3 red dots in upper right corner

All of a sudden I have three red dots on the lock screen under the battery strength. 5C, and have IOS 8
It seems to disappear once I slide the lock screen out of the way. Don't notice any problems with the phone. Thanks Andrea

The only time I've seen something similar is when the graphic processor is starting to have problems.
Have you noticed dots in any other part of the screen or had any odd system crashes lately?
It's also possible for an LCD screen to do this, they would be called... "not quite dead screen pixels", although I've never seen a screen line up pixels in a row like that, but it's exactly what a GPU starting to fail looks like.
Try booting from your install disk and see if they're still visible.

The large "X" means that the image is still marked as hidden, but as you see the hidden photos, you now have turned on "hidden Photos" in the "View" menu of the main menu bar.
To remove the "Hidden" mark, select the image in the event and use the command "Photos > Unhide Photo ⌘L"

I had to reinstall FF4 during a virus cleaning process, and there are now 4 control buttons displayed in the upper right corner of the window. From the right, there's the usual "Close" (red), "Restore down" and "Minimize" buttons (both blue), and then there's a fourth, green button, with no "ToolTip" associated with it. What's the behavior of this new button?
I'm not normally this curious, but I've just had a battle with the "Antivirus Antispam 2011" malware, and am very sensitive to new graphics that I don't recognize.

I've found over the past day that its presence comes and goes, presumably based on background apps.
As I'm unable to predict when I'll catch it next time, it's best I close this question and I'll reopen a new question when I can provide a screenshot.

Thanks. I used an Apple in 79-81, and got the first PC in EDS (Ross Perot) in Jan, 82. Installed corporate email in 83. Now have 4 pcs in a house of 2 people, supporting our 5 kids and 15 grandkids. Seeing it in context and in our browsers is much easier to debug.
If not, make sure to run the validator here The W3C Markup Validation Service and clear out any problems. HTML errors, especially structural ones, will cause all kinds of display problems in various browsers/versions/platforms.

That number means that you have an event invitation. Use iCal>View>Show Notifications to choose what to do with the notification. Since OS X 10.7.2 is required for iCloud integration, I am not surprised that there are anomalies between the iPhone and the MacBook Pro.

HT1386 It says to click the device button in the upper right corner....there isn't one. Itunes doesn't even recognize my devices since I did the most current update. I have two iPhones, thru different carriers, and neither one works now!

I did the latest iTunes update...I have 2 iPhones--each thru a different provider. Now, I can't sync to download any music from iTunes. iTunes doesn't recognize either device now. When I connected each for the first time after update, it "installed device drivers". I have checked for further updates on iTunes--nothing. Devices are not listed at all. I have tried all 3 USB ports in computer too. I have never had any problems before this update!! HELP! I just bought $15 worth of music I can't download to phones now!

On the left hand side of iTunes do you have the sidebar up left hand side?
If this is not up then try this, with iTunes open press "Control" and "s" together and it should bring it up. From the sidebar it should show an option devices with the iPhones underneath it.

Drop down button is no longer located in the upper right corner of browser

The box is there, but when clicked, my bookmarks appear on the left side of the screen.
I used to be able to click the bookmark box, the bookmarks appear and drop down, select a bookmark and the bookmark menu closes.

The reason I'm exporting in the first place is that a friend of mine wants me to fiddle with the rough cut of his video project a bit, and burn the results back onto DVD. (I think he thinks I can do more than I actually know how to at this point, but I figure that playing around with it is a good way to familiarize myself with the application.)

Is it possible you removed "Flag" from your metadata overlay presets?
Is it missing from all metadata overlays in all views?

Itunes and wireless devices no longer show up in upper right corner of itunes window

Help! My Internet service was interupted last week and when it returned my iTunes and wireless devices no longer show up in upper right corner of the iTunes window. I finally figured out how to get both of my wireless devices to show up on the left hand column under devices, but nothing else shows up now in the upper right corner! I cannot for the life of me figure this one out and the tech manual is not helping at all. Help!

If you have the left-hand sidebar showing then that is where the store and your devices will show can be selected - if you press option-command-S if you are using a Mac, control-S on a PC, then the sidebar should be hidden and the store and device should go back to the top right. Is that what you mean ?

Hard Drive Icon no longer in upper right corner?

I know this probably sounds silly and trivial but it's annoying to me and I was wondering if there is a fix for it. Last week, my Hard Drive icon, which normally sits at the top right hand corner of my screen shows up on the middle right underneath a couple other icons when I start up. I can then move the icon to the normal position but why did it suddenly change startup positions on my desktop? And how can I fix it so that it automatically shows up in the upper right corner after startup like it used to?

In the Finder menu bar, click on "View", then "Show View Options", then activate "Snap to grid". That should keep desktop icons fixed in position.
Why did the HD icon move from the upper right hand corner? Who knows, but it happens. Don't lose sleep over it.
