6th generation classic doesn't have full screen static cover art feature

my old 5th generation ipod classic had a function to display the cover art in the entire field of the 2.5 inch screen while playing the song.....i went into the a local apple store and asked the rep if the 6th generation classic had the same functionality.....after tooling around trying for 15 minutes to find it, two guys couldn't......does anyone know if the 6th gen ipod classic let's you display the image in the whole 2.5 inch screen while the song in playing, or is this a limitation of the new "cover flow" feature?

  • Why my numbers doesn't have full screen button?

    iOS5.1
    Numbers1.6
I'm reading the guider now, it says that in the upright corner there is a full screen button, but I can't find it. Anyone help me?

The new version removed the full screen button and functionality. I am not sure if they have updated the document your reading or if you downloaded an old version of the documentation.

    Hello houseman06
Check out the troubleshooting steps in the article below to get your iPad nano back up and running. Also check to make sure that the lock button is not on preventing it from being un responsive.

  • 6th Generation Classic - External Speakers

Previously, I had a 5th Generation Classic iPod (60GB) that when connected to external speakers, had an option (within the Speakers menu) to show large album cover artwork during song play.  And when a song was playing, the album cover, on a black background, filled the display.
I'm now using a 6th Generation Classic (120GB) and the Speakers menu does not offer the "large album cover while playing" option. I've search throughout the various menus, and so far, have not found such a setting.
Can this be done on a 6th Generation?      (Is so, where's it selected?)

  • HT1245 Why does my caller I.D. photos show as a small thumbnail in the upper right corner and not full screen? I have used both photos I have synced and photos I have taken, yet others have full screen photo I.D.'s.

Why does my caller I.D. photos show as a small thumbnail in the upper right corner and not full screen? I have used both photos I have synced and photos I have taken, yet others have full screen photo I.D.'s. I have looked onlime at several threads and there are no real answers as to what I need to do or am doing wrong.

I am also having this issue.
I've just spoken to someone in the Apple Support Centre who advised me that since the product is in beta, he is unable to assist. I wanted to find out whether someone was able to delete the data for me, or 'reset' the photos app somehow. This apparently cannot be done. He suggested I provide feedback via the feedback page, which I will do, but to be honest doesn't fill me with a lot of confidence in the issue being fixed.
I also deactivated the service and waited the 30 days for the pictures to be deleted - this should have been completed in mid-January. Instead, my iCloud.com Photos page is now showing the photos that should have been deleted as grey squares, just as you described. I am also unable to delete these photos; every time I try, I get the same message about a server error.
I am also unable to disable the service by enabling and then disabling it on my iPhone. Each time I have tried this it hangs on uploading for several hours, with the progress bar not moving at all. When I disable it on my iPhone, the web app remains unchanged.
If anyone has had this issue and has managed to fix it, PLEASE share your wisdom. I am out of patience!

  • Please can you tell me how to find out which generation Classic ipod I have?

Please can you tell me how to find out which generation Classic ipod I have?

    Suppose so. More specifiaclly though;
We know it's not a Classic.
If the last three characters of the serial number are not in the list shown for iPod (5th generation - late 2006) model, and yours (WEC) are not, then it is not an iPod (5th generation - late 2006) .
Providing the screen on your iPod is wider than the wheel underneath it, then it must, by default, be the iPod simply known as iPod (5th generation), available from October 2005.
If - by any chance, the screen on your iPod is the same width as the wheel underneath, then you actually have a very early iPod, prior to the 5th gen one.
So unless you realise otherwise, you have an iPod (5th generation), available from October 2005

  • I just upgraded to lion on my intel macbook.  I would like to change my facetime alert to something different than a phone ring and, I would like to be able to have full screen.  How do I do this?

I just upgraded to lion on my intel macbook.  I would like to change my facetime alert to something different than a phone ring and, I would like to be able to have full screen.  How do I do this?

    Downgrade Lion to Snow Leopard
    1.  Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button.  When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
    2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area.  If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing.  SMART info will not be reported  on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
    3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
    4. Quit DU and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
This will erase the whole drive so be sure to backup your files if you don't have a backup already. If you have performed a TM backup using Lion be aware that you cannot restore from that backup in Snow Leopard (see below.) I suggest you make a separate backup using Carbon Copy Cloner 3.4.1.
If you have Snow Leopard Time Machine backups, do a full system restore per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.  If you have subsequent backups from Lion, you can restore newer items selectively, via the "Star Wars" display, per #15 there, but be careful; some Snow Leopard apps may not work with the Lion files.

  • How to have full screen from a 3/4ths screen? 3/4ths happened accidently. How to avoid?     .

How to change from the three-quarters display that I have now, to full screen display ? 3/4ths display was accidently done recently. Has happened before &
Apple  people told me the fix, but have forgotten. Something simple. How to avoid in future ? Thanks, JM

Worked; now have full screen. To explain - 3/4ths screen was on the right side of the display, so there was a small soething something in the upper left corner(of the 3/4ths screen) which I clicked on & dragged until the
3/4ths was on the left hand side of the screen. Then went to device on screen lower right & dragged it (& display)
fully to the right, resultingin the full screen display. Thanks gain

  • How can I have full screen while using yahoo or safari on my iPad air 2

How can I have full screen on my iPad air 2 with out having bookmarks as part of the screen

Try quitting Safari like I describe, then reset the iPad. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.
I would also suggest that you check to make sure that you have enough free space on your iPad for it to run efficiently. With iOS 8 it is recommended that you have 15-20% of the storage space on the device free.  For a 16 GB device that is 2.4-3.2 GB free. For a 32 GB device that is 4.8-6.4 GB free. For a 64 GB device that is 9.6-12.8 GB free.

  • My icon are showing DO not have full screen?

I do not have a full screen, my icon are showing

It's pretty simple to create your own Full Screen keyboard shortcut. Here is what I did and it works perfectly:
    1. System Preferences
    2. Keyboard
    3. Keyboard Shortcuts tab
    4. Application Shortcuts
    5. Click + symbol at bottom or right box and select All Applications
    6. Set Menu Title for Enter Full Screen &  Set Keyboard Shortcut for Control + Command + F click Add
    7. Repeat Step 5
    8. Set Menu Title for Exit Full Screen &  Set Keyboard Shortcut for Control + Command + F click Add
    9. Exit System Preferences and use the new keyboard shortcuts on all apps that have Full Screen capabilities.

  • Does anyone have any advice on how to fix a 6th generation classic, when the manual reset doesnt work either?

    Hey,
Ive bought and ipod , without reading the description, silly me and it says the ipod wont turn on at all......ive tried the manual reset ( menu and middle button) still not working at all.
I wondered if anyone had any advice, whether theres another way of making it work, or whether im going to have to go into an aple store and see what they can do?
    Thanks

If you followed instructions from the apple support site: http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/five_rs/classic/
and you have not been successful, it will be harder. You can always google your problem and watch the different links and youtube sessions explaining how to do it. If your iPod is dead, meaning nothing shows up on the screen when you attempt to revive it, then it could mean the battery is totally dead or other hardware issues that prevent a power up. Don't try to spend too mcuh money in reviving your classic outisde of the Apple route, you might just end up spending that amount plus having to go to the Apple store anyway. I would try to see if it can be revived on the cheap by just prowling the web and trying the different solutions, but please don't open up your iPod, the classic is notorious for being difficult to open without damaging your chrome cover or even the front faceplate. if you can't do anything and you really want to revive it, go to the store and weight your options cost wise. If your final solution is to say goodbye to the iPod and want to get a new one, Amazon offers the same ones for less and the warranty is exactly the same plus you'll have 30 days to return it instead of the standard 14 from the Apple store (no tax too), you'll still have to pay for shipping but at least you'll have longer to consider keeping it. If you want to get warranties longer than Apple and for cheaper, use SquareTrade, they are very afforable and they will restore your iPod to like new and will cover for shipping it both ways (check them out first to see if they still do).
    Hope htis will help

  • IPhoto 11 window won't open, only have full screen view

After I upgraded, the iphoto window would not come up. The menu bar at the top is active, and I am able to access my photos from Full Screen View. But when I toggle back, and close full screen, everything closes...
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you!

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
    What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.
