.271 for IE won't install

Vista x64 IE8
Clicked Download then Run and Run. Page said "Preparing Installation, Please Wait" with the striped bar. Message and bar vanished, then nothing. Tried again and a window came up and said "Only a single instance of this application can run." Clicked okay and nothing again. I downloaded the package and tried to run it but I got the "Only a single etc" message. I tried to delete the package that's in my Temp folder but it won't allow me to even if I check "Run as Administrator."
I should add that I currently have version .268 and I tried again with my anti-virus off.

Most likely your .268 version will automatically update within the next 24 hours.
If you don't want to wait, download the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player- windows.html#main-pars_header

  • PCSuite for 6600 won't install on Thinkpad R52

Just downloaded pc suite for my 6600.
Install file says it's version 7.1.100.1248
When I run the install it asks me where if i agree with the terms, then asks what directory to install to, then the start menu entry, then if i want the sdk, then if i want the audio/video converters.
And that's it! The PC Suite for Nokia 6600 sits on the task bar, but won't maximise. The task manager shows two PCSuite_en.exe's and a Setup.exe. None are using any CPU.
I've left it for half an hour, and still nothing happens.
I'm using a Thinkpad R52, 1.5G ram, XP pro SP2. I have uninstalled my antivirus and terminated everything from the process list it will let me terminate.
My user is an admin. I've rebooted, tried several times, still no good.
Help! I need to back up my phone, it's stopped doing any audio indication of incoming messages, and I need to backup so I can wipe the whole thing.Message Edited by tankslappa on 26-Dec-2005

Tried on another XP SP2 pc, that wouldn't install either.
Tried again on the thinkpad, and for once terminated the setup.exe first, normally I terminate the pcsuite exe... That seemed to free it up and it completed installing.
After the reboot it said it had completed installing, and that i should connect to my mobile using the systray mrouter thingy... It showed 3 different bluetooth "com" ports. com5,6 and 500. I tried them all. Individually and one at a time. Each time it says it can't find anything.
I can pair with the 6600 no problem using the built in XP bluetooth software, so what gives?
Also the pcsuite it installed says pcsuite for 6600 versio 1.1.0! What happened to version 6?! I downloaded this install from the link provided in this forum at the top in the "sticky" message!
Should I give up and try and find some other software and just write off the nokia offering as cr*p?

CS3 for iMac won't get past the "Application" disc. Installer calls for "Disc 1 to continue" but there is no such disc. Only "Application" and "Content" and neither of them will continue install

You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

  • Firefox for Android won't install on HTC Explorer

My HTC Explorer seems to have all the requirements for Firefox to be installed.
The screen resolution is 320 x 480 - more than the minimum spec.
The Android version is 2.3.5. - higher than the version quoted.
    HTC Sense version 3.5
But when I try to install from Play Store, I get the message
"Your device isn't compatible with this version".
Why not? Is there a version that IS compatible? And if so, where can I find it,
and what, precisely, is it called?

hello CambridgeChris, even if it's not available through the google play store, you can download all versions of firefox for android dirctly from mozilla's FTP server. details are available at: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android
however, since you device is rather low-spec and firefox on android is a full-fledged browser with its own rendering engine, it will require quite a lot of system resources - so you might not get the best experience out of it at your current setup...

  • Calendar Sync for Palm won't install Conduit

Hi, I'm trying to install Calendar Sync for Palm 10.1 on Windows 2K. Installation proceeds with no errors, but the conduit does not appear in the Hotsynch conduit list. It does remove the default conduits for Calendar, Date Book and To-Do. I've tried uninstalling Palm Desktop and Calendar synch, and reinstalling them, no luck. HotSynch works fine with the conduits that are left, and works with the default conduits if I don't install the Oracle Calendar Synch. I can't find any mention of this problems on the forum, does anyone have an idea of what could cause it?
    Thanks.

There's a bug on the conduits as to were to find needed DLLs. It depends on setting itself in the path via environment variables.
The thing is that the conduits are not compatible with other Oracle client installations, which also add themselves to the path. An example is Oracle's Instant Client.
Check your system's path to see if you have any other Oracle client directories before CalSync's directory.
I had a TAR created for this and supposedly they will be 'patching' it for next version...

  • Install disk for iMac won't install

I have a Mid-2011 iMac which I'm prepping for resale.  It had been upgraded to Lion.  But, I believe, no further.  I cleared the drive and wanted to reinstall the OS and apps.  Installing from the DVD got me the grey screen problem.  So, I booted into Snow Leopard (the OS it shipped with) from an external drive.  Then I tried to install the OS from the DVD which came with the machine.  I got the message:
mac os x snow leopard cannot be installed on this computer
How is that possible?  It was the install disk for this computer.  What can I do?
I tried just installing Lion.  That went fine.  But, I couldn't install the apps which came with the machine.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

The licensing issues got real murky (aka complicated) after they went to digital download only as anything obtained at the app store is not transferable and tied to the original Apple ID. So, the system throws up all sorts of ..... If Pages et al was bundled, then no, I don't think it would install as that is filed under the "non-transferable" category I believe. If you had a retail iWork/iLife disk, you should be able to install them (but must include the disks when selling). You may have the wrong disks as well: mine came with 10.6.4 (2010) and so I can't use the retail version as that is 10.6.3. I'll post a screenshot at the end of build/OS numbers.
I did a fair amount of testing on a 2010 iMac (purchased refurb in 2012) with Lion installed and the machine specific SL disks with it. I initially wiped the drive and reinstalled Snow Leopard. I updated the firmware at some point to allow recovery and, from what I've read, that is what is preventing you from being able to reinstall with the SL disk. I know I have the right disks because they worked initially, but I can no longer use them to boot from. So, I rely on bootable clones (which I prefer anyway).

  • PSE 8 for Mac won't Install; running Snow Leopard 10.6.2

    Hi,
When PSE 8 was released for the Mac, I bought a copy from Amazon.  I am running Snow Leopard 10.6.2 on two 24" iMacs and one MBP 15.3.  The Adobe installer would hang about three quarters through the installation.  I'm running PSE 6 for Mac without a problem.  I returned the software to Amazon without a problem.
A month or two later I downloaded a trial version from Adobe's web site thinking perhaps the DVD I had gotten from Amazon was possibly defective.  Nope.  Same problem trying the trial version.  It just hung about three quarters through the install on all three machines.
I'm running Photoshop Extended CS 3 with Snow Leopard and have no problems.
    What gives?
    Thanks,
    Linnie K

    Hi,
I wouldn't know.  The first copy I bought from Amazon and returned.  The second one was downloaded from your web site as a trial and I removed all the bits and pieces after killing an hour with the installer.  I didn't think I could download the trial version a second time.
I'm using a Mac with Snow Leopard 10.6.2.  My Photoshop Extended CSS3 and PSE 6 work just fine.  I'm afraid that if I deleted all you had suggested, I would have trouble reinstalling the two apps I just mentioned.  From what I've read on various forums,, Mac users (not all) are still having difficulty installing PSE 8.
BTW, this is the only app I've had any problem installing on my system.  I deliberately waited for v. 10.6.2 to install the newer OS as there were earlier incompatibilities.
    Thanks,
    Linnie

  • ADOBE reader for ipad won't install

I had adobe reader on my ipad for at least a year. Have a subscription to the pdf to word doc conversion. Adobe pushed an update on Oct 9. I tried to install it a lot of times, but it always hanged. So today I have figured I will just delete the app and install it again. Well, that hasn't solved it either. The install also hangs. Is this a bug? I have an ipad 4, rocking iOS 8.1.

    Thank you for the video.
The video shows the App Store app that is trying to download and install Adobe Reader for iOS.  Adobe Reader for iOS is not even launched at the point.  Once we (the Adobe Reader Mobile team) upload a new version of Adobe Reader to the App Store, Apple takes care of the installation & updates of the app (and all other iOS apps) for users.
I just uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader for iOS version 11.6.3 on my iPad running iOS 8.1 but could not reproduce the problem.  I suspect that your iPad is in inconsistent state with regard to app updates.
Here are a couple of things that you could try.
Go to the iOS Settings > General > Usage > Managed Storage.
If you see Adobe Reader, tap to go to the next screen.  This is to ensure that Adobe Reader is completely uninstalled from your iPad.  If you do not see Adobe Reader in the list, skip the rest of the steps.
Tap Delete App to uninstall it.
Go back to the App Store to download and install Adobe Reader again.
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
Since this is an Apple App Store problem, you would have a better chance of getting answers by asking the question in the Apple support forum.

    Good luck.

  • Icloud for Windows won't install on my Windows 8 laptop

    Install Interrupted keeps popping up.

I had a lengthy chat with the Apple Support Team. During this I uninstalled iTunes and it's following bits, uninstalled iCloud 3.1, reinstalled iTunes and attempted to install iCloud 4.0 - but again the installation was interrupted. This happened with or without Nortons 360 Smart Firewall and Auto Protect enabled. The technician wanted me to completely uninstall Nortons but I drew the line at that - nothing to suggest Nortons was at fault. Interestingly, after I shutdown and restarted my PC, iCloud 3.1 was still there and operating properly even though it was not showing in the Control Panel list of programs - go figure.
I also had a session with a technician at the Genius Bar at our local Apple Store. He searched Apple's knowledge base but came up empty.  He thought it best to wait until Apple have gotten iCloud Drive established for the Mac and the bugs ironed out and then try again.

Somehow my Windows Installation pkg for  The HP Solution Center for my desktop Pavillion has been lost and the error message I recieve is; Error Code #2761 and, in the past it has come up as an .msi issue, which I have found to be a network issue.  It seems to be a sensitive issue w/warnings I receive.  Can you help me get my installation pkg for this issue up and running?

Hello and thanks for joining HP forums.  Please go to the link below and enter your HP printer product number.  Download and install that latest software and any updates suggested.  This should correct this error.  Alternatively if you have the disc that came with your printer you can install the software from the disc and it should resolve the issue.

  • ICloud update for Windows won't install

I keep getting the Apple update dialog that states there is an update for the iCloud for Windows application.  I've tried installing from there, downloading the update from Tools -> Download and even downloaded to whole setup file from iCloud.com.  ALL of them fail with the error that there is a problem with the files and it immediately rolls back the changes.

It seems you didn't read the system requirements on the Facetime for Mac download page:
    +"Requires Mac OS X v10.6.4 Snow Leopard or later."+
Your signature say's you are running Mac OS X 10.5.8 Leopard, which would also explain why you are unable to install the Security Update for Snow Leopard.
