"System_Error" Error exception return from pipeline processing!
Hi all,
I get this error everytime I click the red flag in sxmb_moni:
com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException
thrown during application mapping
com/sap/xi/tf/_CUST_TO_DFS_MM_: RuntimeException
in Message-Mapping transformatio~
When I go to TRACE of SOAP Header, I see this error:
<Trace level="1" type="System_Error">Error exception return from pipeline processing!</Trace>
The messages were not posted as 'Application document not posted' in we05: they cannot be seen in we05. Because of this, the number of IDOCS posted in we05 is not equal to the XMLs generated in sxmb_moni.
Please help.
Thanks.
Regards,
IXCUST_TO_DFS_MM
Check this mapping...sometimes just testing in IR is not sufficient....error can also occur at runtime...so take the payload from SXMB_MONI and then test to see why it is failing....
Also there will be some more error text alongwith CUST_TO_DFS_MM...check it to drill down to the root cause...

Error exception return from pipeline processing
Hi Friends,
In my File to Proxy scenario, i am getting the following error:
"<Trace level="1" type="B" name="CL_XMS_MAIN-WRITE_MESSAGE_LOG_TO_PERSIST" />
<Trace level="1" type="System_Error">Error exception return from pipeline processing!</Trace>".
The common error i received in the monitor is Message Mapping error.
But i have checked clearly in the IR, all the mappinngs are correct. While doing the test, it is going well.
I have gone through some sdn blogs, they have stated like cache refresh, but after doing cash refresh also i am getting the same error.
Can anyone give me suggestion?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
BalaHi Aashish Sinha,
I have checked the source code, it is fine. I am getting error in the target code. It is saying that particular filed cannot be mapped. But in the taget that field is existing.

Capturing error messages from Oracle EBS APIs when using Oracle Apps Adapter
We are using Oracle applications adapter to call Oracle EBS (both R11.5 and R12) APIs. I want to understand the best practice around error handling when using Oracle Apps Adapter to call Oracle EBS.
Here are some observations:
1. Most of the APIs return X_RETURN_STATUS and X_MSG_DATA containing the status and messages if any.
2. If the MSG COUNT is 1 then X_MSG_DATA contains the message, if MSG COUNT is > 1. X_MSG_DATA is empty.
We know that when calling the API directly from PL/SQL, we need to loop through FND_MSG_PUB to fetch all messages when there are more than 1. How do we achieve the same using Apps Adapter as Apps Adapter generates the PL/SQL block to call the API dynamically at runtime.
In some APIs, which have table/rec types as input or output parameters, Apps Adapter generates a wrapper package to do conversion from SQL--> PL/SQL and viceversa. In this case the adapter calls the custom package generated which internally calls the API. For these APIs we were able to put the logic to loop through FND_MSG_PUB and return a concatenated string as value of X_MSG_DATA.
But what should we do for the APIs which do NOT have a rec/table type as input or output, in which case the Apps Adapter directly calls the API and there is no intermediate custom package?
How are others handling this? Please see the section "Handling Functional Errors" in the below link

I believe the best approach would be:
1. Migrate your existing database ONLY to the new servers.
Using Oracle EBS with a Split Configuration Database Tier on 11gR2 (Doc ID 946413.1)

Applimation Setup Reporter upgrade from Oracle eBS R11i to R12
Hi,
A prospective customer would like to carry out Applimation Setup Reporter upgrade when upgrading Oracle eBS from R11i to R12
Would appreciate if one could share their experience and things to watch out when carrying out Applimation Setup Reporter upgrade.
Best regards,
Bratindra Dutta.Hello,
this forum is dedicated for migrations from non-Oracle to Oracle databases, using the SQL Developer Migration Workbench.
You can post your question in the eBS forum: https://forums.oracle.com/forums/category.jspa?categoryID=3
But as the question is about an Applimation Setup Reporter upgrade you should also consult the vendor of that product.

Values returned from oracle reports
hello,
i want to write a program which comunicates with
oracle report builder. passing arguments to oracle
reports is no problem but is it possible to get
return values from oracle reports so that i can
proceed with them in my java application.
thank you
thorsten lorenzHi Stewart,
thank you for your answer. I think i'll try this
approach. I will start the runtime-Version of Oracle Reports
from java with parameters. exec(param 1,param 2). The only
thing returned is an integer indicating if this call
to reports was successfull. but with your idea i think
i got a nice workaround.

How to generate MT files from Oracle EBS Payables
Hi, does anyone has experience in generating MT files from Oracle Payables?
All contributions are welcome...Hi,
are you talking about MT-940 format files? If so, what is the use case behind this issue?
I created a custom loader process to upload MT-940 bank statements into Cash Management

on payables data?

Call Documentum from Oracle EBS
Hi All,
Customers wants to see some documents from Documentum on EBS web pages.
We will use R12 and 10gR2 for database but i'm still don't know which version of Documentum.
From my point of view, the best approach is to use Web Services capabilities of Documentum to extract documents and be able to see it on EBS, but i have several doubts about security and authentication.
Any of you have some experience on this? any advice or something that i have take in account?
Thanks for your help on this.
Regards.
JordiHi Charles,
I am working on a similar requirement on 11.5.10.2 and the client would like to integrate Documentum with Payables. Were the URLs static or dynamic? I have
been told that the URLs for the same attachment will be created on the fly due to security reasons. To acheive this I am trying to customise the attachment
form to call an external java class (passing the document id as param) which will return me the new url.
I would really appreciate if you can point me in the right direction.
Many Thanks,

Oracle Applications 11.0.3 (Oracle Financials) was implemented in our company and later in 2006 it was upgraded to 11.5.10 (with new implementation of Supply Chain Management Module - INV,OM and PO) and 2 months ago we upgraded it to 11.5.10.2+DB 11gR2.
I've been recommending to upgrade to R12 but the Finance Users are reluctant for an upgrade and of the opinion that the R12 has many bugs and there will be issues after upgrade to R12.
Once of the consultant is of the opinion that its better to re-implement R12 instead of Upgrade. He also tells me that R12 does not have sub-accounting and sub-ledger and trial balance reports in AP.Since I am not a Functional Consultant I could not comment on this.
Please advice if there are any useful docs which address the upgrade to R12 issues which I can share with our consultant and users.
I am currently going thru +Upgrade Advisor: Oracle E-Business Suite Financials and Projects Upgrade from 11.5.10.2 to 12.1.3 and 12.1.2 [ID 256.1]+

R12.1.x is a stable release that many customers (including Oracle themselves) have upgraded to.

The Finance modules have been completely re-written and fucntionality had changed for the better. Re-implementation typically costs upto 3 times more than a upgrade. Re-implementation is not necessary if the business model and process have not changed. What are the consultants justifications for doing a re-implementation (other than making more money) ?

Hi,
I need to write query, which will provide valuable informations to our FIN dept. It's basically ad-hoc query as bellow..
select distinct gjb.name,
gjh.name,
gjh.period_name,
gjh.je_source,
gjl_1.je_line_num,
gjl_1.accounted_dr,
gjl_1.accounted_cr,
gjl_1.description,
gcc.segment3
from gl_je_lines gjl_1,
gl_je_lines gjl_2,
gl_code_combinations gcc,
gl_je_headers gjh,
gl_je_batches gjb
where gjl_1.je_header_id = gjl_2.je_header_id
and gcc.code_combination_id = gjl_1.code_combination_id
and gjh.je_header_id = gjl_1.je_header_id
and gjb.je_batch_id = gjh.je_batch_id
and gjh.je_header_id = '302322'
and gcc.segment3 not in (3119820, 3119830, 3119992, 3959320, 3959321)
Description
The key columns are accounted_dr and accounted_cr, which represents CREDIT and DEBIT in accounting. Each returned row is financial transaction. In one row, you take money from one account and in other row you take same amount of money to another account to ensure balance ( i don't know how to explain it better in english ). So basically every transaction needs to have 2 rows >>> for example: - 1000 from account A ( one row ) and + 1000 to account B ( another row )
Question
Basically, for every row.. i need to display one more column, which will show opposite transaction for orgiinal one, so user can check for each account, the opposite account where money went..
Thats what i have ( simplified )
Column: accounted_dr accounted_cr segment3 ( account )
1000 0 5555
0 1000 3333
Thats what i need
column: accounted_dr accounted_cr segment3 ( account ) Oposite transaction
1000 0 5555 3333
0 1000 3333 5555
Thanks a lot !!
I don't even know if it's possible with SQL

Edited by: user13376140 on 2.6.2011 7:57I'm not sure if the long SQLs should explain your problem. I just question the usage of a DISTINCT in a financial query.
(You want to ignore the second transation with the same details?)
I can just help with on your simplified example:
create table transactions
(trans number,
accounted_dr number,
accounted_cr number,
account number);
insert into transactions values (1,1000,0,5555);
insert into transactions values (1,0,1000,3333);
commit;
select accounted_dr,accounted_cr,account,
case when accounted_dr > 0 then lead(account,1) over (partition by trans order by accounted_dr desc )
else lag(account,1) over (partition by trans order by accounted_dr desc) end opp_account
from transactions;
ACCOUNTED_DR ACCOUNTED_CR ACCOUNT OPP_ACCOUNT
1000 0 5555 3333
0 1000 3333 5555I had to add a transaction ID otherwise you'll get confusion to know which "rows" belng together. I'm sure you have that too.
