About pre loaders

i have a scene in my flash movie that contains photos and
sounds... i want to design a preloader (a progress bar) in another
scene or in the same scene(using another frame) that shows the
download progress of the scene. I know how to design a progress bas
for loading an external image and so by using total bytes and
loaded bytes functions. But in this case i have too many photos and
sounds in the scene and there must be an easy way to do that.
Thaaaanx

It sounds like you have a pretty large SWF file if you're
using photos and sounds in a scene. Scenes aren't the best
presentation structure to use for optimal performance in Flash
Player--they're really only still around for backwards capability.
If you're used to creating scenes, my advice would be to create a
new SWF whenever you want a new scene.

  • Questions About Pre-Ordering/Reserving the iPhone 4?

I know on June 15th you can pre-order/reserving an iPhone 4. I am a bit unfamiliar with the pre-ordering process.
If you can pre-order and pick it up in the stores, does that only mean it guarantees you one on launch day? Also on launch date will there be a separate lines for pre-orders and non-preorders? (So pre-orders go in the store first?)
And if you reserve the iPhone 4 in store pick-up, do you have to pay the whole thing, or just put a certain amount down?
I doubt if anyone knows this question.
What time do Apple Stores open when the new iPhone 4 comes out? I bought my iPhone 3GS last year at launch at AT&T and they opened at around 7 I think, which I read is the same this year.
I'd rather deal with Apple. Do they open around 7 A.M to too?

rather not deal with the crazies and people, id order online and get it shipped to my front door. check with your local Apple store for business hours. i remember att opening a little earlier on launch day for the 3GS, idk about Apple though? id asume both will run it alot smoother for everyone.

  • About Pre-Mapping

    Here my problem:
I use Pre-Mapping which contains a function turning over a value. Until nothing very difficult...
Now, which I must try to make is to stop or not my mapping (RAISE) according to the value of return and to thus be able to use this function in various other mapping (which will stop according to another value of return of the function)... But it is where I block, I do not manage to find how, in OWB, I can make a "RAISE" of Mapping...
For the moment I use procedures which make the in-house RAISE, but in this case I must as many create procedures as of treated cases...
If somebody can inform me on this subject, or same can be to say to me that it is quite simply not possible in OWB..
    It would be brilliant
    Thank you, Sebastien

    Hi Sebastien,
Which version of Warehouse Builder do you use? In the latest release (and I think this was introduced in 9.0.3) you can specify as a PREMAPPING property a Mapping Run Condition: ON SUCCES, ON ERROR, or ALWAYS. In that case, if you raise an error in the pre-mapping process, then you can influence whether or not the mapping runs.
Alternatively, in 9.0.4 or higher, you can define a process flow, use the transformation in the process flow, configure the transformation in the process flow to Use Return as Status to return 1, 2 or 3 to direct the process flow into SUCCESS, WARNING or ERROR respectively.
    Hope this helps,
    Mark.

  • About pre-defined function

    Respected sir,
My name is kiran, I’m studying 3rd year B.Tech. Sir, I have written one predefined function in java which was not present yet. This function performs mathematical operation, calculating “DET” of given matrix of any order. Can this function be included in your coming versions of java? Give me reply sir.My email addresses are:

If you don't know about it,please exact address for whom to contact.
    Thank you,sir.
    Yours sincerely,
    Kiran.

It's pretty cheeky to suggest that your little method
is worthy of inclusion in Java's core API, isn't it?Oh let him take part in the community process... what harm will it do? We all know what the result will be but he can feel a part of it. Nothing wrong with that I don't think and I am not sure that interest is neccessarily cheek.

  • APL & AT&T LIED ABOUT PRE ORDERS TO MAKE STOCK GAINS

I pre-ordered my iPhone5 on 9/14/12 and was told it would ship on 2DAY Express on release date.  They took my money and sent receipt, but they NEVER sent tracking number (to this date, still none received).  I called several times last week, and was told NO, not shipping until Oct 4th.  Asked for refund, I will go to store instead, DENIED!! We don't refund until after u receive product, then take it back to the store!  BULLIES!!  Said I had a better chance in the store!  They said several times "GOOD LUCK".  So now I'm stuck waiting 3 weeks or more for my iphone5 while they use my cash on their stock margins bragging their gains from other victims like me, who paid and don't have the product, while they are also stocking shelves overseas....   Foreigners will have their iphone5 before me, after I paid a over WEEK AGO!!! I am an ORIGINAL IPHONE customer & still have my original as a display.  Why would APPLE & AT&T treat loyal customers this way?  How rude to say "GOOD LUCK" when people are walking out with their phones in an HOUR.... But PRE-ORDERS have to wait weeks for the phone after its released around the world???  Whats the point in Pre Ordering if you will be LAST to get the phone???  I WILL NEVER PRE ORDER AGAIN TO BOOST THEIR STOCKS!!

  • Questions about Pre-amp of the Tascam FW1884 or M-Audio Project Mix...

    Hello everybody,
I'd like to purchase a semi-pro (I hope) audio interface.
The Tascam FW1884 or the M-Audio Project Mix with their "all in one" feature seem to fit for what I want to do.
But I don't know if the Pre-amp or the digital converters are quite good or just awfull.
Are they better or not than the FireStudio from Presonus ?
Since I need at least 8 XLR inputs, the FireStudio seems to be a good choice (but without a remote control, I know...)
Is there someone who have an answer ?
    Thanks
    Vincent
PS : pardon my English, I'm desperatly French

I have a ProjectMix and I like it. There are others that I know that like it, and there are others that don't. I've actually gotten some really nice results at times with it along with my Tube Condenser and Ribbon mics when I need it. I also plug my electric guitar into it, and I like what I get from it. It's not my main interface, but when I do use it for recording, I haven't been disappointed with it.

Post relates to: Pre p100ueu (Movistar)

    Hi,
Check first if you have a data connection icon. You should have Ev, 3G beside the signal bars. If do not have one then you need to contact your carrier to re-activate your phone.
If you have the icon. Just try refreshing the memory by holding down the power button and slide the ringer beside it 3 times. It will restart by itself. Sign-in to the same profile afterwards.
    Hope this helps.

  • About pre-populationg the data in the survey Attached to an activity in CRM

    Hello Gurus,
I have a question regarding Pre-Populating the header data in the survey attached to an activity in CRM Mobile 4.0. That in can we define a Functional module for a PBO (Process Before Output) for a survey  u201CZ_SVY_Templateu201D  in CRM 4.0.
So that when a Sales rep opens the Survey in CRM Mobile 4.0 the Organizationu2019s Header data should automatically be displayed in the u201CZ_SVY_Templateu201D, so that he just needs to fill out only the remaining additional blank fields in the survey.

  • Question about pre-approval for new construction

I am interested in doing an FHA loan for a new construction home. The builder allows buyers to put down only $2000 upfront if you get pre-approved through their preferred lender. My question is do we have to have ALL the monies we need for down payment and closing costs in the bank before the lender will do a pre-approval? We still need to save a bit but I know we will have everything by the time the building is completed and it's time to close on the loan. Any folks out there with experience that can help me understand how it might work? I don't want to be premature on applying for the preapproval but I'd love to start the process soon if possible.

I am a sales counselor with a national home builder. We require preapproval with our lender in order to sign a purchase agreement. AT signing we require an earnest money deposit [not to be confused with downpayment for mortgage purposes] and it varies from $3,000 to $10,000. The EMD is kept in escrow and is returned to the buyer at the closing table. A downpayment is how much money the buyer is bringing to the closing table and that determines how much mortgage money your lender will deliver to the closing table. The EMD can be used for downpayment as it remains the buyer's money. At our discretion, we will allow a buyer to sign a purchase agreement and allow them to save for the downpayment over the 5 months of construction time. It is always preferable that the downpayment money is already sitting in an account up front ... but that is not always the case. It reallly depends on the builder whether or not the downpayment has to be already available at preapproval time.

  • Need info about graphics card supported with pre pro cs5

    Hi,
I checked one information about supported graphics card  about pre pro cs5 on aodbe.com,
    http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere/search_result.html?manuSearchVar=1&modelSearchVar=0 &supportSearchVar=0&brand=&dataFormat=&version=CS5&device=graphic&format=&buttonSubmit=
Under SUPPORT column it is mentioned for ATI and NVIDIA "Legacy support" and "Full support".
What is the difference in "Legacy support" and "Full support"?
I am not able to understand
    Vinay

Premiere will use just about any graphics card to write to the screen so you may see what you are doing
For hardware MPE you must use a specific nVidia card... or a non-supported nVidia card with a small hack
For a list of supported nVidia CUDA cards go to the FAQ

  • HT201272 I pre-ordered an album, but only 2 of the songs from that album are showing up to download. What do I need to do to get the rest of the album that I already bought?

Not sure what is going on here. I pre-ordered an album. One of the songs was available for instant download so I have that in my library now. I received an email saying that the rest of the album is available for download. When I go into my purchased songs as instructed, it only shows 2 other songs from that album. Not sure what I need to do.

    Hi libby2350,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
Depending on your settings, the songs may already have been downloaded to your iTunes library.
The article below will explain how the Pre-orders process works.
If you still cannot find this music on your computer, the iTunes Store Support team will be happy to help you with your order.
    iTunes Store: About Pre-orders
If you've enabled iTunes to automatically download prepurchased content, then your pre-order content may already be downloaded to your library. If not, simply click the download link provided within your email notification, and your pre-order content will begin to download. Alternatively you can use the "Check for Available Downloads" feature in iTunes on your computer by choosing Store > Check for Available Downloadsto begin downloading your pre-order.
I hope this information helps ...
    Have a great day!

  • Best practice for smooth workflow in PrE?

Hi all.  I'm an FCP user for many many years, but I'm helping an artist friend of mine with a Kickstarter video...and he's insistent that he's going to do it himself on his Dell laptop running Win7 and PrE (I believe v11, from the CS3 package)...so I'm turning to the forum here for some help.
In Apple Land (that is, those of us still using FCP 7), we take all our elements in whatever format they're delivered to us and transcode them to ProRes, DVCPro HD or XDCAM...it just makes it easier not to deal with mixed formats on the timeline (please, no snarky comments about that, OK, I turn out broadcast work every week doing this so this method's got something going for it...).  However, when I fired up PrE I see that you can edit in all sorts of formats, including long-GOP formats like .mts and mp4 files that I wouldn't dream of working with natively in FCP...I don't enjoy staring at spinning beachballs that much.
Now, remembering that he's working with a severely underpowered laptop, with 2 gig of RAM, and a USB2 connection to his 7200 rpm "video" drive...and also considering that most of the video he'll be using will come in two flavors (AVHCD from a Canon Vixia 100, and HDV from a Canon EX-something or other), what would be the best way to proceed to maximize the ease at which he can edit?  I'm thinking that transcoding to something like Motion-JPEG or some other inter-frame compressed AVI format would be the way to go...it's a short video and he won't have that much material so file size inflation isn't an issue...speed and ease of processing the video files on the timeline (or do they call it a "Sceneline") is.
Any advice (besides "buy another computer") would be appreciated...

Steve, thanks, this is helping me now.
I mention MJPEG because, as an Interframe compression method, it's less processor-intensive than GOP style MPEG compressions.  Again, my point of reference is the Mac/FCP7 world (so open my eyes as to how an Intel processor running Win7 would work differently), but over there best practice says NOT to edit in a GOP-base codec (XDCAM being the exception which proves the rule, eg, render times), but to transcode everything from, say, h264 or AVCwhatever into ProRes.  YES, I know PrE (and PPRO) doesn't use ProRes...not asking that.  But, at least at this juncture, any sort of a hardware upgrade is out of the question...this is what he's gonna be using to edit.  Now if I was going to be using an underpowered Mac laptop to try and edit, I most certainly would not try to push native AVCHD .mts files or native h264 files through it...those don't even work well with the biggest MacPro towers.  What is it about PrE that allows it to efficiently work with these processor-intensive formats?  This is the crux of the issue, as I'm going to advise my friend to "work this way" and I don't want to send him down the garden path of render hell...
And finally, your advice to run tests is well-given...since I have no experience with PrE and his computer, I guess that's where we'll start...
