16 months later and finally 701
it was a lot easier that I ever imagined and pretty fun too. When i started this journey 18 months ago I had zero Credit Cards and a 586 credit score. Now I have 7 cards with about $25,000 in limits currently under 23% usage and my Discover card FICO score as of this morning is a 701. My wife and I are now in a position to sell and move out of our home in a very rough neighborhood and into something better for our family. Thank you everyone. For newcomers take this advice to heart. NOthing can fix the mistakes of your past like time. Ther is no shorcut just pay your bills and do the right thing. I still have one negative account and it kills me because i know it is my fault. What would my score be if i would have taken better care of my student loans. Oh well they have been paid on time for over 48 months now and in time they too will heal themselves.

I called Apple technical support in Denmark, but with no positive reply.
She couldn't do anything, and said that They had sent a recall Email about the problem and with their offer to repair the Macbook Pro, but I'd never recieved an Email about the problem. She wasn't in power to make an exception. It can't be true that i paid a lot of money, for a product that can't barely stand on its own feets, Apple didn't tell me that the product I was about to buy, would restart every 5 minute. and now when they know the problem, they wont repair it? it just don't make sense for me. If a car seller discovers that all the brakes in a car he had sold, will crash after some years he will call all the cars back to repair no mater what. i just don't understand how Apple will make good service for their custumers, by extending the warranty from 2 to 3 years, but wont take the computers there is a little bit to old, 4 months will make the difference. i can't believe it.
What can i do now?

Months later and I still cannot update to IOS 5.1!!!
You name it, Ive tried it. Done all the different trouble shooting bits and bobs, ie uninstalled security, itunes reinstalled ,disabled apple mobile, used a different pc, etc yet still i cannot update my ipad?
I even ventured to my local Apple store and the assistant had the same problem and couldn't help me either!
Is it only my Ipad having this problem? Why can't the Apple people see this device either??
Apart from throwing the thing in the bin does anyone else have any suggestions of what I can do that might work please?
Hoping someone will suggest something that I haven't already tried and will work.

Below I have pasted the last thing I tried that still didnt work...
From the Start menu, click All Programs and click Accessories.
Click Run. A Run window (command prompt) appears.
Type msconfig in the Open field and click OK.
If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue. The System Configuration Utility opens.
Click the General tab.
Select the "Selective Startup" option.
Deselect the "Load Startup Items" checkbox.
Note: This step requires disabling third-party System Services and Startup Items, which can prevent some software or OEM hardware on your computer from working correctly. For example, this can affect the CD/DVD control buttons on portable computers or prevent wireless keyboards and mice from functioning. This is only required during troubleshooting to help isolate third-party conflicts with Apple software.
Click the Startup tab.
Select the "iTunes" and "QuickTime" checkboxes in the list.
Click the Services tab.
Make sure that "Hide All Microsoft Services" is selected.
Click Disable All.
Note: If you are troubleshooting an issue related to iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch, select the Apple Mobile Device checkbox.
Click OK.
Click Restart. After restarting (and logging in to Windows), a message may appear stating that Windows has blocked startup programs and indicates the Blocked startup programs icon in the notification area (far right) of the taskbar. Click the message.
Click the Blocked startup programs icon, select Run blocked program and select System Configuration Utility.
If Windows needs your permission to continue, click Continue. A window appears confirming that "You have used the System Configuration Utility to make changes to the way Windows starts." Click OK. The System Configuration Utility appears. Do not click OK here as this will prompt you to restart again. First try to reproduce the issue you were having.
If following these steps resolves the issue, you may want to use the System Configuration Utility to turn on the third-party System Services and Startup Items one or a few at a time (restarting your computer after turning on the item or items) to identify which System Service or Startup Item is causing the conflict. You can turn all of them back on by selecting the Normal Startup option under the General tab of the System Configuration Utility window, but please note that this may cause the issue to recur.

If the issue is still occurring with Selective Startup mode, third-party security software may still be operating regardless of the state of Msconfig. Follow iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.

@ UK Developer, yea my thoughts exactly, that was a tes i had litrally done prior to writing my post ( going to assume the 0mbs means i was recieving under 1 mb) but this has been the constant norm for me since july 2011, from 1mb - 10mb connection. And 10 motnhs later no help still.
The file took about 15 mins to download, (which compare to other files e.g updates for the playstation about 150 megs took me about 45 mins to download) is fairly quick. -
4 Months Later and Apple iPhone 6 Rebate Still Not Received
I have been told numerous time my rebate was sent 11/13/14. I've also been told numerous times it would be resent. The last call in February, I was told if I didn't receive it within 15 business days, it would be credited directly to my account. I still have not received it and today's representative was extremely rude and offered no help except to tell me it was sent 11/13/14 and it would be resent.
I repeatedly get notices that my payment is late because I am paying my current bill but not the money Verizon owes me. Verizon expects full payment from me but can't get me the money that I am owed. My son would not have upgraded and extended his contract without the rebate offer.
Sprint is offering to buyout contracts up to $350. I've been a verizon customer for many years. I am about to become a Sprint customer.
Anyone else having problems getting the rebate or have any solution?Ask to be connected to the customer retention department.
and yes the buy back on your previous phone would be on your bill.
Keep in mind, Sprint requires you turn in your current phone and buy a new one to get the $350 buy out. And the coverage map is a joke. -
Two months late and cancelling?
We have a family share plan. One main line with one additional line. We are currently two months behind but we want to cancel our service anyway. Our "main line" contract ends 10/30 but our "additional line" doesn't end until 04/2012. We can't pay the two months so we can cancel by the 30th because I won't get paid until the 31st. Will Verizon renew our contract for another 2 years if we don't cancel by the 30th even though we don't want it anymore? Will we have to pay an ETF for the "additional line" when we do cancel? Thanks in advance.

No Verizon will not auto renew your contract, but you will be on a month to month basis. You will have to pay a termination fee for any line that is still under contract. That will depend on what phone you had when you started the contract.
For feature, and basic phones it's $175 -5(per month after the first month)
For smartphones it's $350-10(per month after the first month) -
3X points for LG washer and dryer is false advertisement-- 5 months later I am still waiting
I have tried multiple attempts (at least 3 calls) to Best Buy service and have yet to get my issue resolved. I made anLG purchase of a washer and dryer on Octobe 6th 2014. The add said get 3x points so that made my final decision to purchase from Best Buy. 5 months later I have yet to get my 3X points. This is false advertisement. In all three of my calls the representative has apologized and opens up a case. I never hear anything back. I keep being told I got my 20% incremental points but that is not what I am disputing. The last time the represenatative gave me some points for my frustration but said someone would get back to me and that was back in December. Its frustrating as I really like shoping at Best Buy but am becoming very annoyed and really do not want to purcahse here anymore if Best Buy does not follow through with their advertisements. I do not have a copy of the ad (wish I would of kept one) but Best Buy should be able to verify all their ads. I certainly am not making this up. As a matter of fact, the salesperson at the store looked at the ad and confirmed that I should be getting 3X points for the purchase. Since I have tried multiple attempts on the phone with no success then perhaps this message might work better. I would discourage anyone right now in believing any of there reward ads. My time is worth more than trying to chase Best Buy down for points I am owed and will begin to make my purschases elsewhere. BEWARE customers as I am a very dissatisified customer at the moment.

To hear that you have potentially been waiting 5 months for points to post to your My Best Buy account, it is just really disappointing.
It will generally take 20 to 35 days for points to post to a member's account for a Magnolia or Pacific Sales purchase, which will start after any scheduled deliveries are completed. I looked over your account using the email address you registered with the forum and I do see that the base points for your Pacific Sales purchase have already posted. With that being said, it should just be a matter of confirming 3X points was being offered and whether or not your purchase qualified. It appears that your LG washer and dryer may have been eligible for 5X points, but it depends on which models you purchased.
I am very sorry for any inconvenience you have experienced up until now, and I would like to see what I can possibly do to further assist. To gather some additional information and go over your My Best Buy account with you, I will be sending you a private message. hello, i bought a unlock iPhone 5 in 2012 december and i come back to my country and i pay money to use my phone in Turkey and few months later my push button didn't work so i take my phone to apple in los angeles and they give me the new one but they didn't give the box. and 1 week ago i come back to my country again and i take a message from my line comany and they told that i must give money again to use my phone in Turkey until 30rt of january if i didnt pay i cannot use it anymore. but this is so stupid cause apple change my phone in guaranty covorage. what sould i do now
You need to pay your mobile network provider for the calls, SMS and data you need to use your phone. This is an ongoing charge, usually paid monthly.
This is nothing to do with Apple. Apple only provided the handset - not the mobile network you use it on. -
If I have, say 200 photos in an EVENT and I use 50 of them in an ALBUM, and months later I'm happy with the ALBUM and want to trash the extra 150 photos, is there an easy way to know which 150 photos to trash? My idea is to not have hundreds of photos taking up space on the hard drive.

File -> New Smart Album
Event -> contains -> Name of the Event
Photo -> Is Not -> Flagged

Can't speak about avid, since I am not familiar with the software.
You can certainly use FCP X on that machine. It should work better if you use a fast external drive for your media and projects.
There is a free trial, so try it out and see how it goes. You should also follow some good video tutorials, if you are not familiar with the application. FCP X is a lot different from Avid, Premiere or even Final Cut Pro 7. -
I received an Ipad for my birthday in November. A month later it stopped working- it would not power on. I got it at Best Buy. Now I'm told they will exchange it but I'm on a waiting list! Not only is this impacting my ability to work but it is also sooo frustrating- having received such an expenisive gift and not being able to enjoy the benefits!! Any suggestions???

Have an iphone 5c 8g. The home button has stopped working. Did the same a few months ago and recovered 24hrs later. Can anyone explain this problem. Phone still in warranty. Had steam issue recently but this was after last home button episode and no evidence of damage.
If you are playing in hockey arenas a lot or if you are bringing it into bathroom same time as shower it may not seem like much but overtime the steam can acquire and build up in the phones usb dock flex cable swell as the home button flex cable. Bring again into apple store and should be covered under warranty again. could also be a delay in a 8gb 5c software may just be very lag.

Payroll processing for Mid month Joinees and Separated Employees

I have the following queries with regard to separation and Joining.
1.In Legacy , people who are joining after 17 of the current month is getting paid in the next month. Our Payroll Period is from 1 to 31st . Is it possible to stop Payment for people who are joining after 17th of the current month and Pay them in the subsequent month.
2.In legacy usually the Settlement happens in the subsequent month of Separation. Say if a employee resigns on April, he will get his full and Final settlement in the month of May or june. For a separated employee is it possible to make payment in the subsequent months.

Sekar.For point no 1, yes its possibel. and there are multiplt ways to that. like lock the employee in payroll status infotype, or write a rule where in check the DOJ of the employee, and if employee joins after 17th, reject the payroll for that employee
For point no 2, yes you can process later also, but ensure that payroll gets processes in that financial year itself.
