2960X - show ip route - shows unknown routes

Hi all,
I noticed on a 2060X which is connected to a vPC pair Nexus 5500 unknown routing entries.
The displayed default gateway (.11) was present on one of the old Core Switches. While doing the migration the cisco Nexus acts now as the default gateway (.1) and and the old core switches were turned off.
On the 2060X there is configured the default-gateway pointing to the HSRP address of the nexus. But there are on all 2060X some routes with another default gateway.
ip default-gateway x.x.x.1
Maybe this is a bug ?!
SWITCH-NAME#sh ip route
Default gateway is x.x.x.1
Host               Gateway           Last Use    Total Uses  Interface
a.b.c.d            x.x.x.11            0:05            7584          Vlan2
e.f.g.h            x.x.x.11             0:00            99681        Vlan2
.11 was the old gateway which was connected on the old core switches (other vendor)
Software on 2960X: 15.0(2)EX4
Thanks
Udo

Hi Charles,
No there are no static routes configured nor a dynamic routing protocol is running.
It seems to be "no ip Host-routing " on 2960x and clear ip redirect on 2960S solved the Problem!! I don't know the reason!

I am unable to connect to WiFi on my iOS7 devices. I have an iPhone 5 and a iPad.  The WiFi symbol shows connection to my wireless router but no internet connection is received.  My other non-iOS7 devices are connecting without any problems.  I have tried resetting network settings on both devices and rebooting my router with no luck.
    Please advise.

  • Unknown router granted dynamic ARP, now what?

I have discovered that the Cisco ASA5505 we are using for a firewall is granting a dynamic arp to an SMC router on the outside interface which has access to the internet. The IP address is not that of the single IP granted for the outside interface to the internet, but it is in the range under the net mask (8 addresses).
I tried using a non-MAC exempt rule in the AAA section to block this, but this doesn't seem to be a good solution.
Is the router coming in from the outside?  Has the outside interface been breached?  Apparently the ASA5505 doesn't think the router is violating an access rules.
The dynamic ARP appeared over the week end, when the normal equipment was shut down, but the firewall left running.  Too bad the ARP table doesn't time stamp when this occurred.
The unknown router has the same MAC address that was found during the middle of last week.  This appearance just started at the middle of last week.
I do not know what router this is, so I now have concern.
What steps should I take to track this down?  (I am not an experienced seasoned security IP person)

    Dear PK:
I did some reading on my own regarding "Gratuitous ARP" and understand that now, but am having problems discovering how the ASA5505 learned the ARP, since apparently the "show mac" command is not available under the ASA 5505 software (I am using the CLI window)
The available show commands are "show arp" and "show IP" which is close but doesn't give me what I need.
It could be that the connection on the other end of my dedicated IP (1 address) is changing or stopping and starting and then sending the Grat arp, as this seems most reasonable, but I would like to confirm that this is so.
It also doesn't help that last week Columbia University in New York scanned our block of addresses and attempted to sit upon both the http and telnet ports.  Their laboratory is set up to scan banks of IP numbers and find misconfigured routers or security appliances.

  • Hi, my iphone its in recovery mode and when i restore my iphone 5s loading show the blue screen and show note on itunes (unknown error 14) please i need your help please . thanks

Hi, my iphone its in recovery mode and when i restore my iphone 5s loading show the blue screen and show note on itunes (unknown error 14) please i need your help please . thanks

In the article Resolve iOS update and restore errors this is what it says about error 14:
    Check your USB connections
    Related errors: 13, 14, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1611, 1643-1650, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, 4005, 4013, 4014, or “invalid response."
If the USB connection between your device and computer is interrupted, you may be unable to update or restore.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use the USB cable that came with your device, or a different Apple USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port directly on your computer. Don't plug it into your keyboard.
    Try a different computer.
If necessary, resolve any further issues with the USB connection, then with your security software.
If you're still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues by following the next section.

While downlaoding any type of file instead of showing the file size 'unknown time remaining' is showing? Please suggest solution to these problems?

I followed ALL the Above suggestions to NO AVAIL!
When I start a download, if I then Click PAUSE, it WILL NOT CANCEL & IT WILL NOT RESUME, just sits there stating "unknown time remaining"
and I CAN'T GET RID OF IT!
It would seem that Something Changed with the latest Firefox Beta Update that is causing this Anomalie.. Please FIX ASAP as I find this Very Annoying.
With ANY Download in Limbo the Firefox Taskbar Icon displays a Partial Download Progress THAT NEVER CHANGES and I can not tell what Other Downloads are doing - It also Warns me that X-Number of Downloads are Still Pending when I go to Close Firefox, but as I stated, these Downloads are DOING NOTHING & CAN'T BE REMOVED!

  • I need to change the info on my podcast that is already published. It is showing up as composer unknown.

I have published a podcast and forgot to add composer so it is showing up as composer unknown  www.wiredforsuccess.tv
I have tried to add in the composer by going into Itunes account and then Info.  However it does not show up when I click through from my site. Help please!

In your libsyn account to edit the info for your RSS feed do the following.
    1. Click on "Destinations" in the upper part of your dashboard.
    2. On the Left click on "Libsyn Classic Feed" or what ever you may have changed the name of the feed to.
    3. On the Right - you will see most of the info associated with your feed.  You will want to add in the info for Author.  You should also make sure the other items are filled in.  Especially - Summary - which is your description in iTunes.  Subtitle - which should just be the first sentence of your summary / description.  And add your Podcast Owner Name and email.
    4. Click Save.
    5. If you want to edit your shows title or artwork - clcik on the "Gears" icon next your show thumbnail in the upper left.  Then edit in the pop up box and click save.
Let me know if you have any questions.

  • IMac shows firewire hdd as "unknown device"

    Hi,
I have an Iomega firewire hdd, that a few months ago worked fine with my powermac. Now I have an iMac Intel and it shows the firewire as "unknown device". I've tried plugging the firewire hdd into two different iBooks and got the same result.
When the firewire hdd in plugged in, its blue light comes on. But I can't hear the hard drive working (though I can't remember if it made a noise when it was working properly).
Unlike another post that was similar to this, I cannot change the jumpers, as it is a closed unit.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks!

hmm, sounds as if either the HD has died/ has a loose connector, or the firewire controller had gone kaput, its not that common but can happen, and seing as you have tried it on 2 other Ibooks and still have unknown device that seems to be the case.
I have had an external enclosure that had firewire and it stopped working but when i took the HD out it worked find, just the box died..
as yours is a sealed unit id hope its still under warrenty
Sorry i couldnt be more helpfull

  • Router 2811 stop routing

Hi all, I have a 2811 [Cisco IOS Software, 2800 Software (C2800NM-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(11)XJ, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)] and I don´t know why, sometimes the router just stop routing. I perform a "show ip route" or "show arp" and seems to be everything ok. Interfaces are all up, and a site-to-site vpn active but no traffic between the sites.
Does anybody know what could be happening or what command should I execute the next time?
    Best regards
    Carlos

  • Purchased movies and tv shows won't show up in iTunes on my Macbook Air

So, I have recently begun purchasing movies and TV shows through iTunes in an attempt to further enrich my Apple ecosystem (and to have awesome movies to watch on a 5.5" screen ). I have had mixed experiences with this transition and am still having issues. For example, my Apple TV worked fine with all my purchases instantly -- no problem there. My Mac Mini takes a bit but it sorts itself out in no time. My iPhone 6 Plus, however, has failed at showing new purchases in the cloud in the videos app (for example, I purchased Doctor Who Series 8 and wanted to watch an episode the other day but was disappointed to find out that it wasn't available in the cloud). My Macbook Air though.. absolutely no movies or tv shows show up in iTunes. I can download them from the purchased section of the iTunes store, but at 2-3 GBs an episode, and the limited memory of a Macbook, I have only condoned a desire to stream them through iCloud.
Yet I can't figure it out. Why aren't my shows and movies showing up at all in iTunes? All of my iTunes match songs show up just fine. I have checked and nothing is hidden, so I am literally stumped.
If anyone could help me understand why, that would be great. And if anybody knows what is going on with my iPhone's video app, that would be awesome too.
    Thanks in advance,
    Dylan

Oh alright -- I manage to resolve my own stupidity quite abruptly, actually.
Shortly after posting this, I annoying took another gander at iTunes Store settings. To my own idiocy, I must have unchecked "Show iTunes purchases in the cloud" at some point. In my defense, though, the availability of songs in iCloud threw me off quite a lot.
Ha ha -- anyways, if anyone else is having the same problem, check there.

We use Oracle 10gR2 routing engine for routing Europe.
We have to keep spatial data in one coordinate reference system (CRS) at the DB level and visualize it using another in our application. When it comes to routing, we would like to make the routing engine issue a transformation of linestring coordinates from one CRS, in which data is held to the other, in which the route is to be visualized. Currently, the routing engine returns a geometry in the CRS, we do not want to use for visualizing.
Is there a simple way of making the routing engine do so? Maybe by changing SQL generated within the routeserver.jar to do the transformation using Oracle packages...
    Cheers
    Sebastian.

    Sebastian,
We will definitely consider this. We need to enhance the
    route request to support this.
Unfortunately there is no simple way to generate this from the routerserver.jar.
You need to do an explicit call to the DB to transform the router geometry
    to the desired CRS.
Are you using MapViewer for visualization ?
MapViewer can do CRS transformation on the fly for visualization.
