3.6.10 is not starting on my MAC
Firefox automatically started downloading the upgrade to 3.6.10.
After restarting Firefox is not starting at all. The Firefox symbol jumps twice and then just ends.
Firefox 3.6.13 requires at least OS X 10.4, the last version of Firefox to work on OS X 10.3.9 was Firefox 2.0.0.20

Mac book not starting - renaming of Mac HD
I installed Leopard 7 days ago and have been having no significant problems until this morning when the machine would not start.
The "chord" sound plays, and the Apple Logo on the grey screen shows, along with the little spinning indicator, but it goes no further. I am stuck, and in the middle of Sudan without any real tech support folks anywhere near.
I have one candidate so far for the source of the problem:
1. I suspect that this may relate to my renaming of the hard drive last night. As to why I did such a thing, nevermind that.
Any ideas about how to get the machine to fully boot up? and perhaps rename the drive again to the original?
Juba BrianOh! I was hoping it gives you two drives / images, and one of the would be the corrupt one. What this may indicate, i am afraid, is that your boot volume has been somehow corrupted.
Did you rename the boot volume via the "get info" window in finder? Because this should be fine.
The only way to go further - alas - is to wait for the computer disk to arrive. And maybe run disk permissions from the disk (you would need to go past the window "installation language", which then gives you a simplified finder bar, where disk utility can be run from. ). if that then finds a disk called e.g. "WD5000AAKS-41YGA0", RATHER than your own disk (e.g. "jubas very own" or whatever you named your drive), then your volume header is probably corrupted, and it cannot access the info. you could try a "repair DISK", then hopefully afterwards "repair disk PERMISSIONS". -

Trashing the app itself is not uninstalling. There are many components at system level, some in folders that are normally invisible to the user. If one of those files was damaged, the problem is still there. To completely remove FCP and/or other parts of FCS, use this free tool.
After installing a major upgrade such as Lion, you should have used Disk Utility to repair permissions on the boot drive. Did you do this?
The first step in troubleshooting FCP is to trash it's Preference files. You can do this by hand or use this free tool. -
Install.app Creative Suite CS5 will not start up on Mac OS X 10.9.4
After a clean unistall I already reinstalled CS4, now i am trying to install the upgrade for disk or downloaded version from the Adobe site for Creative Suite Design Standard CS 5. When I try to start up the install.app I get the message that Installer can not initialize. How can I fix this?

Acrobat will not start-up and mac osx and will not register
Acrobat is installed on my Mac Mini, but will not allow me to register with Adobe. Also, the same Acrobat 8 pro will not operate on my MacBook pro because it is not registered and does not recognize my serial# etc. How can I call someone at Adobe? This product is worthless to me, and I have tried everything.
Hold down the option key while starting your iMac
You should see a screen with some imagines of hard drives appear.
Press the eject key to eject the disk, then select your boot partition (likely named "Macintosh HD") and hit the return key.
If you still hear the three beeps, the computer may be unable to access its system memory. Preform the resets detailed in these articles:

Or try as den.thed suggested if you have recently installed memory into your computer.
If your boot partition does not appear when you hold down option and "Recovery HD" also doesn't appear, or if it does not allow you to eject the disk, you may be experiencing hardware issues. Try the above resets, and if they don't work, you will need to go to your closest AASP or Apple Retail store for service.

Early 2008 MBP will not start up to Mac HD only to "OS X Utilities"
Running 10.8.5 with all updates as of 10/25.
Last night (10/25) I updated iTunes. The computer appeared to be working as normal. This morning the system will only boot up to OSX Utilities. I ran "Verify Disk" and verified disk permissions on all volumes indicated in the left column (Mac HD and Mac OS X Base System). The disks were verified and repaired.
I have four choices: Restore from Time Machine Backup (I don't have this back up), Reinstall OS X ( I don't have enough HD space), Get Help Online (have not found my similar problem yet) and Disk Utility ( tried as noted above - system appears to be ok).
I'm going to the Genius Bar tonight, but was wondering if anyone had any suggestions prior to me going. Thanks for any thoughts!
PS: just guessing, but I feel it may be the hard drive. I am assuming its not the logic board since I can still sort of start up.Called AppleCare, it's the HD. New computer or a new HD.

Hmmmm, http://www.seattlepi.com/ loads fine hear in 10.4.11, FF 3.6.8, but I do see it uses some kind of Flash.
The last really supported Flash for PPC was 10.1.102.64, but if it's for like Facebook or such, people have been fooling FB to think they have a leter version installed.

Last time (a few weeks ago) I had to uninstall firefox and reinstall it. Today I moved the last version to the trash and reinstalled the new version, but it still won't work. I obviously can't do this every time there is a new update. When I click on firefox, the icon bounces in the dock (like it's trying to open), and then nothing happens.

Flash Pro and Catalyst CS5 do not start on my MAC
I have got an iMac Core2Duo 2.6GHZ with 4GB RAM, Snow Leopard 10.6.7 and all the CS5 premium programs I normally use worked fine for some months now. When I wanted to use Flash Pro for the first time now, it showed me the startup graphic and then for a short moment the application appears and after that everything is gone again in a second. Tried Catalyst to check if that runs, same problem, same behaviour.
Reinstall of both applications didn't help. Any idea? I also repaired permissions of the disk.

Windows 7 not starting when partition is finished.
I'm using a Macbook pro 15-inch 2011 using OSX yosemite trying to partition windows 7 ( 64-bit ). Whenever I try to partition my hardrive via book camp assistant and the partition part is successful but windows will not start when my mac restarts. I'm using an external cd drive which works. Its reading the disk but it windows simply won't start and I'll be stuck looking at a blank screen with a type symbol on a black screen similar to what you will find in any windows os. Please help.

You cannot use an external Optical drive. If it is non-functional, you will have to fix it or replace it. This is because BCA sets the boot to be from the internal Optical drive physical address based on your Mac's Model Identifier. This is true for all Macs which have a built-in Optical drive. -

I have tested on my local environment and can reproduce the issue, the issue caused by you are using the count() function in the incorrect way, please modify the expression as below and have a test:
=COUNT(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS.Value=4 ,1,Nothing))
or
=SUM(IIF(Fields!TICKET_STATUS=4,1,0))

I have installed Fabric Manager version 3.3.(4). In the Performance Web Client I can not start the service Data Collection is in starting forever.
I also could not stop it. I rebooted the server and the status for this service is in starting.
