Accepting calendar Invitations and IOS8.02

Since upgrading to iOS 8.02 on my iPad Air i have noticed numerous calendar invitations from my wife that appear in my calendar but when I click OK I am not able to accept them.  I was able to accept them on my iPhone 6 and iCloud.com but not on the iPad Air.  I have had the same problem with other appointments where I could accept them on the iPad Air but not on the iPhone 6.  The invitation appears in the calendar but I still have the INBOX (1), indicating the invitation was not accepted.  Killing the calendar app and rebooting all devices has not solved the issue.  Also accepting them in iCloud.com has not solved the problem.

I have the same issue. It seems crazy to go to the trouble of setting up MobileMe calendars to enable them to be accessed from Mac, iPhone, iPad etc yet only be able to add an received invitation to a calendar on the Mac with no apparent way of moving it into one of the MobileMe calendars. Even odder as one can create a new event in an "On My Mac" calendar and later move it to an "[email protected]" calendar. Why not a received event?
I hope I am missing something. Any ideas out there?

  • Accepting calendar invites with 2 exchange accounts on iPhone?

    My setup:
    iphone 4S - 5.1.1
2 Exchange server accounts (1 home, 1 work).
When I get sent a calendar invite from Work, I accept it on my iPhone and it goes back to sender with my personal email address.  How do I prevent this? It didn't use to do this, it would accept the calendar invite and return with the work email.
    Help??

When you accept the appointment, is it in your business calender or in the private one?
When it goes back, is it your e-mail-adress or the signature that is wrong (you know, only one signature for both accounts unless you update to iOS6, which can handle separate sigs for each acccount).
I recommend setting your business calender as default (Settings>Mail, contacts...>Calender>"Default"

  • How to accept calendar invitation on a new email address ?

So have my apple id email address, calendar ... But just got a new email address and would like to be able to accept calendar invitation on this new email address. How to I link that new email address to my existing apple id/calendar ?

It is not clear what steps you have actually taken so excuse this if you have already got it covered...
Once you have postfix confiured to accept submissions on another port then it should only need incoming traffic on that port to be port-forwarded to the server where postfix is listening for it. So if your server is also doing the firewall interface to net, then simply opening the required port should be enough.
Have you configured postfix's master.cf file to accept alternative port submissions?...

  • Can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent show as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving them either (PIN Message Status : Service Blocked)

I recenly changed device from BB Curve 8530 to BB Bold 9900 and ever since then can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows only as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving them either. Tried sending PIN messages  but  I got a red x next to the message and the status says: "Service Blocked" .
When my phone got lost, I was lucky that I just synchronized my device to my BB Desktop. Not only was I able to retrieve my contacts (phonebooks and BBM) but also ALL txt msgs and even call logs
Anway, that happening, I assumed I don't need to re-send all my BBM friends invites since some were able to communicate with me. But for those who have deleted my profile (knowing it got lost) and were still on my contact were the ones affected. I tried deleting them and sent an invite only to find out that: I can't accept BBM invitations and Invites sent shows as "Pending for Authorization" but recipients are not receiving any. (they also have the same pending for authorization notice on their end)
When I tried to send them a PIN message I get a red x next to the message nd get the service blocked message.
Help I do not know what else to do.
** FYI: new contacts added with my new PIN have no prob sending invites and me accepting them all.

This issue is most likely Caused by the BlackBerry not being provisioned for BlackBerry Data Services.
Please have a look at the following article that covers "Service Blocked" when sending a PIN message:

  • How do I accept or decline a calendar invitation in iOS8 without sending a response?

This specific scenario is Exchange 2013 and iOS8.
I want to be able to accept/decline/tentative in response to a calendar invitation from my iPhone without sending a response to the inviter.
I do not think Exchange probably has anything to do with it, but that is the set up.
    Thanks!

Decline a call and send it directly to voicemail. Do one of the following:
Press the Sleep/Wake button twice quickly.
Press and hold the center button on your headset for about two seconds. Two low beeps confirm that the call was declined.
Tap Decline (if iPhone is awake when the call comes in).
Respond with a text message instead of answering. Tap Message and choose a reply or tap Custom. To create your own default replies, go to Settings > Phone > Respond with Text, then tap any of the default messages and replace it with your own text.
Remind yourself to return the call. Tap Remind Me and indicate when you want to be reminded.

  • Accepting calendar invites puts appointment at wrong time

When I get a calendar invite via Mail on my iPhone 3GS (iOS 6.1.3) and accept it,  it puts
the appointment in the calendar based on the invite time basis (eastern time) rather than converting it
to my iPhone time zone (mountain time).    If I pull that same email invite up on my iMac Mail program and click on the
link then accept it, iCal on the iMac places it at the right time.   And, when I sync the iPhone with the iMac,  the appointments transfer correctly.
I have time zone support on settings set to mountain time on the iPhone.   Is there some other setting I have to make to
have the iPhone "read" these invites correctly?  Any clues as to getting this corrected would be appreciated.

    Hello Bruce,
Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities.  You may need to turn off the Time Zone Support for the calendar entries to match your current time zone on your iPhone:
If you do not use Time Zone Support, your iOS device will default to the current clock setting. iOS devices that are location aware will automatically set their time zone, date, and time using Location Services. You can verify your current date and time settings in Settings > Date & Time.
To disable Time Zone Support for calendars
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    Scroll down to Calendars.
    Tap Time Zone Support.
Slide the slider for Time Zone Support to OFF.
You can find the full article here:

I hope this helps get you back on track!
    All the best,

  • What can I do to accept calendar invitations when I receive an error message 403?

Freqently, when I try to accept a calendar invitation from someone, I receive the message error noted below.  It gives me the options to: ignore, try again or revert to server.  I want to keep the item in my calendar but I keep getting this error message that demands a response.   It pops up repeatedly and is very annoying.
"The Server responded with an Error.  Access to “xyz Meeting” in “Work” in account “iCloud” is not permitted.  The server responded: “403” to operation CalDAVWriteEntityQueueableOperation."

Interesting suggestion, but it's not clear to me how I would do that if I'm not using an "(at) icloud.com" email address/account. I am having the same problem with changed invitations that come from an organizer who is using Google Apps. My email account is hosted at my ISP - it's not obvious to me how I can use iCloud to access that email account (and therefore the changed invitation). Suggestions?

  • Cannot accept Calendar Invitations in ical Caldav calendar

    Hi,
I have a SL server with Ical2 server. In my client I set up the caldav calendar (not subscribe). When I get a mail with invitation, and I click twice the invite doesn't appear in my caldav calendar, but if I drag it, It works good, but I cannot accept, decline the invitation. When I press accept It doesn't send any respones to the sender. What is the problem?
    thx

I have this issue too. It seems that this may be a limitation of iCal or iCal Server

  • Accepted calendar invites notification.

I am using iPhone 4S on iOS 6.0.1.
I find it weird that when I send out calendar invites to my friends I don't receive any notification on their reply for that invite.
    For example:-
My wife accepted the invite but I do not get any notification she has replied "Accepted" unless I go into the calendar and view that particular event I have created to invite her.
My notification is turned on even at locked screen so I should be able to receive all notifications for the calendar but I didn't get the notification from her Accepted reply.
Anyone having the same problem? Anyone knows how to set this right?
    Thanks!

Sorry, wunder. I only just saw your reply to this. Yes, I'm still experiencing the same problem. The only workaround I've found is to enter a duplicate appointment.

  • TS3999 My iPhone 5 is no longer able to accept calendar invitations. When I click on accept nothing appears in my calendar

Never done this before. Hope someone can answer my question. My calendar on my iPhone won't show accepted invitations on my calendar anymore. Seems like it stopped working after update last fall

You're welcome.  There are many blurred lines with respect to iOS 8 photo management -- i.e. is the photo actually on the device, or only in iCloud?  If it is in iCloud only, and you put it into an album on the iPhone, does it get downloaded to the device and is it still full resolution?
Part of the problem may be that there are still some unfinished things with respect to photos.  The "iCloud Photo Library" feature seen in pre-iOS 8 release is still in beta form, so whenever that gets full release there could be some sense in all this.  There's also the pending replacement of iPhoto and Aperture on the Mac platform, slated to be replaced by a new "Photo" app, so that may play into the big picture on photo management.
But for the time being, I don't feel that the changes to photo management in iOS 8/ iCloud have been for the better.  I can only hope that we get a more elegant photo management process with these pending changes.

  • Why won't my 3GS accept calendar invites?

I'm using an Exchange server through work.  I have made sure that my email address matches up between the Exchange server and my settings.  I'm receiving all of my emails, and i'm receiving invitations to meetings - but when I "accept" them from the iPhone: 1) it no longer shows as tentative on my iPhone calendar, which is correct; but 2) when I tap on the calendar item, it opens to the invitation again, rather than opening the actual calendar item.  Any suggestions on how I can fix this?
The reason it's a problem is that people include the dial-in information to conference calls in the "notes" field in outlook, and you can't see that on the invitation on the phone.
    Thanks!

bumping - anyone have any thoughts?  Thanks.

  • Calendar Invites and Accounts

    Hi there...
I have my iPhone 5, iPad Mini retina and Macbook pro all perfectly synced and happy using iCloud.
    My set up is
    iCloud: Sync Everything
2 Exchange Accounts (for WORK only): Set up to sync/push Mail ONLY
    Facebook: Syncing Contacts and Calendars
The invites system is working perfectly well between myself and my partner's iPhone and iPad using shared and personal calendars...
What is bugging the **** out of me is that whenever I have an appointment that I need to invite my partner to, I start typing  her name or email address in, but the options that get offered are the email addresses for not just iCloud (my partner, for example) but also ALL of the contacts in the exchange accounts...!
Bearing in mind this is NHSmail... It's not just offering up the FEW nhs emails (exchange) that I have saved in my contacts... but ALL of the contacts available in the NHSmail/Exchange system.
I have checked all 3 devices (my partner doesn't have any exchange accounts at all) IPad, iPhone 5 and MacBook... and ALL of them only have the exchange accounts marked for syncing mail (so I receive it) and not calendars or contacts.
I have checked internet account settings on macbook, calendar preferences (accounts) on MacBook calendar, and Mail/Contacts/Calendars->Accounts on the portable devices.
Basically everywhere I look the Exchange accounts are set for mail only and nothing else... So why all these thousands of other email addresses accesible to me when I want to invite from my calendar..???
    Any help much appreciated..!!

I should say as well.. that as far as I can see, the ONLY thing active for the Exchange accounts on all devices is Mail...
So I'm wondering if, despite everything else being switched off in the Exchange accounts, whether having even JUST the Exchange mail active is allowing Apple calendar to somehow access the whole Exchange global contacts list... When I only want it to access iCloud.
Apart from being able to access and download email, I want my work and personal information kept apart... If there are contacts within Exchange that I MIGHT want to contact outside of work.. I have them in iCloud.

  • Can't accept outlook invites in iPhone calendar app

    Hi everyone,
Here's my problem: I have been using my iPhone 4 for about a year now, syncing the calendar via MobileMe first and then via iCloud. All this time I haven't been able to accept calendar invites on my phone. The functionality on my phone in steps:
I receive an Outlook invite as email, open the mail, scroll to bottom, open the ICS attachment.
The attachment opens up showing organiser, invitees, time, etc. In the bottom I have a button "Add to calendar"
I press the "Add to calendar" and the event display closes, I'm back in my mail app. Apparently, when I press "add to calendar" an automated reply is sent, saying I've tentatively accepted. I have to wait until I'm at my MacBook to accept or reject the meetings.
Any ideas on how and where I could fix this? Is this a setup issue?
So, I'm using iPhone 4 with a MacBook, both about a year old. All software is updated, syncing via iCloud.

    Hello Nelson,
On Lightning, to create your calendar access you need to fill an address like the following one:
    http://<hostsname>:<port>/caldav/<organization>t/principals/individuals/<username>
    On your browser --> http://hostaname:port/caldav
Then you need to proceed with the authentication, then after the organisation name choose
    - principals
    - individuals
    - you should see the <username> value
    - and then you will see the CalDav url you need to enter in Lightning to access your Calendar. From this point you should be able to see all the meeting created on Outlook and accept the future invitation.
    Hope that answer your question
    Regards
    Fred

  • Calendar Invite Accepted Message Keeps Being Sent

I've now sent something like 100 Accept messages for a calendar invite I accepted on my phone. This is not the first time it's happened when accepting calender invites, and I can't make it stop. The person who sent the invite is getting quite annoyed. It seems to send 5 or so accept messages a day. Has anyone else seen this?

I am also seeing this. We have about 30 phones deployed and 3 or 4 meeting organizers are getting multiple responses from about 3 or 4 iPhone users. Has anybody found a work around or solution?
