Hi dears,
I'm using UCM 11g.
I'm trying to start the automatic update cycle. When i start it, it gives me an error message just like :
Indexing aborted at :<time>. Aborting index build. Too many errors with finding and copying files to the appropriate place.+
Can anybody help me about this problem?

Best way to find and copy files

If i have a list of 2000 file names and want to find:
if they exist in folder x
then copy to folder y
else
output an error messege to txt file.
What would the most efficient way to do this be? So far i've used listFiles() and put a >HUGE< directory listing into an Array. Then I did a comparison for each file name in the list against the array. I know this cant be the most efficient way. I posted earlier in the board but for some reason NO one answered. Can anyone suggest and easier way to do this? and what is the best way to copy files in java? opening a bufferwriter etc? Essectially, im doing a restore from multiple backup directories to the original directory. Please help me if you can take the time.

So far i've used listFiles() and put a >HUGE< directory listing into an Array. A directory with a million entries is a HUGE directory, I guess you only have a few thousand.
I wouldn't bother reading the files into memory, you only need 2000 of them.
Then I did a comparison for each file name in the list against the array. The OS will do this for you when you try to open the file, which you will have to do anyway to copy it.
I know this cant be the most efficient way. More efficient way, don't do it at all.
I posted earlier in the board but for some reason NO one answered. Perhaps the problem seemed too obvious.
Can anyone suggest and easier way to do this?
and what is the best way to copy files in java? Copy one at a time.

Coping 2000 files is going to be only as fast as your drive(s) can handle. How you copy the file is less important.

Find and copy files by file name

Hey Gang,
I sure hope you guys can help me out. I'm looking for a piece of software that can read a txt file or spreadsheet to find specific files and copy them from one place to another.
In other words, I have a folder with 1000 files in numerical order from 1 to 1000. I need software that can copy only selected images (ie 4, 53, 244, 456, 999, etc...) to a separate folder.
Any Ideas?

This is very simple to do with a script.
Let's assume that the files are in /Users/cnhoward/source and you want to move particular files to /Users/cnhoward/dest. Let's say you have a text file, numbers.txt, with one number on each line, and the files are named like 'file_X.txt' where 'X' is the number. Then you could do this in terminal:
for n in `cat numbers.txt`
do
cp /Users/cnhoward/source/file_${n}.txt /Users/cnhoward/dest
done
You don't give much in the way of details, but that should give you an idea to start from.

Configuring 404 errors with FastCGI and php files

Hi,
whenever a user triggers a 404, he gets a "No input file specified." error instead of the 404 error we configured in SJSWS 6.1. It looks like anything ".php" is sent to the parser, and if the file doesn't exist, the parser doesn't warn the webserver, but it returns the error directly to the client.
Are there any ways to make it work as it used to be before FastCGI?

Hello !!!
Please help me with resolutions/reasons for the below errors.
While loading data following errors are coming up & also the number of erroneous records when seen through PSA is quiet large (>2000). We neither want to delete the data nor to edit it, as prior to upgrade this InfoPackage used to work perfectly fine
(Please note that system is recently upgraded from BI 3.x to BI 7.0).

Diagnosis
More than 1001 records have been flagged as incorrect. There is probably a system error.

Hi,
I think you are facing an invalid character issue.
This issue can be resolved by correcting the error records in PSA and updating it into the target. For that the first step should be to identify if all the records are there in PSA. You can find out this from checking the Details tab in RSMO, Job log , PSA > sorting records based on status,etc. Once its confirmed force the request to red and delete the particular request from the target cube. Then go to PSA and edit the incorrect records (correcting or blanking out the invalid entries for particular field InfoObject for the incorrect record) and save it. Once all the incorrect records are edited go to RSA1>PSA find the particular request and update to target manually (right click on PSA request > Start update immediately).
I will add the step by step procedure to edit PSA data and update into target (request based).
Identifying incorrect records.
System wont show all the incorrect records at the first time itself. You need to search the PSA table manually to find all the incorrect records.
1. First see RSMO > Details > Expand upate rules / processing tabs and you will find some of the error records.
2. Then you can go to PSA and filter using the status of records. Filter all the red requests. This may also wont show the entire incorrect records.
3. Then you can go to PSA and filter using the incorrect records based on the particular field.
4. If this also doesnt work out go to PSA and sort (not filter) the records based on the particular field with incorrect values and it will show all the records. Note down the record numbers and then edit them one by one.
If you want to confirm find the PSA table and search manually."
Steps to resolve this
1. Force the request to red in RSMO > Status tab.
2. Delete the request from target.
3. Come to RSMO > top right you can see PSA maintenace button > click and go to PSA .
4.Edit the record
5. Save PSA data.
6. Got to RSA15 > Search by request name > Right click > update the request from PSA to target.
This should solve your problem for now.
As a long term you can apply some user exit in source system side or change your update rules to ensure that this field is getting blanked out before getting loaded in cube or add that particular achr to permitted character list in BW (Run TCODE RSKC
Input the <character> and execute the program) This will add <character> to the allowed characters list.

RSKC --> type ALL_CAPITAL --> F8 (Execute)
OR
Run the report RS_ERRORLOG_EXAMPLE,By this report you can display all incorrected records of the data & you can also find whether the error occured in PSA or in TRANSFER RULES.
OR
Go to SE38 and execute the program RSKC_ALLOWED_CHAR_MAINTAIN.

I've too many problems with UserKeyMD object, this don't work, I have a Application which create the DataBase structure, but when try it for create the user key on "x" field in "ABC" table (x field is present on table, is db_Alpha with 8 chars, subtype is st_None) is raised the problem.
I try to create this way the key (VB example):

This program is stopping because too many errors have occurred.

I'm putting a game through QA and they found that the Director Projector throws the following error in Windows 7 when the user switches their windows user.
"This program is stopping because too many errors have occurred."
To test, I created an empty director projector that does nothing but repeat frame 1 and it throws the same error. Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

Has anyone figured out how to fix this problem? It is happening to me in a kiosk that runs 24 hours a day. If I use Log Me In to check on the kiosk remotely, it sometimes throws this error. Log Me In automatically switches to a different user account. After I disconnect from Log Me In session, the error occurs, I suppose when it switches back to the original user.
This is a big problem, any help will be appreciated.

It says too many error records as I have set an allowance of 10000 erroneous records in an attempt to get the transactional loads to work as they are dependant on this extracting successfully. This brought through over 10000 erroneous records.

thought my console was not working but then I realised that I had just reloaded the OS and there were no widgets in the console. so that works, but in the process I found this thread on CNET -- says;
Update prebinding Many cases of application launch-failure can be resolved easily by simply updating prebinding, via the following steps:
Log in as an administrator
Open the Terminal (located in Applications/Utilities)
Type: sudo update_prebinding -root / -force and press Return.
When prompted for a password, enter your admin password, and press Return again. The process may take a few minutes, and you may see various messages flash by. The process is complete when the Terminal returns to a normal prompt.
Type exit and press Return.
Check for the capability to launch the problematic application.

500 errors in the HTTP cycle
Any client (e.g. your Web browser or our CheckUpDown robot) goes through the following cycle when it communicates with the Web server:
Obtain an IP address from the IP name of the site (the site URL without the leading 'http://'). This lookup (conversion of IP name to IP address) is provided by domain name servers (DNSs).
Open an IP socket connection to that IP address.
Write an HTTP data stream through that socket.
Receive an HTTP data stream back from the Web server in response. This data stream contains status codes whose values are determined by the HTTP protocol. Parse this data stream for status codes and other useful information.
