Hi ,
May I know on what basis (Which is the field in R/3) the following PO extractors will extract the Delta records.
1. 2LIS_02_ITM
2. 2LIS_02_HDR
3. 2LIS_02_SCL.

Hello,
Every extractor linked with few tables.When ever the transaction takes place in R/3 SYSTEM all the records will move into Application tables.Based on the transactions only delta records will get moved into Target system.

Dear Martin,
The CO-PA DataSources generated use a separate time stamp method for the delta procedure. This procedure means that client-independent DataSources in CO-PA are normally restricted to the clients in which they were generated.

Time Stamp Delta field for Generic Data Source

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to create a Generic Data Source based on view. This view on PA0006 and PA0105 tables.
Will you please suggest me which field i have to take as delta field.

Also, make sure that whenever a new record is created in those tables, field AEDTM is getting updated with system date else you will miss new records in delta unless there is a change in those newly created records.

How to check delta field in EDIDS table

I have to create generic delta based on EDIDS (Status record) table. Since there is lot of data so i have to set delta point for this data-sources.

Seems like there is no other fields which an be relevant delta.
check docnum is possible to use as numeric pointer.
Numeric pointer can be used when table allows for entering new records only.
if there is no delta relevant field, go with full load every time.
Use dso inyour data flow. so that we can introduce delta between dso to cube.
data flow like this
data source---> Every time full load to PSA--->You use delta or full load. it pulls latest request which is full to dso---> dso to cube, load delta dtp.
Need to delete the psa request before every load.

How to Identify Delta Field in DS

Hi Gurus,
1. My understanding is if a field in datasource(DS) is
set as Delta, whenever that field value changes in DS
then the delta process will initialize. (please correct
me if i am wrong) Do we need to replicate everytime
the field value is changed so that the value is updated
in the data target, if so is there a process to
automate it...
2. Can someone tell me how to identify Delta Field in a
DS for example in 0FI_AP_4. i tried to search for it in
help.sap.com but all i could find is that 0FI_AP_4 is
delta capable but couldn't find which field is set to
delta...

Sri Mal,
   1. Yes, there should be one field enabled enabled for delta.
   2. no need to replicate every time when ever data changes. we need to replicate when DS changed. i mean not business data, if meta data changes we need to replicate the DS. let us assume you made one field for selection and one field as hide. then you need to replicate this.
3. OFI_AP_4 is standard DS. you can't enable delta for this one if SAP didn't provide that. we need to active data for this. in the SAP Documentation you can see whether it is delta capable or not.
comming to 0FI_AP_4, IT IS DELTA CAPLABLE.

In my requrement for Data Source 0BP_RELATIONS_ATTR.
As the Data Source is being accessed by BODS sysetm and they need to know the Delta field to extract delta.

Hi,
I would suggest you to create a new sales document and try to find out how does it the new entry is entered in VBUK, VBUP, VBEP and VBBE tables. Also, try to change / modify and delete existing record and see the changes in the table. You need to check which date fields or any deletion indicator is set / modified or not. Do all this one by one and see the changes in the tables. Also, all these changes will be logged in change log table such as CDHDR and CDPOS. This will have all the history of changes for one sales document. Once you identify all this then it will be very easy for you to identify the delta fields. The other way is to speak to functional consultant and ask him how all these tables are affected when you change / modify / add / delete records.

See VBELN is SD no in VBAK ( Header ) .
It will change in item Can i use this as DELTA .
IN LFA1 , LIFNR is vendor no is primary key , can we use this as delta .
As far as delta is considered only that new posting records will come , So if we are giving VBELN , It is only one time , How could i use it as delta , I cannot ..

Delta field for LO Extractor Datasources

Hi All,
Can anyone tell me how to find the delta field for LO Extractor. Because currently i am facing some problem in Delta like, if i do any changes in sales order in Item Level those changes are not reflected in RSA7. And the next change if i do it in header level i cld see the change along with my previos change being displayed. Problem is i dont find as seperate record for my changes in ITEM level.
Ex. x 3040404 001 oooo ppppp oooo hhhh kkkk
3040404 001 oooo bbbbb oooo hhhh kkkk - this is for header level chnage
Item level chnage: Not shown as seperate records
Next header change displayed properly as above.
Pls advise me this is a very urgent issue.

Onething to tell is i am handling diff clients. All my clients r using 3.5 except this client. Very Unfortunate. They r using 2.1c. Its long back i used this version
In LBWE i found they have only one update type i.e V3 update.
I have checked SM13 also. There is one update records for each change in header level data. Also this time i found when i change Route i found one update record. But not when i change Schedule line date.
Pls let me know if u need any further info. Anyideas welcome.

Delta field

Hello gurus!
Is it possible to use an alphanumeric (char) field as a delta field of a datasource. I have a code number field that has data like 1A4B5555.
If I can use this type of field (char) as a delta field what kind of delta would be (Time Stamp, Calend. Day or Numeric pointer)?

I have Z-Table in R/3. I have three fields <b>Fiscal Period, fiscal year , ProfitCenter</b>.
The data records are updated based on two fields fiscal period and profit center.
Im creating the custom datasource. So i need to give delta filed. So how can i give the delta filed for this custom datasource.

Hi,
Do you have ERDAT (Create Date) and AEDAT (Last change date) in your Extract Structure, if so please use the AEDAT as the delta field. If not, just analyze which date field has effect while changing / adding records in that table.

2LIS_02_ITM delta missing after good receipts

Hi everybody:
We are using 2LIS_02_ITM for extracting purchase order, in some cases, delta changes are not uploading to BW, it seems, when good receipt is posted.
We have found the note
Note 485650 - BW: Missing entries in delta queue after goods receipt.
But this note is for SAP_APPL 4.6 and our version is SAP_APPL 4.7 patcht level 14.
We have no be able to find a note for our release but we think that the poblem should be similar than described in that note, but any other clue is good received.

Go to RSA6 and check the availability of the data source
if data source is not available then go to RSA5 (all business content object available here) make a copy of the required DS.
RSA6 - check the DS is available or not..
lbwe - lo customising **** pit...
select required fields - hide - inversion...
do statistical setup run
login to bi
replicate DS..
go to info package
do initalization delta (Delta Q will be generated only after a successfull delta initializtion done. when you do the same system will load historical data from setup table after loading from set up table (init delta) delta Q will be get posted with records for all changes/creation which is happening in R/3 (related to MM) through events. )
i suggest you should go for unserialized v3 (store and transffer on demand )
1. V3 Unserealized ---unsort records
Unserialized V3 -> Update Q> (V3 Coll. Run)---> Delta Q
[When a transaction happends those delta will be get posted in Update Q, in order to transfer those record from update Q to Delta Q you should do V3 collective Run, (the process of loading data from update Q to delta Q is known as V3 Collective Run) ]
2. Qued Delta [SAP recommended]--
It will not sort record or stop record while transferring to to delta q but will continue until the whole record finish. it will have the track of failure record
3. Direct Delta --->Delta Q
it will directly post records to delta Q when transaction happends

2LIS_02_ITM - Adding field problem

While adding field KTWRT from LBWE to 2LIS_02_ITM ,I get the error as below.
Entries for application 02 still exist in the extraction queue ->
Message no. MCEX151
Diagnosis
Changing extraction structure MC02M_0ITM for application 02 is forbidden, because there are entries that have not yet been processed into an extraction queue for application 02 for at least one client.
If an extraction structure is changed to the entries that are still open in an extraction queue, then these are no longer able to be read and can cause terminations with the collective update.
Procedure
Start the collective update using the function "Job Control" in the Logistics Extraction Structures Customizing Cockpit.
To get an overview of the logistics extraction queues, see the Logistics Queue Overview.
Sounds stupid ,however activities i carried out as listed below to ensure all the steps i covered.
PS -
<b>All the contents from LBWQ,SM13,RSA7,Setup table in all the clients available in R/3 system has been deleted.
Deactivated the update.

There are no entries in LBWQ for the MCEX11 and
also no entries in SMQ1 for application 11.
I also ran the collective update using job control with immediate option. There were zero LUW's that were processed.
But, still the error is returned,

2LIS_02_ITM Delta for Cost Center Does Not Work

Experts,
I have activated 2LIS_02_ITM extractor and it extracts delta for PO Header and Item changes. However, when I change the 'Cost Center' or 'GL Account' assignments for a PO Item, system does not generate a delta. I have to make another change, e.g. text or something to bring the related change into BW.
Can someone please advise.

Hi Kartik,
Just ensure you run a job control first on that extractor.A job control would push data from R/3 queue to BW delta queue.Then check the BW Delta queue(RSA7).Then run the extract checker in Delta mode and check for the delta records. If everything goes fine you should find your delta records here.
