Accessing Yahoo Busines Mail Options

I have just been through a couple of months of **** with Yahoo! Business Mail. I haven't been able to get emails from any of my friends/clients who had a gmail account. Yahoo!'s tech told me that gmail.com was blocked, and s/he claimed s/he unblocked it. I was still not getting email, so I logged into my account through Safari and tried to access my Mail Options. (If you're a YBM user, it's the link at the top right corner, above the line.)
I got the message
"There was a problem accessing your user profile.
This is most likely a temporary problem that should resolve itself within 10 minutes."
Long story short, it's a problem with Safari and Yahoo not getting along. I had downloaded Firefox way back when I couldn't access my YBM account when I was on the road. Firefox got me to where I needed to be, and all is well again.
It shouldn't be this hard - I'm on a MAC, darnit!

Hi Bill
Drag and keep the https: link for the Sign In page handy on either your Dock or Desktop.
https://login.yahoo.com/config/login_verify2?.intl=us&.partner=sbc&.src=ym
Or if you want it to open a Login, go to System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items and add it to your list of items that open at login.

  • Why can't I link to an image in Yahoo! mail options Signature? It works in Explorer.

I use the Yahoo! Mail options Signature to insert a signature every time I e-mail. I have inserted my logo and cannot get the link to work when you browse over the logo.
I could not even copy the link in Firefox, I had to do it in Explorer. This may be the problem.
Why can't Firefox allow images to copy in the Yahoo! signature area and link to them?
I am going to be forced to go back to using Explorer since I want everyone to be able to simply click on the image to link to my site.
    HELP!

I just did a test in google chrome. I can not create a folder under google chrome, but I can create a folder under Internet Explorer.

  • Are there any known problems accessing yahoo e-mails with firefox 8.0?

    Windows XP SP3
    firewall is checkpoint integrity client
    anti virus is avast
can log on to yahoo and view inbox OK, but when I try to open an e-mail I get the following message:
Sorry, your session has expired. To protect your account, you need to confirm your password periodically.Sign In Again
The sign in button does nothing, I can sign out OK , but the problem persists when I log on again.
This happens with all yahoo e-mail accounts
Yahoo email works OK running under google chrome. Both browsers have the same proxy settings (system settings).

Found the answer. When the username is an LDAP DN it needs to be proceeded by "dn:".
    example: username="dn:uid=bgbrown,ou=people,dc=siroe,dc=com"
The server also accepts a simple uid value.
    example: username="bgbrown"

  • When I access Yahoo E-Mail through Firefox, the mail window is unreadable and stuffed to the left side of the Firefox window. This just began. When I access the mail through IE, it comes up just fine.

Everything about Firefox is fine until I click on Yahoo! and go to my email. Then, the "Inbox" window is tiny and unreadable.

Are you opening Yahoo mail from a bookmark?
Opening in the Sidebar is the default action for bookmarks that are created via a "Bookmark this Page" link or button on a website. Make sure you use the many "Bookmark this Page" methods that are in Firefox instead.
Right-click that bookmark and select '''Properties''', then un-check the preference for '''Load this bookmark in the sidebar''', and then click Save.

  • I can't access Yahoo mail on my iphone 6

I can't access my yahoo email account on my iphone 6. I think it happened since I updated to IOS 8.2. I have the account loaded and it looks fine, but it doesn't download anything to my phone. Along the way I've lost calendar info, my notes, and other things I need!
    Help!
    Thanks in advance!

A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.
    https://portal.smartertools.com/kb/a2659/configure-imap-for-iphone-or-ipad.aspx
    https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mobile-mail/imap-server-settings-sln4075.html
    On the iPhone, tap Settings.
    Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap your Yahoo account, then delete it.
    Tap Add Account.
    Tap Other.
    Tap Add Mail Account.
Complete the Name, Address (email address), Password and Description fields.
    Click Next.
    Ensure IMAP is selected.
Enter the following incoming mail server information:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL
    Server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
    Port: 993
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Hostname is mail.yahoo.com.
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail.
Enter the following outgoing mail server information:
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - Requires SSL
    Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    Port: 465 or 587
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Requires authentication: Yes
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail. It may have been entered for you.
    Tap Next.
The iPhone will establish an SSL connection to your IMAP and SMTP servers.
    That’s all!

  • Firefox crashes whenever a Flash video advertisement opens in Yahoo! Mail. No virus detected. Incompatability?

Whenever I access Yahoo! Mail, the page opens normally. When the Flash Video advertisement starts, about halfway through or sooner, it stops and the entire window freezes. I wait up to two minutes and still nothing happens. I end up having to use Cntrl+Alt+Delete to force it to shut down. After repeating the process several times, I reinstall the most recent version of Adobe Flash Player and try again. No change. Virus scan shows green across the board. I don't know what to do at this point.

  • In firefox 8 I could not read my Yahoo group mails properly

THis is the second time I have gone back to FF 3.6. I had installed ff7, and now ff8, but have uninstalled and gone back to 3.6.
It is a weird problem. I am a member of many Yahoo groups and get their digests. The digests have a hyperlinked content section, where I can read all headings and only go to the ones I like. This works fine in FF3.6 - has always worked with all prior versions. I had the same problem with ff7, and now with ff8.
I had written to you about the ff7 too, but did not hear from you.
I am sorry but till this glitch is cleared , I am sticking with ff3.6.
If you want I can forward you one of my digests.

I registered so that I could help someone like me who is so frustrated with this new Firefox 12 for my iMac and all of the problems associated with trying to access my Yahoo mail. I too have NO problems with Yahoo mail using Safari.
I have found that when I can't get into my Yahoo mail for whatever reason, I close the Yahoo mail tab, I go to the Firefox pull down menu and I click on "preferences", then I click on the "Privacy" tab at the top of the new window, then I click on "Show Cookies". When the new window pops open I scroll down and click on "mail.yahoo.com" and select "Remove Cookies" I do not select "remove all cookies". Then I scroll down some more and find "yahoo.com" and select "remove cookies" and lastly I do the same for "yahoo.net". (BTW, what IS yahoo.net?)
Today I was using Firefox 12 and Yahoo mail had me accept a new privacy policy which stated,
"Before you can access Yahoo! Mail, we need your consent to our new Terms of Service and the Yahoo! Mail Privacy Policy. Learn more about how we protect your privacy."
I would click on "I Accept" numerous times but again NOTHING happened! So I closed the window and tossed my (Yahoo) cookies, opened up Yahoo mail. voila!

  • Help! I can't use Yahoo! Mail on any of my Apple devices

For some reason, I can no longer access my Yahoo! Mail account on any of my iPhones, iPads, and iTouch. I've tried deleting the account and re-installing, but to no avail. I can't even access Yahoo! Mail on Thunderbird. Could it have been caused by an incomplete sync on Apple Mail?

Disclaimer - For me the Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico my first language is Spanish. I do not speak English, however I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. Check the interwebs. It is a universal issue. Yahoo! appears to be having issues with its servers.

  • Can I setup Mail app to access Yahoo mail via IMAP?

Can I setup Mail app to access Yahoo mail via IMAP? I think that my iPhone is doing this, but what about the Apple Mail app on my Mac? I don't like the fact that the Mac downloads the e-mail messages and removes them from the server, therefore making them inaccessible from Yahoo's online mail or my iPhone.
I'd like to get to work just like my Mobile Me e-mail... Any thoughts?

There is an option in the 'Advanced' section of the account setup to delete the messages from the server after a specified period rather than immediately on download; you could leave them for a week or whatever, then they will still be there when the iPhone accesses them.

  • Suddenly unable las 36 hrs to access yahoo mail server on iPad and iPhone. What is going on, how to fix?  Have tried resetting mail accounts to no avail.

Unable to access yahoo mail server on iPad suddenly last 36 hrs.  Can anyone assist?

Hold off on purchasing stuff. I got my problem solved going through Apple Support for free. I'll try to walk you through this but bear in mind I've only done it once with an Apple Tech Support manager on line.
Basically you have to clear your keychain. Go to Finder Menu, Select Go, select utilities, select Keychain Access
Once you are in keychain access you may have to enter a password to unlock the keychain
Once unlocked, select preferences and then reset my keychain.
This is where I am fuzzy on what we did but as I recall that was all that was necessary with respect to the keychain access.
    Save the changes
Go to the mail program, delete your existing account
    Add a new account
De-select the option to automatically set up your account (VERY IMPORTANT)
Enter your email account info for @me.com
On the incoming mail server page
Enter the account type as IMAP
Enter the account description as iCloud
Enter the incoming mail server to imap.mail.me.com
on the outgoing mail server page
Enter the account description as iCloud
Enter the outgoing mail server to smtp.mail.me.com
    Check use only this server
And your problems SHOULD be solved
If I were you, before messing with the Keychain stuff I'd try editing the incoming and outgoing server address in the mail program first to see if that's a shortcut.
    Good luck!

  • Can I access my e-mail from Yahoo on my home WiFi?

I am new to the Forum and BlackBerry.
My wife bought me a secondhand BB 8900 [Vodafone] on the internet. She put in the sim from "Talk Mobile" and I am able to use the phone fine.
I am also able to connect to my home BT WiFi and the phone shows up on it's screen that connected to my WiFi and it's ID.
Is there any way I could access my Yahoo e-mail on this device using my home BT WiFi?
I have tried by going to Advanced Options ->Host Routing Table->  "Register New" -> Getting a message "Registration Message sent with an exclamation ! Sign" but no messages are seen/
Read the online BB guide but not get to what I wish.
Is there any guide I could use to access my Yahoo e-mails on my device?
Thanking you in advance for your time and an answer.

  • How to block yahoo new messenger option in mail beta

    Hi,
Anyone know how to block yahoo's new option of messenger being in the
yahoo mail beta? I know we could just block access to yahoo mail, but
that hasn't been a real problem at this point (according to our logs
anyway) but now that messenger has been added there, it certainly could
    become a problem.
Have already blocked webmessenger for yahoo and msn, are there others
now? we have the other general blocks for the clients (port
    redirections etc)
    Thank you,
    Mike

  • Problems accessing Yahoo email with Mail on iMac

Hi, I can happily access my emails from Yahoo using my iPhone and iPad. However, neither my MacBook Pro or my iMac (both running Mavericks) can access my emails using "Mail". I can use Webmail on Safari ok, but whenever I try to access Yahoo mail with "Mail", I get a message saying I should re-enter my password, or that the Server is unavailable. I have 2 stage authorisation activated, and "Keychain", and I had to enter a special 'Yahoo-generated' password to allow my iOS units to work. However, each time I use my OSX units, an email says an unauthorised attempt to access my mails has been made.
I've tried deleting the account and reinstalling and rebooting etc, to no avail. I think that Yahoo needs to authorise the iMac and Macbook, but I can't work out how to do it.

Ive found the solution to this problem. Its the secondary sign in system used at Yahoo for unauthorised sign-ins. While its possible to authorise an iPad or iPhone using a special one off password, this cannot be done on a desk top. The simple solution is to switch off the secondary security sign-in option.
