A particular website doesn't work

http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/ has not been working for me for three days. However, other people have said that it works just fine for them. Every time I try to load this website, it tells me this:
Safari can’t open the page “http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding.
There are several other things I must say.
1: I am certain that this is the proper URL, and that the URL has not changed.
2: I have tried other pages of this website, such as http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/thatguywiththeglasses/nostalgia-crit ic and still, none of them work.
3: I don't have any way to contact the admin of the site, since, after all, I can't get TO the site.
4: I have tried to log in with Internet Explorer as well. Still tells me the same basic thing: "Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect to thatguywiththeglasses.com"
5: I have gone to the other computer in my house and tried it, with the same results.
6: I have erased all my Safari cookies, the cache, history, downloads, I reset everything multiple times. Same results.
7: I have never, ever had this kind of problem where a particular website doesn't work, but apparently only for me at the same time.
My question is: What is happening, and what can I do to fix it?

I'm having the same problem with my own website. All day today it's been alternating between loading correctly, and displaying an error message that says:
"Safari can’t open the page “http: //www. mydomain.com/” because the server where this page is located isn’t responding."
It works for about 45 minutes, then doesn't work for 15 or 20 minutes.
Yet the techs at my hosting provider say they can view the site.
The same thing happens with other computers in the house (not just mine), and when I try to load the page in Firefox, it doesn't work either.
Somehow I don't believe it's related to Safari.
I'd love to hear if anyone else has any ideas about what generally causes such error messages.

Link on my website doesn't work correctly on my iMac. It works okay when using Safari. It also works correctly on my laptop using either browser.

We worked out my problem. My solution turned out to be: Firefox Preferences/Applications. Scroll down until you find "Portable Document Format (application)", click on it and use the dropdown menu to the right and changed "Save file" to "Use Adobe Acrobat Pro (default). I had trouble at first finding if the listing was under Adobe, Acrobat, or what so I used the search feature and found it immediately.
    Hope this helps.

  • Lost phone... and this website doesn't work!!!!!  what do I do?

I lost my phone this evening.
It's late and I do not have access to another phone to call Verizon, so I figured I could log onto the website here and report my phone stolen...
but NO the website is not working!
I sign in and when I click on any of the links such as BILLING etc., it says 'the information is not available at this time', and up at the top of the screen, after I log in it says 'Welcome, null' instead of my name!
So what am I supposed to do?
Thanks Verizon, for having zero customer service on this website!

The system is normally down for maintenance early in the AM.

  • Please help... My live website doesn't work for Chrome Windows users...

Hi, everyone, I really need your help.
I just finished my first Muse site for a client and made it live for all the world to see. I double and triple checked everything and it looked great on my computer (Google Chrome browser, but on a Mac). However, when my client saw it, he said there was a huge mistake - the text of the navigation bar was cut in half!
I asked my boyfriend to go on the site on his computer... also a Windows and on Google Chrome. Same issue. However, when he went on the site in Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer, it worked just fine for him.
How do I fix this?! According to Google Analytics, most of our customers are using the Chrome internet browser... and the site is already live and people are visiting it (ah!).
EDIT: According to my mom, it doesn't work on her computer on neither Firefox or Google either. So I'm not sure how this bug functions.
Here is the link to the site: www.alpineslopes.ca
And here is a picture of the bug: (I don't know why it inserted it upside down, not sure how to change that, but hopefully you can see that the top part of the navigation is gone).

    Hi Claudia,
We have identified this as an issue with the font itself and not Muse. A bug has been filed for the same. As of now I can't commit a timeframe when this would be resolved. I will suggest using an alternate font, btw the font that you have used now looks equally good,

  • Assigning text tone to particular contact doesn't work on my Mac

I have been trying to assign text tones to particular contacts in Yosemite by clicking the drop-down while editing my contacts in the Contacts app and choosing the text tone, but it doesn't seem to work. Every time a message comes in from those contacts, it always uses the default alert that is set in the Messages app. What's going on? Is it a bug or something?

Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

  • My website doesn't work on firefox.

So I've made a website for my internship assignment (first year of my study hence the lack of experience). Sadly I've ran into the problem where it works on every browser except firefox.

There is still some things that need cleaning up. But I need to get the site working on firefox first before I worry about that.

Honestly you just had a "font" randomly in css and I got it to work fine:

    what was not working?

  • The print function on websites doesn't work in Firefox.

I want to print information from a certain website by selecting the Print View button. That works. But when I select the Print function, nothing happens. In other words, Firefox has stopped printing from websites. Other print functions (such as Word 2007) work just fine.

Same problem, could not print web page. Deleted HP Smart Web Print program. Print function worked after removal. Firefox 4 Beta 8

  • Hyperlinks in website doesn't work

I design my own website using Publisher. All/Most of my hyperlinks does not work with Mozilla Firefox. All is perfect with IE, but not with Mozilla Firefox. Please could you help me explain how I can get all my hyperlinks to work. This affects my business major, as I have a marketing website for Accommodation in South Africa.

That is an MS Office document with VML code and not valid HTML code.<br />
If you look at the page source (View > Page Source) then you will notice the VML code that shows as green comment.
Make sure that you disable VML code when you save the page in the editor.<br />
VML (MS Office code) only works in IE and not in other browser like Firefox.<br />

  • A certain website doesn't work properly in Firefox anymore.

I used to use a website www.padmapper.com After a recent update to Firefox (I think 3 or 4 updates ago) I suddenly couldn't use the website properly anymore. It would load but some of the options of for instance choosing a price-range wasn't working. Instead of a display of numbers I got a display stating NaN. I tried accessing the website using Internet Explorer and the website appeared to be working fine using that browser. I am using the latest version of Firefox (36.0.4)

I checked the site out. Had no problem.

  • John Lewis website doesn't work in Safari

I'm using Safari 6.0.5 under Mac OS X 10.8.5. When I visit the John Lewis broadband site at: https://www.johnlewisbroadband.com/standard/ it displays O.K. but none of the clickable links on the page work. The Error Console log shows a lot of strange text followed by: "Failed to load resource: Could not connect to the server."
Google Chrome 30.0 has the same problem with this site.
Firefox 24.0 works fine - all the links work.
Anyone else having problems with this site?

It's working ok here on Safari 6.0.5 / Mountain Lion v10.8.5
Try troubleshooting extensions and third party plugins.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test. If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
If it's not an extensions issue, try troubleshooting third party plug-ins.
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the Security tab. Deselect:  Allow all other plug-ins. Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that made a difference, instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.
Also, if your see Develop in the Safari menu bar between Bookmarks and Window click Develop. If you see any items that are checked in the drop down menu, click there one time to uncheck. Quit and relaunch Safari and try that website again.

  • The tool "Report a broken website" doesn't work. Need to submit a report with screenshots.

    Example of problem on http://constitution.org/rror/rror--00.htm
iframe content often displayed in the wrong places, or sometimes not at all. Similar problem with other pages on site. Pages display correctly with IE, Google Chrome, Safari, and sometimes in Firefrox as well, especially just after a new start, so the problem is not the underlying HTML, and the fact that Firefox usually does initially display it correctly, but fails to do so after running a while, suggests something like a memory leak.
Using Firefox v. 3.6.23 Linux under Fedora.

I had already tried clearing everything, which didn't work. Just tried changing the network.http.pipelining value to true in prefs.js by entering about:config in the location field of the browser, and rebooted the system. That seems to work, for now, but rebooting the system has worked before -- for a while. It should not be necessary to have to frequently reboot to avoid the problem. For that matter, it should not be necessary to have to edit the prefs.js file. Other browsers seem to work without having to do that.

  • Few functionalities of few websites doesn't work

    goto page https://drive.google.com/keep/
Click on Grid View to view the notes that way
now to edit a note, you have to click anywhere inside the note. i'm not able to edit the notes. (This works in Google Chrome)
Note: editing the note works in list view :| :| that's how i have to work.

Cleared the cache and cookies, this didn't resolve the issue.

  • "Request Product Service" form on apple's website doesn't work

I'm trying to get Apple to repair my broken IPod. I go to the Request Product Service online form (http://depot.info.apple.com/ipod/), fill in all my info, and when I get to the page that asks "Describe Your Issue," I get stuck on the first part: "Select an issue which describes the reason for service," it says, and provides a drop-down menu - for which there are no options. Try continuing, and it won't let you. I'm so frustrated - is this Apple's way of getting out of servicing IPod's? It's such an obvious technical glitch in the form (I've tried using a different web browser, same thing happens), it's amazing.
What are my options? Take it to a store?

You can call apple at 1-800-275-2273 if your still stuck they will help you sort it out. By the way if you are canadian make sure you are filling out the canadian code, and same for u.s. good luck
