8520 Update problems - going round in circles!

Hi everyone!
I am hoping someone can help.
I've been trying to sync my BB Curve 8520 with my laptop for the last few days and nothing is happening. I have update the desktop manager to the newest version, I plug in my phone and still nothing, the desktop is saying the phone is disconnected.  I have tried to go through the BB website and check for updates.  Again it says connect phone, I do this and nothing happens.
I have really been going round in circles.  T-mobile have told me to take it to the shop but unfortunately we do not have T-mobile in NI.
Can anybody help?

Hi and welcome.
Is the BB turned on when you connect it?
On the laptop, when you go to my computer with the BB connected, does it show in the list of drives?
Are you using the USB data cable that came with the BB when it was brand new? Some cables are to charge the battery only and not for data, so if this was the case the computer will not be able to "see" the BB.

    Are you using a Mac or PC?  If it's a PC, have you tried changing the iPod's drive letter or plugging the iPod into a different high powered USB 2.0 port?

  • Time Capsule With Windows 7 Please Help Going Round in Circles!

    have just got a 1Tb time capsule for Xmas. I have a 13" Macbook unibody and have installed the time machine and airport utility through this, thinking apple computer + apple time capsule will be easier. All went well and the Macbook sees the Drive and has backed itself up nicely. So very pleased.
    Then the problem i have a windows 7 machine and went off and installed the airport utility on the machine. All went fine, but i cant see the HDD, i can see it in network places but all i can do is read it, i can't write to it from my windows machine. Have looked at loads of posts about mapping drives making sure latest firmware (7.5) etc but am totally lost as i read so many different things that i just ended up going round in circles!
    What i wanted to do was put all my media, documents and pics on the TC and allow both machines to share from it and use it. But no matter what i try it seems i can only write to it from the mac. I have seen in the airport utility on the windows machine under disks (after selecting manual setup)> file sharing that the secure shared disks is set to "with device password", now i have the passwords, i just cant seem to see where i can see that drive in windows and where to enter the password!!! Should that be set to something else? File sharing is enabled.I assumed once i had installed the airport utility on the windows machine the HDD would just pop up in my computer or something like it popped up easily on the mac! Or am i being stupid and it doesnt work like that?
    The windows machine is connected via ethernet and the mac is wireless.
    Please can someone help as its driving me mad and i just cant seem to figure it out. Am not that computer savvy when it comes to things like this and am probably missing something really stupid but you know what its like when you have stared at something for hours. Any help would be most appreciated or SIMPLE guide or something

    Just an update to the above i can now no longer see the time capsule in network places!! All i have done is retstarted!!! I can still see the time capsule from my mac and access it!!!

    Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPhone wanting to continually restore.  I found an article with steps to address the issue you described:
    Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)
    Troubleshoot your USB connection. If the issue persists, out-of-date or incorrectly configured third-party security software may be causing this issue. Please try to troubleshoot security software issues.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Unfortunately, OSX 10.6.8 will not support iCloud. You can use the mail address from the iCloud account with Snow Leopard bot not the rest of the iCloud features. You can access then via the web browser though at iCloud.com.
    To set up iCloud mail.
    Delete your mail account from Mail preferences and set it up again using the Mail Server Information.
    Some users have apparently encountered issues using this information in pre-Lion set ups (I haven't), Roger Wilmut has kindly provided instructions for those who find themselves with this problem.

  • Can't cancel my subscription. Keep going round in circles and no way to contact people

    I have been trying to cancel my subscription for over four hours but keep going round in circles, the hyperlink takes me back to the pages I have viewed already. i have been unable to contact anyone as it says that the Chat line if off line and the office is closed so I can't ring. I want to cancel immediately but when I click the cancel subscription pop up it gives me hyperlink but no options to cancel. Help this is driving me crazy, why can't I simply cancel my subscription????? The help section hasn't been of any help the solution they give as that they say should be there isn't!

  • Disk drive is going round in circles and wont mount! Please help!

    I've had my macbook for a about 5-6 years... and i've only just got around to FINALLY installing snow leopard.
    The only problem is my disk drive won't mount the disk, and is having a very hard time ejecting it. Just seems to be going round in circles!!
    Is there anyone can can offer any wise words of wisdom that isn't 'You need a new one!'

    Do you know that the optical drive works? Have you used it recently?
    To eject the CD, try restarting the computer and when you hear the chime hold the mouse button (track pad) down.

    Perhaps that email you're waiting for was blocked as spam or is in your junk folder.  Something like that.

  • BrowserLab login NOT WORKING CORRECTLY - going round in circles

    Hi, I tried, as normal to log into Browser Lab and got the new "sign into CS Live and CS5" thingy, which then sent me round in a big CIRCLE. Ending up with not getting onto Browser Lab, but being asked again if I want to sign up for CS Live. Have I broken it?

    I can't get into BrowserLab either.  I've used it several times since getting CS5, but over the past week or two, every time I try I just get the loading bar.
    In Safari, I can't even get to the landing page--i.e. the one with the big red "Try BrowserLab" button (http://www.adobe.com/go/browserlab_cslive).  That gives me the same fullscreen gray page with the loading bar in the middle.  Oddly, there doesn't seem to be an option on the Adobe site to log out and then log back in so I can retrace my steps through the sign-up process as you suggest.  In Firefox, the landing page appears, but when I click "Try BrowserLab" I get the same loading bar, taunting me.
    In Dreamweaver, I click the CS Live button up top and it tells me "The application is not connected to the internet."  Is there a particular way I need to connect Dreamweaver to use CS Live/BrowserLab?  I connect using FTP just fine and upload/download files all day.  Don't use a proxy.
    Looking forward to using CS Live once again.  It was a cool feature, the few times I was able to use it.

    when you buy a sim locked phone you don't pay the full price of the phone
    the carrrier pay most of the price because you haveing your phone locked to their network for a period of time make it possible for them to make up for the loss of them paying most of the price of the phone
    if the phone manufactor went back on their sim lock and sold unlocks on the side they would be in violation of that agreement between the phone manufactor and the carrier and would be sued for alot! of money

    Neither MS2 or MS 3 are "compatable" with GB: the majority of the patches use the synth and FX plugs that are built in to MS and not available in any other program.
    That said, you should be able to use the Sampler files that are included with the JamPack content.
