7980 video call to a H323 gatekeeper-registered Polycom

Hi,
Only the audio is working for the point to point call from a 7980 that is registered with CUCM to a H.323 VSX 7000 registered to a Cisco IOS gatekeeper; there is no video. Although both endpoints have video capabilities. The call flow: 7980 (SCCP) -> H.225 trunk gatekeeper controlled -> gatekeeper -> VSX 7000. What is missing to prevent the video from showing up?
Thanks

After adding a H.323 client, the CUCM is registered to the gatekeeper using a RasAggregator trunk and video is now working.

    Dear All,
We have two cucm Clusters in Different Locations between that clusters i created
Inter-Cluster Trunk (Non-Gatekeeper Controlled) Now all are working fine Between Clusters
audio calls & Video calls between sccp 8945 phones  , but iam facing a Problem with third party
Video Phones (Polycom VVX 1500 ) Third Party SIP Phones located in second cluster, From 1 st cluster cisco 8945 Video
phone to  2nd cluster Polycom Video phone all calls are works for voice call only, but no video ,
    Please Suggest me Solution.
    Thank you,
    Sriman

Try setting up a SIP trunk between the two clusters and set a route patten just to the VVX 1500 and check how that goes.
From memory inter-cluster trunks are a H.323 like protocol which might have video inter-op issues with the Polycom device.

  • Lync can't complete video call to VCS via B2BUA

    Hi folks,
I did the implementation in my customer of VCS gateway with Lync 2013 using B2BUA.
    But the call dont work,
    The log in VCS is:
    tvcs: Event="Call Rejected" Service="SIP" Src-ip="10.252.48.42" Src-port="49817" Src-alias-type="SIP" Src-alias="sip:[email protected]" Dst-alias-type="SIP" Dst-alias="sip:[email protected]" Call-serial-number="b0076012-b61e-4581-bc2a-707e6668e817" Tag="1cb85667-c012-4936-927d-deed07f92a8a" Detail="Request Terminated" Protocol="TCP" Response-code="487" Level="1" UTCTime="2014-11-24 17:50:36,725"
The number [email protected] is the AutoAttendant of MCU.
The version in VCS is 8.2.2.

Again, it would be important to understand the whole call flow and setup.
Do i see it right that you have a dedicated GW vcs and a VCS for the video endpoints where the mcu is registered?
You showed the h323 setup of the MCU but how is the call hitting the MCU h323 or SIP?
The zones and info are TLS but the call info you showed is TCP, which call leg is that?
Please reach out to your Cisco Partner if its you order the encryption key for the MCU (if its available in your country, but as you use TLS on the VCS I would assume so).

  • Polycom 7000 video call to 7960

I have configured our call manager 4.1(3) and 3745 router to place calls form
a 7960 phone to a polycom 7000 video conf unit using h.323 gateway and gatekeeper on our 3745 router.
the call connects fine and even shows the user name on the polycom screen.
To accomplish this i created a h.323 device in the call manager pointing to the polycom 7000.
the gateway and all video endpoints and call managers are registered to the gateway.
all calls are using the gatekeeper in and out of the public network.
I have dial peers for the h.323 to and from public network for my call manager controlled phones and my PRI circuits.
All of our circuits and phones have been controlled via MGC so devloping this has been a real learning experence.
    Problem
I would like to place a call from the polycom (h.232 id bloomfield7000 e.164 4337580) to a 7960 or the public network.
seems i would need some dial peers but not sure where to go.
any help finding examples to look at would be great
    thanks
    Jeff

    Paul,
I removed the h.323 phones and went with the h225 trunk and that worked great. i can call both ways now.
    another question
i have an mcu tied to a pri to a 3745.
the 3745 also has a pri to SBC.
i can place a video or voice call from the MCU back to its self through it's PRI.
i can place a voice call from MCU through PRI to 3745 through the SBC Pri.
But i can not place a video call through the SBC pri.
If i place the mcu directly on the SBC pri i can make video calls. From the debug i see the call as unrestricted digital.
Not sure what needs to be done to allow video to pass from pri to pri out to the public network.
some setting or command on the dial peer perhaps ?
    Thanks
    Jeff

  • Two EX90 devices can make video calls over Internet with No VCS-C and VCS-E

    Dear Experts;
I  have just started TelePresence and VCS 2 weeks before by going through cisco docs and videos and I had taken a risk of implementing the infrastructure elements.
We are now implementing Cisco Tele presence with VCS-C, VCS-E TMS,TCS,MCU and End points with  Jabber in One setup.
and in another setup CUCM 10.5,UCCX 10.5 IM&P,Jabber with some 10 agents.
Now the question is In our same building in 2nd floor we have one EX90 and in 5th Floor one EX90 and over LAN we can make video calls using IP address.
In the same way is it possible to make  a video call between 2 EX90 devices present in different location in the same city over Internet without the involvement of VCS-C and VCS-E.
    Appreciate your valuable reply.
    Regards
    Debashis

The simple answer to that is NO! Where is the EX90 registered to at the moment? Is it on the VCS? or CUCM

  • TS3367 I already try these steps but I still got the problem I can't make a video call at all or receive .

I already try these steps but I still got the problem I can't make a video call at all or receive .

    Here som other steps you can try;
Make sure that you have an internet connection
Make sure that you have a valid Apple ID (check here: myinfo.apple.com). Note that your Apple ID  to register FaceTime on iPad 2, iPod touch, or FaceTime for Mac must be an email address. You can create a new Apple ID or make changes by visiting myinfo.apple.com and using the “Manage your Account” part.
Tap Settings > FaceTime to see that your email address is verified. If your status is saying “verifying,”; then try toggling FaceTime off and on (Settings > FaceTime OR FaceTime for Mac: FaceTime > Preferences)
Try turning FaceTime off and on again using the following (iOS: Settings > Phone OR FaceTime for Mac: FaceTime > Preferences)
Make sure that FaceTime is enabled (Settings > FaceTime.)
Make sure that the camera for FaceTime is not restricted (Settings > General > Restrictions.)
Tap Settings > General > Date & Time to check date and time are set correctly.
Make sure that you are using the correct method for calling the person. iPhone user: Use the phone number; iPad 2, iPod touch, or FaceTime for Mac user: Use the email address

  • Cannot get video calls to work on two 9971 phones.

we are using two 9971 phones, both have the cameras enabled, and the preview video button works, but we do not get video on any calls.
camera has been enabled in the Enterprise Phone parameter.
    CUCM 7.1.5.1
so, we should be fine for service pack level.  anyone have any ideas?  both phones are set to "auto transmit" video.

Ok, now you'll need to do a few things for real-life:
Adjust the per-call bandwidth (region) and total bandwidth (location) on CUCM. The table below will help you calculate what values to plug into the fields.
Note, there are system-wide inter-region default values under Service Parameters. Set that first and then set the fewer one-offs on the regions/locations individually.
The 9900 series phones support several different video resolutions per the data sheet on Table 6.
Bandwidth consumption for each of the supported resolutions is not well documented; however, the CSF-based clients release notes actually mention it on Table 11 provide a table. Note that CSF may not support the exact same list of resolutions so use this only as a guideline.
Do not forget to update your QoS configuration. Be careful not to undersize the video queue; this traffic is bursty unlike voice.

This table identifies the appropriate bandwidth value calculations to use with CUCM or IOS. This table was originally obtained from the Cisco Live 2010 session BRKEVT-2300 presentation.

  • Video calls over E1 ISDN PRI link

    Hi All
I have an ISDN E1 PRI Link through MGCP gateway, the telco say that they will provide a Video call service through this link for up to 30 calls!! is that possible (voice is working fine)??
What I know is a 64 k provided by each ISDN channel is not enough for Video calls unless using MCU or a gateway to aggregate the isdn channels.
Other people suggest that with H323 gw this can be done.
Call flow: Mobile Phone ==> ISDN ==> MGCP (or H323 if required) ==> CUCM==>Video enabled phone
    Please advise..Many Thanks

    Hi,
H.323 is supported in Cisco ISR routers. It is recommended to have dedicated video gateways the Cisco (ex Tandberg/Codian) 3200 Series would be better.

  • Video call (ip phone)

    Good day,
I just want to ask if there's any additional equipment needed to implement the video call technology. Are the equipments used in voip technology can be use for that? Can you give a list of the hardware and software needed. Thanks!

Call control (CUCM/CME), basic network infrastructure as needed (ISR, switches, etc), video phones.
Or you can also have VCS, and SIP/H323 endpoints
You can reach a Cisco Gold partner for a free quote if you're looking to deploy a video solution.

  • Facebook Video Calling Security Question

When I try to use video chat in Facebook, I'm directed to download a file.  The file is "FacebookVideoCalling_v1.6.jar" and it comes with this message:
Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers."
I don't want to change my security preferences because Facebook refuses to register the program on the App Store.
I also have a valid Skype account and have linked Skype to Facebook.
How do I use Facebook Video calling without relaxing my security protocols?

Thanks for the quick reply.  I should have made clear that I know how to make an exception for this piece of software.  I'm probably more troubled that Facebook doesn't seem to care enough about security to register the program.  Is there cause for concern?  Before posting this, I was reading various blogs that expressed concern about FB collecting private data while users are engaging in the video chats.  I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist, but in the case of FB it sometimes seems warranted.
Is there anyway to use security sanctioned video chat software on FB or is the only option to download their offering and then pull the drawbridge back up?

  • Video Call between 2 IP Network

    Hello,
I want to establish Video Calls between 2 independant IP Telephony network, one with a CUCM 6.1, amd the other one with A Call manager system. I have a Cisco 2811 on the Call Manager side, who have a IP Public adress.
The Voice Call is working with a H323 Trunk between the Call Manager Express, who have a public Ip adress too, and the Cisco 2811.
The Video Call is not working. I Have put the IOS to configure this 2811 as a Border Element (CUBE), put I don't have any licenses?
Is it necessary to have this licenses to function the Video Calls?
Is there some special commands to perform the video call?
Thanks in advance for your help?
    Regards,

    Hi,
I've tried to use a CCME and a CUCM6 using H323 trunk, inside a LAN (1000Mbps) but there is no video.
The option "Retry Video Call as Audio " is ON
    Video Capabilities is Enabled
In the Region configuration of the CCM6, the video bandwitdh is 384.
But there is no video, just voice only.
    ====
In the CCME, the conf is :
    dial-peer voice 201 voip
    destination-pattern 8...
    video codec h263+
    session target ipv4:192.168.0.6
    dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric
    codec g711ulaw

Can you explain the reason why there is no video?
