A DVD burnt on a G5 is not being read by the same G5

Hi,
I'm encountering a strange problem that doesn't seem to have an answer elsewhere on the forums regarding DVD's authored and burnt on my (old pre-2004) G5 being unable to be read and ejected by the same G5!
This has only started recently in the last month or so, using the same media, using other media (all DVD-R) The disc is accepted as a blank disc, opening Toast. I burn my project but when I reinsert the disc to check it out- the disc is ejected! At first it started with discs that contained DVD_ROM content, but now it's happening on basic stuff. Fortunately I have a work's G5 that can verify the disc is okay and plays fine.
I Should also note that DVD's burnt prior to the problem (using the same media) that used to open on the G5 are also being ejected now.
I've tried all the usual suspects, cleaned the discs and DVD player, Repaired permissions, done all that... The only thing I can think of is this all started after a recent OS update I downloaded (I'm suspicious like that) and I have the latest updates.
Is there a firmware update or custom install option for the DVD drive that now seems to be fussy now?
Alternatively, Someone in the Apple shop thought my superdrive was going (and would I like to buy a new G5) Actually that was unfair, a new DVD drive was suggested but when I mentioned how old the G5 was they said the internal architecture couldn't support a new drive. So that was effectively like saying buy a new G5- which I would love to do but I suspect blu-ray is just around the corner and I would prefer a Blu-ray Superdrive G5/G6!

Someone in the Apple shop thought my superdrive was going...
I think they're right, Opticals are very short lived, and the Read & Write portions are separate, as well as the CD & DVD parts.
a new DVD drive was suggested but when I mentioned how old the G5 was they said the internal architecture couldn't support a new drive.

Thanks for the question. I understand you are experiencing issues with your iPod nano and iTunes. Based on your symptoms, you may find the following resources helpful in resolving this issue:
Windows
iPod appears in Windows but not in iTunes
iPod not recognized in 'My Computer' and in iTunes for Windows
iTunes reports that "iTunes cannot recognize this iPod at this time"

XML file not being read by Accordion Demo

I had this working last week and it was a beautiful thing. I
subsequently added many more product items to the products.xml file
and resent it, now the products.xml file is not being read by the
index page. I have read all the posts and added all the suggested

What's happening if you open the xml page (employees.xml)
directly in browser. Are you able to see all the records? Is the
XML valid?

Video Ipod not being read by CPU(Need Help other post did not help)

My 30G Ipod is not being read by the coumputer, I tunes, or even the Ipod restore software. When i plug in my pod it turns on and charges...i can play music. When i turn it off there is a battery symbol and it says charging...i reinstaled ipod software...i did the two button reset, i tried it on all four of mr PC's Oh yeah...it make a soft high pitch noise when it charges.

I can't help I'm afraid! I have exaclty the same unresolved problem and getting severely miffed that a £300 product has suddenly became a heap of junk.

a. You are using Cheap media as Memorex, NoName etc DVDs - I only use Verbatim
b. You use a DL-DVD or DVD+/-RW type of media - Old Macs can not use DL-DVDs - I only use DVD-R
c. Your DVD-burner needs a cleaning - Cleaning DVD without liquid but the brush type
d. Is there OK free space on Your Start-Up (Macintosh HD) hard disk - I never go less than 25Gb free.
e. Can You describe the material used to create Your DVD
- Video Codec/s
- Photo file formats
- Audio file formats
iDVD can not use all but only a few of them - still it tries and then often fails

You need to convert the VOB files in the TS-Folder of the DVD back to DV which iMovie is designed to handle. For that you need mpegStreamclip:

Obviously the foregoing only applies to DVDs you have made yourself, or other home-made DVDs that have been given to you. It will NOT work on copy-protected commercial DVDs, which in any case would be illegal.

Are you referring to @mac.com, @me.com or @icloud.com emails? Or some other email providers emails?
If the former, it should do that automatically. If the latter, no. iCloud does not (nor is it supposed to) sync non-Apple provided emails.

Ipod not being read and freezing

When I plug my ipod into my computer, it goes to "do not disconnect" but not the flashing do not disconnect. Its frozen. My computer wont read it. So I unplug it and its frozen. I know how to restart it but that doesnt help me from when it freezes again once I hook it up. How do I stop it from freezing and not being read. Thanks

i am having a similar problem with my 4g 20G
it freezes when i try to update. i thought maybe it was the latest version of itunes i recently installed but i reverted back to an old updater version and itunes 6 and while i was able to get 300 songs on the ipod without freezing, when i tried to put the rest of my library on there it freezes. i've even tried to put as little as 15 songs on at a time and that still freezes the ipod.

Stoarage location is not being reflected in the outbound delivery

I have a scenario of creating outbound delivery with respect to sales order, But when i am creating outbound delivery vai tranaction Vl10H , The system creates outbuond delivery but the stoarge location is not being reflected in the outbound delivery . Since this storage location is WM managed hence the WM status shows that the transfer order is not required .
When i tried to put manually the storage location the system throws an error that this storage location in not maintained in plant R001 .
Althoght the stoack has been there in the stoarage location with resepct to plant ans also the matrerial master is also been extended for this storage laocation and all the respective views such as WM and Sales hasbeen maintianed .
Could any one guide me what correction is to be done to incorporate the Storage location in Delivery ?

stor.conditions (table TVKOL)?
Please also check if the storage location determination is activated for the relevant delivery item type in customizing (transaction 0vlp - field "Determine storage location" (V_TVLP-BELGO)).

Product hierarchy is not being maintained in the sales order material

I have an issue where the product hier is not being maintained in the sales order for some of the materials although the material master has the prod hier maintained.. The main program is SAPMV45A and I have checked all the exits in MV45AFZZ. In none of these exits the PRODH field in XVBAP is being populated. I would like top know if anyone has faced a problem like this.

Thanks for your suggestion. The poduct hierarchy is maintained in the material master but not being picked up at the time of creating the sales order. I have found the solution and coding has to be done in the MV45AFZZ.

Fieldname in not being displayed in the table maintenance

Hi Experts,
I have created a table maintenance for a custom table.The table contains 10 fields out of which first 3 are key fields.
on the 3rd key field i have supplied F4 help so as to populate the 4th field automatically based on the selection of 3rd field.
everything is working fine but last 6 'fieldname' is not being displayed on the column bar.instead of fieldname there is '+' sign on the column. And i have checked in layout(screen) also only first four fields being displayed.

Hello Mukesh,
As you know, data element or pre-defined data type will be assigned as field type to the fields in a table. If you are assigning the data element, then the data element has the option to give the field label.
If you are assigning the data element and the field label is empty, then + sign will come. In other case - if you assigning the pre-defined data type also, the screeen column header will be shown as + sign.
In both the above cases, you can change the column header manually in the layout.

With iOS 6, the all day events showed up in the notification centre but it lacks in the upgrade iOS 7.

Same problem here. Some people pointed out that all-day events do show up in their notification center, but that seems only to be the case for birthdays (and only as text like the weather). I've tried it myself on my iPhone and iPad and it did work for birthdays but not for any other all-day events. I already sent this to Apple as a product feedback as well, as should everyone of you. The more people mention it, the faster Apple's going to fix this issue. In its current state, notification center is not a very helpful feature in my opinion. There's absolutely no point in not showing all-day events in the 'today' calendar overview.

Date not being displayed in the custom format

I have a problem wherein i am unable to change the format of the date.
I need the date to be in the format 'January 10,2010.' however the date is being displayed as '1/10/10'. I have tried all options for the date formatting. I specified the custom format as 'MMMM D,YYYY' as mentioned in the SAP Library. I am trying to use the std custom options like YYYY-MM-DD, the date is not being dispalyed in the custom format provided by SAP either.
I have binded date from the context, used the Current Date field provided by SAP. Nothing works.
Its not working on the new form. However the old forms have the same kind of formatting and are being displayed as desired.
Please suggest as to what the issue could be.

v_int_date = '20110201'
write v_int_date to v_ext_date MM/DD/YYYY.
Here I've tried to convert the date to external format using a fixed format(MM/DD/YYYY). But still it's getting outputted in the format DD/MM/YYYY only as that's the way its defined in the User Master!
Is there any solution for this? How can I 'override' defaults in the SAP User Master?
