4 disc errors found when running 'verify disc"

Did verify disc.
1. incorrect number of thread records
2. invalid directory item count
3. invalid voume file count
4. invalid voume free bock count
I have no clue what any of this means. I ran OS X install disc and repaired the disc successfully. Can anyone tell me what these errors mean?? Is my hard drive in danger of failing??

Sometimes things on the hard drive can get out of sync. Booting from an operating system DVD or original DVD that came with the system allows you to repair the disk to fix the errors. Sometimes Disk Utility can't fix the errors, and that leads you down a different path. Since you're repaired, we don't need to go there.
If you want to look at the health of your hard drive, first look at Disk Utility, and when you've chosen the hard drive, see what the SMART status says. If it says 'verified', you're OK. If it says anything but 'verified' then you're on borrowed time.
If you want to go deeper, download SMART Utility from http://www.volitans-software.com/smart_utility.php . This will show you the actual SMART indicators and give you a better view on the health of your drive. I once had a hard drive with SMART status as shown in Disk Utility = verified. Volitan's SMART Utility showed that there were read/write errors accumulating, with a yellow status (in green=good, yellow=failing, and red=dead) on the drive. It wasn't bad enough to trip the SMART indicators for Disk Utility, however, the drive itself was in the early stages of failing.

So, I believe I got the most up-to-dated version of XMLparserv2.jar.
I spent a day or 2, trying to execute some samples in the article, but things did not work out well. Whenever a stylesheet file (*.xsl) contains "current-group()" functions, it raises the above error.

We purchased Licensed version of Red Hat Linux Oracle for our network server. My boss wanted a simple way of installing Samba on it so that the server can be used for file and printer sharing. We have an active directory on our network and couple of other Windows servers as well as other Red Hat servers. He wants to install Samba on that licensed version so that it can primarily be used for file storage and sharing, he wants to be able to connect with gui type interface to this server from windows machines and linux machines and he wants for this Red Hat Linux Oracle machine to show up in active directory.
Aparently when we went to Applications, Add Remove Software in Red Hat Fedora Samba was not in there.
When we go to System, Administration, Server Settings, Services, Samba is also not there.
Nowhere can we find an easy way of installing samba on this Linux OS.
I went to your site, signed in, (previously there was only 1 channel available there, I have just recently found and added all the channels that were aplicable to our system) and downloading them now to another version of the same type of Licensed Red Hat Linux Oracle. Hopefully when I use Software Updater in System Tools it will load the packages we are loking for (from the channels I selected on your website). Once that is done I think I could just go to add remove software and install the packages that I need from there.
I am still not sure why I set out to install repositories on this version of Linux, perhaps I mistakenly thought that once everything is installed (according to directions at http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/linux/htdocs/yum-repository-setup.html) on the machine in question I would be able to use that same machine to get the packages for that same machine. We were in such a rush and desperate to put the server on to the network it did not dawn on me that this scenario is designed to have one serve on the network that holds repositories and other machines connect to it for packages.
I think I am on the right track in my logic, log in to your site with the CSI number, user name and password, select ALL the channels versus only one, save the search, then from the machine update packages, then add new software and Samba Should be in there. I would like to hear your thoughts on this.
This version of Linux seem like a very reliable version of OS and I would hate to give up on it, especially since we already bought licenses for it, its just that we don't have that much experience with it and I would upreciate all the info that you can give us for it. I am sure that everyone at SMMJ will upreciate you for it.

Did your custom report ever ran successfully in the environment you are getting the error.
Most of the time not all the report definition and associated definitions are migrated to the next environment.

Error analysis
     You attempted to access an unassigned field symbol
     (data segment 32995).
     This error may occur for any of the following reasons:
     - You address a typed field symbol before it is set using ASSIGN
     - You address a field symbol that points to a line in an internal table
       that has been deleted
     - You address a field symbol that had previously been reset using
       UNASSIGN, or that pointed to a local field that no longer exists
    - You address a global function interface parameter, even

How to correct the error
    You may able to find an interim solution to the problem

Error 1003 when running .exe

I am having a problem with error 1003 when I run a built application. I have searched the forums and found many others with this problem, but they encounter the problem while building the application, not while running the built .exe.
I have a top level VI (AutoRun.vi) that calls 3 VIs in sequence. All three are called in the same manner. The first two work fine, but I get this error with the third sub vi. This is how I call the subvi:
Use App.kind, check for "Run Time System" (strip app path twice), or "Development System" (strip app path once)
Build path to combine stripped path and file name of subvi to open
open vi reference
Invokee Node - Open FP
         Activated - T
         State - Standard
Invoke Node - Run VI
         Wait until done - T
          Dispose ReF - F
Invoke Node - Close FP
Close VI Reference
The error I get is:
Error 1003 occurred at Invoke Node in AutoRun.vi
Possible reasons:
LabView: the VI is not executable
I do not get this error while running in the development environment. Only when I run it as a .exe. Also I have had no problems with this code in the past. I just made a small change and now I have this problem. I have gone back to the old code and have the problem with it too.
I build the app by starting the app builder, selecting the top level VI, adding dynamic VIs and select all 3 subvis. The front panel of the second VI is not visible while running.  I have to go in and manualy change the "Remove Panel" in the build settings for this VI from the default yes to no. If I do not do this I get an error while trying to run the built application. I have no idea why this happens either, but making this change fixes the problem. After this I select build.
BTW, I have LabView 7.0

I have a Pro*C program that I have been able to pre-compiled, compiled and linked on my workstation using Mingw/gcc compiler and standard include files (sdtio.h...) from MS Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition.

The result is an executable file that gets connected to an 11g database hosted on a w2003 64-bit server, opens a table with blob fields and expands the blob content into a target table (one blob source record generates thousands of target records). Everything works fine when running from my workstation.
For some reasons, this executable file must run on the O11g server itself. So I copied and pasted the executable file on the server and tried to run it. I thought it would work...
But I get the following error message in a popup window: This application has failed to start because orasql11.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.
At this point, I do not know anymore what to do to solve this problem !
Does it come from the fact that the complete build have been done on a Windows 32bit platform and the server is a 64-bit platform ?
Do I have to install a O11g 64bit client on my server to make it work ?
Do I have to rebuild everything from the server, meaning that I must install a kind of development environment on my server (Mingw/gcc and so on) ?
Is there something to change in the registry of the server or in the path environment variable so that this dll is found ?

Actually, I do not have any O11g client installed on my Oracle server. But the DLL exists in my $ORACLE_HOME/lib on my server, more precisely in E:\app\dev_ora\product\11.1.0\db_1\BIN.
As I built my executable file on a win32 platform with O11g client 32bit installed, I was wondering if the same executable file copied onto the server was not trying to find the relevant 32 bit library on my win64 platform, which of course does not exists as I have only a 64bit version of this library !! Would-it be the cause of the problem ?
Does an O11g 32bit client installation on my Oracle 11g 64bit server would solve the problem ? Any inconvenient to have on the same server both an O11g 64bit server and an O11g 32bit client if it appears to be the solution ?

CRVS2010 Beta - Error message when running on Server

Hi,
In my application everything runs correctly. As soon as I publish to the server I get this error message.
"Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {C0C99FA5-E1D3-494E-BE0C-73C19424F91C} failed due to the following error: 80000003 One or more arguments are invalid (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80000003). "
The server is running 2003, IIS 6, and has the new Beta Runtime already installed.
Does anyone know what this means and how to get around the issue?

I have changed my build from any cpu to x86 as seen in another post but still error continues.
The server has the following installed.

When installing a NI 5112, I get an error message when running the test panel.

I have recently decided to reinstall my PCI 5112 high speed digitizer in a different computer, for practical reasons. After having installed the software, hardware and successfully passing the self test, an error (10800) occurs when running the test panels. The signal applied to the channel and the different parameters used, worked fine with the previous computer but not with this one. Any idea why?

The error code you are getting is related to the board not recording enough samples in the given time interval. May I ask which series of PCI card you are using. This can be found by looking at the device in Measurement and Automation Explorer and looking under devices and interfaces. The series letter is the one on the end of the number after the hyphen. E.g. PCI-MIO-16E-4 would be an E-series board.
Also which versions of Measurement and Automation Explorerand NI-Scope are you running? Are these the same versions as you used in the old PC system? Sometimes an upgrade in the version is all that is required to fix such a problem but unfortunately it can sometimes cause a problem if you upgrade! It would depend on the versions you are currently running and the series of the board that you are using.
