefore when the Fibre Cable is removed no alarm is generated.
I have run through the procedure as defined in Chapter 7 of the Cisco CGS2520 Configuration Guide and as stated above copied the running-config to the startup-config.
Is anyone able to advise why the port attachment is lost when the switch is restarted – the Alarm Profile is retained.
    Thank you,
    Darsh

  • Link Failed - Check Network Connection

This past Monday, one of my sccm 2012 secondary site servers had to be taken offline because the building lost power for the day.  Since then, the db link state (monitoring -> Database Replication) for that secondary site has showed failed, even
though the site has been back online for over 24 hours.
When I run the replication link analyzer, I get this:
Connection failure detected between SCCM-CP1.hw.local and the SQL Server SCCM-PA2.hw.local\CONFIGMGRSEC.  Check network and firewall settings between these computers.
EDIT:  I forgot to mention the obvious: the network connection between the two sites is up and in excellent condition
When I view the replication status for that link, everything is green on the parent site tab, and ? on the child site tab.  The summary tab shows the following:
    Site Replication Status
    Parent Site:  CP1
    Parent Site State:  Replication Active
    Child Site:  PA2
    Child Site State:  Replication Active
    Global Data Replication Status
Parent Site to Child Site Global State:  Link Failed
Parent Site to Child Site Global Synchronization Time:  5/7/2012 10:32 AM
Child Site to Parent Site Global State:  Link Failed
Last Synchronization Time:  5/7/2012 9:10 AM
    Global Data Initialization Percentage:  100%
    Site Data Replication Status
Child Site to Parent Site State:  Not Applicable
Child Site to Parent Site Synchronization Time:

Mine has been doing the same thing, however, restarting the servers did NOT solve my issue.
I find my self in the same situation.
May i ask, what did solve your problem.

  • Replication Link Failing or Degraded

I have just upgraded my test environment to SCCM 2012 SP1 to SCCM 2012 R2.  I now have replication issues between my CAS and Primary Site server.  On the CAS it looks as though the link is active (although I do get an error when running the Replication
Link Analyzer) on the Primary it is definitely showing as Link failed.  I get the following message - Replication group on the Primary site are degraded.  Replication group Global -receiving pattern CFG_Global.  The SCCM client package on the
Primary keeps trying to install and although I can see it on the DP it's a version 1000.  I've look in the replmgr.log and the rcmctrl.log but I can't see any errors. On the SMS_Replication_Configuration_Monitor the link status goes between active, degraded
and failed.  And as mentioned before the Distribution Manager doesnt show any errors but keeps saying its successfully processed the Configuration Manager Client Package.  Does anyone have any ideas what I should try?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
“Degraded Link means any of the replication group is processing the message slower than the defined threshold.”
The following threads might be helpful.
Site replication degraded then a minute later, changes back
    to active
Link State is degraded on SCCM2012

  • Site-relative links fail on local testing server

Using CS4/WAMP/XP, I have a testing server set up. All works well except that when I specify site-relative links, on the testing server they go back to localhost, not localhost/Frances. They work fine on the live site, but not on my testing server.
This prevents me from using (well, testing) 'include' files for things like menus when parts of the site are in different folders.
I have my site setup as follows:
    Local Info
    Site name "FFG2009"
    Local root folder C:\wamp\www\Frances\
    Default images folder C:\wamp\www\Frances\images\
    HTTP Address: http://localhost/Frances/
    Testing Server
    Server model: PHP/MySQL
    Access: Local/Network
    Testing Server Folder: C:\wamp\www\Frances testing\
    URL Prefix: http://localhost/Frances/
In my Apache config file I have a virtual directory set up like this
    Alias /Frances/ "c:/wamp/www/Frances/"
    <Directory "c:/wamp/www/Frances/">
        options all +includes
        AllowOverride all
        Order allow,deny
        Allow from 127.0.0.1
    </Directory>
I have been advised that I could temporarily change the Apache webroot folder to my "Frances" folder, but that stops other things like PHPMyAdmin from working. Also I have other sites within my www directory and I'd rather not have to change the Apache rootweb directory every time I need to work on a different site.
Is there a way to set up my site in CS4 so that site root links go to localhost/Frances rather than just localhost?
    Thanks
    Tone'z

    Many thanks Mark.
I fact I spent all yesterday coming to the same solution. Finally at around 12:30am this morning it worked!
Early in the day I found the same reference you mentioned in an on-line copy of David Power's book where he exactly described the very problem I had - and with the VH solution.
However, I had a problem with an obscure syntax error in the virtual hosts include file. I still don't know what it was. The flag to perform a syntax check on HTTPD startup didn't discover it. The problem actually prevented the Apache service from starting at all but that little point escaped me for a long time because the WAMP system tray icon is so small I didn't spot that it was telling me "some services are running" (half yellow) instead of "all services are running" (white).
It wasn't until I ran (in desperation!) Apache Monitor that it became obvious that Apache was tripping over this virtual host definition and failing to start.
It also seems that if you have any virtual host directive in an include file, then it negates the localhost directive in the Apache config file. So when I define the Frances virtual host, I also need to have localhost defined in the include file.
It was this localhost directive that was causing the problem. I found it by having Apache Monitor running so I can see the true state of the Apache service and, after pointing the config file 'include' directive to a vhosts file...
empty the vhosts file - Apache starts - 'localhost' works, frances doesn't - makes sense.
add the frances virtualhost definition to the vhosts file - Apache starts -  'frances' goes to the frances site, 'localhost' does too (dam')
add the localhost virtualhost definition to the vhosts file - Apache fails to start - "IE cannot display this page"
pull out the localhost definition - Apache starts... hmmmm... .
find an example localhost definition from somewhere else - to all intents and purposes identical to mine - add it in - Apache starts!
Both localhost and frances now work! Maybe there was a space where no space should be - I don't know.
Of course I also had to add entries into windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts to point to 127.0.0.1.
Oh yes, virtualhosts are fussy about folder names. You cannot have spaces in a folder name.
    Thanks
    Tone'z

  • Firefox doesn't close when I'm trying to close it and links fail to complete.

I'm on Windows Vista Home Premium on a Dell Inspiron. When I first log into Firefox, it will come up (slowly), but if I try to go to a linked site, it seems to balk, and looks like it is partially connecting, but the connection doesn't actually take. If I go to the address I'm trying to reach, highlight it and double click, it may or may not fully connect. Then, if I am trying to get out of Firefox, it appears as though I'm leaving normally, but later, when I try to get back on, it tells me that there is already a connection with Firefox running and that I will have to close that before I can open another - but that takes a trip to Windows Task Manager. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This has been going on for - a guess - about 6 months. To say it's frustrating is an understatement at this point. I'm not very savvy re: techtalk, so I need help to be as simple and direct as possible. I can follow directions very well if I can understand them. Jeanne

This sounds like a connection problem. Perhaps there's dirt, lint or fuzz in the connection port or the cable wire is failing.
Check and carefully clean the connection ports if necessary.
Try a different Apple or name brand cable.

  • Site link failed

    Hi All,
We have a client with one CAS & 4 primary sites (All the sites are SCCM 2012 R2) because of some maintenance work one of the primary site was down for few hours & now in site hierarchy the link shows as failed. when we hover over the link it
shows that the Global data replication between the CAS & the Primary site is failing.
    What we have tried :-
    1. Run the replication link analyzer - Its unable to resolve the issue & just shows the names of replication groups which are failing.
    2. Run the  SPdiagdrs command on primary site DB - This shows the Global replication groups which are failing & are not active.
    3. Run the Update RCM_DRSInitilazationTracking set initializationstatus=7 where ReplicationGroup = "Group Name" - To reinitialize the replication.
    4. configuration data.pub      => Drop these on Primary server  RCM.BOX - As mentioned
here. This solved the issue initially but the replication was failed again after some time.
    5. rcmctrl.log on CAS shows this error :-

  • Generated Webhelp Navigation Book Links fail

    Robohelp HTML 9.0.1.232
    Word 2010
    WebHelp - custom template
Each time i generate a project with two linked word files, book links randomly fail. There is no pattern as to which book link will fail on each generation. Sometimes one fails, sometimes more than one.
By fail, i mean clicking the book link does not activate the page.
Any ideas why this might be happening?
    TIA
    Rob

    Hello again
While it certainly wouldn't hurt to clear the CPD file, I'd be surprised to discover it makes any real difference.
Question here. This one is a huge "gotcha" with mixing Word and RoboHelp this way. Do any of your Headings (which should end up being converted to individual topics) have any odd characters?
Note that when I say "Odd Characters" I mean any character other than A-Z, a-z, the underscore ( _ ) or 0-9. Quotes count as an odd character as do things like the shifted numbers ( [email protected]#$%^&*()+ ). If so, I'm going to say that this is where your issue lies. While it's fine to use those characters in Word, they may wreak havoc when used as a file name.
    Cheers... Rick
