How do I manage to maintain 2 different itunes libraries on the one computer?

There's a couple of different ways. The following document is worth checking through:

I have a new iPod Touch and one apple ID. I want to use My laptop aswell as my desktop computer for the one ipod, using the same apple ID. I have music on both computers and want to merge the two without losing any music or apps. How do I do this?
My iPod has music and apps from my apple ID that I downloaded to my iPod via iCloud and some apps that I got free from the store, straight onto my iPod, but my laptop has some music on it aswell, separate from my other library. I want to put the music from my laptop into my iTunes library which I want to use on both computers. Is it possible to do this?
    Thanks.

    - You can only sync an iPod to one iTunes library/computer. You can however, manually manage music and videos among different libraries.
Go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.
    - If y wnat to switch syncing libraries/computer see:
go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing>Sync your device manually and follow the instructions.

If all the synced media like music is in the iTunes library of the second computer it is very easy.

I have a problem. When I start to sync music to my iPod touch, you have to enter the password of your account. I downloaded the game from the general account, and do not always know the password. He writes that if I do not login, then the game will be erased. Previously, this was not. When starting to sync music, it did not touch my programs, and now because of this music can not be transferred to iPods. PANIC AT ME! HELP

If they are Tunes purchased music you have to sing into the account that purchased them.
Is this the iTunes library/computer you sync with? You can rally only "sync" with one iTunes library/computer.However, yo can manually manage music and videos among different libraries/computer. See the manual method of:

  • I have an ipod, ipad and macbook pro.  When I add anything to my calendar it always comes up twice, and always reminds me twice on all of my appliances.  Its probably really simple but how do I rectify this?

Hi there.  Can anyone help?  I have an iphone, ipad and macbook pro.  Whenever I add anything to my calender it always puts itself in twice and always reminds me of everything twice on each of my appliances.  I'm sure it just a matter of ticking or unticking boxes but I can't seem to get the right ones.

  • Open/Place Dialog not behaving like other apps - win 7 64bit

I just recently switched from mac to windows at work. It was also a jump from orginal CS(mac) to CS5(win). One thing I am having a problem with is that I can't create shortcuts/favorites on the left in those open/place/save dialog windows. All I get is a static frame with Recent Places, Desktop, Libraries, Computer and Network. But no Favorites. I can't even expand them in to trees. I can't right click on the icons or in that pane. The only thing I can do is left click and it opens up the view they represent. In other programs, such as Firefox, OpenOffice or Notepad, you have a Favorites selection and you can drag stuff over to it at any time.
Is there any way to get that behavior in the Windows version of CS5?
I work on a weekly newspaper and do lots of placing from many different locations through the week. I used to set up the new shortcuts at the beginning of the week on the Mac but haven't figured out how to do that in CS5 on Windows. By having to browse back and forth to those different folders I am losing about an hour or more of productivity over the course of a week. It really hurts as we approach our deadline.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I tried to use Recent Places but it changes so frequently and I also use a lot of folders that have the same name but they are under different weeks directories so it's not as reliable. I suppose I can clear off the desktop and put all my shortcuts there. It's an extra step but seems like it will work bettter than how I've had to do it so far. Thanks to everyone. If anyone has a better solution, I would be pleased to give it a try.
Since Desktop is always a choice, consider creating a single Desktop folder and placing shortcuts to the directories and subdirectories in it. The more Desktop items, the greater impact on resources and performance, but a single folder that contains other items counts as one item.
If your files are kept on a network drive, Desktop can contain a shortcut to a shortcut folder on the common drive and all users can create shortcuts to it.

  • Adding favourite locations to InDesign ..?

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help with a CS5.5 query. I use Windows 7.
I open pretty much 9/10 documents from the same folder each day and wondered if/how I can set up a 'favourite' network folder/drive within InDesign, so that when I go to open a document through InDesign the window that comes up will already have this location stored down the left - exactly as it does when browsing files via Windows. Presently I have Recent Places; Desktop; Libraries; Computer; Network. I know I could browse and open through my desktop, but I'd prefer to just be able to navigate to them directly through InDesign, too. Can it be done?
    Appreciate any help.

Steve beat me to mentioning the Mac Default Folder X utility. A quick Google search didn't show anything similar for Windows, but perhaps a better-formed search query would.
However, you might consider using InDesign's built-in features, such as:
    * Set Preferences > File Handling > Saving InDesign Files > Number of Recent Items to Display, which has a limit of 30 file names
    * Collect files in InDesign books. Open > Recent displays both file names and book names, so opening a book exposes a collection of names that can be in the same or different directories or on different drives and paths.

  • Can't find photos after upgrading to Windows 7

Bridge was working fine in Vista but after upgrading to Windows 7, I cannot find any of my photo files with bridge.  Photoshop CS4 find them OK and so does Lightroom but for some reason Bridge does not list them under Folders.  If I click on Libraries it says "no files".  It does not list Pictures or My Pictures.  I am totally stumped.

    If I am in Photoshop
    and go File>Open I get a list:
    Recent Places
    Desktop
    Libraries
    Computer
    Network
I click on Libraries and get a list:
    Documents
    Pictures
    Music
    Videos
I click on Pictures and that is where all my picture files are stored  (Used to be My Pictures in XP)
This also works in Lightroom if I Click on Import/Choose Files
Howeve,r from within Bridge, if I click on Libraries it says "No items to Display"
Also, within Bridge, If I click on the Files menu, the work Open is grayed out.

  • IPod Touch 5g problems switching between Mavericks and Mountain Lion.

My iPod Touch 5G is set up to sync (manually) with my Mountain Lion iMac. If I connect the iPod to my MacBook Air running Mavericks, it works fine. However, if I then connect the iPod to my iMac, iTunes re-syncs all 9,000 songs - taking hours! This can't be right. Is there any way to fix this? I've tried restoring it and copying all my music back to the iPod, but it  still happens. I need to connect it to both Macs, without this annoying issue. HELP!

You can only sync music and videos among different iTunes libraries/computer using the manual method of syncing. Otherwise when y switch libraries/computer, the media on the iPod will be replaced with the media in the iTunes library of the second computer.
The manual method of syncing is included here:

How do I download my photos from my camera roll onto my PC using iTunes?

    Hi,
I don't know about iTunes, but I find that you can click and drag the photos into Libraries>Computer>Local Disk (C:)>Users>*Your Username*>Pictures.
    Hope this helps!
