Access Content Server Pos-installation Configuration

Hello,
I am new with Oracle ECM, I am starting to use it for Webcenter requirements.
I have installed succesfully Oracle Content Server. I accessed http://localhost:16200/cs, and it showed me the post-installation configurations.
I made some changes and restarted the server. I then realized I had made some mistakes. How can I access the configuration screen again, and make some changes? Thank you.
Joao

Hi
That config screen does not show up a second time .
If you want to make modifications to the configurations then make them in<domain_home>/ucm/cs/config/config.cfg
After the changes are done UCM restart should be done .
Thanks
Srinath

  • Content Server 10gR3 installation problem on Windows 7

    Hi,
I just started working on UCM. I tried to install Content Server 10gR3 on my machine with Windows 7 OS. When I try to install, the installation suddenly aborts or hangs until I abort it. Web server (Apache) and DB (Oracle 10g) are running fine.
System has got adequate configuration: Enough Disk space, 2GB RAM and 2 GHz CPU
The same installer worked perfectly on Windows XP Pro 2002 SP2. Can some one reply if UCM 10g is support on Windows 7 ? This, however, is only for learning purpose on my home PC and not for production use.
I also tried running the installer in Windows XP compatible mode. But this didn't help me either. Do, I need to install Win XP to run it or is there any alternative to make it run on Windows 7.
    Thank you
    Rama

    Hi Srinath,
Thanks for your prompt reply. Could you also please let me know if there is any advanced version of UCM (like 11g) that works on Windows 7 - before I go for a windows XP installation.
    Thanks again

  • Content Server - Disassociated installation

    Hi,
I have done the following installations.
    Linux machine1 - Content Server 10gR3
Linux machine2 - Oracle AS 10gR3 with Apache server (using this as web server)
    Linux machine3 - Oracle DB 10gr2
In "install_cserver_unix_10en.pdf", under Section F2.2 - Configuring web server system, it states I have to copy "[Instance_Dir]\idcplg", but I don't see this folder in my Content Server installation.
Without completing this particular step, when I try to login to the server, I get the error "The Server is unavailable. Unable to connect to address.".
Is the error related to that particular step or did I miss any other setup?
BTW i followed the instructions provided in install_cserver_unix_10en.pdf for my installation.
Can anyone please point me to a solution?
    Thanks
    Raji

Check that you are running IdcAdmin and IdcServer on the Linux Machine1.
It appears that idcplg is not needed on solaris installations with sun's webserver.

  • Content Server Post Installation

While doing Post Installation of Content Server , Userid& password are asked in csadmin tcode, but "superdba" & "control"  are not getting accepted. What is the user id& password to be given in "CSAdmin" tcode. Please convey the procedure for creation of Content Repository & Content Server Configuration and usage.

    Hi,
the transaction is asking for an user/password combination for the KW website within the Internet Information Server. It was not asked for the MaxDB users.
First try http://<contentservername>:<1090>/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo as URL. You also will be asked for an username/password. Try a username that exists on the Windows server where the content server is running on, e.g. local administator
    Hope that helps.

  • Accessing Content Server documents directly

    Hi All,
Due to our business being wound up we are mothballing our SAP systems. Currently we have Invoices stored in our Content Server, what we want to know is can we set up access direct to these Invoice Images without having to use SAP (if it was turned off) to access the images directly, can we access the content if we use/extract the object link held in table TOA01?
    Thanks
    Simon.

I would advise to ask in Weblogic and/or Identity Management forum, too.
With 11g, UCM is a J2EE application running on an application server. If yours runs behind the proxy, but your still need an access from the outside world, there are definitely ways how to achieve that (and in fact, it has very little to do with the fact that the application is UCM). I believe that before the right solution can be proposed, you will have to answer few questions (you mentioned SSO - does it apply for external users too?; what is the port number that UCM runs on? what's the overall architecture - clustering, load balancing, etc.?). It should be better if you are asked by someone who has done something similar before.

  • Do we need an External Content Server to be configured with OLM

Would like to know if an external content server is mandatory for Oracle OLM on R12.
I have read notes that Content Servers cannot be hosted on the middle tier of Ebiz but have also been told from other sources
that it can be hosted but has some limitations interms of file types supported.
Would like to know if the above is true and if so what are the limitations

    Hi Muthu,
An external content server is not mandatory for OLM rel. 12.
You can use an OLM content server, an external content server or any other server that can serve up the content based on URL's.
Oracle does not support an OLM Content Server being hosted on the eBiz middle tier, even if it has been seen to be working in some installations.

  • Content Server 640 installation on Windows

    Hi

    Hi Pavan,
Make sure permissions are set as below note (even though is says 6.30 it applies to 6.40) regarding "NETWORK_SERVICE" user.
Note 658442 - SAP Content Server 6.30 on Windows 2003 servers
    Also, read
Note 851146 - ODBC driver cannot be loaded on Windows 2003
That most likely will fix the problem

  • Accessing Content Server custom metadata in search results

    Hello,
Is there way to access custom metadata from the Webcenter Spaces search results page? I'm trying to customize the searchResultsFragment.jsff page to have certain results' url be created differently depending on their custom metadata.
I've noticed that each result is stored in a variable called "row" and attributes of that variable are accessed with row.title, row.authors, row.comments, etc. Is there a list somewhere of attributes that can be called from row?
Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

I think this depends on how you're calling the webservice. if you're using the 11g-method of using the Generic service, it should work ootb. If you're using the 10g-method, then you need to update the soap service's response params to include your custom metadata. OOTB it has a complex type that only includes some standard metadata, but no custom.

  • ECM11g: How to enforce HTTPS access for Content server console

    Hi,
We have a requirement of accessing Content Server console (https://<hostname>:<port>/cs) with https protocol only. If a user sends a http request (http://<hostname>:<port>/cs) it should get converted to https.
The managed server is running with non SSL port. The request is comming from Apache where we have used the parameter "WLProxySSL" to enforce the https, however its not getting enforced for Content Server URL.
Any help in this regard is highly appreciated.
    Thanks.

Sorry, I forgot to say that
i don't want to use the popup
    window that appears when JWS
    encounter an URL that requires
    basic authentication.
In fact, I don't want to have to enter
    login/password for updates each time
I start my application with JWS.

  • SHarepoint as SAP Content Server Configuration

Actually this message is for Espen Leknes because I have read something from him i another message but if you guys know about this, all will be wellcome !!!!!!!
This is Andrea, Basis COnsultant. I am writing to you because I was reading lot of messages in SAP SDN regarding DMS and SAP Content Server.
I saw you have participated in lot of messages. I am specially interested in one of them which is about Sharepoint.
The customer I am working in would like to use Sharepoint as global Content Server and I would like to configure Sharepoint as SAP Content Server in order to save documents and attach them to sap objects (scanned invoices, manuals, cad drawings, etc)
I know it is not possible since Sharepoint is not SAP certified and http inteface from SAP (archivelink) does not work with this product.
I have read about Inet.DM and thinks like this.
I read you have configured SHarepoint as WebDav. In some post you have written:
    Hi guys,
There is a third way, where you end up using Sharepoint as your content server
    1. COnfigure a content server to use file storage
    2. COnfigure the file area for webdav
    3. The webdav is the sharepoint webdav
Voila, you are using sharepoint as your content server.
Why the heck you would do that is beyond me, but it works.
    Ok, the question is:
I am using ECC60 and I dont have file storage option.
Is is possible to explain this again or sent me screenshots os OAC0 ?? It would be very useful.
Thanks so much in advance for this.
    Andrea

  • Configuring an access/console server

    Hey there,
    I'm configuring an access/console server.
I configured aliases for my devices.
    cp-ext-s1             telnet 192.168.41.11 2011
      cp-ext-s2             telnet 192.168.41.11 2012

      cp-ext-r2             telnet 192.168.41.11 2014
But when I do a sh session, the host column is an ip address but I want this to be the device name.
I tried adding a few ip host commands:
    ip host cp-dmz-s1 2010 192.168.41.11
    ip host cp-ext-r1 2013 192.168.41.11
    But that didn't help.
    CP-CS1#sh ses
Conn Host                Address             Byte  Idle Conn Name

I'm sure I'm overlooking something stupid.

can you post the complete config of the console server or verify your settings with this doc:
