Aloha -
I downloaded the Linux 8051EE for Linux and my
installation hangs on the copy of tnsping off
of the CDROM I made. I took the original tar I
downloaded and made two seperate CDS and they
both hang in the same place.
Anyone else experience this?
I am desperately seeking Oracle for Linux up to
date but Oracle won't send me the CD and the
Technet download fails.

the JNLS exception is a known bug. it can be ignored and the dbassist utility will work as best can be expected. as a tip, if you are not using OFA, at the end of the dbassist process - don't select the option to create a database straight away - choose the option to save it all as scripts. then check through those before you make your database with them.

ITunes 11.1.3 download fails to install for Windows XP
Currently have iTunes 11.1.2.32 installed on a Windows XP SP3 PC. Control Panel lists version as 11.1.1.?. After downloading 11.1.3 install fails because "older version can't be removed". Uninstall of older version from Control Panel also fails.
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
My CS6 download fails to install. I run windows 7
When I download the trial CS6 photoshop the download is OK but the installation fails at the end of the progress bar..

Flash Player download fails to install at c:\WINDOWS\system32\macromed\flas
Up until a few months ago flashplayer worked perfectly fine! Now, it seems like every site I go to asks me to download it. Everything goes fine when I click on download and a box pops up to "install". When I click on install, it starts install and stops every time on "registering: c:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\Flash10b.ocx"
At this point I get the error message that tells me to go to adobe support and I have followed all of their instructions including uninstalling, downloading some SubInAcl thingy and another zip file and all that, I've reset my security settings, etc. etc. I've emailed microsoft and adobe and haven't gotten anywhere with that. Tonight I tried what the lady did with pasting that file onto my desktop and that didn't help me. I also tried going into IE via safe mode and that didn't help.
Anyone else have a suggestion???

What does your Control Panel / Programs & Features say is installed?

10.4.4 Download fails to install!
Hello All,
As a long time Mac user I have always had help available (at work) when problems arose. Now retired, these resources are not available. I recently installed Tiger (which I bought from the Apple reseller store) on my G4 iMac (previously running OS 10.1.5). The installation went smoothly, and everything seems to work well. When the software updater indicated that updates were available, I downloaded the ‘combo 10.4.4’ along with other recommended updates (iTune update, Java Update). After 10 hours or so of downloading (dialup) there was a message which said something like there were problems during the download. Upon restarting, the OS 10.4.4 update did not install but the other updates did.
All I can find from “About this Mac” and the Profiler is that I am running OS 10.4 . There is no .1 or anything else after .4 . Tiger was shipped 6/23/2005
My Questions are:
1. Since I know the updates downloaded, what could have happened to the 10.4.4 update data when I restarted?
2. Should I download and install the OS 10.4.3 update?
3. What Tiger am I running?

First, run Disk Utility repair disk to be sure you have no disk issues.
Repair Disk:
Steps for using Disk Utility
1. Insert your Mac OS X CD-ROM disc or Restore DVD disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key until you see the spinning gear..
2. Once started up from CD or DVD, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu.
Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from disc to access Disk Utility.
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume, if necessary.
6. Click Repair.
If you repair errors run it until no errors found.
Then download and run the 10.4.4 Stand Alone Combo Update again.
You may want to grab a blank dvd and borrow a broadband connection or go to an Apple Store.
This is a full install, as opposed to an incremental "delta" update so it should overwrite any files that are damaged or missing. It does not matter that you have applied it before. It has worked well for many.

If you laptop works well, don't update it. If not, don't use HP Support Assistant or any other program for updating/downloading the BIOS!! Download it:

Pgms requiring Adobe AIR won't work. Update download fails.

This can happen when the installer's certificate has expired and there's no time stamp in the signatures.xml file. Using the link above, please verify if the .air file has the right information and report back here. I see the time stamp in my install but I still get the same error message. I want to see if this problem is more widespread. -

HP downloaded printer software fails to install
Anything that I print (to my HP Photosmart 6520 Printer) on 4x6 photo paper (from my HP computer with 64 bit Windows 7) are printed approx. 1/2 inch off-center.
I downloaded the following update hoping that it would correct the problem.
HPCOM_292008_HPPS_6520_x64_000_003.exe
The update would not proceed but gave me the following message:
1. Check that your device is:
- Connected to your computer (It was)
- Powered on (It was)
- Not in an error state (It was not in an error state)
2. Clear any error states (There were none)
3. Click Start Again

Welcome to the HP Forums! I see that, your HP Photosmart c4380 software is failing to install on Windows 7. I am
happy to help you with this issue! I have a couple of questions for you:
Can you make copies with the printer?
Is the power cable plugged directly into the wall, or a surge protector? Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
In the meantime, I would try uninstalling the software, and then re-installing again, using the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows.

When I updated to iOS 8.1 on my iPad 2 it failed when installing it's in recovery mode and when I go to iTunes to restore it downloads the update to about 900 Mbps then gives me error 9006

I bought a new iMac 27" yesterday, running with Mavericks OS. Attempting to download Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium. Loaded software from discs. When I check for updates they fail to install. A window comes up saying "Some updates failed to install." Then under each applications it says "There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later." Have done this several times. Suggestions?

Adobe Application Manager fails to install when I try to download CC
I have tried to download CC but keep getting the error messate that Adobe Application Manager fails to install. How can I download CC?
For Windows 8, 64-bit,
I Renamed OOBE to OOBE_old located at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
I then relaunched the Browser
I went to https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
I Signed in with Adobe ID and password.
I clicked on the download button but absolutely nothing was happening.

I hope this bug will be fixed promptly because all my CC applications are now paid for a while and not yet presently accessible and useable.
I feel, in all fairness, until the problem is fixed, Adobe should provide a credit.

For many weeks now, my iTunes has failed to update. I download the updates and they go through the installation process, but then I get an error message that they failed to install. How can I update?
Wild guess but if your WinXP system has formatted your drive(s) as FAT32 then the maximum file size is 4GB. Could be that the download in 1080p is >4GB? (if formatted NTFS then this should not be a problem).
Again just a guess with iTunes on WinXP but something easy to check first. -
I mistakenly deleted the fifa13 waiting icon while I was downloading the game via iTunes on my PC after full download the game keep failing to install on ipad2 via iTunes. Please help me out with alternative.
I'm afraid that after all the manipulations your system is so messed up that a regular Skype installation is no longer possible.
Try this:
Download but not run this msi-installer for Skype 6.9.0.106 version:
http://download.skype.com/msi/SkypeSetup_6.9.0.106.msi
Create a folder on your computer where you want Skype application to be located. This folder can also be C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\, but any other location will work too.
Now using the procedure described here:

extract Skype.exe file from the SkypeSetup_6.9.0.106.msi file and copy this Skype.exe file to the selected installation folder.
Right click on the Skype.exe file and select: Send to – Desktop (create shortcut). You will have to start Skype using this new shortcut.
