A game that used to load in old browser does not load in Firefox, despite installing new version of the Adobe Flash player as instructed?
I used to have Internet Explorer as the browser on my laptop but had loads of problems. I installed Firefox as I had been told that it was more efficient. I play several application games within Facebook and one of them - Treasure Island Adventure Game - does not load whatsoever. It states if game does not load within 10 seconds to upgrade my version of the Adobe Flash player. I did that and re-started my laptop and the problem was not solved. I even deleted the application then loaded it up but it still did not make any difference.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

You can also check the settings for Firefox in your security software (firewall, anti-virus) to make sure that they aren't blocking content.

Most people have no problems with installing firefox as an upgrade, but there are quite a few things that can cause problems. Please have a look at the articles

Post back after you read them and say what you tried. Have you ensured you used an admin account, possibly needing to check the UAC setting, and that security software is not blocking the changes. You should certainly try starting in firefox's [[safe mode]] either from a menu/icon option or by holding the shift key as you attempt to run firefox.

Whenever I try to use a web site that needs Adobe Flash Player, Firefox asks me to download it. When I download it and try again, it still asks me to download. When I access the same web site using Safari, I have no problem. This is true for many web sites - whichever ones require Adobe Flash Player.

Media Browser does not load photos
iWeb media browser does not load photos. iTunes and Movies panels do work however.

And On the Flash Player Help home page(http://helpx.adobe.com/en/flash-player.html) has the same problem,
and menu round the red circle on the below picture is the problem Right Click Menu.
As this problem，If we program use the Flex，the problem that the Right Click Menu can not be pop up must occur.
eg:
IF there is many lines when we use the ListController ,the data nears the taskbar can not be used the Right Click Menu。

Your MacBook Air is an Intel-based system. To download the current version (11.2.202.228), go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and download it from there.

Since updating to the latest version of Firefox the Adobe Flash player pop up continually pops up whether the page needs flash player or not. It even shows for a text page.
It is very annoyingYou can set the default in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins" and change that for the Shockwave Flash plugin to "Always Activate".
You can inspect and manage permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:
*Click the "[[Site Identity Button|Site Identity Button]]" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar
*Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
*Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab

Cant install the adobe flash player after down loading on my mac?

After I downloaded Firefox, I attempted to update the top four plugins, I already have adobe flash player, but I went on ahead and downloaded it again with the other three, java and two others. I then restarted my computer, and when I logged back on to face book Farmville would not load a message said if it don't load in ten seconds I would need to update the adobe flasher which is in my add and delete box. The same with Cafe world, it will not load as well! My google search is missing as well! I have no problems logging on to Face book, but I can't go to any of the applications that I normally play with now! I did updated the top four plugins as was suggested and now I'm having problems!

even tho the flash player says its installed it still wont work i have tried uninstalling the programs and removing all registry values for them (not all at once) i have tried every troubleshooting tip for both programs to resolve this issue

Opening XLF Loading components .. Does not load all components
Hi
When i try to open a dashboard XLF file, dialog box appears opening file Loading components but the status does not reach to end process/status bar complete. I could see all the component in the preview. In the object browser i did not all the components and this leads me to think that all the objects were not indeed loaded. This is happenning just recently on this XLF. Due to this i am unable to tweak the XLF for enhancements.
Any remedies welcome!

then check excel INDEX/MATCH functions
If you are extensively using INDEX/MATCH functions within the Excel spreadsheet, opt for a selector component with 'Filtered rows' option under the Data Insertion Type

I've gone through the installation of a new version, well... 8 times before. And have noticed that adobe has the nasty habit of not cleanly uninstalling the previous versions...
What is the best way to do this?
Should I do a regular install and trust adobe this time to completely remove the old version and its associated directories?
Or should I uninstall the old version and install the new one? I've always been afraid to go this route bocause of the organizer files.
Thanks for your comments.So, just to be clear: the "proper, Adobe-recommended" way to go about an upgrade would be to install the new version and THEN remove the older version by means off "Add/Remove programs" ??

GordonThe FlashPlayer plugin used for Firefox is entirely separate from the one that Internet Explorer uses. You system details do not show Flash Player is installed.
With flash player installed and enabled if you go to the Adobe website it will check that FlashPlayer works, also you will be able to download and install from there if necessary. The site page also has links to troubleshooting information. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
Javascript is not the same as Java. Javascript, which is what you need enabled at present is a feature of the firefox browser that needs enabling in order for it to handle the javscript files.

Thank you.Reinstalling OS X won't help you unless you erase the drive and reinstall from scratch. To do that you want a backup of your files so they won't be lost. If you can do that, then:
Install or Reinstall Mavericks or Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
OS X Mavericks- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Erase and reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.
Now, after the successful first startup you will be in the Setup Assistant. Be sure you give your new admin account the same username as the one on your backup. When you get to the Desktop I suggest you install Flash from the download link I gave you earlier. Open Safari and see if Flash is now working for you. I recommend you reinstall only your data at this time. Redownload and install any third-party software you use. Be sure you get only the most recent versions and that they are compatible with Mavericks - App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.
