  • Is this possible: SNC connection from SAP GUI to SAP Router, and ...

    Hi,
    I have (stupid perhaps) question.
    Is this scenario possible:
    SNC connection from SAP GUI to SAP Router, and non-SNC connection from SAP Router to SAP System.
    I know how to set up scenario like this:
    SAP System --- (non-SNC conn) --- saprouter1 --- (SNC conn) --- saprouter2 --- (non-SNC conn) --- SAP GUI.
    Best regards,
    Marek Majchrowski

    Wolfgang,
    To be sure myself and Marek understand, can you confirm the different scenarios supported:
    Scenario 1:
    SAP GUI --- (non SNC conn) --- saprouter1 --- (SNC conn) --- saprouter2 --- (non-SNC conn) --- SAP System
    With this scenario, it would be possible for a user to logon using SAP GUI onto the SAP System, but without SAP GUI SNC.
    Scenario 2:
    SAP GUI --- (SNC conn) --- saprouter1 --- (non SNC conn) --- saprouter2 --- (SNC conn) --- SAP System
    With this scenario it would be possible to logon to the SAP System using SAP GUI, and using SNC authentication.
    Also, with this scenario the SAP GUI software and SAP System software would consider this to be similar to:
    SAP GUI -- (SNC conn) -- SAP System
    Scenario 3:
    This is the scenario mentioned by Marek in his initial question:
    SAP GUI -- (SNC conn) -- saprouter1 -- (non SNC conn) -- SAP System
    With this scenario it will not be possible to logon to SAP System using SNC, and only possible if the SAP GUI is configured to not use SNC. In other words the SNC connection between SAP GUI and saprouter1 is available, but cannot be used.
    Thanks,
    Tim

  • Delete the variants of a query from SAP GUI

    Hi all,
    We have migrated queries from 3.5 to 7.0, and now we are migrating their variants also.
    But while migrating variants we got a situation where some variants got copied but not activated in 7.0.
    so now we want to delete those variants and migrate it again as they are not being over written.
    so, my question is how can we delete variants for a query in one shot from SAP GUI.
    plzz....help asap.

    Hi,
    note : 1003481... makes the point that...
    But the variant cannot be migrated when a variant with same technical name already exists in 'new' variant storage
    would it be possible that the variant that you are trying to migrate shares a tech name with one already on the system?
    to check variant tables for tech names used twice....
    tx: se16
    a)rsrvariant, (3x variants)
    c)rsrparametrizat(bi 7 made variants)
    variants that appear in rsrvariant (3x) will not migrate if the same
    tech name appears already in rsrparametrizat (new storage area for bi7).
    Delete the variant please refer the thread:
    How to delete the Variants?.
    Delete multiple variant

  • Problem with starting Crystal Report document from SAP Gui

    Dear all,
    in Crystal Reports I created my first report (based on a BW query), which is executed successfully, when I run it directly from CR or from Infoview. The report is stored directly in BW and has been published successfulyl to BOE.
    If I try to run it native from the SAP Gui, the following steps happen:
    Internet Explorer is started with the following link:
    http://dtcmbbwp01.ctc.ch.rcc:1080/sap/bw/ce_url?(ce_protcl):(DS)(ce_server)/(ce_path_pr)/viewreport.csp(Q)bw_id=4I4B2HQG8KK2ICFPONVIG5D9Q&sap_sysid=(sysid)&sap_client=010&language=EN&sap-client=010
    this link is transcoded to the following:
    http://dtcmbbwp01.ctc.ch.rcc:1080/sap/bw/=ce_protcl)%3a//MONHAMBO020.world.mon:8080%2fSAP%2fviewreport.csp(Q&sap_sysid=BWP&sap_client=010&language=EN&sap-client=010&sap-language=EN&cmsname=MONHAMBO020.world.mon
    (I already entered /CRYSTAL/CL_BW_HTTP_HANDLER handler in the ce_url service)
    and afterwards I get an error 404 -> corresponding service not available
    which is obvious, as a service =ce_protcl is not existing at alkl.
    If I then execute my CR document again from SAPGui (without closing the IE), the standard BOE login page for the infoview is displayed, but I get an error:
    Account information not recognized: The credentials passed to secSAPR3 [] are invalid. Use the following format: sid~clnt/user
    I can logon with my BW credentials, and afterwards I can see my CR document.
    Any idea, what went wrong?
    Thanks,
    Andreas

    Dear Ingo,
    the basic installation of all BOE components was done by the SAP installation service and I checked several times your blog(s) and the corresponding parts on the BOE server and in BW. From my point of view we did all necessary configuration steps on BOE and BW (/CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN) which are necessary to setup the BOE software and the connections.
    I checked again the HTTP handler and it still says:  /CRYSTAL/CL_BW_HTTP_HANDLER
    I stopped and restarted the service, but with no effect at all -> I do not think that I need a restart of the server, right?
    My user is as well existing on the BOE server and I can logon to the BOE with my SAP credentials.
    I guess as well that the key to the success is the HTTP handler. The first link I provided is the link that is shown in IE, before I logged on to the BW server and I think this is correct, as the transcodification is done after(!) I logged on to the BW server.
    A part of the transcodification is as well working, as I can see the replacement of my ce_server, sysid, etc. But it seems to me that the first part of the string is crap:
    http://dtcmbbwp01.ctc.ch.rcc:1080/sap/bw/=ce_protcl)%3a
    Any further ideas?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Andreas

  • Accessing local clipboard with SAP GUI for HTML - alternatives?!?

    I need some creative suggestions (PLEASE!!!) to a problem that weu2019re having replicating functionality that works in SAPGUI but which we canu2019t get working in SAP GUI for HTML.
    In SAPGUI we are able to open an external browser and pass a URL for the page we want to open.  Once the page is open the user enters some data and receives a response which we then copy to the local workstation clipboard.  From within ABAP we then read the clipboard contents and then copy them in to a field in the SAP screen.  It works BRILLIANTLY!
    However, Iu2019m not able to get the same functionality to work in SAP GUI for HTML with method CLIPBOARD_IMPORT of CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.  Apparently this class and the methods can not be used in SAP GUI for HTML u2013 however OSS note 314568 seems to suggest otherwise with this statement:
    Clipboard access
    In SAP GUI for HTML it is not possible to:
    - read or write the clipboard using ABAP Objects class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES.
      This limitation no longer exists with ITS 6.20 Patch 23, SAP Netweaver 2004 SP 19 and SAP Netweaver 2004s SP 10.
    Has anyone been able to use the class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES to read from the Clipboard since this statement was made in this OSS note?
    And my bigger question u2013 does anyone have a creative idea for a solution that will work?

    Thank you experts,
    Your answers have been really helpfull, we have to try another method, by Studio Program or ABAP code, unfortunely we have to implement this in so many computers, so is impossible to configure one by one.
    Thanks to both, and have a nice 2009!

  • Problem opening Crystal Report from SAP GUI through VPN

    Hi Everyone,
      I am facing an issue with opening the crystal report from SAP BW Role menu(SAP GUI). The issue is only with the BW Users who are connecting to the Client systems through VPN. All the settings are done perfectly in the Transaction /CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN and SICF for the CE_URL.
    For those who are in the client network it works fine. Please see the URLs generated in both the cases,below.
    From Client N/W
    [http://sapbobj:8080/SAP/jsp/Action_Dispatch/dispatch.jsp?sap_client=100&cmsname=sapbobj:6400&language=EN&sap_sysid=D40&bw_id=4HUFYJ3XBZ7QLP5HIDYPR7PR6&sap-client=100&actionName=SAP_CrystalReport_View&appKind=InfoView&service=%2FInfoViewApp%2Fcommon%2FappService.do&loc=&initialFolderId=null]
    Through VPN
    [http://sapbwd.abc.com:8100/sap/bw/ce_url?(ce_protcl):(DS)(ce_server)/(ce_path_pr)/viewreport.csp(Q)bw_id=4HUPI3I78CG4S4EDH7XSDP736&sap_sysid=(sysid)&sap_client=100&language=EN&sap-client=100]
    where "sapbobj" is the BOBJ system and "sapbwd" is the SAP BW Dev box.
    For me it seems to be something related to the N/W. Please provide me your valuable inputs to solve this issue.

  • Problem while printing from SAP GUI for HTML

    Hello,
    We are trying to print a delivery confirmation from the portal using SAP GUI for HTML. We have followed note 771683 to do this. However we are facing the following problems:
    1) The print action(PDF creation) is not triggered until the user performs some action
    2) the PDF that is created is corrupted(does not open)
    In order to correct this we tried to implement note 957292. However, the changes to the object FRONTEND_PRINTPOLL_FRONT_REQUEST.HTM mentioned in this note created problems. So we decided to do the changes to this object manually. But we see that the SAP note doesn't contain any information on changes that should be implemented for this object.
    Question:
    Is the note 957292 only way to solve the printing(PDF) problem? If not, how can we trigger the automatic creation of the PDF and remove the error from the PDF file?
    If yes, any idea what is causing the problem during the note implementation?
    We are on NW2004s - EP7.0 SP10
    ITS 7.0
    Thanks in advance.

  • Regarding Native SQL to access Oracle Data from SAP

    Dear Gurus,
    This query is regarding Native SQL.
    Our database is Oracle and the client's database is also Oracle.
    To access the data directly from the client's database(Oracle), can I use Native SQL commands?
    Is there any disadvantage to use Native SQL?
    If Native SQL can be used, can any one send me the code to access the data from Oracle?
    Points will be rewarded.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Neeraj K.

    The problem is always data integrity. Doing things this way you are bypassing any business logic. So for example if you are connecting to a SAP Oracle database. SAP will not support your SAP system as you are doing direct updates to the database. I would suppose that this would be the same for any other product using the Oracle database. If you are only reading data from the database then it should be fine. I would however always using API's to access/update data.

  • How can I access BOE Universes from SAP Portal?

    I'm trying to access an Universe on BOE server from SAP Portal.  Does anyone know if this is possible or not?  Additions, is it possible to get access to the list of universes from the portal?

    Hi Ingo,
    I think we are talking about the same KM.  Yes, I could see all folders from the BOE server inside portal KM repository.  However, I could not see any of the universes.  If I put a Webi document in one of the visible folders, then I can see the webi document.
    If it is possible, I'd prefer not to go the other route to use SDK.
    Thanks,
    Garry

    Hi,
    I have designed a Custom screen for one of my requirements. However when the screen is displayed, I am facing an error message from SAP Front End Server that  says " Erroneous data received from server. Application may not work correctly".

  • Error while displaying PCUI page from SAP GUI

    Hi,
    I did a new development in a SAP GUI report program such that when the report program is called in Portal, on clicking a button, PCUI application for service order will appear. This I did by calling the function module CALL_BROWSER and passing the URL
    (for eg:- http://...../irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher.default?NavigationTarget=/roles/com.sap.pct.crm.ServiceManager/ServiceCycle/nf/ServiceOrders/BSPOrdersManager&DynamicParameter=CRM_OBJECT_TYPE%3DSERVICEPROCESSCRM%26CRM_BOR_TYPE%3DBUS2000116%26CRM_OBJECT_ID%3DFD3A2213D9F449CE83D7AF4EDCF642BA%26CRM_LOGSYS%3DCRD100%26sap-syscmd%3Dnocookie%26CRM_LOGSYS%3DCRD100%26CRM_BOR_TYPE%3DBUS2000116)
    This is working fine when the connection is HTTP but when the connection is HTTPS, a new window is opening with Portal header details but the PCUI application is not opening.
    Do I have perform any additional steps to get the application opened up in HTTPS connection?
    Thanks & Regards
    G.Raja

    Hi Matthew,
    Thanks for your reply. The CRM version is CRM 4.0 SP6. Unfortunately the notes could not be used in our scenario.
    The URL is created by us and the function module CALL_BROWSER is called to display the PCUI application. The PCUI application is not getting displayed if the connection is secured (HTTPS) connection.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Accessing interface components from a seperate class

    Hi there,
    I've just been given a Java project to build, that involves writing an applet to allow text based communication between pairs of people. I've always thought the best way to go about it was to divide code into functional units, i.e. put the user interface code in one class and the code that responds to user interface interactions in other classes (of the same package).
    The problem is getting the other classes to access the interface components created in the interface class.
    So for brevity, here is my interface Applet class;
    package name;
    import statements here;
    public class Communicate extends Applet {
    declare all variables, strings, labels, combo boxes etc
    //Construct the applet
    public Communicate() {
    try {
    jbInit();
    } catch (Exception ex) {
    ex.printStackTrace();
    //Initialize the applet
    public void init() {
    try {
    jbInit();
    } catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    private void jbInit() throws Exception {
    add components here
    //Now the problem. In the interface there are combo boxes. When the user clicks a button it constructs a jframe that asks the user for a string. The idea is that the string be added to a combobox using add item. If I leave this code in the applet class it works fine, e.g.
    public void jButton5_actionPerformed(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
    JFrame f = new JFrame();
    f.setSize(200, 200);
    f.setLocation(200, 200);
    f.setVisible(false);
    //Add those boxes to the JFrame
    JTextField titleField = new JTextField();
    String title = "Please enter the title";
    int result = JOptionPane.showOptionDialog(f,
    new Object[] { message },
    "New title", JOptionPane.OK_CANCEL_OPTION,
    JOptionPane.QUESTION_MESSAGE,
    null, null, null);
    String title = titleField.getText();
    jComboBox2.addItem(title);
    //as jComboBox2 is decalred in the applet above, it adds the string no problem.
    But what I'd like is the following, a title class on its own to make it easier to update and modify,
    e.g.
    public void jButton5_actionPerformed(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
    try {
    Title title = new Title();
    catch (Exception ex) {
    ex.printStackTrace();
    with the Title class written as such:
    package name;
    import statements;
    class Title {
    Title() {
    //Set the new title
    JFrame f = new JFrame();
    f.setSize(200, 200);
    f.setLocation(200, 200);
    f.setVisible(false);
    //Add those boxes to the JFrame
    JTextField titleField = new JTextField();
    String title = "Please enter the title";
    int result = JOptionPane.showOptionDialog(f,
    new Object[] { message },
    "New title", JOptionPane.OK_CANCEL_OPTION,
    JOptionPane.QUESTION_MESSAGE,
    null, null, null);
    String title = titleField.getText();
    *** Here is the problem: How do I reference jComboBox2 which is declared in the original applet class?
    jComboBox2.addItem(title); (this wont work!)
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    Title title = new Title();
    I'd thought perhaps I needed to create an instance of the applet and pass it to the second class to use it, so it can reference the components, but I'm not sure how to do this with an applet.
    Thanks
    Maria

    I'm not going to look at your unformatted code, but I'll give you some general hints:
    Have one set of classes being the GUI
    Have one set of classes being the data (the chat history, basically)
    Have one set of classes being the logic
    Have one interface for the logic to manipulate the data (e.g. addNewMessage(String)
    Have one interface for the GUI to get the data that's to be displayed (e.g. getLastTenMessages())
    Have one interface for the logic to notify the GUI of changed data (refresh())
    Have one interface for the GUI to notify the logic of user input (e.g. sendMessage(String))
    The logic will receive data either from the user and send it, as well as storing it in your chat log, or it will receive it from the network and add it to the data model, both times notifying the GUI of changes afterwards.
