Access to Analytics Catalog Charts in XI 3.0

Hi,
Do we need to install anything u2018extrau2019 to get Analytics Catalog charts working for Business Objects XI 3.0?
Keep getting the following error message when accessing Analytics Catalog-> Metric Analytics section via Infoview.
u201CEither this document was not found in the system or you are not authorized to view itu201D
Have issue accessing all the charts under Metric Analytics.
I installed the standard BOXI 3.0 using the default
          - Tomcat, MySQL, W2K3
Checked user have full access to PM application and also confirmed PM License Key been added via CMC.
     Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Ken

Hi Jacques,
If user doesnu2019t have SQL D/B server installed on their server, this mean they will not be able to use the PM Demo. This also imply u2018Analytics Catalog chartsu2019 will not be available for them to use.
As mentioned in the past notes, I was only able to resolve the missing Analytics Catalog charts issue by installing PM Demo.
Since customer does not have SQL DB server as they uses Oracle D/B, they basically left with no Analytic Catalog charts to view. Am I correct to assume that?
Is there an alternative way to retrieve Analytic Catalog charts outside PM Demo?

  • Why can't I access the app catalog?

I have a Verizon palm Pre Plus and when I try to access the app catalog I get this:
The action could not be completed. Try again later.
When I go online and send the app to my phone and then use my phone to click the link it gives me this same message again.
My phone is fully updated to the latest OS. I should add that before I updated to the latest OS I was at least able to install apps when sending them to my phone though I wasn't able to access the app store via the phone.
So what can I do? I have a new palm pre plus that doesn't allow me to get apps....

I have restarted the phone multiple times which did not help but I just tried the restore erase data feature and now I do have access to the app store but a new problem has arrived. I can't download anything. The progress bar states that it is downloading but nothing happens and the bar shows zero progress. I've tried this with multiple apps and avenn bought a cheap app and still this happens. The phone can sit for 10 minutes and nothing downloads.
I should add that I have full signal bars and the 3g logo is lit up.
My next step when I get home is to use webOS doctor and see if I can fix the OS.
I'm starting to wish I just bought the Motorola droid...

  • Is it possible to access my lightroom catalog on my iMac from my macbook air ?

I was just given a yr old macbook air and want to access my lightroom catalog on my I mac ? possible or do I just use the mobile and set up a share folder ?
thanks in advance for any info

During a call, press the home button (note the green bar at the top of the screen).  Navigate to your Calendar app and open it.
The Calendar app won't be able to update OTA during the call but you should be able to see everything that was there before the call.

  • Access a OCI Catalog from ABAP code

    Hi Experts,
We may need to access an OCI Catalog from an ABAP code. We will need to punch out the Catalog in a browser window, and somehow get the results from the browser back to the ABAP code.
Any idea of how can this be accomplished?
    Thanks and regards,
    José Omar

Accessing the catalog is nothing but creating a hook url and directing to that URL.
For eg. you should have the parameters read from the SPRO settings in SRM and then creating an URL in the fly.
But as of now you can have hard coded URLs being fed in.
ie you click on a link and you fire the exit plug as in Web dynpro in suspend mode.
The main criteria is to have the catalog OCI 4.0 complaint. (read mandatory fields etc in OCI 4.0 documentation)
Then once you shop from some items in the catalog , the OCI compliant catalog will send you the data in the required file format.
At the receiving end , PO etc . you should have a ABAP method (at resume ) that interprets this sent name-value pair file from the catalog. then populate this data where you want.
you can have a look at the SRM methods that does the same in ABAP.
This would the 20,000 feet or more process overview on how it works. Hope this helps

  • Can I access Flex's default Chart colors? Or can I access a Series' current color?

I've created a popup to dynamically add/remove Series from a LineChart and/or AreaChart.  Problem is, I want to keep the Series' line color consistent, and Flex wants to re-assign them from it's default list, which is confusing.
I don't want to just set the Series.visible to false for two reasons:
    1. I also want the LegendItem to disappear from the Legend
    2. Stacked AreaCharts (type == 'stacked') get messed up when you set one of its Series.visible = false
So to avoid color reassignment, I want to explicitly set the lineStroke for my Series.  But if I'm using Flex's default colors, I need to either:
    a. Have access to the static default color array - does anyone know where this is???  or
    b. After the Series are drawn (updateComplete?), I need to query each for its lineStroke color and then explicitly set it to that same color.  How do I do this???  getStyle('lineStroke') returns null, and I can't see a way to get at the renderer.
I'm essentially re-posting the following unanswered posts, which I promise to link back to this if someone can please help:
Binding to Rendered Chart Data [http://forums.adobe.com/message/186840#186840]
Getting the default pie chart colors [http://forums.adobe.com/message/36410#36410]
    Please help!

Matt, thanks for your reply, but unfortunately, for LineCharts, LineSeries.getStyle('fill') always returns 0xffffff (white).
I finally found that after my LineChart is completely rendered, (sometime after LineSeries' updateComplete), LineSeries.getStyle('lineStroke') and getStyle('stroke') both return the correct Stroke.color values ("lineStroke" refers to the line segment and "stroke" to the data point).
Rather than fooling around with collecting the actual values dynamically, I just generated some trace() output from a  LineChart with a bunch of Series to create my own static Array from which I can initialize my Series.setStyle(color) as I dynamically add them to my LineChart:
            public static const DEFAULT_FLEX_SERIES_COLORS:Array = [

It turns out there's only 28 unique color values before the color pattern repeats.  I don't see a numerical pattern; perhaps someone with more time on their hands can figure out if there's a function behind this series of values (printed here in binary, decimal, and hex):

  • Accessing a LR Catalog across a network

I asked this question previously but maybe I wasn't clear. Four people ata local university have Lightroom on their computers. They all have access to a main server where photos reside in folders along with a LR Catalog. The photos will eventually all be keyworded. Will each person (who has Lightroom) be able to open up that catalog and do keyword searches?

Lr is not a multi-user server application, and only one instance of Lr can have the a catalogue open at a time. Putting any file permissions issues aside, they will be able to open up the catalogue and, assuming their desktops can figure out the paths to the photos, access image data.

    hello
I need to get the user access log in order to know the user who access to the applications analytics OBIEE????

Then use Usage Tracking Feature of OBIEE.
The Oracle BI Server supports the accumulation of usage tracking statistics that can be used in a variety of ways such as database optimization, aggregation strategies, or billing users or departments based on the resources they consume. The Oracle BI Server tracks usage at the detailed query level.
When you enable usage tracking, statistics for every query are inserted into a database table or are written to a usage tracking log file.

  • Access own (vendor) catalog from Bid

    Hi!
Business scenario: A vendor log in to SRM to respond to a bid invitation and register a Bid.
Question: Is it possible for the vendor to get access to his own Catalog from within the Bid, and link the bid to his own products/prices? If so, how is this customized? (can the vendor set this up himself from the vendor portal)?

  • Access Denied to Catalog Folders Dat Files

I don't know if these files are important to back up, but I have been doing so routinely.  For the last two days, the three dat files for one of my catalogs (backupCt.dat, collstatus.dat and tagstatus.dat) have shown up as "access denied" and can't be copied.  Adobe Photoshop Elements is not running, and the problem persists after a computer restart.  Any suggestions as to what the problem might be and how it can be corrected?  And also as to whether these three files are important to back up in case of a need to restore the program?
    Message was edited by: pls2233

Thanks, Michel.  I'm glad to know I don't need to worry about having those files backed up (both on an external hard drive and online via Carbonite -- which no longer permits backup of files in the Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data folder).  I did indeed check Task Manager, and saw that apdproxy.exe was running (the only process that seemed as if it might have any relationship to "Adobe"), but hadn't checked at that point to see what that file was.  I now see that it is related to the autolaunch of the Adobe Photo Downloader.  I've just deselected the Autolaunch option under Preferences, and have unchecked the corresponding item in the Startup tab of the System Configuration Utility.  Since that option had been checked since the beginning of my using the program some years ago, it's hard for me to see that it would be making a difference now, but I'll see if anything changes.  I haven't checked any of the other processes running (as per Task Manager) that I am not familiar with, including some that begin with the letter "a" but that don't, at first glance, seem to relate to Adobe.  Anyway, thanks for your help.  At least I know I can relax about the backup question.

  • Accessing the Lightroom Catalog directly

I write programs using RealBasic and SQL databases.  I understand the LR Catalog is a MySQL database.  I would like to be able to open the catalog as a readonly file from an external program and access information about a photo based on the filename.
    Is this possible or advisable?
    thanks
    bill

It's an SQLite database and there are many admin tools (I use SQLite Expert) that can browse the database. Note that the prudent hacker should do this on a copy of the Lightroom database. Also, Adobe does not publish the layout of the tables nor the meaning of the many cryptic columns.

  • ProSelect no longer allowed access to Lr catalog (ver. 3.0+)

It appears that Adobe have changed the  functionality of Lightroom 3 so that it is no longer possible to open  Raw images in Lightroom 3 from ProSelect (any version).
Previous versions of Lightroom allowed ProSelect to pass a list of  image file locations to Lightroom and it then offered the option to  "Show in Library" which, when clicked, displayed these images.
Lightroom 3 has removed this functionality so this operation is no longer possible.
PLEASE ADOBE:  CHANGE IT BACK!  You are affecting many, many professional photographers that use Lightroom and ProSelect!

    Hi All,
I am the owner of TimeExposure and developer of ProSelect (Peter Howlett is my name).
ProSelect is designed as a specialized presentation, sales and workflow tool for professional portrait and wedding photographers. It integrates tightly with Photoshop via javascript scripting and to a much lesser extent with Lightroom due to the inability (so far as we have been able to determine) to trigger any Lightroom scripts from OUTSIDE of Lightroom.
Our customers who use ProSelect with Lightroom do so in two ways:
    1. They prepare RAW images for their presentation in Lightroom and export these as jpg into ProSelect. If you send an image to ProSelect (using the "open document" process) it adds the image to its own currently open "catalog" (to use Lightroom's terms - we call this an album). So it is easy to setup an export process in Lightroom to do this. In this case, the converted jpgs are normally exported to the same folder as the original raw files before being imported into ProSelect.
    2. After the sales sessions where the customers orders are recorded in ProSelect, the ordered images need to be produced. This is initiated from within ProSelect because it has the list of images that need to be dealt. ProSelect looks for any associated raw images in the same folder as the selected jpg files and allows the photographer to "Open the original RAW images" in Photoshop's ACR with a simple button command from within ProSelect. You could also do this with Lightroom versions 1&2, however this process seems longer possible with Lightroom 3.
What has changed in Lightroom 3 that effects ProSelect?
The mechanism that we used in Lightroom 1&2 was to use the "Open Document" OS event to send the path of the RAW files that we wished to open to Lightroom. This is the equivalent to selecting a bunch of RAW image files in the Finder on the Mac or Windows Explorer on a PC and dropping them onto the Ligthroom app. In Lightroom 1&2, Lightroom recognized that the files were already in its catalog and presented a dialog stating this and asking if you wished to "Show in Library". Clicking this button showed all of the selected images from ProSelect in Lightroom ready to be edited and exported for printing. This worked great.
Lightroom 3 behaves differently. While it indicates that the images are already in the catalog by displaying them in the Open Document dialog as disabled,  you no longer get the option to "Show in Library". That's the essence of the problem being faced by our users.
    Solutions?
It would be great to get the previous functionality back.
It would be great to be able to trigger a Lightroom script from outside of Lightroom so we could do some other cool stuff between Lightroom and ProSelect.
An example of using externally trigger script is...  With Photoshop, ProSelect can send an image to Photoshop tell it to run an action on that image and re-import and display the resulting image back into ProSelect all in the background during a live sales session. It would be great to be able to do the same with Lightroom. The key to this is that the photographer does not want to have to switch applications, do stuff, and switch back during the sales session - this is a distraction for their customers and can have a negative impact on the sales session.
On the subject of scripting in Lightroom... we have developed a command line application that can talk to ProSelect so it is possible to send commands to ProSelect using a shell call from Lightroom but getting results back doesn't seem so easy. It would be great to have the ability to send a shell command with parameters and get the "standard output" result back as a returned variable. I know we could do this via the file system but that is really clumsy. This would be my third request for improving interactivity between Lightroom and ProSelect.
Any suggestion or ideas would be welcome. If you would like to find out more about ProSelect here is a link to its page on our web site:

    cheers

  • What are the size limitations in Predictive Analytics - regression charts

I'm trying to display the trend chart for an Exponenential Regression Prediction and I got the following error.  The Regression itself runs OK and provides a summary, but I can't display the data on a chart.
There's only 1 other related posting- Error PAS10066 and it doesn't provide much more info than is in the error itself.
Does anyone have extra info on what the size of the limitation is?  Is it something that can be overcome with extra RAM etc?
I'm using the desktop version of PA 1.19, and I'm on a 64 bit installation of Windows 7 with 8GB of RAM, processing a csv file with 1.1 million rows.
I've used some filters in the Prediuct workflow to cut down on the amount of data being processed, and I got past the PAS10066 error and am now getting a max call stack size error - can't find anything related on SCN for this one.
    Many Thanks

    Hi Astrid,
Thanks for reaching out.It could be a out of memory issue.
If you increase the memory that SAP Predictive Analysis is allowed to consume.
Go to the location where SAP Predictive Analysis was installed. In my case it is:
    C:\Program Files\SAP Predictive Analysis\Desktop
Here you find a file "SAPPredictiveAnalysis.ini" - open this in Notepad and change the
"-Xmx" parameter to approximately half of our PC/laptops memory.
For instance in your case you could try with: -Xmx4096m
I have outlined this is a few more steps here:

    Hope it works for you.

few weeks ago i started having trouble using my public library's online card catalog.  everything works fine until i try to scroll down to see the bottom of the page.  i can scroll until the bar comes to the bottom of the screen, but i can't scroll down any farther.  when i try to get to the bottom by clicking on the screen  to page down, the website freezes and shows some graphics from another page.  the website is unresponsive and i have to close safari.
it seems as though i started having trouble about the time of my last software update, but that could be my imagination.  i have no trouble on any other sites.  the library's response so far have been unhelpful.

Hello, I have web access working with desktop client P6 v8.
I installed the reporting db and created dev_bifoundation schema with rcu. The first run and incremental load is also working.
    I installed BI Publisher.
I have configured the BI Publisher in P6 administrator.
I have BI weblogic running but I am not seeing any analytic or reporting menus in web access.
Any steps that I should re-check?
    Thanks

To check the value is correct, append "?WSDL" to the URL. In your case the value will be valid if you can access BI Publisher web services as below
    http://server:7001/bifoundation_domain/services/PublicReportService_v11?WSDL
If this is not true you will not see the BI Publisher web services
