8600 multiple page scan

I have an 8600.  If I can multiple pages it scans each page as a separate file.  If I click on the "combine into a single document", then it keeps adding pages to every scan I have done previously and keeps building that file.
How do I start over and just scan the current multiple document scan into it's on single combined document.

Hi,
There is a small plus (+) sign which allows you to add page-by-page to a document then save
Hope this helps.

I see that you are experiencing issues scanning multiple pages to one file, since updating to Windows 8.1.

Did you uninstall the old software and reinstall the latest drivers?
Here is the link for newest drivers. HP Photosmart Full Feature Software and Drivers.
Here is a document for scanning, that you may want to take a look at.

  • Can't set Multiple Pages scan by default

I'm trying to set the default  scan  mode for Flatbed scanning to Multiple pages by default.
In the one-time settings screen, I can do this by selecting Scan Resolution, then Multiple pages, but this doesn't stick and I have to do it every single time I want to perform a double-sided scan.
Is there any way to get this to happen? If I don't want multiple pages I just press the Done button instead of Ok, and all is good, so I'd rather have this be the default on this particular printer.

I think you'll get the best answer in the LiveCycle Designer forum:

  • Officejet 6500 e709a fails during multiple page scans

I have an Officejet 6500 e709a that I've used for years. I'm running Windows 8.1 64 bit. Today it stopped scanning in the middle of a multi-page document and gave me this error code, 8, [(4, 0, -2147023170)]. It will scan one page with no problem, but after 3 to 5 pages I get the error.
I restarted the program, restarted my computer and uninstalled/reinstalled HP Solutions Center. Nothing worked.
    Any ideas?

    Welcome to the forums Christopher!
I read your post about the scanning problem you are now having with your Officejet 6500 model. I would first suggest running the Print and Scan Doctor and recycle your network devices, if you have the printer connected wireless or ethernet. If you have the printer connected USB, try a power reset.
    Power cycling the network devices:
Turn off the printer and computer and unplug the router for 1 minute (do not press any buttons on the router).
Plug the router back in and wait another minute, next turn on the printer and computer.
    Power reset:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Ensure the printer is plugged in directly to the wall outlet, avoiding power bars and surge protectors. This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help greatly.
Please let me know the results!
    Have a great day

  • Scanning multiple pages to one file

I have a C310a All in One printer/scanner.  My computer uses OS X 10.9 and all the drivers are updated.  Is there a way to scan multiple pages to one file.  I have tried the three methods mentioned in the HP bulletin for Mavericks but I can only scan one page to one file extension.

Welcome to the forums @BPGeneva ,
I understand you are looking to do a multiple page scan and save it as one file. I will do my best to help! The full driver for the C310a is not available with Mavericks. In having said that,  you can try using Image Capture to scan multi-page documents.
Click this link and have a look at PrintDoc's suggestion: Re: Scanning multiple pages into one file using MAC

    Hi @panduke,
I understand that you would like to be able to email a multiple page scan. I can help you today.
I don't have access to the Cue 13 software that you are using, so I will provide a couple of ways to be able to check the setting for creating a separate file for each scanned page or not. If these steps don't match the software that you are using, please provide a screen shot of the software.
Most likely these steps are similar to your software. Cue 14 software.
Open the HP Solutions Center software for scanning, click on the Change Settings button, click the Advanced Picture Settings button, check Scan multiple photos to a individual file. Press OK.
    Lite v22 software.
In the HP Solutions Center software for scanning, click the link Advanced Settings, click on the File tab.
Uncheck Create a separate file for each scanned page.
    Press OK.
    Have a nice day!

  • Scan and collate multiple pages to one document with hp8630

How do I scan, collate and save a multiple page document into one pdf document utilizing an HP8630? Thank you.

Hi , I understand that you would like to know how to scan and collate multiple documents into one file. I would be happy to help you.
If you are using Windows, please try the following steps: From the HP Scan software, select Advanced Settings, click on the File tab and uncheck Create a separate file for each scanned image, this will allow multiple page scans to save to one file.    If you are using a Mac, try the following: From the Preview Software, once you have the scanned image, select PDF and check combine into single document below. From the Print and Scan window, select PDF and check combine into single document below. What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.Mac OS X: How Do I Find Which Mac OS X Version Is on My Computer? If you appreciate my efforts, please click the 'Thumbs up' button below. • Multi-page scanning to one file

Scanner will not allow multiple page scans to one file from the glass.  A checkbox exists in advanced settings to create a separate file for each scan if checked.  However if left unchecked there is no button ("+", "add", "continue", etc.) on the screen to add more scanned pages to the file.  The checkbox makes no difference in advanced settings on the "file" tab.

Hi, Yes, it has              Please scan from the printer software (ie from your computer). Regards.

  • Scanning multiple pages into one document

I have an HP8600 running off a MacBook Pro  - I used to be able to scan multiple pages (both from the auto feed and manually) save them as one document.  Lately though it is saving them each as its own document.  This is happening with both MacBooks connected to my printer.  Thanks

    Hi DCompass,
Thanks again for trying that for me. Definitely odd that you are not seeing the drop-down. If you don't see Contents, do you see .PDF? Once it is in a .PDF format you should be able to combine into a single-file. From what I have tried.
If not, then I would recommend to do the following one more time:
Uninstall the software. Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Re-install the software using the download from this website. HP Officejet Pro 8600 series Full Feature Software and Drivers.
Make sure your Mac is up-to-date. About the OS X Mavericks v10.9.5 Update.
Hope this clears things up for you, please let me know if you have any further issues!

  • SCANNING MULTIPLE PAGES TO SINGLE DOCUMENT ON 8620 FLAT GLASS

Does the HP Officejet Pro 8620 have the capability to scan multiple pages into a single document using the flat glass and not the auto feeder?
Use this when I want to scan a package or any item that won't fit through the auto feeder.
My Officejet Pro 8600 at work does by using a promptor after each page scannned that asks if there are more pages remaining to scan to same document.
If the answer is no, do I have to return my 8620 and purchase an 8600?
    Jackimo

    Hi Jackimo,
A such can be done by launching the scan from the HP software on your PC.
Open the HP Officejet 8620 software and clcik on Scan a Document or Photo.
Select the PDF option, ensure the scan resolution is  set as 300 or below and the Scan Source is set as Flatbed Glass.
As well ensure the Show Scan Preview option is checked and click on Scan.
Use the Plus button below the scan preview to scan additional pages from the glass, click on Save once you are done.

  • Scanning multiple pages to single file

I have the HP Officejet Pro 8600.  I use to be able to scan multiple pages to one file.  For some reason now it separates the pages into single files.  Under advanced settings it looks like the option "create a separate file for each scanned page" is checked, however, it is not highlighted so I can't change it or uncheck it.

    KB-Sales,
    Welcome to the HP Forum.
Assuming a recent Windows Operating System and that you install the Full Feature Software (printer software), then you may use the Printer Assistant shortcut to access Scan Document or Photo.
From there, you may be able to use / create a Scan Template to combine files to output to a final, single file.
The following Dragon Document may help:

Note the hint about creating your own Shortcut / Template in the instructions.

  • How to scan multiple pages in one file

I would like to know how to scan multiple pages into one file.  There is no add button that comes up.  I have a HP Officejet 8600 and a macbook pro.  Please help, this would really help me out.

Open Preview and use its "Import From Scanner" option in the File menu. This will launch the scanning interface, which has some standard and basic scanning controls. If you choose "PDF" as the file format to save as, then you will see an option to scan all images to one file. When you do this, you will scan and edit them individually, but Preview will save them to the same file when saved.

  • How can I scan multiple pages from the ADF to one pdf file?

I wirelessly scan double-sided multiple-page documents, typically 37 pages, using an ADF (Automatic Document Feeder) from my HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911g to my MacBook Pro. The scanner works fine except it tries to save the files as 37 separate files and either it or the MacBook runs out of memory as it turns it into a massive file, 300mb or so. How can I get it to just scan it as one file? I have the quality setting at 300dpi.

    Hello again webbo51,
Thanks for the information I requested.
I am going to add a screen shot of what you should be seeing when scanning with the HP software.
You must have PDF selected to be able to scan a multiple page document into one folder.
Once you select PDF, you will see the option to Save as one file.
Please feel free to write me back if you have any other questions.
    Thanks again for your time.

  • Multi page scanning on Officejet Pro 8600 with flatbed

I had to replace a 6400 series HP multi process with a HP Officejet Pro 8600. With the old software it would ask if there were any more pages when using the flatbed scan option. I can't figure out how to do this using the new software and it automatically creats the file after 1 page. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi,You may scan multiple pages from the Flatbed glass by using the HP Scan software. Open the HP Officejet Pro 8600 software and click the Scan a document or photo option.Select PDF, ensure the Show Preview box is checked and the resolution being set as 300 dpi or below. Click an Scan and use the Add Pages button to add additional pages. Shlomi
