3 weeks service time?

Hi all,
I sent my 3 months old iphone 5 back to a Vodafone shop where I got it, they request 2 to 3 weeks service time, is this normal and standard?
Now that we all got used to a smart phone companion 24/7 for 1001 daily help!
No push emails, no internet, no social sites, no news updates...it may be do well but sure feels odd first few hours!!!
Need to start go back wear my watch, find my alarm for wake up...etc
I guess Apple should consider a real solution, even if Greece is relatively small market and in deep crisis, a company should either market a product in an area and support it to the level of the company name in particular when that name is on the top end of the market or decide they can not offer support and do not sell or at least warn end user if they get in trouble they will not be offered help they expect.
Or may be I am wrong and my expectations were too high, it just feel like someone buying a Mercedes and in trouble with his friend buying a Hyundai and smiling.

Unless you are on R12.1, you can't control this value. If you are on 12.1, Default Timecard Period has been added to preference Self Service Timecard Period for a Worker, where the following options are available:
Period on or after system date
Earliest Period prior to system date
Closest Period prior to system date

Do you mean the check box isn't enabled?
Or you remove the check but it doesn't "stick"?
Or you remove the box but documents are stil getting locked?
That setting doesn't apply to other things in System Preferences, just apps that support AutoSave and Versions. If you're having a problem with System Prefs, please clarify exactly what.

Self Service Time Customization

Hi Friends
I have a requirement to include an option button / listbox to show where the consultant worked. That is either onsite or offsite in Self Service Time Application. We are in 11.5.10 version.
We dont have any descriptive flexfields in this HTML based application.
How can i do this. ? Please suggest me

OTL Timecard selfservice pages are not true OA pages and are based out of LDT layout files. There are wrapper classes over OA beans and a custom rendering engine to render the timecards. There are still some references to AK and hence the corresponding changes. We can directly use LOV OA regions on 11.5.10+ instances along with the LDT changes, but I still won't suggest that.

One more quick thing first. Hold the SHIFT key this time as you startup and see if that gets you any further (this is called 'Safe Mode' by the way). I'm not too confident that this will work in your case but it's worth a try. If it boots up, go into Disk Utility and repair permissions.
If it doesn't, you're going to have to do an Archive & Install which will install a fresh copy of the OS over the top BUT keep all your users, files and apps in place.

OTL Self Service Time Card to OTL Timekeeper

Hi All,
I'm new to the Oracle HRMS module and have a question. Can you update OTL Timekeeper with time cards from OTL Self Service? I did read a very brief, one or two line sentence in one of the implementation manuals that said you could. However, at this point, I have researched in vein and still cannot find any information as to how or what should be done.
Any help is greatly appreciated,

Sure.
We would like to take the employee time cards being entered into the (OTL Self Service Time Entry) and once approved, have them automatically populate the OTL Timekeeper by employee. These employees are already defined in various Timekeeper groups. Once the supervisor opens up that group in Timekeeper they will be able to export those employee time records to an excel spreadsheet for further data manipulation. That's our end goal.
The question I have is, how does the upload from (OTL Self Service Time Entry to OTL Timekeeper) happen?
Does it happen once the employee time card has been approved?
or
Do you have to launch some type of concurrent job, etc?
I just can't find that process answer and what if anything that needs to be done.

ABAP programs are cross client. They are repository objects!!!.
Dont know if it is possible to check repsonse time of a process as such. Yes you can do an performance analysis of dialog/background,update WPs etc. as a bunch but individual process analysis in terms of weekly data.. I have no idea. Anyways it makes sense to do this analysis for type of workprocess and not a workprocess in itself. It is not as if a workprocess is performing well you are going to replace it with something new :-). For system performance analysis ST02,ST03,ST03N,ST04 and ST06 are best transactions though check ST03 and ST03N in your case of process response time analysis. May be you will find historical details of an individual work process using ST03N. Wish u luck.

We have received a request from one of the prospective US based client for R12 upgrade proposal. The RFP say “Upgrade of Self-Service Time to Oracle Time and Labor (since Self-Service Time is not supported in R12) “.
Any idea on Self-Service Time, is it different module?
Has anyone done upgrade from Self-Service Time to Oracle Time? Need help to arrive at efforts required for upgrade from self-service-Time to OTL.

Dir API - Web services Time out

Hi All,
I am using Dir API web services to make some mass updates to Config objects. I have developed a client in Java and was able to access/edit the ID objects. The problem I am facing is since the number of objects in the change list is huge ( >1000), the web services time out.
I tried to set the time out parameter for the web service call using
context.put(BindingProviderProperties.REQUEST_TIMEOUT, 600*1000);
also,
context.put("com.sun.xml.ws.connect.timeout", 600*1000);
context.put("com.sun.xml.ws.request.timeout", 600*1000);
None of them seem to have any impact.
Any ideas what is the correct way to adjust this time out behaviour?

Thanks for that. I am not looking at changing the time outs at Server. I am just interested in changing the time outs for the request I make from the client. The point is I do not want to impact any other services running in the server.
In WS Navigator, it seems possible to change the time out value using Invocation parameters. (Did not try this yet!!)
So it must be possible to set the time out for the request from the client.

Application Server Administration Service Timer Job stuck at Initialized 0% . Config Cache clear doesnt Help.MOSS2007

Hi All,
One of my WFE/Query server for MOSS is showing Application Server Administration Service Timer Job stuck at Initialized 0% in CA timer Job status.
In timer Job Status in CA under the SSP Job Control service I find the Application Server Administration Service Timer Job struck at 0%
I have tried Clearing config cache of the Farm . I have tried disconnecting this server from Farm and reconnecting it with Psconfig UI, I have tried running Psconfig.exe on the affected server. But even after doing this service is stuck at 0%
If I exit the OWSTimer.exe from task manager, it shows aborted at 0% . I am using a single SSP and reconfiguring SSP is not an option right now.
Any help regarding it will be greatly appreciated.

Have you changed the password recently? Also try to restart the windows timer service on all server.

Netboot & Service Time

I'm configuring a new Netboot/netinstall for the first time in a production environment. It works quite well, and I'm pleased. (10.5.8)
However, due to lack of experience here, I'm not sure if this is actually a problem. When I look at my server logs there is a LOT of entries like this:
10/15/09 9:59:17 AM bootpd[200] service time 0.000011 seconds
Pretty much generating about 5-20 lines per minute.
What's that about?

Hello, Over the last few weeks I have been unable to download any new applications to my iPhone five. Every time it pops up with an error message that says "cannot download at this time try again later." I don't know if I have accidentally reset something differently or just what the problem is. We had to get bank cards as a result of the "target" security breach, however our bank shows that iTunes has "pinged" our account so I know that that part of it is working. I do not understand how the cloud where perhaps it has something to do with a conflict there.
I am bordering on the edge of real frustration can anyone please help? Kenny V.

There are a couple things that I would recommend trying. Try closing all open applications and power cycle the device. Next, go through the section labeled Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in the second article below. If the issue persists, try completely signing out of the iTunes Store on the iOS device and sign back in. Be sure to test downloading an application after each step.
