Access to system perferences from second account

Can not access the system preferences folder from the second account setup on the Mac. I am a new user to the apple system but have many years with the other system. Gave the second account Admin status. Need to change the touch pad tap function for the second account.

Did you migrate accounts from a PPC Mac? Are you accessing the application from the /Applications/ folder or from /Home/Applications/ folder?
I do not think you are accessing the same file since the application cannot be an application icon on your account and a folder icon on hers since the application is the same one in the same Applications folder.

Outlook 2010 - Multiple Exchange Accounts - Won't send from second account

I've setup multiple exchange accounts in Outlook 2010. I receive fine for both accounts, but cannot send from second account. Sent email goes to the Outbox and stays there.
I've tried going back to a second profile, and it works fine. Mail in Outbox from efforts above stay in Outbox. If I pull them up, I can resend with no issue.
I need to be able to send with multiple accounts in same profile to do other projects I'm currently working on. Any ideas???

I was able to fix this with Outlook 2010 Service Pack 1.
Another area that I had to change was the inbox for that other account I created a rule to put in the primary inbox folder (email 2).
After that the email was only checking one to send and recieve based on the highlighted account, so to resolved that I went to Send/Reveive Groups > Define Groups > Edit Account Properties and made sure they refresh every 1 minute(s).

Can't access game center using nickname from second account

I have two Apple IDs associated with two different e-mail addresses. I set up a game center account with one address and another account with the second address and different ID. After my ipad had to be reset following a crash during the upgrade to ios7 I have been unable to access one of my game center accounts with most of my games on it. Is there any way I can log into the game center just using my game center nickname. I have tried a number of options given on different forums but the message I get when trying to use my old nickname is that it has already been taken.

It sounds like you are not getting the email to reset your password. If you have a rescue email setup for your Apple ID, the reset password email will be sent there and not your Apple ID email address:
When you provide a rescue email address, all future security emails, such as password resets from iForgot, will be sent to the address provided.

Go into your iTunes account and eliminate the payment method to none. Then change the password. FInally notify iTunes support of your problem. You will find ways to contact iTunes support on this website. Email works very well with iTunes support.
You do not want to delete your account and there is no need to do that to prevent further hacking. The reason is that any purchases of music, Apps, movies or whatever made with your iTunes account will be associated to that account and you can redownload them if you change iPhones, get an iPad or to your computer. If you were able to delete the account, which you cannot do, you would have to repurchase everything.

I have within my MacbookPro 2 accounts, one for my job and one personal. All my music is within my personal Itunes. Can I configure my Macbook to access my music from the professional account without having to duplicate all my music library?

Can't Email from Second Account (iCloud)

I Am having a heck of a time with my email. My POP3 email suddenly stopped sending outgoing emails. Incoming continued fine. Trying to get that fixed but not luck so far. Have a desktop PC synced to my iPad with iCloud, which used to work great but can't send email on either. I was as recently out of the country and needed to send email so I sent up and iCloud email and added it to my iPad. I set it as the default in Settings and it worked great. Outgoing and incoming worked perfect. I thought in was the cats meow!
I got home and from my home location, it won't send an email. In fact, when I try, even though the default account is now set to iCloud, and that is the address that shows in the "From" field, it shows it hung up in the Outbox of the old POP3 account. And, it won't send it. No matter what I try, can't get it to send from the iCloud account when it sees the ISP associated with that POP3 account. It's like some kind or weird Voodoo!! What the heck is going on here! Why can't I simply select the iCloud account As the default and have it work, like it did overseas? I don't get it. Please help!!

Also, the message that is in the Outbox of the POP3 account is showing the POP3 account email address, not the iCloud email address even through when I composed the email, the iCloud email address was showing in the From field. So, when I hit Send, somehow it is changing the From to the POP3 email account.
Also, lso,I did Reset my iPad as well. No help.
Help!!

Cannot use Safari from new account on iMac

Just set up a separate account for my kids, and after following the relevant instructions find that I cannot access Safari at all from the account. I thought from the prompts I should have been able to access it and set bookmarks for pages the kids could view. Also when I look at the Finder & System tab in the account set up it doesn't list Safari as an application. Anyone come across this problem before ?

I've solved this problem. Well, actually, I didn't do anything other than:
1) Rebooting my computer, then...
2) Following the instructions at the top of the following thread to re-create my email accounts (I had two):

Not sure what this fixed, and how I got into this issue in the first place.
I had four or five days worth of email to come in... it took...
...a...
...long...
...time...
But its looking like its working.
A few things I tried, and although they didn't have an immediate effect to fix the connection refused problem, they might have kicked something to start something working again:
1) Created a new 'test' user on the system, restarted, logged in as that user, and started Mail.app setting it up with .Mac settings (it was after this everything worked)
2) Changed SSL ports in the accounts settings (no difference)
3) Turned firewall on and off (no difference)
4) Attempted to use Thunderbird to read .Mac email as IMAP mailbox (didn't work)
Hope this rather obvious help helps anyone else

Run dpmon script from individual accounts....

I need to give access to execute dpmon from user account who sont have <sid>adm user authorization...
I am not sure to set the env variables.....or there is any give this permission .

I have added the below commands in user's .profile file and copied the .env_hostname.sh file in to the user
home directory.

But its not working and got error after login to the screen

I tried to run dpmon from user account but its giving the below error:
DpMonInit failed - possibly no dispatcher running
DpMon: External/Internal dplib version: 109/232
If there is any way to set the add the above variables other thatn adding in .profile file / any other changes need to do for <sid>adm env ?.

Email sent from wrong account

I have set up my 2 email accounts on new iPad. When I send from default account, recipient sees mail as from second account even when I've made that inactive.. How can I prevent this?

If you have set the mail account you wish to use to send emails, then there is a bug. You may try deleting both mail accounts and then logging in again. Otherwise deleting the email account you do not wish to send mail from will force emails to be sent from the other account

Are you trying to connect to the remote machine?
There are a few limitations of Kerberos Configuration Manager tool.
The tool will only work in a single domain scenario. So, if you have the service installed in Domain A, but want to use a Service Account from Domain B, we won’t be able to discover and correct the issue appropriately.

I cannot find emails from a second account in mail, after migrating by USB stick

I wanted to migrate my mails from Apple mail from an old iMac (OS X 10.3.9) to a newer MacMini (OS X 10.6.8).
The migration assistent did not work, so I used an USB stick to drag the 'mail' file from te library and the 'com.apple.mail.plist file from the preferences file, and dropped both in my MacMini Library - and preferences folder.
But now I only have the head-account mails, less than 1 perecent of what I needed from the second account.
The copies 'mail'file is 1.02 GB, so they must be somewhere...
I see 852 messages in the 'sent.imapm.box' but as grey squares, woth the yellow text 'exec' left obove in it.
Clicking on it gives only text like: Mac mini from (name)..and a lot of 'Library'in it.
Help! how can I get it visible again? There's pretty much important in it: my professional mails of the last 3 years...
I tried to recopy on the old iMac, but that did not work either, amd the 'mail' file from there is as good as emty, something went terribly wrong.

Found it, I think. At least all mails are visible now: When installing the 'new 'Mac, I changed the setting fromm SSL to non-SSL, but this changes also the port number. I did it while my provider told me that they did not use that security system. The new e-mail came in visible, I don't know why the eldest mails came in without any problem, but after thicking the SSL box, the e-mails came in visible.
I also imported not from Apple mail in 'importing mailboxes' but from 'm-box-structure' below in the list of mailboxes to import.
Only problem is that all outging mails are no longer sorted by receiver, but by sender: all from me of course.

Second account won't allow Safari access

I created a second account on my Macbook, have parental controls on to limit, "adult material," however when i go onto that user name the safari shows up with a "?" and wont allow me to even access safari. I double checked to make sure I have allowed the user to use the internet. what am i doing wrong?

From your Mac or iPad ??
You can't access the App Store via Safari on a Mac. You can launch it from your Apple menu top left in your screen, or your Dock or from your Applications folder.
If you are referring to your iPad, try resetting >
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that didn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Then restart the iPad > Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

There is no solution. You have to provide the ID and password. There is no way around it. If the person you bought it from can't provide it, return it and get your money back.
