64bit Win 7 & CS3

Hi, I have just tried to install CS3 onto mt Win 7 64bit PC to no avail, apparently it's incompatable, is there an update to allow installation?

U must back date to 2009 year to run update
I've got Adobe Web Premium CS3 and all programs working great

I Need java 1.6.0_4 for SQL developer 3.2 64bit, Win 7.
SQL developer behaves weirdly sometimes. It frequently drops connection, doesn;t show compile button when i open a procedure and certain other things.... I found ver 3.0 quiet stable.
I think it may be because of my incorrect java version (1.6.0). Please tell me how can I get this Java version 1.6.0_4. I checked oracle.com, version 35 is available there....

No - we can't provide it. You have to download it yourself. If you have trouble with the download you should report the problem to Oracle.

Then you should have seen the 'Previous Releases' link jus above the download Icons near the top of the page.

All of the available prior versions are available at that link.
But I strongly suggest you heed the advice given to use the latest 1.6 version of Java available unless you have a very good reason not to.

MacPro1,1 (c.2006) 16GB RAM Upgrade Needs 64bit Win 7 OS?

Hey guys.... client has a 32bit Vista running on his MacPro1,1 right now, had 1GB RAM, got him 16GB because he wanted to stay with that computer. However it only shows 8GB, and reminded me of the times Windows always showed less RAM when it was 32bit.
So would this be as simple as upgrading to like 64bit Win 7 and it will use all 16GB?

Photoshop CS4 extended 64bit crash opening CS3 files

Everytime i open a CS3 psd file in Photoshop CS4 extended 64bit the application crash after few minutes or seconds... this is very very very frustrating...

In PHOTOSHOP CS4 extended 64bit i think the problem is opening CS3 files containing text layer ...
I have done tests with
- a file with only background > apparently OK
- a file with a simply text layer > CRASH
- a file with a simply text layer and masked image > CRASH
- a file with masked image > apparently OK
all file are 640x480 72dpi RGB
The 32bit version don't crash but is to slow than CS3

Please help with glitch in AA3.01 on 64bit Win 7 Pro/ M audio 192?

This is very frustrating and it happens irregularly but repeatedly. When recording, I sometimes get a very quick click or snap which is invisible on the waveform but can be seen in spectral view as a thin line running from top to bottom. It can be edited out, but really slows down a production!
This sound is not caused by me. It is far different from a mic 'pop.' Yes, I use a blast shield, and am about a foot from the mic. I might record 10 minutes and never hear it, or I might record ten minutes and hear it multiple times (maybe 6 to 10 times?) Interestingly, I have never seen or heard it when recording silence,
I have a new PC with WIn 7 Pro 64 bit I have 9GB ram, 2 x 1TB drives. Gigabyte GA-X-58A-UD 3R motherboard.
My card is an M audio audiophile 192. There don't appear to be new drivers beyond what I have loaded. In fact, when I load the latest driver, although it apparently loads, it does not show as such in the M Audio driver window. 5 10 0 5074 is shown, even though the driver 'says' it loaded the new one successfully.
Any and all advice is welcome. This is driving me crazy and maybe away from Audition but I love the program and don't want to replace it! Thanks!

I use twin soundcards - one for professional audio - the other for Skype. I
have tried moving the buffer to 4096, if I recall, but it didn't help.
Latency doesn't matter to me as I record sans headphones.
I can't really shut down everything on the computer since I must have access
to email and antivirus for email while I am recording. My processor is an
i7 and I don't think there's any overclocking going on. I can't remember
what the dialog was on the M Audio driver, but I seem to recall something
about several items being updated...
Would I be better off trying to emulate a 32 bit computer within the 64 bit
environment, or does that only turn everything down to 32 bit, not just AA3?
Another odd thing is I sometimes hear this glitch on playback where it IS
NOT recorded... which I determine by playing back the audio in question
several times. If not recorded, it'll glitch at a point, then on replay,
not. When recorded, it's there in the spectral view, and each must be
edited out. It's very annoying and time consuming.
Any other ideas are welcome. I am uncomfortable with messing with the Bios
since I am not THAT technical.

SWAP? CS3 Win for CS3 Mac

I have Adobe Creative Suite 3 Web Premium for Windows, and I recently moved over a Mac platform. I am not in a position to upgrade as yet to CS4, so looking for someone who may be in the reverse situation who may want to swap a CS3 Mac for my CS3Win.
I purchased my version as a download, so basically all we need to exchange are serial numbers, or happy to zip up the files and place online for you to download if necessary. I am happy to do same in reverse, or receive a boxed version if that is easier.
(Adobe only offers a cross platform exchange for current versions.)

Help! Canon XH-A1S capture problems in Win 7x64, CS3

I was thinking of buying the Canon XH-A1S so I rented one for the weekend. I need to have this camera up and running for tomorrow (yikes!) and have been fighting all evening to get it to work.
My original goal was to do some live streaming at an event tomorrow (not absolutely critical to live stream, but it would be nice). However, I can't get beyond the point of trying to get drivers (none shown on the Canon site) and to get the camera capture working in Premiere.
Can anyone help? I've tried a number of the things suggested, starting with rebooting/powering off and turning on again, to changing the order that things are turned on and off. The camera shows up in the device manager, but the manufacturer is shown as unknown.
The canon manual is pretty cryptic and brief when it comes to its PC connection instructions, so that's not helpful. I'm going to download a trial for CS5, but from reading the forums it sounds of things other have been able to get this camera to work with CS3 & CS4.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer! If anyone knows of a good, fast resource I can use to get the firewire to live stream working, I'd also really apprecaite that. I was planning on doing the live stream on ustream tomorrow.

Have you installed the 64bit version from Toshiba recovery disk?
As Paolo wrote you should check if you are able to install the 32bit version if you start the HDD recovery feature.
If not you need the Toshiba recovery disk I think Did you create it?

BlackBerry Desktop software doesn't work on 64bit win 7

Hi, I downloaded blackberry desktop 710_b039_multilanguage software from blackberry site and installed on windows 7 64bit os, after the installation it continuously opens an installation window and please wait while windows configures blackberry desktop software, it doesn't stops untill I uninstall the BB Desktop software. I even updated the latest JAVA software. can some one help me with solution please.

Twain in Photoshop 64bit (WIN)

I'm wondering why tehe still isn't a 64bit version of the Twain Scanner Plug-in for Photoshop. How long do we have to wait?

Many scanners themselves don't come with 64-bit support for TWAIN yet. However, Adobe still releases softwares as 32 and 64 bit. However, the difference being Photoshop CS6 for Mac is 64-bit only.
There are 3rd party tools that let your 64 bit OS use 32 bit drivers. One such tool is http://www.eztwain.com/twain-bridge.htm
Another great product is VueScan from Hamrick which supports over 1800+ scanners - http://www.hamrick.com/, available in both 32 and 64 bit and works on Windows/ Mac & Linux. You may want to check it out.
One of the most recommended solutions is to scan outside of Photoshop. That is what your scanner software is for - exclusively only for that. Take the image from there as a TIFF into Photoshop for further editing.

I am getting below error while trying to install Oracle9i 64 Bit on 64bit WindowsXP Version 2003 SP1.

I am not able to understand what is the cause of this error.

I believe you need Itanium CPU's for that version of the database. I was planning something similar but Oracle Support say you can only do it with 10g.

This version is only certified on the Itanium platform.
I assume you are using the Intel AMD64/EM64T platform. (The 64-bit Oracle9 will not be suppor

Any comments on deploying BOXI3.1 on 64bit vs 32 bit Windows OS?
Memory: since BOE would still run in 32bit mode, I'm not sure it can breach 2GB memory limit, which defeats the purpose of using 64bit infrastructure in the first place
CPU: I could not find any reasonable comparison of BOE running in 32bit mode vs running in 32bit mode on 64bit infrastructure. Some folks say it should be faster, but no documented results.
Storage: majority of i/o limits are driven by hardware, not software. So should not be big difference betwen 32bit compare to 64bit. Add again BO cannot exceed 2GB Virtual memory limit

Satellite L500D: 64bit Win recovery disc is 32-bit - can I restore 64 bit?

Hi all,
I have a Satellite L500D, which has Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit.
The recovery CD I have is only 32-bit, however, and I need to reinstall Windows.
I'm assuming this disk can only install the 32-bit version, and doesn't give you the option - so after it is installed, is there still a partition on the HDD for the 64-bit version?
If possible I would like to still use the 64-bit edition.

Please be careful with this.
Before you want to use recovery DVD you must create 64bit recovery disc version using preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator.
Many Toshiba notebooks are delivered with:
-preinstalled Win7 64bit version (recovery disc is not in package)
-additional 32bit version as recovery disc.
Im not 100% sure but I think that after 32bit version you may not have access to 64bit recovery image saved on HDD. Please create 64bit recovery disc before you change anything.
After doing this you will be sure that you can install 64bit using created discs.
