  • Archiving message in Adapter Engine in XI 3.0

    Dear all,
Could you please explain the procedure of Archiving Messages in Adapter Engine in XI 3.0.
I have read many blogs regarding deleting messages in Adapter Engine, but nowhere i can see about Archiving.
I have been told that activating and scheduling "Default Version Archive Job" in RWB->Components->Adapter Engine->Background Processing would solve the purpose.
But while activating, i am unale to set rules, as it gives error " Rules are not allowed for jobs with set 'archive edited messages only' flag."
    Thanks and regards

  • Sequence ID search in archived messages

    Hi All,
I was looking to see if the sequence ID search will work on archived messages? I don't see any technical attributes section for extended search in archived messages tab in message monitoring of PO 7.4 SP6. Any idea?
    thx
    mike

    >>>I was looking to see if the sequence ID search will work on archived messages.
If i go with the help documentation, I don't think that is possible. (In fact i don't see any other option other than Correlation ID under filters, i'm on SP08)
Advanced Message Search - Advanced Adapter Engine - SAP Library
    Technical Attributes
Searching by technical attributes is possible only for the messages displayed in the Database tab. It allows you to find messages whose header contains information about a specific error category, quality of service, IDoc number, IDoc type, IDoc message type, protocol, transport, and many other technical details. You can also search for a message using Correlation ID. You can also use individual elements of Correlation ID like Interchange Number,Sender ID and Receiver ID as search parameters when using the advanced message search. For more information, see Searching EDI Messages using Correlation ID
Note You can use Correlation ID as a search parameter in the Archive database to search archived messages.

  • Want to backup Archive Messages in Nokia X2-qwerty

I tried using Nokia PC Suites but I can't see Archive Message Folder, that folder is in the phone How could I backup them then ? any solution ?
before I started using Nokia X2 about 3 years ago I had kept old messages from friends in SIM message
I archived those message into the phone. (because there is no way to move them to inbox folder) I'm finding a way to store them in pc because the phone now is too old and I'm replacing it with Lumia 920. I really want to move those archive messages to a new phone ,or at least backup them into my computer :/

Are you using Nokia Suite or Nokia PC Suite ..?
With my Nokia X3-00, the Archive Folder is seen on the Nokia PC Suite ..
Also, hope that the phone is connected to the PC ..

  • Cannot Archive messages

I am doing massive mailbox cleanup on behalf of all my users, mostly by moving large numbers of messages to newly created archives. I am moving messages in batches of 2000 or so at a time.
One odd result is that in each batch there are some messages left behind that will not move to archive. I've seen this behavior while archiving messages for two different users so far. And the very strange thing is that for both of these users the messages that won't archive are always FROM the same internal user. However, most of the messages from that internal user DO archive normally.
I've tried several times to re-archive the stubborn messages. They disappear for a moment and then re-appear with no error message. Other than they're always from the same user, there is no apparent pattern; some have attachments, some do not. Messages from that user which DO archive also have no apparent pattern.
    Any ideas about this one?
    Thanks,
    Peter Smick

Not weird. There's something stuck in the common msg db for it. No
mystery as to the behavior, though what's wrong in msg db, I dunno.

Think you have to open an SR. But I asssume you've looked at the
    verbose logs.

  • Archived messages in Mail, after Mavericks upgrade

Just upgraded to OSX Mavericks. Mail is taking FOREVER to load all of my archived messages from my Gmail and Google Apps mail accounts. How can I keep archived messages from showing in the consolidated Inbox?

I also have a problem with unread mail being diverted immediately to Archives. I can't find anything under Preferences about setting up or uninstalling Archives but I sure would like to get rid of it.

  • Trouble archiving messages

    Hi there,
I have the following problem: I recently configured archiving on our XI server that has been running for about eight months. I was able to successfully archive most of the messages, but a couple remained in the
database unarchived. I can display these messages in SXMB_MONI and in report RSXMB_SHOW_REORG_STATUS. According to report RSXMB_SHOW_REORG_STATUS about 186000 messages remain with status 'Marked for deletion' and ' - Asynchr. msgs not in retention period (can be deleted):'. When I do the archiving/deletion, no
messages can be found. I have referenced note 872388 as well as 'archiving checklist', 'archiving and deleting' and 'defining interfaces and retention periods for archiving' in SAP Help. I have also looked at executed most of the programs RSXMB*, but with no success.
Can anyone suggest how I can clean the system and get rid of all the messages?
    Regards,
    Johan Schoeman

    Hi Johan!
I am in the exact same situation you were before.
I have over 225000 messages generated over a handful of months that need to be archived, and archiving configuration was not present for go live!
I created the archive configuration just a couple of days ago. Everything works Ok from that day on, but I cant get archiving to work for those messages that were created BEFORE the archiving configuration was made.
How did you manage to archive such messages? I would really appreciate your help in this subject.
    Thanks in advance,
    Juan

  • How to delete the archived messages?

Archiving is setup and running in our PI systems.  ( I used the SDN doc, "Archive and Delete Messages in SAP. XI: A Step-by-Step Guide")
I'm now looking to automate the deletion of the archived messages (NOT the deletion of the original message in the DB, but the data that has been written out to the O/S -- the actual archived data file.
Any pointers on how to accomplish this?
    Thanks in advance.
    -Joe Rufo

The archive job creates the files in the files system you configured. These files contain the archived messages..
What you can do is run periodic jobs to deletes files which are older than a certain date...
If there are certain types of messages you want to hold on for a longer period...then archive them seperately... and run a different batch job to clear the files...

  • User defined message search on Archived messages in PI 7.31

    Hello Experts,
We are using XMLDAS to archive the messages of the adapter engine into a file system.
User defined search is working fine for the messages in the database, based on the UDMS criteria, in database tab of message monitoring. And as per SAP, "Extracted attributes are archived together with the message and could be used for searching".
But for us,once the messages are archived into a file system, the UDMS criteria is not working from the archive tab in message monitor. We are able to retrieve the messages in the archive tab based on the message id and also the payload content from it but not using UDMS.
Please let us know if we need to do any specific configuration for the UDMS criteria to work on archived messages as well.
    Regards,
    Ram

    Hello Michael,
Please check following links for configuration and re-check.
PI 7.3 – Adapter User-Defined Message Search without TREX
Configuring User-Defined Message Search - Advanced Adapter Engine - SAP Library
Also I believe you are searching for new / fresh messages after you configured UDMS. I believe it will not show up old message list prior to UDMS config.
    Hope it helps

  • TS2998 After upgrading to Snow Leopard, Mail will not let me archive any mail. All archived messages re-appear in my inbox (I have tried archiving and placing in the trash bin).

After upgrading to Snow Leopard, Mail will not let me archive any mail. All archived messages re-appear in my inbox (I have tried archiving and placing in the trash bin). How do i regain control of my inbox?

The main differences that can cause a problem are scripting additions (64-bit vs 32-bit and security reasons) and the usage of dates (it is not as forgiving). AppleScript itself is basically the same, so if empty paragraphs are what caused your problems the update would have just been a coincidence.

    Hi,
If solution given by experts in above replies doesn't work then you can try below method.
What you can do is, take some unique values from message content tab (which came in some specific segment from IDOC)
Now in R3 use tcode WE09 and set the dates when this was processed. Set other filter criteria as much as possible e.g. direction, idoc basic type, port, partner etc and at the bottom you can "Fast search mode" their you give the segment name and it's value.
This will help you get you IDOC.

  • Suddenly archived messages reappear in inbox after I get a new msg in that thread. How can I prevent this?

This is a new problem. I didn't change any account settings that I'm aware of; I can't recall if I installed any updates before it started. It took me a few days to figure out exactly what was going on. At first it just seemed that old, archived messages were reappearing, until I understood the pattern. How can I make this not happen? Help will be greatly appreciated.

This sounds as though it could be a result of using a conversation view, which Thunderbird calls a threaded view. To keep messages in their respective places, try switching to Unthreaded view:
menu > View > Sort by > Unthreaded
Note: if this isn't on the "new" View menu, you can tap the Alt key to display the menu bar temporarily, and then use the classic View menu.
Does that get you where you want to go?
