24" LCD AND 19" CRT. Any problem?
Hi,
My current set up is two dual 19" CRTs and the ATI 9800 256MB card.
I want to move up to a widescreen LCD, but am aware of a couple limitations with a 24" LCD.
These being:
1. You have more screen real estate with two 19" than with one 24".
2. CRT is supposedly a better image.
So, my thinking is to move up to a 24"LCD and keep one of my 19" CRTs active as a 2nd/palette monitor. that way I get more screen real estate, and a nice CRT handy if needed.
Can anyone tell me if I'd get eye-strain or headache or something from switching my eyes back and forth from a CRT to LCD?
Any reason I wouldn't want a dual monitor set up where one is LCD and one is CRT?

Accidental damage is not covered under the warranty - it is a limited manufacturer's warranty only, not insurance.
If you live near an Apple Store, call the store and ask or make an appointment there to confirm if only the glass panel needs to be replaced, if the store does that, and how much.

Back up all data.
In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari, and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again. -
I made a ringtone and it did go into my tones and it won't upload to my phone. I have done this several times and never had any problems til now. Can anyone help me on this?
Try assigning Queen as the Album Artist on the compilations in iTunes on your computer.

My iPhone 4 although fully charges has just switched itself off and won't turn back on again. I've tried taking the sim card out but nothing happens. I'm just coming to the end of a 2 year contract and never had any problems with it before. Help please.

I upgraded to Lion and then all video clips on for instance Youtube freeze every tenth second to buffer more data. I have a MacBook Pro and never had any problems when using Snow Leopard. Has Lion problems with this?
Ulf, SwedenUse the trackpad to scroll, thats what it was designed for. The scroll bars automatically disappear when not being used and will appear if you scroll up or down using the trackpad.
This is a user-to-user forum and most people will post on here if they have problems. You very rarely get people posting to say there update went smooth. The fact is the vast majority of Mountain Lion users will not be experiencing any major problems with the OS, or maybe with apps which are not compatible, but thats hardly Apple's fault if developers don't update their apps. -
someone help me fix my phone i have had ios7 since it came out and it has randomly come up with 'Activation Required' never had any problems with the iphone so how do i fix this ?
Were you, by chance, running a beta version of iOS 7 on your phone?

I have had my paid apps for around a year now and recently i did a sync on my laptop and it said i was not authorised to syn certain apps such as "angry birds , Doodle Jump , Fifa 11 Ect. " which i paid for and never had this problem before , can anyone help me ?

Ive done the upgrade and figure I should move ahead and do the 8.02 upgrade. Except, Ive never had any of te problems that people are talking about.

If your wi-fi network, try resetting the wireless router and modem. Disconnect the wireless router from the power source followed by disconnecting the modem from the power source. Wait a few minutes followed by re-connecting the modem to the power source and allow the modem to completely reset before re-connecting the wireless router to the power source and allow it to reset with the modem before trying again. -

I have purchased CS3 and I have a G5 Tower and a MBP dual 2 core (bought it 2 months ago)
Let me tell you that I am very unpleased with CS3 on both machines.
On the G5 it is 10 times slower than CS1 for some reason it takes a lot of processing power and RAM wich the G5 does poorly.
On the MBP it processes fine but I only have 1 Gig of RAM and I feel that I don't have enough. Plus it doesn't help that a laptop HD is slower at opening files so it really makes it look like it runs slow...I should of bought the 24in imac instead due to the fact that it doesn't cost 900$ to buy a extra 2 Gigs of RAM

If your phone is locked to a particular carrier, you must contact them to request they unlock it. Once they've taken care of that and you've followed the instructions to complete the unlock process, you will be able to use the phone elsewhere.

i have problem with my wifi in 4 S, i cant connect to any wifi itried resetting network setting and reset all setting but the result was the same, its only keeps searching for wifi and cant find any, itried to use OTHER but also didnt work.please help me???
If Join was on then your home wi-fi must be set to Non-Broadcast. If you did not set this up (maybe your provider did) then you will need to find the Network Name they used, and any password they used. The SSID is Security Set ID and to see more try http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SSID . Basically it is the name used to identify your router/network. A lot of times the installer will leave it set as LinkSys, or Broadcom or whatever the manufacturer set it as for default. Your best bet is to get whoever installed it to walk you through how they set it up, giving you id's and passwords so you can get in. HOWEVER, if you are not comfortable with this (if you set security wrong, etc.) you would be well ahead of the game to hire a local computer tech (networking) to get this working for you. You can also contact the vendor of your router and get help (if it is still in warranty), or at least get copies of the manuals as pdf files. Sorry I can't give you more help, I hope this gives you an idea where to go from here to find more.
