  • Shift icon in the top right corner of screen? Help please

Hey everybody, I have a question here. I've been getting a random problem on my curve 9310, and was wondering if anyone else had the problem or knows how to fix it. In the top right corner of my screen there's an icon, and it looks like its the shift/caps key icon, just aA^ (up arrow). The touchpad works, and I can scroll around, but the touchpad button or the enter button to open an application does not work, nor do any of the other keys. If I pull the battery and restart the phone, its still been doing that, and if I don't touch it and the screen fades to black, when I touch the buttons, its like the phone is off. I had this problem earlier in the week and it fixed itself, but its been doing it again. Any ideas on whats causing this, or how to fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi chris644 and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
This icon in the top right corner you are seeing indicates that the caps lock has been enabled. If you press the shift button again, this should remove the icon from the top of the screen.
    Thanks.

  • Downloads "Pile" Icons in Top-Right Corner of Screen

Almost every time I download something from the web--software updates, photos, etc.--none of it restricted--all my desktop icons fly into the top right-hand corner of the screen and pile on top of each other.
I then have to drag them one-by-one back to the position they were in on the desktop.
It's becoming a major pain and I can't figure out why it's happening.
Has anyone experienced this? If you have and know how to fix it, please let me know. I can't find anything about it in the knowledge base.
    Thanx.

My proposed solution to Jane is a *workaround, it does work for me on my Powerbook 10.4.7.
It also works on the mac intel they scramble, same os. 10.4.7
I removed the com.apple. finder.plist from the home~/Library/preferences folderon the powerbook did a restart, if I deselect the Arrange by in " Show view Options' under the "View" menu again the files scramble all around the desktop, having to manually rearrange them.
Do you know which other.plist file it maybe ?
On the iMac os 10.3.9 they behave w/out selecting the arrange, therefore, as far as I see it is a good way to arrange them, as a workaround.

Hello Dimaxum ~ I also have a Downloads folder, which i prefer to have all downloads go to so I can "get info" before I open them, I think it is an good idea. I do however have many other files on my desktop for easy access. Thanks for the support.

  • Iphoto opens in top right corner of screen, no way to drag it to center

I really hope someone can help, as I have tried everyting I know to fix this.
When I open iPhoto, it opens in the upper right portion of the computer screen, with only the bottom left quarter of the iphoto screen visible. There is no way to drag it to the center, thus making iphoto unusable.
When I press F9 or F10, it brings iPhoto full screen and center, but as soon as I press a key or click the mouse, it moves it back to the corner.
    Any ideas??

  • My imovie app has disapeared towards the top right corner of my desktop screen and I don't know how to get it back?

I don't know why but somehow my imovie has dissapraed off my desktop when I want to be working on it. When I click new project at the top of the screen the file then reappears from the top right corner of my creen but does not fill my whole desktop. I then click on a name for a new project and then the app just disspears again inot the top right corner of my screen and I do not know how to get it back? This is is the first time this has happened.

Your's may look more like this...
...if you're running Mountain Lion. I'm in clamshell mode right now, so I don't have any mirroring options. AFAIK, there's no more "Show displays in menu bar" in Mountain Lion.

  • In the top right corner of my i phone screen there is a small padlock with a circle around it, what is this for and how do i get rid of it,, it has only just popped up

in the top right corner of my iphone screen there is a small padlock with a circle around it, what is this for and how do i get rid of it, it has just popped up...

That is the orientation lock indicator. It means that you phone will not go into landscape mode when tilted on it's side.
To turn orientation lock off double tap the home button, to access the multitasking menu, then swipe your finger to the right over the multitasking bar at the bottom and touch the big button on the left with the padlock.

  • The menulets in the top right corner of my screen have disappeared. What should I do?

My brother was using my iMac today, and logged out of my account. When he did, every menulet in the top right corner of the screen disappeared besides Spotlight and the printer one. I tried to go to System Preferences and bring the menu buttons back up, but when I clicked on them, the check mark would appear but the icon wouldn't go back to the bar. Command+Drag also is not working. I am running OS X Leopard, if that makes any difference. Thanks for helping!

Yes, that's a manufacturing fault. Take it back for a replacement. Don't even try to fix it.

    Hi,
I have created a module pool and calling screen from main screen using Call screen.... Starting... ending... statement.
It is a modal screen. As a standard a [X] appears on top right corner. But when I click it doesn't work. How can I make it work?
    Any Pointer is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance for help.

    Hi Arun.
I have the same problem, meaning I'm looking for a way to close a popup Window with the [X] button at the top-right corner.
I switched from "Normal" screen to "Modal dialog box" and also created my PF-STATUS as a "Dialog box" but still nothing happens. When I press the [X] button I don't get to my PBO code at all.
I even tried to debug (System debug activated) the [X] action but nothing is triggered.
    Any help will be appreciated.

  • HT201412 My iPhone will not respond even once it is hooked to iTunes nor will it respond when I hit the power (reset) button. The screen mentions that the system is checking for "borrowed blocks" (small writing in the top right corner).

Are you using the charger and cable that came with the phone?
Are you using an unauthorized third party charger?

  • Iphone touch screen frozen and top right corner hot

Hi, I've seen two posts from over a year ago about this subject, but there have been no resolutions posted.
I have an iphone 4 and all of a sudden the screen froze and I could not slide it open.  The phone itself is still working (I've gotten text messages, spotify was on, and the buttons work), but the touch screen does not respond to anything.  Additionally, the top right corner (front facing) is hot, I mean really hot (it's the corner with the camera lens) it almost burns my finger.
Right before this happened, I was going for a jog, listening to Spotify and the phone was probably a little overheated since it's in my pocket while I'm jogging and it's 80 degrees outside, but I've done this before and this hasn't happened.  At one point it let me slide it open, but then the screen did that thing when you delete apps and the icons jiggle and have those "X's" in the corner, but then it wouldn't respond and so I shut it off again.
I have already "re-booted" twice by pressing both buttons and letting it reboot with the white apple sign, this has not worked.
Please respond if you know anything to do as I am no longer under warranty, I am an unemployed recent grad and cannot afford to get this fixed!
    Thank you soooo much!

The fact that you said that it's burning hot on the corner I would call apple support anyways andd see what they say.
The digitizer could of went out.

  • I have an iPod Touch 4G and i noticed soon after i bought it that the screen was slightly separated from the back metal plate on the top right corner...

I have an iPod Touch 4G and i noticed soon after i bought it that the screen was slightly separated from the back metal plate on the top right corner, and I didn't have any problems up until a few days ago. The touch screen doesn't work properly in most places, and that is getting very annoying! So, my question is, can I get a replacement and if so which model would i get, the 4g or 5g?( I'm a little confused about which one I would get IF I were to get a replacement.) I would like an answer asap please!

If under warranty and not abused Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one of the same mode.. Sorry, no upgrade.

  • Adobe download needs "edit options" on the top right corner to allow download can't find on screen

trying to download Adobe reader.....directions say for firefox users, "edit options" must add Adobe to list of allowables. I can't find "edit options" in the top right corner ......possibly Windows 7 change???

Those are instructions for older versions of Firefox. Use the "manual installer".

  • What does this symbol (in the top right corner of the screen) mean: a lock icon with an arrow encircling it?

so there's this little icon at the top right corner of my iTouch 32GB (next to the battery icon) that's driving me crazy.
can anyone tell me what it means, and how to get rid of it?
    much appreciated
    b.

It is the Orientation lock.  To disable it or turn it off, double click your Home button and swipe your finger to the right on the Multitasking Bar.  Here you'll see the Orientation lock.  Tap it once to turn it off.
