2 extended desktops on macbook pro?

Hello, I am using a MacBook Pro 13" Mid-2012.
What I am trying to do is get 2 seperate extended desktops (one on the left, one on the right).
The displays I am using are: HP 2011X Monitor and Haier 22" LED TV
I have this adapter device: I14-42285_chiclet01_gfv_mn_3429793.jpg
Now, when I connect the two displays to the macbook, it recognizes them as one unit and I am left with a mirrored extended desktop (with compromised visuals).
Alternatively I can attain 3 mirrored displays of the visuals on the macbook pro. None of these two options suits my needs.
Is there something I can do to configure the two monitors, as 2 seperate displays, to be used as 2 seperate extended desktops? or as 1 entire extended desktop? (as opposed to mirrored)

How did you transfer the files to the iMac. If you exported the files out of the MB library using Kind = Current you should get the edited version. Any other option may not.
If you want to keep the two libraries "synced" any photos you want to move to the iMac should be added to an album, connect the two Mac with a LAN, Target Disk Mode, Transferring files between two computers using FireWire, with WiFi. and use the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager to copy that album from the MB library to iMac library. It will also copy the original and edited versions, keywords, titles, etc.

Nein, ist es nicht. Erst mit CC werden Retina-Displays unterstützt, CS3 läuft auf aktuellen Versionen auch nicht mehr.

External Trackpad won't switch desktops on MacBook Pro

I have a 13-inch MacBook Pro and I recently purchased a standalone wireless keyboard and trackpad. The trackpad performs all of the gestures correctly, except for the four-finger swipe to switch between desktops. The built-in trackpad performs the four-finger swipe perfectly fine. I checked the System Preferences for the trackpad, but it looks like there's only one set of preferences for all trackpads.
My wife has a similar setup with her new iMac and she doesn't have the problem. Both trackpads switch desktops with a four-finger swipe. Weird, eh?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think that the issue might be that there is no boot0 in /usr/standalone/i386. I have had similar issues lately when trying to make a bootable usb memory. I think this is necessary for the legacy option in the bless utility. If some one have a solution for this I would like to know as well.

If it's just one small book, eMail it to yourself, as an attachment.
Open Apple mail.
Open a new message.
Address the eMail to yourself.
Drag the book image onto the new message and it will be added as an attachment.
Send the eMail to yourself.
Open the eMail in your MacBook Pro.
Click on the attachment and open it.
This way you don't have to buy Firewire cords, that can be expensive and go to target mode, etc.
* Note: Some providers don't like zipped books in the mail, so attach it in .pdf, .html, .lit form.
** Note: Some providers have size limits on eMail.
             If yours does, go with dragging the image onto a USB Flash Drive.
             Staples, Walmart, etc. sell the size you need for less than $ 5.00

Installer icon present on desktop of macbook pro

Hi,
When i start up my 2010 Macbook Pro an installer disk appears on my desktop asking for my computer admin details. I know it is not genuine so have not put in my details but i was wondering how to remove it. I have tried dragging into the trash but it reappears each time i restart the computer.

You may have installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those.
After removing the malware, remember to reset your home page in all the web browsers affected, if it was changed.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked.

I have the docs to go on my ipad but i need to put it on my desktop on mackbook pro. i have looked in itunes on the macbook but thats no good so i looked at purchases on the app store still on the macbook but i cant find any of my purchases, all there is are purchases from my husbands account, i have signed out and in but it makes no difference. i use my ipad all the time but not the macbook very often but i need to make a lot of changes to a document in docstogo so it would be easier to do it on the macbook. does anybody know where i download the docstogo app for desktop please.

i cannot find the desktop app for the macbook pro anywhere. i have got the docstogo premium - office suite i went to the developers website but they only had the app for windows and not apple. any other ides greatfuly received lol. thank you muchly. x

Mount G4 Desktop on MacBook Pro

I have an older G4 desktop which I just realized has some files on it that I need. I no longer have a monitor for the G4. Is there a way to mount the G4 hard drive on my MacBook Pro screen?

Spinning beach ball on desktop of macbook pro of 2013 is not stopping

After downloading a .pdf file from the internet on the desktop, when I wanted to see the name of file, I am encountered with a spinning beach ball which is not stopping. It occured once more in this week. And immediate after 3 months of purchase of the MacBook Pro it appeared for the first time, which compelled me to reinstall OS X 10.9.1 and then, be updated.
Why?
I shall appreciate if anyone can help me out of this recurring problem of Spinning Beach Ball.

Recycle bin, and new folders on desktop, of Macbook Pro

I bought my Macbook Pro (Mountain Lion) on Sept 2012. I am facing two issues: 1. The recycle bin is getting filled automatically with empty folders named 'recovered files'. 2. New folders are being generated on the desktop. These folders contain the movie files that I had inserted in my ppt and keynote presentation.
Please let me know how to address these issues.

Thank you. I can always empty the trash bin. What I would like to know is why this automatic filling of the trash bin occurs and how to prevent it from happening in future.
About the second issue, those are movie files already saved on the computer (transfered to the MBP with a USB). It seems each time when I use the presentation in Keynote or Powerpoint, these movie files in the presentaion are somehow extracted into those automatically-generated folders on the desktop. Though both these issues maybe harmless, they look wiered to me.

I have my iTunes on my apple mac and wnat to sync it so i have it all on my laptop (a macbook pro) when i travel so i can sync my iPhone iwh tlaptop as well as desk top.

Well...basically you need to copy the iTunes Music folder with the original library and transfer it to the other computer. You could do this via a firewire cable hooked to the two computers (and probably the fastest way), or you could use an external drive or thumbdrive, depending on the size of your library. The most inefficient way would be to backup your library to disc and then import the files to the second computer.
