  • Help request about customizing readings estimation

    Hello,
I'm a new user of this forum and I wolud to ask you some information about customizing of readings estimation.
    In particular I would:
    - bypass standard SAP logics to estimate readings to use custom technique
    - create custom reading type instead standard '03' value
I read previous topics in this forum and I have seen that a possible user-exit to link the new estimation logics could be EDMLELHR. Using SAP I have seen also EDMLELHA user-exit.
I think the second user-exit is better for my case because I want to create reading orders separately respect to estimation process. In fact I have had problems with EDMLELHA user-exit because after having created the reading order (EL01 transaction), in the installation I have seen in the Reading Results sheet an estimated reading. I didn't want an estimated reading, but only the reading order.
Are there way to not activate automatic estimation during EL01? Or are there other user-exit similar to EDMLELHA without this inconvenience?
Finally, how can I do to create a custom reading type after estimation?
I hope I made myself clear
    Thanks a lot

  • Customizing Request Application Flows in OIM 11g?

    To all:
I'm trying to work through a scenario using Request Templates - I'm not sure that this approach is possible using configuration approaches and wanted to see if anyone has any useful feedback. First, let me describe the problem I'm attempting to solve:
    - The users who will be using self-service will be somewhat restricted on what they can do: basically, once they have an account in OIM (this is 'automatic' from a reconciliation - there's no self-registration or user creation) they can request access to a small number of applications.
The ideal flow that we would like to follow is:
Step 1: Log in to OIM.
    Step 2: Create Request
Step 3: Select the Application for requested access and the requested role.
Step 4: Enter an effective date and justification.
    Step 5: Submit
... something 'application focused', not 'resource focused' as the end user community is not particularly aware (nor do they really need to be) about the details of how a user is authenticated.
I can get 'close' to this using a request template, with this flow:
Step 1: Log in to OIM
    Step 2: Create a request.
Step 3: Select a Request Template. (I named the template after the application - "Select App Account")
Step 4: Select Your Resource (only one in this case - restricted to "AD User")
Step 5: Enter information about the AD account. (I can restrict this down to only allow for group selection, which is great.)
Step 6: Enter effective date, justification
    Step 7: Submit
So the only thing I'd really like to 'skip' (or somehow default) is the selection of a resource and skip that step - because the template only allows for a single selection anyway, and having an extra step with a single selection that may only muddle the process would be detrimental to the usability of the request.
Is this a modification that we can make to the request flow ("If only one resource, default and move on") - or will we need to create some form of customized request process using the APIs?
I've dug into the JSF navigation in the iam-console-faces WAR file; it seems that navigation is tied up in the backing beans - has anyone else used Request Templates to meet this type of need?
My thanks in advance for any insight you can provide!

    Dewan.Rajiv wrote:
It's a new flow which Oracle has introduced in OIM 11g. You can't skip that selection until you do modification in OOTB UI.
RO is mandatory thing to raise request so you can go for custom UI (Need ADF Knowledge) in which you'll ask end user to select other things except that Resource and you'll fetch RO name from some configuration file for using in request APIs.Thanks - it looks like customizing the OOTB UI might not be possible - rather than using ADF/Faces configuration files, most of the navigation redirects seem to be 'hidden away' in compiled class files. (My original thought: add some kind of filter and/or extension to an ADF Task Flow that governs the request application flow - but there are not task flow files to modify?)

  • Prompt for Customizing request when saving Sales Employee (VPE1)

    Hi,
When we try to create Sales Personnel through SD Menu path (VPE1), on saving the system prompts for customizing  request. Since this transaction is a master data and we dont transport this data to our production system. Suggest me a way to avoid this transport request while creating Sales Personnel.
We are currently using version 3.1i and upgrading to ECC6.0. In 3.1i we use transaction PAL1 to create Sales Personnel However it will not prompt for Customizing request
Also checked the SAP Note Note 854390 - FAQ: Use of the sales representative in SD without HR
Help me on how to turn off this customizing request. Basis and Security team could not able to turn this off.
    Regards,
    Pradeep Maddi

    hello, friend.
    you have 2 choices:
    1.  create a transport request, save the data but do not release it for transport.
    2.  when the dialog asks you for transport request, just close this.  the system will give you a message about links.  just ignore it.
hope this helped.  reward if so.

  • Work bench request vs Customized request

    Hi,
what is the difference between work bench request and customized request and also let me know types of requsts.
    Thanks,

    Hi Sreedhar,
            Have a look at this

    Transporting Customizing Settings
All system setting changes are put in project-specific change requests. You can transport the system settings into other SAP Systems with the change requests. The change requests are managed in the Transport Organizer.
There are two types of Customizing change requests:
    Customizing request
Customizing requests contain changes to client-dependent tables.
    Workbench request
Workbench requests contain changes to client-independent tables.
You can monitor the change requests by project in the project management. The Transport requests tab contains the following functions for the current client:
    Activate CTS functionality
As prerequisite for creating change requests. When the CTS functionality is active, the pushbutton label changes to Display CTS project data. When the CTS project is finished, the pushbutton label changes to Reactivate CTS functionality.
    Assigned CTS requests
Go to Transport Organizer request overview, where you can create requests for a project.
    CTS project object list
The project object list is unchanged. When the customizing project is finished, the complete object list can be exported.
    CTS project status switch
    Sets the project status switch.
    End CTS project…
End your customizing project. You can reactivate it later.
See transport control by project for further information about the Change and Transport System (CTS) for customizing projects.

  • Customizing requests

    hi all sd gurus
plz send me some information about the transport requests ,and how do we post when do we release?who releases  etc,in realtime work..
i know se09,but what dowe do in that tcode.
    id- [email protected]
    thank u all
    vivek

    Dear Vivek,
You would release the transport using Transction SE09/SE10/SE01. You would release the request in the current server so that it can be imported in QA/PROD etc. Releasing of the requests does not automatically take them in to QA/PROD. You would have to import them.
Transport Layers and Transport Routes are defined based on your system landscape.
BASIS people would <b>import them using transaction STMS</b> in to QA/PROD. Only released requests can be imported.
    Transport Layers and Transport Routes:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/57/38ddff4eb711d182bf0000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
All development projects developed in the same SAP System and transported on the same transport routes are grouped together to form a transport layer.
Before you start the first development project, you create a transport layer in the TMS  transport route editor. This transport layer is assigned to the development system as its  standard transport layer. Objects delivered by SAP belong to the transport layer "SAP". Other transport layers are generally only needed when new development systems are included in the system group.
After you have set up the transport layer you set up the transport routes. There are two types of transport routes. First you set up consolidation routes, and then you set up delivery routes:
    Consolidation routes
To make your changes transportable, set up a consolidation route for each transport layer. Specify your development system as the starting point (source) of these consolidation routes. Specify the quality assurance system as the transport target (in a two-system landscape, specify the production system as the transport target).
Any modified objects that have a consolidation route set up for their transport layer are included in transportable change requests. After the request has been released the objects can be imported into the consolidation system.
If you make changes to objects which have no consolidation route defined for their transport layer, then the changes are made automatically in local change requests (or in Customizing requests without a transport target). You cannot transport them into other SAP Systems.
You can set up one consolidation route only for each SAP System and transport layer.
When you define consolidation routes, note the additional functions available when you use Extended Transport Control.
    Delivery routes
After you have imported your development work into the quality assurance system, you then want to transport it into your production system. You may even want to transport it into several SAP Systems (for example, additional training systems). To do this, you have to set up delivery routes.
Delivery routes have a source system and a target system.
When you set up a delivery route, you are making sure that all change requests that are imported into the route’s source system are automatically flagged for import into the route’s target system.
You can set up several delivery routes with the same source system and different target systems (parallel forwarding). You can also set up delivery routes in sequence (multilevel forwarding).
CTS transport control makes sure that all requests from the development system are flagged for import into all other SAP Systems in the same order in which they were exported. This is important, since different requests can contain the same Repository object or the same Customizing setting at different development levels, and you must avoid overwriting a more recent version with an older version.
    Hope this will help.
    Regards,
    Naveen.

  • Releasing Customizing Request

    Hi All,
I have created a layout in FBL3N in development and saved it as a customizing Request.
While releasing this request it show an error message
"8: Transport carried out with errors.
Individual objects could not be transported successfully"
    How to solve this issue.
    Thanks,
    Bala G

    Dear Markus ,
Thanks for your reply, I am repeating the same with for clear understanding
this customizing request created and released, after releasing the request ( carries 5 objects in main task and 2 in Sub task)
from DEV to PRD , when we opened the same request after importing into PRD we found the main task objects are available but
the subtask or child task objects are missing, we tried recreating a new task and tried but still not working what is the problem
    Hope this is clear?

  • How can I re-release the Customizing request

    Hi,
Yesterday, I released a customizing request to QAS. At the QAS, I used the T-code STMS to check the import request, I could not find out it.
But, today, I released another customizing request to QAS. I can find out it. I don't known what had happened.
Could I re-release the CR? How to deal with this question?
    Waiting for answer, THX
    jk

    Dear all,
Thanks for your time. The problem is still have.
I have released the Task and Sub-task, and I checked the import queue in which there isn't the TR.
I released a new customizing request, it can be find out the import queue.
I think the transport routes maybe have problem at yesterday, so I want to re-transport the customizing request.
Which method can I choose to do that?

  • Creating a new job and position prompts customizing request...

    Dear All,
I created a Job and Position through PP01 transaction. I am facing 2 issues while doing so...
    1. System prompts for Customizing request when i try to save the new entry.
What table/settings do i need to maintain for turning of the customizing request promptings.
    2. Once i save the entries(after entering some dummy customizing requests), when i check the
HRP1000 table for the new jobs and positions... The table entry shows 2 records for each Job and
position. One entry with Plan version '.:' and another with active Plan version '1'.
I need to have just one entry in HRP1000 table for each job/position with ACTIVE plan version.
I checked T77S0 table, it has active plan version maintained against the PLOGI-PLOGI entry.
Please let me know what table i need to maintain to handle my requirement.
    Regards
    Nanda

    Hi Nanda,
When you create new job or position in sandbox system it will not ask for the request number, since you generally dont transport the objects from sandbox to test system.
When you create a new job or position in development system, it will always ask for request number. This is because, in most of the cases, you need to transport the job and position to test system and then to production system.
Without a customizing request  you wont be able to transport those changes to next system.
    Thanks,
    Supriya.

  • Doubt in customizing request with respect to table entries

    Hi All,
I have a doubt in customizing request with respect to table entries.
Suppose I have a customizing request with respect to a table that contains say 10 entries in the development system.
Now I am transporting this request to the quality system in which the same table contains 20 entries.
When I am transporting this table from the development system to the quality system, will my 10 entries in the development system get added to the 20 entries in the quality system or will my table get overwritten in the quality system.
What difference will this be if it is a workbench request ? .
    Regards,
    Sushanth H.S.

    Hello,
So if we are transporting contents of a table from one system to another, it should always be a customizing request and not a workbench request right.
If the "Delivery Class" of the table is 'C'(Customizing table, maintenance only by cust., not SAP import) it will ask for a customizing request.
If it is 'A'(Application table (master and transaction data)), it will ask for Workbench.
To add to your previous qn, when you transport the entries to subsequent system it will always check the KEY FIELDS and then update. If you see a transport, then the table entries are represented by their key fields.
If you create new entries in your table and transport, it will add the records. Else it will modify them
    Hope i am clear.

  • Difference between customizing request and workbench request?

    Hi ,
What is the difference between customizing request and workbench request?
    please reply.........

    HI,
    <b>Workbench Requests</b>
When you change a Repository object of the ABAP Workbench, a query window appears in which you need to specify a Workbench request. You can only save the changes if you have assigned the object to a change request.
Workbench requests and the tasks assigned to them are normally used to record changes to Repository objects and Customizing for all clients. However, you can also include client-specific Customizing.
Whether the changes to Repository objects are transported depends on whether a transport route is defined from the current SAP System for the package of these objects. From the system settings, the system automatically determines whether the change requests are transportable and to which target system they should be transported.
    <b>Customizing requests</b>
Customizing requests record client-specific Customizing settings made in a single client (the source client of the request).
Automatic recording of configuration activities in the Customizing work for a client can be activated or deactivated for each client with Client Control. If automatic recording is active, a query window appears when you change Customizing settings, asking you to specify a Customizing request.
Whether Customizing requests are transported or not, does not depend on the objects entered, as is the case with Workbench change requests. The Customizing requests in an SAP System (or in a client if you use Extended Transport Control) are either all transportable or all local, depending on the system setting. The system uses the standard transport layer to determine automatically whether the change requests are transportable and to which target system they should be transported. However, you can change this manually.
    pl reward if it helps.
    Thanks
    Sadhu Kishore

    Hi All,
I have checked all those things but it didn't help me.
Can you please tell me one thing, if I activated datasouce in LBWE then it should ask for customized request (Correct me if I am write) ?
In my case, I have actiavted all transactional datsouce in RSA5 and its shows in one workbench request in SE09 but while I am trying to activated those datasource from LBWE it's not asking me any customized request.
If assume that it's get stores in workbench request, while transporting this request in production, will it cause me error in production?
Or is there any setting that I am missing?
