5800 three issues

Issue #1: I deleted all of my music on my 5800 and reloaded all new music (about 2 gigs worth), I restarted the phone and then refreshed my library. It added my new music but it did not delete the old music. How can I delete these old files from my library.
Issue #2: Every time I connect my phone in Mass Storage mode and sometimes in PC Suite mode, the Messenger says that it is Unable to Read the memory card and switches my text message saves to the C:, I then have to go back and change my message save location back to E: manually. Is there a way to stop the phone from doing this.
Issue #3: After upgrading my 5800 to v40 my left headphone plays louder than my right. I have tried different headphones and different songs and they all played the same. I am push the plug all the way in. It was working just fine before the upgrade. Is anyone else having this same issue?
These attention to detail issues get annoying when they pop up, Nokia (or Symbian) really needs to fix these issues. Some of these issue carry over from update to update and thats not good business. I would like to stay away from resetting my phone if at all possible...I have done so many resets, I have lost count and quite frankly my phone is setup the way I wont it and do not want to sit and set it up again.

1. Try to delete all songs then refresh library. Then add songs and refresh again. Tell me what happens. I havent encountered this before so I cant say it will really work.
2. This is because the card is being locked to the PC for use. This is actually normal because the two OS cant access the same drive at the same time.
3. Check MusicPlayer>Options>Settings>Balance It should be in the middle.

I have three issues with CC:
1. I want to be able to EDIT my work when I don't have income. The desktop model supported this. The cloud model does not, and that is unacceptable.
2. Adobe can keep raising the price, because they will be holding us all hostage. Sure at some point a percentage of CC users would drop off, but all that means is that Adobe can milk the absolute most from us using this model. It's not a vehicle for innovation, it's a vehicle for exploitation.

I'm having three issues: spellcheck goes off, lastpass not working on all sites, and message boards not working correctly

I'm having three issues with Firefox. I had the latest 10.1, and I just tried Aurora, but that didn't solve my issues.
1) Spell checker keeps going off on messages boards. This happens frequently on 247 sports boards. I enable spell check, make a post, and it's off again when I make another post.
2) On the same 247 board, when I make a post (by clicking the "post reply" button, nothing happens. To get it working I actually have to quit the site and go back in.
3) LastPass plugin is no longer working on all sites. Site like Facebook and Yahoo all of a sudden Lastpass doesn't recognize as having usable fields.

Three Issues

I have three issues though not life threatening. However would appreciate if I could get some help on fixing these from our online friends:
1) At times when I make a small change in iCloud Account, I get a notification from Apple that there has been a sign in into my account but this message comes in French instead of English. Any suggestions how to turn them back to English? I used to get them in English earlier.
2) I find Time Machine Back up a painfully long process. I am using a USB Cable. Is there a quicker way to back up documents on my hard drive automatically? I saw a few pages on iCloud Drive & my Mac does have one(given I have OS X Yosemite). I copied a few folders from the hard drive to the iCloud Drive for want of a smarter & an automatic way of doing it.
3) What kind of tasks can the Automator App help us to do? I am a financial advisor.
Appreciate all your answers and help.

5800 3G issues

Hi guys,
I know it's a known issue for those of us living in New York and Chicago that we can't get 3G, but i've been searching around and I havent found any info on whether or not Nokia has managed to fix that problem yet? My 5800 is not picking up 3G here in NY and I was just wondering if there's a fix that i didn't manage to find?

5800 memory issues

Hi all,
When taking pictures with the 5800 I get the message (cannot acces memory card, phone memory used instead)
I change memory options to E: Memory card but still get the message when taking pics.
I can access the card fine from phone file manager and through PC.
Have reformatted and tried second sd card.
Games and some apps will not install on the sd card either but will on phones memory.

It could be due to a faulty memory card. You said you've formatted it and still you have issues. Then chances are high that you would need a new one.
As said by the poster above, you may try restoring factory settings (Type *#7780# at the stand-by screen. This will not result in loss of data). But if it's something to do with the memory card then it won't help.

5800: vibration issue

Hi everyone, sorry for my very bad english (I'm italian...eheheh).
I have an 5800 with 31.0.101 FW (it's the last update for my product code) and it has a strange problem related to the vibration of arriving sms or calls, not the touchscreen vibration.
I noticed that after some hours that it's turned on, the vibration stops working, and this happens in silent mode (obviously with vibration activated) and in all other modes with a ring activated. To resolve this problem i have to restart the phone, turning it off and then on. But after some hours this happens again.
I tried to do Hard Reset and reinstalling the firmware, but after 1-2 days same problem.
The secretary of customer support in my town told me it's an hardware problem and the phone have to be sent to Nokia Italy for at least 2-3 weeks for repairing, but I think it's a software or firmware issues, otherwise the vibration will not work for nothing.
What I have to do? Waiting for new fw update for my phone, hoping that this will resolve this problem, or sending to Nokia? I need help!!!! :-(

Since you already tried a hard reset, try it without a memory card. It maybe that system files on the card are corrupt. However if nothing helps, you really have to send it.

5800 camera issue

When I try to use my Nokia 5800 camera it just says "Unexpected error occurred. Restart the phone." is displayed

Does it do this the first time you use the camera after restarting the phone or does it allow you to use the camera once or twice before the problem occurs?
Also try this:
Menu > Settings > Phone > Application sett. > Camera > Image > Restore camera settings
If that doesn't help try this:
Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone mgmt. > Factory settings
You shouldn't lose any data doing this but it will reset your settings. It's wise to backup anyway.
If that still doesn't solve it, try this:
Dial *#7370#
This will fully wipe and reset the phone so all data and programs will be lost. Make sure you backup and test the camera before restoring your backup.
If that still doesn't help then you have a hardware issue. Contact the retailer or a nokia care point.

Nokia 5800 - calendar issue

The alarm for calendar events on my phone has suddenly stopped working. Instead of my phone alerting me of a todo note, it says "alarm missed due to time change" (or words to that effect) when I open the calendar after the alarm was due.
Multiple restarts haven't solved this issue. Anyone have any ideas?

Yes, but I've had the phone for 2 months now and automatic time update has always been turned on, this problem only started a few days ago.

Nokia 5800 screen issue!!help!

hey guys,i bought my nokia 5800 somewhere in december last year.and a couple of days ago,i began to realize that there were moving vertical lines across the screen.the lines are most visible when my light sensor(intensity) settings is set at 75%.it only came to my attention when i hard resetted my phone 2 days ago and the intensity settings was reverted to its default 75%(i've kept it customized at 25% until 2 days ago).the moving vertical lines are less visible in darker backgrounds and at a lower light intensity.i was just wondering-is this normal??has anyone been experiencing this?is there a fix to this?
p/s:this issue is different compared to the previous 'slider+screen lines' issue. the moving lines on my screen is constantly present.locking and unlocking the phone bears no effect whatsoever on the lines.

I think I am having the same issue as yourself, it just started recently and I just bought it in April. As you stated this is not the other common screen issue where after unlocking the phone those bars show up across the screen. These are thin lines that cant be seen from far away, it is only when you look closely that they become obvious (they just keep moving vertically across the screen). I have a pure black theme on and I cannot notice them but when I use a lighter theme or use any application with any other color it becomes very apparent.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Nokia 5800 texting issue (o2)

hello ive had my 5800 for about a month now and been very pleased up until now, been using the phone on o2 fine until the other day it stopped sending texts, everytime i go to send a text it goes in the outbox and says 'resend (2mins from time), i checked the message center number all correct, i tried another o2 chip but still no joy, i had credit on there so that wasnt an issue i updated the software on the phone too but still nothing, i rang o2 up and they said its the handset, i hadnt done anything prior to the phone like connect it to pc or anything, just seems strange, i even tried restore factory settings please if someone could help me id appreciate it alot

5800 Software Issue - Screen Fuzzing

hey people!
I'm using a 5800XM and over the last few weeks it appears to have developed a software issue... it's not perminant its getting worse and worse!
every time i lock the screen, then unlock it (doesn't seem to matter how long its been locked for), it will show a fuzzy screen. seems to show the correct colours eg: white and blue if i've left it on facebook, red and black when on the background etc...
the only way i can fix this is by rebooting...
i've wiped the phone, removed the memory card and even reset the device... still the same...
FW Version 21.0.025 (up 2 date)
any ideas?

The same thing happened to my 5800, at first it wasn't so bad and went back to normal but it gradually got worse and i haad to take it back. I have recentley had my phone back and they told me it needed a software update. Whilst it was getting fixed they updated my phone with the newest software and it works perfectly now, its like it was when it came out of the box!

I have three issues that i came across in the latest version of firefox (16) n firefox beta?

I am using a samsung galaxy s3 international which i just updated to latest jelly bean. For Flash Player to work on it i downloaded the .apk online n installed the latest one. My problems are now when i use firefox for android i have the following problems.
1.) Flash videos in full screen have stopped showing the video controls (this is play, pause, etc.). i.e. they just disapear as soon as i switch to full screen, n are there when i press back to minimize.
2.) Another issue is when watching flash player in full screen mode the phone auto-locks while i am watching the video which is an issue because when i unlock the phone the video automatically minimize and crash. Please introduce a feature which stops the phone from auto locking when the browser is in use and when i stop using the browser it automatically turns on.
3) Even when 1 tab is only open the browser after some time of use at times it just freezes completely and to make it work again i need to go to home screen, and completely remove it by swiping it off from the multitasking bar and then open the app again for it to work fine.
Now i know most of you would say that my main issue here is with using flash player and therefore i should use another browser which runs it more stably, but the main reason i want firefox to address this issue is because the browser has adblock plus which in my opinion is the only best feature that makes browsing flash content on a mobile browser more user friendly. This is because when watching flash videos in other browsers one accidental tap in the video player ad or webpage ad which can easily happen due to the smaller screen n huge fingers would open up new or several new unwanted tabs of ad bloatware which starts to make browsing experience really bad in every other browser.
So Please firefox or anybody fix this issues or teach me how to fix them myself.

Due to security vulnerabilities, rolling back to Firefox 4.0.1 is not recommended. Version 3.6.18 would be a safer choice.
Here's the process to roll back:
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Backing+up+your+information Backing up your information]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, download and save Firefox 3.6 to your desktop for future installation. http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all-older
Close Firefox 5.
You could install Firefox 3.6 over it (many have reported success) or you could uninstall Firefox first. If you uninstall, do not remove your personal data and settings, just the program.
Unless you have installed an incompatible add-on, Firefox 3.6 should pick up where you left off. If there are serious issues, please post back with details.
Note: If you don't have Firefox ask you before updating, you may need to set that to prevent an automatic update back to Firefox 5. Tools > Options > Advanced, Update mini-tab

BB8830 SW Ver 4.5 - Three Issues

I have a 8830 from Sprint. I have 3 issues thet I would like addressed:
1. The device is locking up frequently, requiring a hard reset (remove the battery). Is this a common problem and is someone looking into it?
2. When I have to do a hard reset the icons are reordered. Is there a config setting to keep the desktop icons in the same order when I hard reset the device?
3. After a hard reset the BB8830 prompts me how to search the network because I have a SIM card. Is there a config setting I can set so it does not prompt me everytime I reset the device?
I have SW version 4.5.0.135. This is the latest software version available from Sprint.

5800 XpressMusic issues

I have the number stored in SIM and phone memory still when a person gives a call i can only see the number and not the "NAME" which i have stored. This is irritating.
Other issue i have faced it gets stuch sometimes in touch screen when a call comes but luckily nokia provided 3 buttons.
can you please help with the 1st issue.

You have the classic duplicated number problem. The phone sees two entries with the same number so it doesn't know which to use.
To get it to show the name you need to either delete the entry from the sim or delete it from the phone.
