2-up Fullscreen View

Am I right in thinking there is no way to make Acrobat open fullscreen views 2-up?
I've got a widescreen monitor and the single page fullscreen view does not use the available space fully and it would be good to see a 'book layout' version in fullscreen mode.

You can change it in your preferences -
Bring up preferences - Ctrl+K
Click on Full Screen under Categories
Under "Full Screen Setup", uncheck "Fill screen with one page at a time", click OK
Next, go to Properties and set Initial View to "Two-up (Facing)" and check Open in Full Screen mode.

It appears that Adobe originally designed Full Screen Preview to be a special viewing mode of the underlying mode. So if you invoke Full Screen Preview from Grid Mode, Cycle Info Display doesn't work and the arrow keys work with selections just as they do in regular Grid Mode, not as in Loupe Mode. But according to employee Becky Sowada, Adobe is reconsidering this design; see the 9/17 thread in this topic:

Two-page fullscreen view in Adobe Reader 11?

I really cannot achieve it – toggles to one-page view all the time. Yes, I have 'Fill screen with one page at a time.' unchecked (Edit -> Preferences -> Full Screen).

Fullscreen view in iphoto 9.2.3

I am unable to view fullscreen view in iphoto 9.2.3 except in edit. When I double click on picture - nothing happens. How can I restore full screen view?

Migration assistance does not handle the iPhoto library well sometimes - the best way is to drag the bad iphoto library from the pictures folder on the new system to the desktop, connect the two systems together (network, firewire target mode, etc) and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity from the old system to the pictures folder of the new system and launch iPhoto on the new system - it will open and convert the iPhoto library as necessary and you will be fine - once you test the iPhoto library you can delete the one on the desktop

How do I permanently turn off fullscreen view in safari?

How do I permanently turn off fullscreen view in Safari? I never want my menubar to autohide and it has been doing so since the last update. Once I click on the little blue arrows at the top right of the screen, it is temporarily fixed but then resets to fullscreen when I re-open Safari.

Thaty is quite odd behavior as I have never seen that happen
in any Safari version since full screen was added to OSX.
It almost sounds as if the preference file for Safari may be
corrupted or some other setting file. However, before messing
with that, export your bookmarks (File->Export Bookmarks...)
so you can retrieve them and under the Safari menu, select reset
Safari. If this doesn't resolve things, and since you saved your
bookmarks, in Finder hold down Option key and on the Go menu
select library. In the Preferences folder, find:
com.apple.Safari.plist
and move it to Desktop or trash it. Next time Safari opens it
will recreate the file and see if this fixes the issue.

[Request] Add to Settings - prevent energy saving (monitor/display) in fullscreen view

it would be nice to have a setting for "prevent energy saving (turn off the display) in fullscreen view" so we don't have to move the mouse every few minutes or to change the energy saving settings if we watch a longer flash video.

I don't use screensavers, because they make no sense anymore.
It is set to "None" and "On resume, display logon screen" is disabled.
I think you mean "Password protection on wakeup" (Win7).
It is set to "Require a password". I will set it to "Don't require a password" and test it later again.

To make a screen full screen, you click on the arrows in the upper right corner. To minimize, move your cursor all the way to the upper right corner of your desktop--give it a second--a symbol will appear that lets you "reverse" the action and minimize the window. Hope I'm explaining this correctly.

Problems with Fullscreen viewing

I was viewing a trailer for a movie and at first I watched it at the size it opened as. I thought the trailer was good so I wanted fullscreen of it. So I click View>FullScreen. It opens up with the Green "This preview has been approved for all audiences," then about a second later the screen goes black as it starts to play. I can hear the audio but no video shows. Any ideas?

Alright I opened it up and did just as you said and it still has a black screen with just audio when viewing full screen. Maybe I should just try to reinstall it.
EDIT: It worked after playing the video for a couple seconds and then switching to full screen in "safemode" but the audio and video are off and the video is really choppy.
Edit2: Reenabled DirectX and disable the dual monitor option and it seems to work pretty well now video is smooth again and audio is in sync. When I close it and reopen it though it does the black screen again. It seems to be the Direct3D Video Acceleration.

There is a 'settings' icon when the file is opened from the 'acrobat.com' list and 'Recent files' list, but the only options are 'rename' and 'delete'. I checked all the icons and dropdowns on all the pages, but no file/properties. I could have missed it.
I have a basic subscription. Is there a subscription level where this fullscreen option becomes available?

I believe I asked the wrong question earlier. The PDF actually opens in a 'page width' mode if I open the file from the acrobat.com list. However, if I open from the 'Sent files' list followed by 'open link', the screen format is a box on the left for the document which fills the width of that box, and another box to the right of the document which contains the following info vertically: Sent by, Date sent, Type, Pages, Size, Download (button), and Report abuse.
The latter format is the one seen by the emailed recipients of the 'Anonymous link' when the file is 'sent'. Is it possible to arrange for the recipient to see the document without the box on the right [as in the 'sent file' format]? This box is not a function of the Acrobat program but of the acrobat.com website which displays the same document from the 'acrobat.com' list without the offending info box.

How can I fix problem of Screen freezing in Fullscreen view display.

Click Vie , Full Screen. Have multiple tabs open. Screen freezes. Prompting does not drop the tabs back down to switch pages etc. Happens randomly, several times a day, since upgrade to Firefix 9. Prior to that I never had an issue with the Full screen feature and used it ALL the time. Please help.I do not want to lose this feature!!!

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Try to disable hardware acceleration.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

The websites are being stretched sideways to twice their normal width so I can see only the left half of a site unless I go into "Fullscreen" mode; ideas?

Whenever I use Firefox the page opens so that I can see only the left half of whatever site; i.e. half of the useful page info (the rest is cut off) displays on the right half of my screen while the left half of my screen shows just background of the site. Using the maximise/restore button does nothing. If I swap to the fullscreen view I can see everything fine but obviously I lose my tool bars. I installed the latest version of Firefox with no joy. I've looked for a page setup function to no avail. I thought that time would fix this as it is something that has happened before but was temporary. Other browsers work fine. I thought about uninstalling then re-installing but I'm not keen to lose my bookmarks etc. unless I have to. Thanks for your help in advance; I hope this ramble makes some sense.

How to Remove maximize/minimize/close top-bar in full-screen view [MAC]?

Hi.
My Q. is pretty much as the title implies.
It's a small thing, and maybe kind of trivial,
but I'd like to know how to get rid of the maximize/minimize/close top-bar in full-screen view in Adobe Reader on the Mac.
I am definitely in fullscreen view [I hit command+L], just so you know,
but I still have that top grey bar showing with the maximize/minimize/close buttons [the red, yellow, and green].
As I said, kind of a trivial concern, but I'd like to know how to hide that in full-screen mode.
I tried searching around a few places for an answer, but there is nothing too obvious.
I can't find anything in the full-screen preferences of reader either. Maybe I'm missing something...

Version 11.0 , so I guess that is the most recent?
I think this is an application-specific problem too, because I don't encounter this in full-screen mode with other applications.
