8 Bit issue and error's that are really ******* me off

So. We are transporting files from older macs to newer macs and we are getting 8 bit format errors. It basically corrupts the data and we have no clue how to fix this. here is the timeline
We have a band and we started recording music into garage band using perfect recording equipment on saturday the 17th of july.
Later on Tuesday the 20th, a CD got stuck in the disk drive of our bassist's mac (2 year old macbook [black and silver]). So, since we saved everything onto flash drives we were able to continue. using our guitarist's brothers new macbook pro. After a few days our guitarist's brother got ****** and wanted his macbook back. So on Thursday the 23rd we started using a 4 year old macbook (white) and did a lot of recording on it until the 24th of july, and then the original 2 year old mac book came back on the 24th. then 2 hours into the use, we went to put a software disk to install a external disk burner, and the software disk got stuck inside the mac. so our bassist was in a panic to give the mac back to future shop. and then we used the new macbook pro for a day then the 4 year old mac book came back into our hands until friday the 30th. Then we have been using the new macbook scince and for some reason we can't get the songs on and its ******* us off because we spent a lot of money to do recording and now we cant do half the songs cuz they dont work!!!! It's ******* us off.
what can we do?

Are you using Garageband 09 on all the Macs?
Maybe you guys should use a windows machine.

First, I would avoid listening to NBC as a source for tech news. They've proven that they are not a responsible source for that kind of thing. See:

Second, the SSL issue is solved by upgrading to iOS 7.0.6, as Allan points out. Plug in your phone, open the Settings app and go to General, then Software Update. Download and install the update from there. You can also download it on your computer, in iTunes, and install through sync, but that download will be larger, since it's not specific to your device.
Finally, note that you still cannot trust e-mail... anything you put in an e-mail might as well be put on a postcard. SSL encryption only protects the transmission of username and password, when it comes to e-mail... the contents of the messages sent and received are not encrypted, and can be read (or even modified) by anyone between you and the sender/recipient. The only way to protect your e-mail is through some kind of signing and encryption, such as S/MIME.

SUMMARY
Hyperlinks to XLS, DOC, and PDF files that are included in a
.chm file (and the Baggage Files) only work intermittently. The
only solution appears to be deleting the Temporary Internet Files.
PROBLEM
1. I place the XLS, DOC, or PDF file in the Windows
sub-directory that corresponds to the RoboHelp project sub-folder
where the topic in which I’ll place the hyperlink exists.
2. I open the help project in RoboHelp HTML.
3. I right-click on the project’s Baggage Files
sub-folder that corresponds to the Windows sub-directory in which I
placed the XLS, DOC, or PDF file (in step 1).
4. I import the XLS, DOC, or PDF file.
5. I open the topic in which I’m going to place the
hyperlink in the WYSIWYG editor.
6. I “drag and drop” the Baggage File into the
topic (in the WYSIWYG editor) to create a link to it.
7. I save the changes and then generate HTML (.chm) help.
8. I open the .chm file and click the hyperlink. The XLS,
DOC, or PDF file may or may not open.
9. When the hyperlink works correctly, for DOC and XLS files,
a “File Download – Security Warning” dialog box
appears asking, “Do you want to open or save this
file?”. The buttons that are available are
“Open”, “Save”, and “Cancel”.
These buttons work then as one would expect. (When the hyperlink
works correctly for a PDF file, it simply opens the PDF file in a
new window; there’s no prompt to save, open, or cancel.)
10. When a hyperlink does NOT work, for DOC, XLS, and PDF
files, no dialog box or other visual message is displayed. Instead,
the sound that is associated with the “Exclamation”
program event is played (the “Windows XP
Exclamation.wav” file is the WinXP default).
Other Notes:
- The hyperlinks ALWAYS work when I view a topic using the
“View Selected Item” function (Ctrl+W) in the RoboHelp
HTML project.
- Once a hyperlink stops working, it will not start working
again until I delete all the Temporary Internet Files.
- A hyperlink will stop working even if Internet Explorer
(iexplore.exe) is closed the entire time.
WORKAROUND
Through trial and error, I have discovered that if a
hyperlink stops working, I can get it to work again using the
following steps:
1. Leave the .chm file open.
2. Open Internet Explorer.
3. Click Tools>Internet Options….
4. From the “Internet Options” dialog box, select
the “General” tab.
5. Under the “Temporary Internet Files” section,
click the “Delete Files…” button.
6. From the “Delete Files” dialog box, select
“Delete all offline content” and then click
“OK”. The files are deleted and the “Delete
Files” dialog box closes.
7. Click “OK” to close the “Internet
Options” dialog box.
8. Without closing Internet Explorer and without re-starting
the .chm file, all the hyperlinks that didn’t work before
will now work.

- “Check for newer versions of stored pages” is
set to “Automatically”
- “Current location” for the Temporary Internet
files folder is set to “C:\Documents and Settings\My
Username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\”
- “Amount of disk space to use” is set to
“594” MB
“View Files…”
- An XLS or DOC file will be listed here if I click its
hyperlink and then click either “Open” or
“Save” from the “File Download – Security
Warning” dialog box.
- A file will appear here even if I click “Save”
and then click “Cancel” from the subsequent “Save
As” dialog box.
- If I click “Cancel” from the “File
Download – Security Warning” dialog box, the file does
not appear in the Temporary Internet Files folder.
- When a file does appear in the Temporary Internet Files
folder, its Internet Address is displayed similar to the following:

You wont be able to do that. The embedded objects would appear as images only.

You may have to try a general OS X troubleshooting process to see if the issue goes away by doing this...
Have you tried: starting the computer in SafeBoot mode, with shift key held down; a login screen should appear after a time, and then the regular desktop. At this point, locate Disk Utility in utilities folder, and run 'repair disk permissions' on the startup volume, usually the name given the hard disk drive as it appears on desktop. After Disk Utility is finished the permissions repair, restart the computer normally.
...The iTunes player has free support only through the duration of the hardware product's complementary or AppleCare extended plan coverages, so though you can download a newer version, that is not the same as free support for an issue. However, the iTunes Store or App Store has a different factor for their product.

There is an iTunes area in Apple Support Community discussions for more topics like this; except for when they involve a hardware product where an OS X is involved. If your computer is NOT a powerPC (an 'intel'-mac) the topic would more naturally need to be posted where that hardware and later supported OS X version topics get seen. So that is why one asks 'on what Mac running what version...' instead of writing four paragraphs in a wide angle reply. The details about your iMac and the OS X say more; without them, more questions arise.

Could you provide me with a model and product number of your notebook.
So that I may look into this further to try and provide you with more helpful instructions.
Also, this Document should help you out. If it doesn't let me know the full model name and i will find a document for your notebook.
What i consider doing is the section that says "Reinstalling the original webcam program that came with your computer".

Repair the Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard Console). However, worry about losing users and groups that be created by Windows SBS Console. As far as I know, those will not lose.
Since, when you create users and groups via SBS console, those are added to Activity Directory.
The SBS console is a GUI component, which makes it easy to configure and manage your Windows SBS 2011 Standard network. When you repair the SBS console, this component will be affected.
In view of your concerns, please back up before operation. It will help us to avoid some unexpected

You can delete the backup without any problem. Only the backup will be deleted from iCloud and nothing else will be deleted, so you can do it without worrying about losing data on iCloud or your devices

For listing the months, you can use a number, a 3 character string, or the full name.
For the export value, the full name, the 3 character value, the 1-2 number, or the 0-11 JavaScript value.
I would look at deciding how you want to populate the drop down box and build a one page form with just this field. You can then insert that page into a PDF and copy the field as needed and then delete the inserted page. Or you could create an FDF file to create the drop down box.

The CC Cleaner Tool assumes the Akamai Download Manager is activated and it has not. My area of interest is in business and economic history. There is a considerable amount of reading and charting. Until the iPad hit the streets, I only considered stacks of books, journals, and downloaded documents, all marked up with highlighters, underlines, and marginal notes.
Most of my PC based work involved MS Office, Endnote, and MS OneNote.
What I would like to do with the iPad and MacBook are the same things (Office, Endnote, OneNote) and add the ability to read and markup all forms of printed materials from books to pdf to webpages.
I cut my teeth on an iPod Touch and have tried a lot of the note taking and reading apps. Without a camera the standard iPod Notes works for short quick notes and long think pieces. I just emailed the content and downloaded the stuff to my PC. Obviously, I do not want to continue at this "non-integrated" level of work.

You won't be able to view or send pictures from there however. Backups are stored in iCloud but all you can do with them is restore them to a device.
