4.4.1 ACR xmp problem - see new info

As suggested I have upgraded to 4.4.1 and have the same problem. However there is further info below that should allow anyone to reproduce the problem. I.ve just done it on 3 machines.
Original Posted Problem
Would appreciate help on this if anyone has seen the problem.
I use ACR 4.3 on windows XP Pro with CS3, 4 gig ram.
My normal practice is to copy my CF cards to folders on the desktop, then
drag each folder to Bridge to rough select the keepers.
I then open the remaining images in ACR and make further deletions if
necessary.
When I delete images from the ACR screen, the X appears as normal but the
sidecar.xmp file is not been deleted, only the NEF deletes.
New Info.
After deleting the X images the corresponding .xmp files have gone - problem fixed I thought!!
If you now drag the same folder to bridge for the second time, then open all images in ACR, make any alteration to all of them, then delete for example 3 images, the X appears and the NEF file is deleted, but the dreaded sidecar.xmp files are still in the folder for those files deleted on the second pass.
I,ve tried this a few times and it always gives the same result.
Hope this makes sense and someone else ca reproduce the same problem

Sounds like one of those pesky little bugs that might get fixed, unless it doesn't. My only suggestion would be to try converting to DNG. Then you wouldn't have to worry about the XMP files at all.

Problem adding new info to an old PDF File

I have an old book I wrote and saved in PDF years ago, like 15 years ago.
I tried to add some new info to the book so I can have it on my news blog
I have been able to get the old pdf to display, but when I try to add the book into my Word 2010 to put on my blog the final new file, it won't load the old file.
Any ideas on why new Word won't import an old pdf to merge into a new file?

It does it for other old books I've done, just not for this huge book, it may be it's too big over 100mb in file size since it's all scanned images of gov docs about UFOS.
So it may be a size limit to merge a new word doc with an old pdf file.

Problem seeing new Planning App over Web

Hyperion Planning 3.3.1I'm creating a prototype application in my test system. Ideleted an old planning application that wasn't needed anymore, andwanted to re-use the sql database it was linked to. I ranthrough the setup wizard. I was able to see the old sqldatabase and was able to use it in which to create my newapplication. I can see the new application in the PlanningDesktop. However, on the web, the application with the oldname still shows up in the drop down box. I can log on to it,make changes, and refresh, and it goes to the Essbase cube with thenew name. The only place I see the old name is in the webapp. Does anyone know how to change the name in the web app? I am also unable to add new users in this new application,and am thinking it's related to the disparity in names. Anyideas?

It should be in the server utils folder. You just need to runthe utility again. If you are using a web application server, youwill have to copy the hsp properties file in the web app directorytoo.

When i press command+I (Get Info) i see that there is 140 GB "Available Space" on my hard disk but when i click on my hard disk icon on the desktop, and then press "space" i only see 102 GB free!! What the f*???

Wifi problems with new ipad

I'm trying to learn how to correct wifi problems with new iPad. It is the wifi only, 64GB model. I want to be able to use it at work, where we have a great wifi network. I can usually connect to our network with no problem, but after an hour or so my iPad loses the network. When I try to reconnect, I see that the network is showing full strength reception, but I get the error message from the iPad that I am "Unable to join" the network. My iPhone connects to the same network seamlessly, as do all of the other iPhones of my co-workers and the older generation iPads that some of our staff has.
At other locations, I typically have no problems (home, apple store, etc.) but I have had the same situation pop up at a coffee shop where I could see that there was a wifi network available, but I could not join it even though it was the shop's free wifi.
I have tried turning the iPad off, turning off wifi and turning it back on again, and forgetting the wifi network in question. I can't think of any other methods that are available to an end user to correct the problem.
I have already gone to the Apple store to swap out the unit, and the newer one is having the same symptoms.
Can anyone offer any advice here? This is quite frustrating.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Cannot see new SMS in SMS and MMS inbox when SMS and Email Inboxes are separate

I have this frustrating problem that i am not able to view any new SMS in SMS and MMS Inbox when i change SMS and Email Inboxes to be separate, each time i have to go to View Folder SMS Inbox to see new messages.

TS4526 I have 3 of the first generation apple tv's. while they continue to show my library, I can no longer see new content to download in the tv and movie sections?

After 2-3 days with this problem, it has resolved on its own. I now have access to movies, tv shows, and music.

List of Problems with new Web Mail

List of Problems with NEW Web Mail :
- At first doesn't open full page message list or retain full page as default setting, have to drag down bar
- Only shows 20 message lines after “pulling down” the divider, screen partially empty until I scroll down. It should show at least 26, preferably all available
- After moving bar, bar moves back up after going back to inbox (not delete message) after reading a message, have to move it down again, and again...
- Doesn't go to next message when delete message on screen is selected, no setting option for default to do this.
- There is a drop down to select which folder to move a selected email to. The initial display shows 7 usable choices, with the usual slider and arrow to show more choices. The space on the slider clearly shows more choices are present (actually about 20 or so are there), but any attempt to use the slider or arrow to see more choices causes the drop-down to instantly disappear. I can't move the selected field with arrow keys either. I can select any of the visible 7 choices, and move an email to only one of the 7. NOTE: This one works in both IE and Firefox, but if Verizon Webmail was fully web standard (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_standards) compliant it would also work in my preferred browser, Mozilla Seamonkey, the direct descendant of the original Mozilla browser. Webmail should be FULLY web standard.
- Occasionally a message will move from inbox to trash, without NO indication or command to move them.
- Emails occasionally flash an error message and simply disappear - not to trash or other findable place, just disappear. No time to read the error message either.
- No way to set a whitelist for supposed spam emails, unless the whitelist for “Blocking” is the same. Very unclear.
- How can I switch my service back to the original, basic, email which works ok? I know it’s still there, since some of my other accounts still access it!!!
This seems my only way of getting this info direclty to the programming staff. If it doesn't actually do this, will SOMEONE PLEASE FORWARD THIS MESSAGE TO THEM !?!

Outlook 2013 and exchange. Cant see new mail in subfolders.

In our company we have exchange 2010 with sp3 and all clients with windows 8.1 and Outlook 2013. Problem is that clients have problem with new messages in their mailboxes. they cant see new messages in subfolders. In Outlook 2010 everything worked fine,
and after migration to 2013 this problem started.
For example:
There is user mailbox. He have a lot of subfolders. All subfolders is for varies companies. So he created rules, then someone writes from campany, mail goes to its subfolder. Problem is that then user opens Outlook in the morning, he can't see that
new mails are arrived to those subfolders. User must open that subfolder and only then, inside that subfolder he can see unread message. But how user can know, that inside is unread mail? :) Sometimes everything works fine, and sometimes user can't see new
mails. Then he opens OWA, all new mails is marked as unread and there is number near subfolder with unread mail count.
And this problem repeats to all users. I updated exchange to SP3 update 6. Operating system and Outlook is up to date. Recreation of profile helps for a week or two (Or user do not notice problem), and after that user calls me again with the same problem.
And this happens not for one user but for all. Sometimes restarting Outlook helps, after restart number with unread mail count appears near subfolder. There is no addins or other changes in Outlook. Search folder is not a solution, because there is a lot of
subfolders, so it would be a mess.
Can you advice me? Where can be problem? Is it global for all users who are using exchange 2010 and Outlook 2013?

I tryed using search folder but this solution didnt helped. Then user opens Outlook he sees unread mail count near subfolder, and sum of unread mails in search
folder. But somefing happens and new mails does not appear neither in search folder neither near subfolders. But then client opens subfolder there are unread mails. In OWA everytime everything is OK. So user must check in OWA is there new mails and in which
subfolder, then he opens that subfolder in Outlook, and uhnread mail is here.
And another thing. Now one of clients have this problem. There is no count of new mails in subfolders, outlook does not show it, but OWA shows. In rules, client created few rules, near rules in action section,
there is icon, it looks like screwdriver and wrench, i went to propeties of those rules and removed "Stop processing more rules", and this icon disappeared. All rules updated to server, and after that, new messages counts appeared near few subfolders.
Is it possible that somehow this message count is combined with rules? Ant what does whis screwdriver and wrench icon means?

The Software Update function on my iMac mid 2007 with OS X 10.8.2 fails to see new software ,not with /Apple/Software Update or /About this Mac or /System Preference/Software Update, the problem started already with 10.8 and I had to download the 10.8.2 Combo manualy, installation was succesful, but since iPhoto11 (9.4) is now available my existing iPhoto11 (9.3.2) will not detect updates using AppStore or all the other ways, Any idee is welcome.

Glad you got your Mac fixed. But I hope you realize that an update can always go awry; corrupted download, stray voltage spike in your AC power, even a bug in the Installer of the Update. That's why it's never a good idea to update anything that affects your business for at least a week or even two AFTER the update comes out.
And this applies not just to the OS Update, it may be even more important with an update to one of the apps you need for your business! 8-| There's hardly ever a valid reason to make an Update while working on a clients task. Certainly no reason to make an Update during the work week. That's what Week Ends are for! LOL!
Basic rule for the OS Update, for me, anyway, is to NEVER use the Software Update version. I ALWAYS go to the Apple site and download the Combo Updater. It's often much larger, but it's never failed me. Maybe just that fewer people are hitting that server! Who knows? Who cares?
Second basic rule, WAIT a few weeks to see if there are problems associated with any update. What's the advantage of being the first one on the block with a problem?!
Third basic rule, try the download a second time. Bits/electrons are very slippery! Some have been known to fall out of the Internet "tubes!"

Problem creating new sites. The formula refers to a column that does not exist

I have a problem creating new sites in my development environment. We have a template which works properly when we create new sites with it. However, when we add one new content type in the site created and save it as a new template, we can't create new sites
with this template. The error log is that there are one problem in one column [The formula refers to a column that does not exist. Check the formula for spelling mistakes or change the non-existing column to an existing column].
I have opened the wsp template with visual studio but I can´t discover what column is the problem because the log only refers to the feature (ListInstances).
Anybody knows how to find my problematic column?

According to your description, after added a content type into the new site and save the site as a template, there is an issue when creating another new with the newly
site template.
Based on the error message “The formula refers to a column that does not exist…”, seems that it would be an issue of a Calculated column in the content type you added,
please go through all the Calculated column in that content type to see if the formulas all work well.

Can't see new music in iphone

I recently upgraded my iphone to ios 6.0 sicne then I cannot see new music to load from my PC to my iphone 4. The music is in the cloud and plays on my PC but not my iphone.

Thanks, I am using Match and on my PC it shows that the songs in question are matched. Before loading ios6.0 I copied music to my phone with no problem. The old music I copied before is still there but I cannot see or add the new music even if I plug in and sync with my PC.

Can't see new Podcasts

In the iPod app on the iPhone, I can no longer see new podcasts from the "Get More Episodes.." choice for podcasts I listen to. I can see the new podcast episodes just fine in iTunes for Windows. This just started happening. Any Ideas?

Ok, I just updated to Mavericks 10.9.3, in hopes that this would do something, but I'm still having the same problem. Has anyone else run into this? Really frustrated!!
