Access denied, random pages in CA

Hi folks.
Yes another access denied issue, none of the existing threads have helped, and I need help.
I'm getting on random CA pages
Sorry, this site hasn't been shared with you.
The account is the setup account, local admin, SQL SA, SharePoint Farm Admin, sometimes if I restart the browser (clear cache) I can get access to the page.
I've tried with another account, and again random pages access denied.
I've tried with another browser, and again random pages access denied.
In most cases it's to a service app page; eg Configure User Profile Synchronization Connections, but I have access to Manage Profile Service, but may be not to "My sites settings" if I leave it a little while or close the browser I get
access.
I've checked the Service App permission and manager, my account(s) are there.
I've checked IIS directory perms.
I've launched the browser as "Administrator".
This only affects CA, all my other web apps work fine.
I've tried from the local server, and from remote PC.
If I keep trying the link I eventually get access... 3-15 tries.
Any help appreciated.
Authentication is using NTLM.

yes I am talking about the Profile on server not SharePoint profile...
so make sure c:\user\default and farm admin user are correct not corrupted...we had same issue with one of our VM farm...in our case fix was delete the farm admin account from the server, reboot and trying to login with it...fix the issue...
so 1st check try to login with farm admin account...

Hi Scott,
I am facing a similar kind of problem. I am using :P101_USERNAME only in login page to check for user name and password. I have not used it in any of the further pages.
But i am still getting the error "Access denied by Page security check". Please suggest me some solution.

I have an authorization scheme that I'm using, and I'd like for it to redirect to the login page when authorization fails instead of displaying the standard error screen. How can I do that?
Also, is it possible to have page not found errors redirect to the login screen?

In the PL/SQL code of your authorization scheme, you can always do:
apex_application.g_unrecoverable_error := true;
owa_util.redirect_url('f?p=&APP_ID.:1');
return true;
This will redirect to page 1 (via the login page and then to page 1 after authentication, so change '1' to whatever you want).
About "page not found" errors, no.

Inconsistent "access denied" on publish

I am at wits end. Am working on a project that involves some editing of one area on client's internal website. Used Contribute just fine for this last year. Now...
When I try to Publish certain pages, I get the "Access denied. Page may not exist or there may be a permission problem." That is, this problem had existed on only SOME pages. Now, I can't publish on any of them.
The permissions are set correctly for me to publish.
No-one else has pages open. (Nobody in the organization knows how to use C anyway.)
I would gladly pay someone to help with this. Hope someone can help.

No, the thread did not help. I had inconsistent "access denied" on publish for version 3 before I downloaded the trial new version. Same problem on version 5. Now I can't publish at all on any pages AND when I open version 3 it says the version is too old. Thought I'd uninstall 5 but it's the only version showing up. Can't imagine what's going to happen when the trial runs out.
Anyway. Still need to fix the original problem.

Make sure you have cookies enabled and clear your cache. If it continues to fail try using a different browser.
You can also download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.

Get AccessControlException(access denied) when refresh page

Our applet have AccessControlException when refresh the ie browser but the first time open no such a problem! And when we use other host which use a different proxy no such a problem either. Don't know why , is it the problem of proxy?

The security credentials for a JMS "send" operation are not taken from the username and password that you pass to the "createConnection" method, but from the security login context in effect when you call "send". So, if you want this to happen using a particular security context, you need to make sure that you have set this up before you make the call.
There are a number of ways to do this in WLS. Your best bet would be to check the security documentation, or do ask on the security newsgroup for the best way to do this in 8.1.

How to set custom access denied pages in SharePoint 2013?

in SharePoint 2010 custom access denied or other error pages could be easily set by setting the new path to the webapp-properties by using webApp.UpdateMappedPage. In SharePoint 2013 this seems to be ignored. The MSDN-entry seems to be out of date and just
copied from SharePoint 2010:

A possible workaround could be writing a HttpModule that checks the requested url for accessdenied.aspx and redirects to a custom page but there must be another more best practice way to achieve this behaviour??

I found a workaround to redirect to a custom access denied page but I'm not happy with it.
I created a HttpModule which uses static method SPCustomRedirect.RegisterRedirectHandler to register a class inheriting ISPCustomRedirectHandler to the current HttpContext. In this class there is a method GetRedirectUrl that returns the path to my custom
access denied page.
Now at last a value must be written to the HttpRequest.Querystring named "CustomRedirect". But to add something to the QueryString-NameValueCollection I must use reflection to make it writable because it's readonly. After setting the value, I reset the property
to readonly.
For clearness, I post the code-snippet from the HttpModule below:

JSF Page Access Denied for Jdeveloper 12 C

I had using J developer 12 C and Created one JSF page with Displaying two tables on that page... The content not displaying it shows Access Denied.

Is it related webcenter portal.I don't think so. If it is pure ADF problem.You can post this in jdeveloper forum too.
Is there any security restriction on the table by adf security or some other security.
In the table source code in empty text property it is mentioned as

Random Access Denied Errors in Document Library

We have an issue ongoing in our environment where randomly a user will be attempting to upload a document to a document library that they have appropriate contribute rights to, and they will receive an access denied error. This happens to external customers
who are authenticating via LDAP credentials that they have been provided. I am seeing no errors in the logs that show the users actually receiving an Access Denied error.
The users are uploading 1-3 pictures or pdfs one at a time. The error will occur randomly during the upload process.
Any help with this matter is appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. It is random users, right now its about 5 people it is happening to. When I say it is random, I mean that they may be able to upload 2 out of their 3 pictures or .pdfs and then on the third the error occurs (Just an example).
I have not used fiddler and I have not checked IIS Logs but I will do so, the next time it occurs.
What specifically would I be looking for in our AAM settings? I can't think of anything that would cause the issue to behave so intermittently.

Every time I try to download Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 after purchasing, I get a page that says 'Access Denied'.

After purchasing Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 I go to download the product and receive a link to a page that say 'Access Denied'. This happens when I try to download the trial, use the Akami downloader, and when I try to download the file directly. Any suggestions on fixing the problem?

Once you have clicked on download, it download Adobe download assistand and From there you can download Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 and install it with your serial number.

Designing look and feel for sharepoint 2013 master page using Dreamweaver but gives below error and it works using notepad. I have full access to DW and Sharepoint site.

Access denied coming for pages in mysite for the first time.

I am having a strange issue in mysite. i have customized the mysite pages. suppose organisationview.aspx i have simply opened in advanced mode and saved in sharepoint designer so that the page is now saved in content database. Then for the first time when
user access the page they will get access denied. Again if they go back to site and take the page again the page will be loaded. Now if the user tries this again after 5 minutes then again the issue will come. But if the user is given contribute permission
in mysite the issue will not come.
I want to give only read permission to the users. Please help me in identifying the cause of the issue and the resolution.

Open the catalog using Catalog Manager and set permissions to specific groups and apply recursively.
ex:
select folder->Permissions->Add Presentation Server Administrator set to Full Control
Check for Apply Recursively

Safari will not load pages cache access denied

I am on 10.7.5 and a proxy server. While tying to get the server to stop asking for my password every 60 seconds and following advice on this forum, something seems to have happened and safari stopped loading pages. The message regarldless of the page is:
Cache Access Denied.
The following error was encountered while trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.apple.com/
Cache Access Denied.
Sorry, you are not currently allowed to request http://www.apple.com/ from this cache until you have authenticated yourself.
Please contact the cache administrator if you have difficulties authenticating yourself or change your default password.
Firefox and Chrome work fine - except they still ask for my password at regular intervals.
I managed to transfer my bookmarks to firefox and am just wondering if this is worth it anymore. DO I really need safari? You cannot even re-install it! You have to do the whole operating system. Or should I migrate to Mavericks and a new upgraded safari? I am fed up of trying endless work arounds that simply do not work for me. Emptying caches, disabling extensions, dumping prefs etc

Re trying to get the proxy server to stop asking me for the password, all the steps you recommended which I no longer remember. Something about making sure the proxy settings were in the keychain and open to all applications, then coy to the system keychain. Repair permissions. Tons. Oh and in terminal the following:
sudo launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.apple.UserNotificationCenter.plist
which I think had a major negative impact but I do not know how to reverse it.
I guess I am not advanced to fix these things. Have gone to an internet cafe with normal non-proxy high speed internet and am downloading mavericks now because I am fed up with trying to fix something that never fixes. Safari works here.
Hoping that the uptodate safari will be better.

WRT54G unable to access random pages

i have the WRT54G ver 5.1 and just upgraded the firmware from 1.00.6 to 1.01.1. some time after the update, i cannot access some pages - browser instantly shows the "page cannot be found" message and ping request instantly suggests to check the entered url, as if the router woun't even forward the requests and just drops them. then again, maybe 15 minutes later, i can access the same pages perfectly fine, yet some other pages stop working. sometimes DHCP RELEASE/RENEW helps, but also for a short period of time, then the router starts acting erratically again. i'm clueless.

Hi……
After upgrading the Firmware you need to reset the router by holding and pressing the reset in the back panel of the router for 30seconds. Then reconfigure the router.
Then check your internet connection through the router.
If the connection drops again then connect one your pc to the router and log into the setup page of the router http://192.168.1.1 username leave blank and the password is admin. On the setup screen lower the MTU to 1396 and then power cycle the whole network [unplug the power to the router and the modem and plug them back in]
