ABAP proxy client sending to XI   by using the WEB Service

Hi
I have scenario where ABAP Proxy need to send the data by calling a web service middleware as SAP XI/PI,
Can anyone please provide the details of the scenarion that ABAP Proxy calls the webservice to send the data and receive it back the response, (Synchronous communication)
Thanks
PR

Hi PR
My understanding of your requirement is like
Proxy <-> XI <-> SOAP.
Steps.
1. Create Client proxy to send data to XI
2. Import the WSDL provided by receiver system in XI
3. Do IR steps
4. ID - SA is not required
5. Configure Receiver SOAP adapter using the URL and Soap Action from the WSDL you received.
Thanks
Gaurav

  • ABAP proxy client sending to XI   and Receive the data back from the DB

    Hi
    I am new to XI need a clarification on the following scenario
    I have a scenarion where ABAP Proxy (Clinet) from ECC will be sending the data to Data base server via XI,  and needs to return the values back to ECC
    ECC -
    > XI/PI -
    > Remote server  (Database)
          <-- XI/PI <--
    Can anyone give idea how can I develop this scenario.
    I am sure I would be using the Proxy BADI to send the data from ECC to XI in Asyscrounous mode,
    Thanks
    PR

    Hi,
    As you said the data will be sent asynchronously from BAPI to XI which means you will have to split up the scenario into two.
    First One -
    Sender Proxy - XI - Receiver JDBC.
    Second -
    Sender JDBC - XI - Receiver Proxy.
    You can set a flag to"1" when you insert data into table. the run a query on the database which will fetch record whose flay is set to "1" and also simultaneously rest the flag to "0" to indicate that this record is already send to SAP.You can make use of stored procedures too.
    Please award points if the reply is useful.

  • How can i use the web services

    i have a web service ,but what is need that can i use the web services?
    is only then oc4j,or anything?

    You need to write a client that will access the Web service and invoke it.
    You can write the client in Java for example - and JDeveloper provides wizards for this.
    There is a sample in the JDeveloper Reviewer guide here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/collateral/papers/10g/reviewer/reviewerguide.html

  • Problem in using the Web Service generated from BAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST

    Hi all,
       I am trying to use the Web Service generated from BAPI_FLIGHT_GETLIST. I have got the wsdl file, and trying to invoke it. But, while I can test the BAPI using the Airline ID AA, I can't test from the Web Service using the same data. It shows the error message - "Airline AA not found". Anyone having solution, please help. This is urgent.

  • Problem: ABAP Proxy Client Sending to XI - Message lost

    Hi all,
    I got a problem, concerning ABAP Proxy Client.
    I have done the following:
    1. Created an outbound interface in XI 3.0, sp14
    2. Created Proxy for this in ABAP using sproxy
    3. Created ABAP pgm to call this proxy
    4. Maintained SM59 http destination to XI
       (RFC Dest:INTEGRATIONSERVER TYPE H)
    5. Sender r/3 system is WAS 640
    6. I also did sxmb_adm in Sender System to have Integration Engine URL pointing to XI System.
    7. I registered/ activated queues in SXMB_ADM.
    8. SICF service is active for defalt/xi/engine in both Sender and target systems.
    I allready have ABAP Proxy Server running...
    My Proxy Client seems to run.., running my report (based on the ABAP Proxy Client Weblog from SDN)I get a sy-subrc 0 and no error, bot I can't see no message in XI. Neither in SXMB_MONI, nor in RWB checking Message-Monitoring
    Can someone please tell me what is going wrong and where I could check for my messages?
    Thanks in advance, Daniel

    Hi Daniel -
    Looks like you've done the major tasks for this to work. A couple of things however...
    For proxies, Type H is the correct RFC Dest type.  However, don't know if it's a typo, but the 'Dest:INTEGRATIONSERVER' should have '//' like 'Dest://INTEGRATIONSERVER'.
    Also, confirm that your are using the correct port in your destination.  You should use the integration server's ICM port, not the J2EE server port.  You can confirm this in SMICM, then Goto-->Services.  You may already have this; I just didn't see it specified in your description.

  • How to code in java to use the web services of CRM

    Hi,
    I am new to CRM on demand web services. I want to develope a java J2EE application to insert some lead data into CRM on demand. But i have no idea of how the wsdl provided by CRM can be converted to a java class so that i can use the API's provided by them in my program. I am using Eclipse Galileo IDE for my java application development. Can any one tell me the way to reference the wsdl in my program or any other way to build my application.
    Please help me out.
    Thanx in advance.

    May be it's the 'stub' you should be looking for.
    Any Account related queries/creations - AccountStub
    --> Query : Populate AccountQuery, populate AccountQueryPage_Input, call accountStub.accountQueryPage(input);
    --> Creation: Populate AccountData, populate AccountInsert_Input, call accountStub.accountInsert(input)
    It's the same procedure for other objects like Contact, Lead, Opportunity.
    I worked on other web-services using Axis2, and 'Stub' has been the one which we use to connect to the web-service.

  • ABAP proxy client sending to XI

    We have created an outbound interface in XI and generated the proxy in ABAP using SPROXY.  When we test the call of the proxy,  we get the following error in SXMB_MONI..
    HTTP response contains status code 401 with the description Unauthorized
    Any advice on how to troubleshoot and resolve would be appreciated.

    Thanks for all the suggestions,  I have checked most of what has been suggested (SM59 HTTP, SXMB_ADM Int Eng Cnf, SLDCHECK, and SPROXY Connection Test) and these appear ok.
    I can provide further info that may help...
    In SXMB_MONI there appear to be two high level steps involved in the processing.  The first is "Inbound Message (SENDER)" which has a green flag.  The next is "Call Integration Server", which has a Red flag.  When I look at the Trace section of the SOAP Header IT is giving the following information..

    Hi,
    Proxies communicate with the XI server by means of native SOAP calls over HTTP .RFC does not, so you have to convert from SOAP to RFC calls and vice versa. So XML conversion is required.
    ABAP Proxies uses Webservice and Http Protocols. And if you use RFC it is mainly meant for Sync. call. But Proxies is used for both Sync and Async.
    If you use ABAP Proxy , you can reduce the overhead calling the function again and again.

    Re: JDBC Sender select/update problem
    If u generate proxy for outbound interface then its client proxy and for inbound interface its server proxy.
    In client proxy u can call the method to send messages but u can't modify it but in server proxy its possible to write a user code within the method to execute proxy.
    CLIENT PROXY:
    A WSDL description from a UDDI server (or an Internet page) is usually used to make a service executable in the Internet and to describe the interface of this service. You require a client proxy and not a server proxy to call this service by using the Web service infrastructure.
    SERVER PROXY:
    You can only generate ABAP server proxies from a WSDL description if they originate in the Integration Repository.You can also generate server proxies for Java and client proxies for ABAP from message interfaces.

  • "SOAP:Fault" in scenario with ABAP proxy client

    Hello,
    I realized the scenario CRM40_Basis620(ABAP proxy client)->XI->File.
    XI:
    The sender communication channel is a XI adapter (Parameters: HTTP 1.0, XI 3.0, Integration Server, Security profile unchecked, Security level - HTTP).

    SLDCHECK is ok.
    All RFC destinations are ok.

    I think the main problem is the parameter "HTTP Security level" for the channel, but not sure.
    Does anybody know where to find a solution?

    Hi Roman
    There is no need for an XI adapter for client proxy.... we only use that for server proxies.

  • Double call of abap proxy client

    Hi expert,
    I have a scenario which an abap program will send a data to third party web service via sender abap proxy. I notice some of the message was double in sxmb_moni which should be called 1 time. Any idea why this happen? Abaper said that the abap program only call my proxy client 1 time. Thanks.

    Hi,
    Any possible the abap proxy send double message?
    There is no way for this to happen.
    Either your report for proxy ran twice consecutively or the proxy call method is in loop in report.
    Sice u said that only 1 time it happened, i think th proxy call method is not in loop , and may be report ran twice.
    Please check the ABAP code if any loop is there or proxy called twice in the report..

  • How to use RESTful Web Services provided from BO Enterprise

    Hi Experts,
    i am trying to use the Web Service "BIPLATFORM" provided by BusinessObjects Enterprise. As I have trouble reading the WSDL i tried to use the REST interface.
    Unfortunatally I cannot find any Docu about that in the internet.
    Does anybody have experience in using the BIPLATFORM web service?
    Thank you in advance

    Thank you very much for your instant answer and help!
    I got it now: "no rest in biplatform service"
    What made me think REST is possible was only the following entry in ...\webapps\dswsbobje\WEB-INF\conf\axis2.xml
    "<!-- Our HTTP endpoints can handle both REST and SOAP. Following parameters can be used to distinguiush those endpoints
      -->
    - <!-- In case of a servlet, if you change this you have to manually change the settings of your servlet container to map this
      -->
    - <!-- context path to proper Axis2 servlets
      -->
    - <!-- <parameter name="servicePath">services</parameter>
      -->
    - <!-- <parameter name="restPath">rest</parameter>
      -->
    - <!--  Following parameter will completely disable REST handling in Axis2
      -->
      <parameter name="disableREST" locked="true">false</parameter>
    - <!-- POJO deployer , this will alow users to drop .class file and make that into a service
      -->
    Anyway I was only hoping to get REST work as the WSDL provided by BusinessObjects Enterprise is not valid to be parsed by SAP Netweaver ABAP SOAP Runtime...
    I regret but i have to add: The fact that the web service is only meant to work with certain consumers shows that the people responsible have little to no understanding what the idea of SOAP, SOA and WSDL really is. On the one hand SAP was always pushing their ESOA idea but on the other hand we got this strange limitations like "only for these clients..."
    This is exactly the opposite of the SOAP-idea:
    "The framework has been designed to be independent of any particular programming model and other implementation specific semantics." - http://www.w3.org/TR/2007/REC-soap12-part1-20070427/

  • Using Encrypted Web Service connections within Xcelsius 2008 SP1 - FP3

    Hi all,
    I'm running the latest version of Xcelsius Server 2008 and have setup a simplistic dashboard that uses 4 web service connections to dynamically call queries within a SQL Server 2008 database. The dashboard has been exported to html and I can serve this to the WWW.
    I have since created a new https website (using a self signed certificate) and can now serve my Xcelsius dashboard via https. My problem is that I have had to run my old website in parallel (as it serves the said non-encrypted web service) which is linked within the swf source (that is running on the new https enabled website).
    Upon trying to alter my existing xlf file so that it references the encrypted web service URL (which works fine via the browser) it prompts me to accept the self signed certificate. Once I click yes, and then add the certificate to the certificate store the whole thing locks up and I am forced to close Xcelsius.
    Am I right in thinking that Xcelsius will not accept self signed certificates or encrypted web services at all? For me this is big security concern because if I want to share my dashboard via the WWW I have to accept the fact that I need to run an unsecure web service.
    Is this something that is only supported in Xcelsius Enterprise?
    TIA

    Hello Paul,
    Sorry not to have replied to this sooner.
    We have had experience of hosting Xcelsius Dashboards using Https: for one of our clients here at Flynet.
    We noticed a number of issues , we did have problems relating to the Firewall on our Gateway server for example. We also had issues with the number of active connections processed when the dashboard is running. I think the default for Https: is 2 , so the connections can be queued up. Have you retried with one connection open. The Dashboard we did however did have up to 12 connections, so Xcelsius can handle multiple connections.
    When developing the Dashboards using Xcelsius I did have to import using the Web Service URL of the remote server which was Https: However due to issues sometimes with our Gateway Firewall and the way our Local Network had to access the https: URL , what I tended to do was develop using a localhost Web service and then switch the URL to use the https: Web Service once the dashboard was exported to the server it was to be hosted on.
    What we did notice for example is that we could have a dashboard running locally quite happily using the https: web services which are actually on [http://www.flynetviewer.com]   then we would start getting #2 type flash errors. To solve this we had to restart our Windows Firewall on our gateway server. We could run the dashboard fine if run from our web site.
    I am not sure if the issues you have are related to this. I have had problems when I had to import the https: web service URL on my local machine  , I am prompted for the Username password for the Https: location , but when trying to import Xcelsius has a problem and exits. Due to these problems I tended to use a local Web service when developing. I know this isn't always practical.
    I was running on Vista 64 bit , but I also have XP and Server 2003 running on Virtual machines.
    I will be happy to share information my experiences with you.
    Best Regards,
    Ian Learmonth
    Flynet
    Updated to add: I have just successfully imported an https: Web service. Mapped it to the dashboard , run it and invoked sucessfully. This was on Windows XP professional SP2.
    I did the same thing on Windows Vista 64 bit and had an issue. So not sure what operating system you are using or whether it's a Certificate thing. I can try and find out a bit more on our Certificate if you need to find out what the issue is.
    The Vista issue seems to have been resolved by running Xcelsius as Administrator.
    When successfully importing I was prompted for the Username and Password for the URL but not the Certificate.
