Access to refresh and edit queries in  BI 4.1

Greetings,
We just promoted our contents from bi 4.1 dev. To prod.
I have a user “User1” who is a member of Group1 and Group2, I gave both groups full access to the universe folder, to the Universe itself, also to the universe connection.
However when user1 attempts to:
1.       Refresh a webI document the following error appears: “You do not have the right to access data returned by this universe. (Error: INF)”
2.       When user1 clicks edit query, he gets “No business layer sent back from server” error.
3.       When user1 tries to create a new webI documents that particular universe the report is using is not even in the list of available universes.
Regards,

I am having the same issue since our upgrade to SAP BI 4.1 SP5 on Monday. I feel like there must be some new permissions that need to be granted in the Access Level, since our developers who tested in development did not have this issue in the dev region. The developers have the Universe Designer access level in dev, whereas endusers have the ENDUSER Access Level in production and are calling about getting this error.
Does anyone know if BI 4.1 has some new permissions that are necessary for EndUsers to run Webi reports based on .unx universes, that were not necessary in 4.0? Our Access Levels have been customized.

  • Made a movie in iMovie on old mac. Can I open and edit on new MacBook?

I made a movie and exported in iMovie on an old MacBook. I need to access the video and edit. It won't import. In Finder it only shows Audio_TS and Video_TS files.

Audio_TS and Video_TS files are what you have on an ordinary DVD.   You must have burned the video to DVD.  Do you still have the iMovie project?  If not you would have to rip the DVD using Handbrake or something similar.
See: http://lifehacker.com/5809765/how-to-rip-a-dvd-to-your-computer for some more information.
I have never done this myself so can't help further.

  • Missing refresh and apply buttons?

My iTunes iMac screen has been growing taller! I can no longer access the refresh and apply buttons on the bottom. In fact, the entire bottom of the window is down, off the screen, even if the top of the window is as high as it can go.
What I have tried and does not work:
    - Green resize button just turns the screen into a slider, not a smaller screen.
    - The two arrows on the upper right only makes the window bigger, not smaller.
    - Changing the resolution in Settings > Display only makes the screen bigger. I've tried several scale settings.
    Can anyone help?
(Yes, I'm using Mtn Lion and latest iTunes updates.)
    Thanks!

Thank you! That did the trick. iTunes filled the whole screen, but I got the button back. Then I could use the size arrows in the upper right hand corner to get iTunes back to a reasonable size, buttons and all!

There are some keyboard commands (shortcuts) you can use instead of having to go to the Apple menu -
Control-Eject          This brings up the Restart-Sleep-Cancel-Shutdown window.
Command-Option-Eject          This puts the machine to sleep.
Command-Control-Eject          This closes all apps and restarts the machine.

  • Multiple users access one iPhoto library and view and edit

I have 3 Macs and 5 users in our family. I'd like to have one iPhoto library that any user can access from any of the machines and view and/or edit. I don't need simultaneous access (which from reading posts I can see is not possible in iPhoto).
If I move the library to external HD will I be able to access the libary from each Mac over Wi-Fi? From what I read I'd need to hold ALT when opening iPhoto in each user account, on each Mac, and choose the library on the external drive.
If I set it up like this then once photos imported any user can see them, and edit if they want to? Presumably any Projects would be in the one central library rather tan being specific to a particular user?

    Yes and no
the hard drive that the iPhoto sits on must be formatted Mac OS extended (jorunaled)
iPhoto is not a multi user program and if two different people edit atthe same time it will not wrok correctly
Most importantly WiFi is not a reliable connection and has many dropouts - if you edit over WiFi you are highly likely to lose data and corrupt yoru library - it is not a good idea - viewing is slow but will work

There is nothing that you can do to get rid of the balance on your own. Contact iTunes Store Support and seek their assistance. I believe that they can reset your balance for you.

If you give complete and detailed information about your setup and the issue at hand, such as your platform (Mac or Win), exact versions of your OS, of Photoshop ("CS5" won't do for instance; we would need CS5 vers 12.0.2 or whatever) and of Bridge, machine specs, such as total installed RAM, scratch file HDs, video card specs, what troubleshooting steps you have taken so far, what error message(s) you receive, if having issues opening raw files also the exact camera make and model that generated them, etc., someone may be able to help you.

  • Why doesn't Photoshop touch ask for access to local photos on my iPad so I can grant access and edit?

Why doesn't Photoshop touch ask for access to local photos on my iPad so I can grant access and edit?

That's odd. Does this mean that you want to have the request or that you can't see the photos even though you enabled it over the privacy/photos?
If you enable it - it's not necessary to get the request. If you want the request the safest way to get it back is to reset the privacy settings by going to iPad settings/General/Reset/Reset Location & Privacy

  • How can I open and edit files that were developed and published by ftp to my host on my old macbook, which I can no longer access.

How can I open and edit files that were developed and published via ftp to my host on my old macbook, which I can no longer access. The HD containing the files cannot be accessed. I want to be able to download the published files to be edited in iweb?

You CAN'T download published files and then edit them in iWeb because iWeb can't open them - it has no import facility so is unable to open any html or css files - a previously published site.
You can download these files yes, but you'll need to use them as a guide or to cut and paste text from there whilst you re-build your site in iWeb.
The only other way is to download the files and then open them with an html editor such as TextWrangler or use one of the other web design programmes out there that is capable of importing html and css such as Dreamweaver of Flux 4.
These are your only alternatives as iWeb can't import and if you want to continue to use iWeb, then you'll have to re-build your site from scratch.  If you do just remember to back up your domain.sites file this time around - it is found under your User/Library/Applicaion Support/iWeb/domain.sites.

    * In Firefox 3.6 and later on Windows you can hide the "Menu Bar" via "View > Toolbars" or via the right-click context menu on a toolbar.
    * Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
    * Go to "View > Toolbars" or right-click the "Menu Bar" or press Alt+V T to select which toolbars to show or hide (click on an entry to toggle the state).

  • Can you access files and edit them from different computers in Creative Cloud?

I want to understand the workflow we can have. We have three computers and would like to access and edit the same files in Creative Cloud. Can you do this? I understand I may have to purchase two licenses but will this give everyone access to the same files and able to edit and upload files.
We do this in Dropbox now but with Creative Cloud is sounds like all I can do is share a file for them to comment on, not edit?

    Hi Olivia,
With Creative Cloud, file editing comes in via downloading Adobe applications with a Creative Cloud membership. While you cannot edit within Creative Cloud, you can share files with your coworkers which can then be downloaded, edited in an Adobe application, and reuploaded to the Cloud.
Be aware that although you can have two computers activated on the same Creative Cloud membership, you cannot use the same application on two computers simultaneously. A Creative Cloud membership is for one user that can be used on one or more computers.
You may want to look into the Creative Cloud Team Ready, that targets work environments like yours. You can read more about Team Ready here.
Hope this helped clarify your questions!

  • How i can access and edit the table of database(.mdb) file through Labview

    Dear sir,
I want to access and edit the table of database(.mdb) file through Labview and it should save.
please tell me how i can do it.
    i am waiting for reply.
    regards
    Rajendra

there are options aplenty for this.  First off, do you have the database connectivity toolset?  If so, You can do it from there.  Following the examples in labview. Or you can do a search for ADO or access database, and find plenty of VIs that can do this.

  • CFMAIL and Editing Fields

    Hi all,
I need to allow a user to fill out some forms with the
following info: Name, Title, Supervisor, Division, Status, Salary,
Effective Date and Remarks. After filling out the info, it needs to
be sent via a link that will allow the recipient access to the
table to edit if necessary. Then the recipient can 'Approve' or
'Deny' the information and send it back for review and distribution
    by the original sender.
The forms are already complete but I'm confused as to how the
emailing and editable fields will work. I already have a CFMAIL
page completed that used to display the information once it was
input then simply mail it to the recipient. Well, now, the user
wants the ability to have the recipient edit the information then
email it back so that they can distribute it. So now I have to use
a DB table, whereas before, it was just being sent as an email. So
I've created the table with the columns for the info I mentioned
before. What I'm confused with is how to make the transfer from
just emailing information, to emailing a link that will allow the
recipient to access the table, edit it if necessary, then Approve
or Deny it and send it back in the same format. The Approval can
simply be in the form of a field.
So I basically need to make it so that I'm taking this and
making it into an editable table via a link sent though an email
after the user has filled out the necessary information in the
forms before. Sorry for all the explaining and confusion. I've
attached some code to look at and modify. I can provide more code
from the form input pages if you'd like though I figured the logic
of the email and the ability to allow the recipient to update the
DB then actually send it back is in the page I attached. It's
probably not as bad as it looks or sounds but it's confusing the
    hell out of me...
    Thanks a ton,
    Eric
