8.1.6 and designer 6i post install problem - please help

Hello all,
I installed designer following the install guide extremely closely. The install went off without a hitch. However, when I try to create and ERD, or any diagram, I receive this error:

I'm fairly new to Oracle but I did have designer 6.0 working on 8.1.5.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

The same happened to me. It turns out that it had something to do with old windows registry entries that let the repository install program know that I had designer 6.0 previously installed on my system. The install apparently isn't wise enough to know that it is installing 6i. It checks the registry for the first Designer version identified and decides what repository components you need based on that. 6i uses the standard repository components (6.0 versions) and some new stuff.
If you read your install documentation carefully (Chapter 2, Step 14, Item 2), you will note that you need to select two components to install. If the repository
admin utility is <prior-version-aware> it neglect to even display one of those options and its easy to blow right past that screen without realizing something is amiss (that's what I did ;-P ).

Anyway .. This error means that the given ResultSet column index which you're trying to retrieve the value from is out of the range.

TIGER/POWERBOOK 12" G4 - erase and install problems. please help..

I have a powerbook g4 (the last of the powerbook 12"/ 80gb/1.5ghz to be released) with tiger installed.
I have had a a crash x 2 when doing software updates. So I managed to get it going, to then back up to an external drive - to do an erase and install.
Once I went to do the erase and install it failed, so I tried again and it seems to have done the erase. now my actual HD isn't visible as the select detination to install?
So, I can't actually even attempt to install with no destination.
any help would be most appreciated.

Unfortunately, it seems as if your HDD has failed. Try booting from the install disk, the go to the Utilities menu and launch Disk Utility. If the HDD shows up in the sidebar, you should reformat it. (Directions below). If it does not show up, you need to replace the HDD. Post back for a list of available HDDs and vendors, step by step directions and additional tips.
If your HDD shows up follow these directions to reformat and erase:
Formatting, Partitioning Erasing a Hard Disk Drive
Warning! This procedure will destroy all data on your Hard Disk Drive. Be sure you have an up-to-date, tested backup of at least your Users folder and any third party applications you do not want to re-install before attempting this procedure.
Boot from the install CD holding down the "C" key.
Select language
• Go to the Utilities menu (Tiger) Installer menu (Panther & earlier) and launch Disk Utility.
• Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in left side bar.
• Select Partition tab in main panel. (You are about to create a single partition volume.)
• Click on Options button
• Select Apple Partition Map (PPC Macs) or GUID Partition Table (Intel Macs)
• Click OK
• Select number of partition in pull-down menu above Volume diagram.
(Note 1: One partition is normally preferable for an internal HDD.)
• Type in name in Name field (usually Macintosh HD)
• Select Volume Format as Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
• Click Partition button at bottom of panel.
• Select Erase tab
• Select the sub-volume (indented) under Manufacturer ID (usually Macintosh HD).
• Check to be sure your Volume Name and Volume Format are correct.
• Click Erase button
• Quit Disk Utility.
If you are able to do the reformat and erase, you can then proceed to restore from your backup, or to install the OS from disk.
Please do post back with an update on how it goes, and with further questions or comments, if any.

Very Strange Logic Studio Installing Problem, please help !

Hello .
I wanted to install Logic Studio 9 on a brand new imac and somehow installation was failed .
Than i erased what ever i could which was left from the failed installation .
And now i am trying to reinstall, but this time Installation is not asking me Audio Content 1, 2 and 3
And also after Jam Pack 1, instead of continuing to 2 and 3, is asking to put install disk , and after that point installation getting failed again .
So far what i erased after failure was (only the ones i could find out of this list )

But what ever i tried, gives no solution . At the end a fail .
How can i wipe out all the Logic existence from my computer to make new install ?
Or, what is this problem i am having? As installation is not asking some discs which is necessary for the setup anymore .

it is very frustrating to see such an installation problem happening from a "professional" called DAW .
I am actually a Protools user , and i have never had this type of complications .
I mean come on, i am just trying to install the thing .
On a new system, on a new computer and from an original purchase .
I believe i have enough computer knowledge to instal a simple software .
But i am spending almost 10 hours since yesterday to install Logic .
Instead of making designer boxes or giving fancy advertisements, i am inviting Apple Engineers to create proper working software .
Especially to see a professional audio software like Logic in this epic fall, is very very bad .
I mean you can say i am problematic and don't know how to instal a simple software, but than please write to google, Logic installation problems , and you will see thousands of issues .
Whatever i am writing here not against to the people who are replying and want to help , i just want Apple to read this .

I am unable to access my emails since last update talk talk have checked thier end and say mozilla is the problem please help. I am able to log on to web mail but unable to go any further, what do i do?

Talk talk support has gone through everything with me and says all ok there end they can access my emails and says my mozilla browser is corrupted. What do I do?

Apparently TalkTalk mail will work with Firefox 4 and Firefox 5 ''if'' you set the browser to ''lie'' to TalkTalk mail by saying that you are still using version 3.6.

Note: when you open about:config the first time, it will display a warning message that you should be careful with the changes you make. That's definitely good to bear in mind.

hi guys i recently bought a new laptop and when i try to install itunes 9.2 or higher it shows an error.
error writing to file: C:\program files (x86)\commonfiles\apple\mobile device support\ssleay32.dll. verify that you have access to that directory.
i really need itunes because i recently bought an ipod touch and i cant sync it to get any songs

That's consistent with disk/file damage, tame.
Let's try running a disk check over your C drive. There's Windows 7 instructions in the following document. Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.

Does the disk check find/repair any damage? If so, try another iTunes install. Does the install go through without the error this time?

Zend studio 8.0 and flex 4 plugin integration problem(please help!)

hello every body, actually i have installed Zend Studio 8.0 is built on Helios( which is currently the latest one) and trying to integrate flash builder 4(flex 4) plugin, but when i point to (C:\Program Files\Zend\Zend Studio - 8.0.0) folder the flex installer warns me since there is no folder named "dropins" in Zend Studio - 8.0.0 directory . even if i ignore the warning from flex plugin installation and continue to finish and at the end when i start zend studio no flex plugin is detected.please can any one help me in this regard. i will grately appreciate a help from the adobe team and community.

The right-hand side is evaulated completely before the assignment to y is done. In fact, in ALL java assignment statements, the RHS is evaluated completely before assigning anything to the LHS.

EMU 1820m install problem please help me I'm going crazy

I've brought the EMU 1820m two days ago and for two days now I've been looking everywhere for an answer.
So I plugged the card in the computer, I turn the power on and... Windows doesn't detect the card. I look on the net and apparently it's because I have to delete the previous sound card in the bios and desinstall them. OK. I do it.
I reboot again and again and windows still doen't recognize it. Nothing. It's plugged but windows doesn't see anything.I look on the net for various solutions: trying a different PCI slot, changing where it's plugged to the power supply, nothing...
I was so excited to buy this card and now the disappointment is even greater...... Can anybody help me???

Windows doesn't detect anything... It's not listed in the device manager... I will try to find another computer to see if it works...
By the way, the power supply cable has three plugs, one for the card, one for the power supply and one for the hard drive (if you don't have any cable left on the power supply)... Where do I plug it on the hard drive? I'm trying everything, I'm desesperate....

Z97M Gaming windows 7 installing problem, please help

hi everyone. I hope someone could help me. This is my setup I just built:
MSI Z97M Gaming (latest bios updated, v1.4)
Intel Core I5 4690S Cpu
2 sticks of Gskill DDR3 (2x4GB) 2400Mhz
Nvidia 970GTX 4GB PCIE video card
Samsung EVO 840 - 250GB SSD (latest firmware updated)
Corsair 750W PSU
And this is the problem: when i boot (from USB) Windows 7 SP1 setup, it runs fine until it asks me for a driver (which is missing) in order to proceed with installation. I suppose it's SATA driver, so I've copied last version of Asmedia SATA driver in my usb key. But when i point to it, windows setup says that no driver has been found! So it doesn't show the ssd and I can't proceed with setup. I've tried every subfolder of the "asmedia_sata_win78" main folder.
Also, I set LEGACY+UEFI mode in bios. I've also tried IDE mode for the sata controller, but nothing works
Any suggestion, please? Sorry for the bad english

do you have any other storage to try say standard HDD? to try it instead this SSD

since its unclear is it 32bit or 64bit and since accept 32bit drivers only

At first, it can be difficult to determine which version of Numbers you are using. The user interfaces are different, but if you are new to the apps you may think you are using the new version when if fact you have launched the older version. Make sure you are using Version 3.x. Then you won't get the message that you need a newer version.
Use Spotlight to launch Numbers. After typing Numbers into the search field, pick the result that says "Numbers -- Applications".
