20" ACD touch buttons stop working after sleep mode

I have a new 20"ACD and have had nothing but problems with it. The new thing it is doing is if I leave the computer and it goes into sleep mode, when I awaken the computer, the side touch buttons no longer work. Also, when I go into preferences-displays, there is no longer an option menu which was just there a week ago....where did it go? Please help!

  • After update to 10.8.5 HDMI sound stops working after sleep mode

Has anybody a solution or the same problem?

This is not just a Mac Mini problem.  I've found comments from people with all kinds of Mac, with any kind of external sound device, who all have this same issue.
The common factor is Mountain Lion.
Apparently there is a new build (12F42) which is supposed to fix this.
    http://www.gadgetguide4u.com/new-os-x-1085-build-number-12f42.html
Apple released it to their employees on the 25th Sept.
Yet they don't even seem to have told their support people about it.  My local apple store replaced my Mac Mini just on Sunday, because they didn't know why it was behaving like that.  Needless to say, the new one has the same problem.
Here's hoping that build is available soon ...

  • HT201371 Touch ID stopped working after updating to IOS 7.1.

    Good morning to all,
My touch ID stopped working after updating to IOS 7.1.
It was working perfectly until the update and then it stopped recognizing my prints
I've reset the phone and deleted my fingerprints and now I can't even add a fingerprint again.
I am sure this is not a hardware problem since the phone was working perfectly before the update and it didn't fall nor anything similar.
Also the sensor is clean as well as my fingers.

Same problem... I think we all should let Apple know of this issue. http://www.apple.com/feedback/ tell them the probelm. So when they get too many complains they will surely fix it ASAP with a software update.

  • My Ipod touch email stopped working after installing Update

my Ipod touch email stopped working after installing the latest firmware update from Apple what should I do?

    Hi, jewlssch.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If the Mail application will not launch, I would recommend processing any available updates on your Mac Pro and test launching Mail.  If the issue persists, process a reinstall of Mavericks.
    Reinstall OS X

Make sure to backup all of your data prior to reinstalling OS X 10.9.

  • IPhone 5S home button stopped working after iOS 8.3 update

My home button stopped working after I updated it to the iOS 8.3. My finger print can still unlock the phone but the home button won't work.

What you are describing sounds more like a hardware issue than a software issue.  Make an appointment at the genius bar of your local apple retail store and have the device evaluated.

  • X121e touch pad buttons stop working after a while

    Hello everyone,
    I have a lenovo thinkpad x121e.
The buttons above the touchpad (for right and left clicking) and also the trackpoint stop working after a while (about 45 min). Although the touchpad itself works without problems.
If I reboot the operating system (Windows 7, 64-bit version) everything works fine for a while and then the buttons and trackpoint won't respond again.
It is always the same routine. Rebooting windows, everything alright, stop working, ...
I am using the newest driver version and de- & reinstalling of UltraNav haven't solved the problem.
Has anyone an idea what causes my problems with the touch pad buttons and how to solve it? (I guess it's not a hardware problem.)
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi again, li-lup
I would recommend trying to use the standard Synaptics driver found here. Synaptics is the company that develops the UltraNav software, so there should be no loss of compatibility/features. I have witnessed several cases where this driver has helped others with mouse issues, so it may help yours as well.
The first thing you will need to do is to remove the UltraNav driver from the system. To do this, open the Start menu and type Device Manager into the Search box, and then press Enter. Once here, double click on Mouse and other pointing devices, and then right-click on the UltraNav device. Naviage to the Driver tab and select Uninstall... from the bottom of the window. Follow the prompts to uninstall and then restart when prompted by Windows. Windows should install a generic driver that will allow you to use the TouchPad when downloading the Synaptics driver.
    Hope it helps,
    Adam

  • USB hub and internet sharing stop working after sleep

    Hi,
I have a relatively new Bluestork USB hub I purchased to connect multiple USB devices I have at the same time. It used to work correctly under Leopard, but now it stops working each time the computer wakes up from sleep. I have to restart the computer for it to start working again. Both link and power LEDs stay on, even when the hub is not recognized.
My second problem is related to internet sharing. It stops working after each sleep/wakeup cycle and the only way to make it work again is to restart the computer. It used to work correctly before Snow Leopard as well.
I have all the Mac updates installed.

    Thanks Barry.
The hub is on its way to the manufacturer for after sales service...
But the issue with AirPort remains the same, even after resetting SMC.
    Some clarification:
    * It happens just after computer wakes up from sleep. Restarting solves the problem and the issue doesn't arise until computer goes standby again.
    * The whole WiFi card becomes unresponsive. It is not only the Turn Off button, but the whole functionality is stopped. The card can not be activated/deactivated and it doesn't connect to any network. If it is used for internet sharing, clients are unable to connect.

  • Yoga 13 touch screen stopped working after update KB3000850, please help!

Hi, my Yoga 13 touch screen has been working fine until yesterday. The laptop came with Windows 8, and last year I upgraded to Windows 8.1 without issue. Yesterday, I installed optional update KB3000850 from Windows Update, and immediately the touch screen stopped working. I have tried the following methods, all without success:
    * Uninstall KB3000850 from Windows Update
    * Use Windows Restore to restore to the point before yesterday
    * Re-install Intel Chipset Driver from Lenovo official driver page
    * In Device Manager, uncheck all the "allow system to turn off to save power" options for the USB input devices under Human Interface Devices then restart
    * Two-button shutdown and restart
    * Install Lenovo Driver Manager and let it check for new drivers
    * Download Cando multi touch panel driver (Note: I could not install the driver because all I got was a .cab file which does not allow me to install)
As of now my touch screen is still not working. Computer Information page from Settings shows that there is no touch or pen device for my screen.
Can anybody help me with this? Thanks!

Very true, this has been a known problem since the first day Lenovo released the Yoga 13.
I need to send Lenovo a bill for my time spent rebooting.  So far i am on my 8th reboot.  In the past, around 5 reboots after winddows update would work.  This time... who knows.
Of course it always happens when you have a deadline.
Please post back if you have found a better soultion than system restore.
Thanks for posting this issue.  More users need to bring this to Lenovo's attention.

  • Touch ID stops working after a few hours of capturing a fingerprint

After capturing fingerprints Touch ID works for a while, a couple of hours, then stops woking and does not recognize fingerprints. I've taken the iPhone 6 Plus to the Genius Bar twice where they recapture the fingerprints, Touch ID works while in the store, then stops working after I leave.  One Genius had me place the iPhone in Airplane mode, delete the fingerprints, turn-off the iPhone and then restart iPhone, turn-off Airplane mode and recapture the fingerprints. Touch ID worked for a couple of hours. Suggestions?

    Kappy:
Unfortunately, I wiped down the home button and my thumb, recaptured my fingerprint and I have the same result. The Touch ID stops working shortly thereafter.

  • Volume and Lock buttons stopped working after new iOS 4.3.3 update (ipod 4th gen)

After I updated my ipod with the iOS 4.3, the volume and lock buttons stopped working.
This has happened before and it'sprobably one of the most annoying problems ever.
The lock button tends to stop working but then works again only when it wants to, but the volume buttons dont work at all.
When the locked button worked again I turned it off and turned it on again, but it didnt fix the problem.
I've pretty much tried everything that I've read and nothing seems to work.
So now, I don't know what to do.
Should I take it to a random apple store or to where I bought it from?
It seems that it's happening to almost everyone, so at least I'm not the only one and maybe someone can help me out

If you have restored in iTunes on a computer and the problem remains then it's a hardware fault and it needs to be repaired. When you update the iOS version on an iOS device it checks the hardware components, this is when it'll detect un-diagnosed hardware faults and the components will stop working... even if they were working previously

  • Home button stopped working after 1 week

I've had my new iPad mini 2 for a grand total of 1 week and the home button stopped working. Fortunately Best Buy exchanged it for me. Is this a common issue?

    No.

  • Volume buttons stop working after wake from sleep

I have a Pavilion dm4-1162us. The volume buttons do not work after the notebook wakes from sleep. It works initially from a normal startup. A restart will also resolve the issue. The quicklaunch buttons are the default buttons, that is it is set so the "fn" button needs to be used to use the function "f1, f2, f3, etc." keys.

Welcome to Windows. Some devices do not like to be put to sleep in Windows.
There could be driver updates or hot fixes from MS to fix these.
A very proven method (though not for battery life) is to instruct the devices not to go to sleep when the system goes to sleep. You can do this via the device manager in the control panel.
Its not a gracious solution but it will do what you want it to do.

  • Touch buttons stopped working

Hi, I have a HP dv7-3085dx notebook, and the touch buttons above the keyboard stopped working.
It just happened, the entire touch surface doesn't work. And even stranger, the sound and wireless buttons on the sides doesn't even have the led on. They are completely off, not allowing me to turn on the wireless card. Is there any other way to turn it on?
    Thanks!

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • ADF: Page navigation and buttons stop working after a while

    Hi all,
We have a web app built with ADF Faces/JDev 10.1.3 that runs in OC4J 10.1.2.0.2. Sometimes we encounter this problem in our JSF pages: after a while (can't relate to some particular action), all navigation in a page (links, tabs, buttons, etc) just stops working, i.e. you can click them, the server receives some request (we see this in the logs), but the desired action never happens. It's just like the page keeps refreshing all the time. There is no navigation out of the page at this point, it's completely stuck.
If, at the same time, we connect to the app from a different browser, it will work fine, but the first browser will remain in the faulty state.
I turned the enableTokenValidation in the pages on and off, but it seems to make no difference. Can anyone provide an idea about what might be going on?
    Thanks,
    Serban

    Hello,
Any answer on this issue? It seems that ADF is pretty unstable if user clicks repetedly on the same submit button (like a double-click) or on different tabs on the old page, until the next page loads. We are using .jspx pages and combined with SSL access this behaviour is behaving even worser.
Basically we encounter the following problems:
    1) It seems that users with not so good network access (and accessing ADF app on a SSL OC4J) still have access to the origin page until the target page loads on a submit. If they click a different button or tab on the origin page in this interval (waiting for their previous action to complete), they usually get a JavaScript error that will block the interface until they do a manual refresh (F5)...
This can be reproduced even on client machines with good network access if you click very fast on the same button twice or on two different submit buttons.
    2) It seems that sometimes the browser keeps showing the loading bar in the status bar even if the new .jspx page is already loaded. Any advice on how to solve this, as the users might be tempted to push application buttons or browser navigation thinking that the page is blocked?
All the above happen on IE 6, which is the preffered browser.
Thanks! I can give you more details if needed.
