5800XM need keyboard to enter data in java app

I have downloaded an app to my 5800 but once in the app i need to enter my account details.
There is no keyboard in the app to allow me to enter the details.
any ideas please

No idea's yet, but same issue. I get a D-Pad in my Java apps (not a number pad) and I have a few apps where clicking th custom edit box doesn't give you a choice to bring up a keyboard (the Opera Mini app - address bar is an example. filed a bug with Opera against that)

I could get all technical and fancy on you, tell you about jre's that can run on palm pilots and such, but nevermind that stuff.
The answer is that the java 2 runtime environment is all you need

Need help with entering data into a table.

I just created a table, but I can't enter information. I don't want the data linked to a datasource. I just want it to save to the form like all of the other fields.

Even when I create a simple table, no ability to enter information. Please help. I know this must be a simple answer, but surprised that there is no response.

Access Price data form Java App

This is a question of can it be done.
If a Java program runs from a website and is used to stream currency price data can I use another program to access the price data that is being streamed to the Java program?

How do I fix? Keyboard and mouse cannot enter data on IMAC

Both my wireless mouse and my wired keyboard cannot enter data. They are frozen out. But a wired mouse will work through the USB port on the back of my keyboard.

Can a java app pass values to a c-shell script?

I'm running a shell script that executes a java app.
I need to pass values from the java app to the shell script, such that I can code
java myapp
echo <value1>
echo <value2>where value1 and value2 have been set in the app.
is there a way to do this?

I know the script is being run, because if I change
the script name to a name that doesn't exist, I get
an ioexception, when I change it back everything runs

Note that I'm testing this under XP with batch files;
eventually it will run on unix.

Start working on a way for the script to hoist the values into itself.
For example if the script calls another script which does the echo what happens?
Or can you call another script, set some env variables, and then see them in the original script?

Double character input error when entering data in numbers using Bluetooth keyboard.

Using a bluetooth keyboard (Logitech) sometimes causes a double character input when entering data in numbers.
For example if wish to enter the number "22" or the word "in" they become "2222" and "iinn". Pressing enter of tab also causes a double jump
This problem is not always solved by turning keyboard off and on or by closing down and restarting numbers.
This problem does not occur in any other app.
I have used 2 different Logitech keyboards (ultra-slim and the recently new folio keyboard) and both caused the same problem.
The error is sporadic but frequent and has lead to me often having to switch back to touch input.
Very frustrating considering these excellent keyboards are ideal for using in numbers when working correctly!

Not much help I'm afraid, but I just saw your post & wanted to let you know that I have the same problem, but for me it manifests itself in many apps, and it happens with the Apple bluetooth keyboard
. The only thing I've noticed is that it only seems to happen when I first start typing after not using the keyboard for a while (I'm not sure how long a while is, but maybe 30 seconds or so). Then I'll type & the first few letters will be fine, and then one letter double-types, and then it's fine again until I stop using it for whatever the threshold amount of time is. I'm guessing that it has something to do with the iPad's battery management & that it's shutting off the connection to the keyboard or something & once it picks it back up, then it double-types that letter.
At least in Pages, it isn't as big of a deal because I know it's coming, I can correct it & then type for a long time. In Numbers, my keyboard use is much less consistent, so I need to be more cognisant of it.

Seems to be something to do with a new security check they have put in the system that does not work correctly and support is totally incapable of helping me out.

I've been jumping through the hoops with Apple Support on this issue....first time I called they said I should try updating from IOS 4.0 to 4.1....tried that and the issue still persisted...then I called back to update the ticket and get the next steps...they said that the Bank is rejecting the request for verification and that is why it keeps prompting (which doesn't make sense since the confirmation seems to go through successfully). The rep also contacted the iTunes dept and had them run the verify manually and said the bank rejected it. The next hoop they want me to jump through is calling the bank to verify that the account is in good standing and inquire about the rejected requests. I'm fairly certain the bank account is in good standing....will verify of course....but I find it hard to believe that all the people who have posted here, plus countless others that are experiencing the same issue but haven't, are ALL having banking issues in the last 24hrs...I'm more convinced there is a disconnect on the back end between iTunes and Financial institutions...
I'm not sure I buy in to everything I was told...he also told me he has had several calls on this issue and they were all told to check with their banks. He could not verify that any of his past calls were resolved. Needless to say I'm not 100% believing everything he told me....weak response from Apple support on this issue so far.

Try doing a click-and-hold on the Time Machine icon in the Dock, then select "Browse Other Time Machine Disks".

How can I read the last cell of a JTable that a user Enters data

I have a one column JTable with several rows that a user enters data to. Upon entering the last data, the user clicks a button to read all the data from the rows in the JTable and puts them in an arraylist. If the user does not click enter or navigates away from the last cell, then after clicking the button it does not read the last cell entered. Since the user is clicking on a button to indicate he is done entering data on the table, does he also have to hit the enter key to indicate he is done entering the data?

This post is continued from the last one. I was having problem displaying previously entered data into TableModel. someone suggested whether my TableModel is persistent.
I am sorry to say I am not sure how to make TableModel persistent. Can someone tell me what to do.

Please post the entire class, this certainly won't compile because it does not implement all the TableModel methods. Also, why not base it off of AbstractTableModel?

Hey, I do that same thing quite a bit. This is probably cheating and probably looks ugly to the pro's but it works for me.
the textfields give a string that is in the format dd/MM/yyy, so convert that to a date object something like this
String date1= text1.getText();
String date2 = text2.getText();
SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat(dd/MM/yyy);
try{
sdf.setLenient(true);
Date d = sdf.parse(date1);
}catch(ParseException p){"System.out.println("I take exception to that");
then do the same for date2.
then try
if(date1.compareTo(date2) >0)
{System.out.println("the first date is greater than the second date");}

I have an html form for entering the Date on retreving that value in a java servlet i get it as a string i want to convert that date to SQL date format so that i could use setDate() method of the java.sql.Date class to update the date value in the database.
i used the following way but i need the code without using the deprecated ones.
